The owner/chef, Elizabeth,
The owner/chef, Elizabeth, made us feel as though we were guests in her home. People were dancing to the music from Zorba as we sipped reasonably priced wine. Rather than order from the menu we were served the numerous house specialties. Everyone had something different and we all raved about our meals. We shared a variety of scrumptous (and healthy) appetisers and finished with home made deserts including tea/coffee directly from Greece. We feasted, danced & clapped our hands. When the night was over we smiled as we got the bill which was so reasonable we thought it was a mistake. I don't know how the night could have been any better for the 6 of us.

Authentic & reasonable
Wonderful family run place. Authentic, homemade Greek dishes with a charming Greek atmosphere and reasonable prices. Thursday nights they have a bouzouki (Greek guitar) player. My husband had their specialty roasted lamb plate, which he savored every bite. I ordered the falafel plate. The falafel was delicate and easily the best I've ever eaten. I now know what authentic falafel is suppose to taste like. We can't wait to go back. Great for dinner and lunch.

Great Greek Food
My wife and I had just returned from a beautiful vacation on the Greek island of Santorini. We absolutely love the wonderful Greek food. When I spotted this restaurant on OpenTable, I made a reservation for dinner.
Everything about our dinner experience was fantastic. I heartily recommend this small family owned restaurant to all of you.

Finally-a good Greek restaurant
This was our first visit to the Tastes of Greece, and it will definitely not be our last. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal from the "Daddy's" appetizer to the dessert. My wife ordered the grilled sea bass and really enjoyed it. I ordered the lamb shank and found it both juicy and flavorful. The lemon roast potatoes were a tasty side dish and the salad was super fresh. The owners came over to visit with us a few times and the wait staff was quick and very professional. The overall environment was clean and very pleasant.

A Gem Hidden in the Neighborhood
One would not expect to find a restaurant with such great food & service in a 'fast food strip mall'. I would've never gone in here, if not for a friend's recommendation. I'm new to Greek food, but this is authentic, the 'owner' (husband) is a Greek national. Look for the daily specials - there's more than one. And, the desserts are amazing - the 'owner' (wife) is a French-trained pastry chef. The only problem with the dessert menu is, deciding on which one to order.

Go for the Greek
If you want great authentic Greek food, this is the place to go; they know what they are talking about, and what they are serving. Everything we ordered was great and so was the staff, can't wait to go there again.

Great Local Place for Greek Food
A friend introduced me to this restaurant. Run by a husband and wife - the food is amazing. My first experience with Greek cuisine. I'm now hooked. This will now be one of our 'usual haunts' from now on. I'm trying to tell as many of my friends as I can about this place. And, you'd never guess at how good this palce is - based on the location (plane looking 'strip mall', where all other storefronts are not that great).

This family-owned & -serviced restaurant is a gem: good comfort food at great prices served by the wonderful couple who cooks for you. This deserves to be your extra dining room...without the work.

If you want Authentic Greek...
This is the place!!!! We have traveled the world and have eaten at some of the best restaurants, but there are not many in which I crave. The food is fresh, cooked to perfection and served with such gracious hospitality. Don't forget the Retsina. I walk out of this place feeling as I came back from Greece.

Greece in Laguna Niguel
We enjoyed Tastes of Greece for the food--interesting, not run-of-the-mill, authentic--as far as I could tell; the service--individual, personable, slow-paced; ambiance--neighborhood small, with great use of a small space as well as inviting design choices. The best part of the evening was that we were allowed a leisurely meal, no rush. The baklava was delicious, interesting flavors I've not had before. All in all, a delightful evening that we look forward to repeating.

"Authentic Greek" applies to more than the menu. The care and attention given to the extensive menu is also evident in the unassuming service provided by the owners and their staff. They almost seem embarrassed when asked for recommendations to guide you through the many possibilities of wonderful sounding Greek dishes. Be sure to ask about different dishes and especially the desserts. We overheard descriptions of the sea bass that when we asked about became clear we had to try it. And it was well worth the excursion from our habit of it's Greek so try the lamb. And overhearing about Elizabeth's homemade ice cream led us to discover something even better than the fish. This is definitely a must-revisit restaurant to try more wonderful food.
