I love Little Star Pizza!
I love Little Star Pizza! The servers are kind and the thin crust White Pie is delicious! I do not consider other places for pizza because Little Star is just the best.

It was a pleasant surprise,
It was a pleasant surprise, that's all I need to say. We ordered a italian combo thin crust and a little star deep dish and both turned out great! We will go back.

Finally, deep dish pizza as good as
Since Pizzeria Uno closed a few years ago, the East Bay has been without really good deep dish pizza. My wife and I have been on a quest to match the quality of Chicago's Uno's and Due's and Gino's. Little Star is fantastic: no waiting because we made a reservation online, fantastic pizza (cornmeal crust baked to crisp perfection), decent beer selection, both draft and bottles, outdoor seating rivaling North Beach. It has it all. And I heard that a new branch is opening near Grand Lake Theatre. But Solano Avenue on a Friday afternoon...wow.

Amazing family visit to little star
This past Saturday afternoon my husband, 3 yr old son, twin 1 yr old boys and I were craving one of our favorite pizzas! We called little star to check availability. The gal who answered the phone was so lovely and let us know to come on down and that we would be accommodated. And we were. A perfect table outside, Gelato right away for big brother to keep him sitting and plenty of high chairs for our crew! Food was outstanding and service was perfect! Looking forward to our next visit to little star very soon!!

Great twist on pizza!
I made reservations for early Saturday evening for dinner with a couple of friends. The Goddess Salad was delicious. Remember, a small salad is enough for two people to share. I ordered the Classic deep dish. The cornmeal crust was the great pizza twist. It made the pizza lighter. I did not feel heavy and bloated when I left. Great stuff!

The superb cornmeal crusted pizza crust never fails to disappoint, and the tomatoes are less acidic than Zachary's Pizza. We always get the Little Star (spinach, garlic), and add chicken for an extra protein boost. The chicken wings are delicious but the Greek salad was limp and lackluster. Service was decent, but the servers were not scanning the room when they walked by. Water refills, extra napkins and the check all took a little effort in flagging down the servers.

A gem in Albany, CA
We've been here a few times since this Little Star "store" opened. It's been fairly convenient, even from the So Bay Area, since we used to come up to visit kids living in Berkeley. There are lots of pizza places around, for sure, but not many that do really good, very thin crust as well as a genuinely Chicago style deep dish. This really is a treasure of a place. On this visit we had great service from each of two servers who seemed to be teaming up to keep us happy. One note, I don't know how "noise" here is supposed to be rated. If I rate low does that mean low noise, or a poor condition regarding noise? During this visit, for lunch, the restaurant was not crowded, and certainly not noisy

Little Star Pizza has interesting and tasty pizza. The salads are good. I have eaten there at least ten times. Usually I have gone for supper and the restaurant is crowded and noisy. This time I took a group of seniors for lunch. There weren't as many people and it was fine. The folks seemed to really enjoy the food.

One Of The Best For Deep Dish
Little Star has some of the best deep dish pizza that I have ever eaten, including that in Chicago. Servers are helpful and polite. It is best to make a reservation if you want to eat during typical meal hours. Parking may be hard to find nearby. Restaurant gets noisy when it is busy. I highly recommend!

authentic Chicago pizza
Although they don't advertise their deep dish pizza as being "Chicago style," it is the only restaurant on the West Coast that I've found that meets (and even, dare I say, exceeds) the deep dish experience in Chicago. Little Star gets everything right: the cornmeal crust, the cheese, and the tomato sauce is beyond heavenly. The sauce has more spices and fresher tomatoes that what I've found in the Chicago digs.

BESTEST DEEP DISH AROUND
This place HANDS DOWN has the best deep dish pizza around. Its light cornmeal crust does it for me every time!! Whether deep dish or thin crust both have the same delicious crust!! The chicken wings & bleu cheese have a great flavor as well!! I would highly recommend this place to come for great pizza. The seating is a bit tight and this isn't the best place for crowds but the food is amazing.

Frequent guest, always content.
Frequent guest, always content. Deep Dish takes long to cook, especially on busy nights. I recommend you relax, have a beer, order salad, chat with company, and revel in the fact that you're out. Its worth the wait! Re: price point complaints; take-out and saves $, or enjoy lower priced lunch. Staff's always been courteous & professional. Some have been more "friendly" than others, but service has never lagged. Only issue I've ever had with Little Star is limited draft beer options, which they do augment with bottled beers. Its Pizza, which = families; don't feign shock at sight & sound of children. If you've got a hungry clan, call in pizza order ahead or make reservations and order ASAP. Any pizza is better with Racer 5! Come Hungry.

The thin crust ROCKS!
Little Star is excellent if you are a fan of thin crust pizza. The ingredients are fresh and the pizzas are remarkably yummy. The ambiance during our visit was less than enjoyable, simply because there was a table of small children whose parents apparently think it's okay to allow their children to use a restaurant's silverware and dishes as musical instruments. Frankly, I go out to dinner and spend money to enjoy the relaxation afforded by escaping my own kitchen now and then. Uncontrolled kids should be left at home or charged extra! But enough of that rant. Go to Little Star, by all means. It's delicious and the staff is very pleasant. But be sure to reserve a table or you could be faced with an hour-long wait list (it's that good)!
