Probably the best restaurant
Probably the best restaurant in Biloxi; certainly the most convivial.

praise to the chef and waiter
I was trying their food for the first time and I was not disappointed. Frank, my waiter, was attentive enough and took care of any issue of which there was only one in that I felt the lobster mac and cheese was much too salty, but it could have been that the porterhouse steak with Paul prudhomme seasoning was what made me notice the salt a bit more. I like a steak cooked with very little or no seasoning.
Anyway, after that was worked out the meal was fine and I was able to enjoy my 32oz porterhouse done exactly as ordered. I had the mixed veggies and asparagus done nicely as they weren't over spiced and you could taste the vegetable.
Overall, I would definitely go back and try some of their specials.

Great variety in the menu, one of the finest prime ribs I ever put in my mouth. THE BEST crab cake I ever had...beats Maryland!

As far as romantic it was
As far as romantic it was a nice location. It was a birthday dinner and the hostess put confetti on the table and we did get a free dessert. BUT the server was not very efficient. He didn't seem to know much about the menu when asked about some items. We did not receive any bread. The steak was very good. The fish was ok. The jambalya was not very good at all. We had to ask for more drinks. We asked for bread and the server said "oh did you need more"....I said we didn't get any to begin with. We still had to wait until the middle of the meal to finally get bread.
We did had plenty of time to spend together during our dinner for our romantic time....but we would have enjoyed eating while we waited.

Service staff are the best
the service staff have always been knowledgeable and timely with meal items. I learned that the Grand cut Prime rib is cooked to a rare and when ordered it is reheated by an au jus method. Basically boiling it like a corned beef, making it soggy! So this time I got the Delmonico Ribeye which was cooked exactly as I desired, except that it was over seasoned as was the porterhouse I ordered on another dinning trip there. Way too much salt! The lobster Mac and cheese was salty and the steak seasoning compounded the problem. Please back off on the salt. LB's did not respond to my last review as requested.

The chef produced a very tasty and done to perfection filet mignon special with small portions of meat potatoes and asparagus which left room for dessert.

porterhouse done right
This is one of the steaks LB'S does best. The deep fried artichoke hearts are nicely done, but the mixed grilled veggies are a little too petite for me. Tasty though. The meal, overall, was very good the only thing that took away from it was where I had to sit and the place was lighted too brightly.

Seafood pasta on the Gulf Coast
With a shrimping port only a few miles away next to the Hard Rock Casino why does LB's Steakhouse have canned shrimp smaller than popcorn shrimp in the seafood pasta dish? I could barely find the shrimp. A seafood pasta dish for $24 should have seafood that stands out and is not drowned out by the sauce and pasta.
Overall I had an enjoyable dinner, but it would have been more stellar if the seafood in the seafood pasta stood out as more than seafood flavor with real gulf seafood!

LB's Steakhouse was just we were looking for - good food, relaxing atmosphere, not crowded and not rushed. Wait staff was pleasant and enjoyable to speak to. Service was good.

New addition to menu
boneless pork chop was done just right.
I wish I could hear the names being called for prizes over the intercom. Maybe a silent flat screen with names called would help TR members to know that their name was called. Can't eat a meal in peace not knowing.

NY Strip was like an end cut
I never was served a NY Strip that was cut like it was the end of a roast. It was similar to the difference between a corned beef end cut and a flat cut. The end cut is the cheaper cut and that's what I felt I got. It was cooked more medium than the medium-rare I asked for, but was very tasty and the sides were very good. Overall I had an enjoyable meal.
