It's rare to find a restaurant
It's rare to find a restaurant where everything you order taste AMAZING! Well that's what happened here. Definitely going back. And soon.

On Tuesdays The Park offers
On Tuesdays The Park offers a prix fixe menu, last Tuesday featured Shrimp & Grits. Josh makes a terrific Shrimp & Grits! Great flavor, good amount of heat, generous portions of shrimp and andouille sausage and creamy grits, oh yeah and a side of delish collards - yum, yum! We make it a point to go whenever Shrimp & Grits are on the menu. I have said before that I don't usually care for desserts at The Park, not the case this time. The cheesecake with strawberry sauce was luscious, creamy and light, with a wonderful tang of cream cheese, topped by just the right amount of a lovely strawberry sauce. Service was great, friendly, and helpful, thanks Rob!

Delicious and reasonably priced
Delicious and reasonably priced seasonal food. A great find!

The Park is a charming, small and friendly place with excellent food. Our waiter was very helpful, as was the entire staff. The owner/chef has wisely kept the prices low without sacrificing quality. Foodie Alert: Keep a watchful eye on Josh, who is a talented, self taught chef. He's on his way up. And his large, faithful fan base will be along for the ride.

Shrimp 'n Grits, a Park winner
We go to The Park and review it so often it is hard to come up with new words to express how much we enjoy the atmosphere, service and food. Every Tuesday Josh offers Shrimp & Grits on his Prix Fixe meal, we gotta go, no matter what. Tonight was no exception. As always great flavors, a good heat to the Andouille sausage, the greens deep and delicious and the shrimp, well, oh so shrimpy. The beignets were not the best beignets I've ever had, but they were delicious hot donuts with a chocolate drizzle, quite tasty!

This is my 4th visit, two dinners, one tasting menu, and now brunch. All consistently good. Service great. The food is just enough differently prepared to make it interesting, unique and tasty. Definely a must go!

As always, we love this place,
As always, we love this place, and it is an amazing value on Friday night, when you can have "dinner club", 3 courses (anything on menu) for $25. It is even a better deal since they now don't require that the whole group at a table get the dinner club. We shared our favorite starter, the Szechwan calamari. They had just changed to the current menu and service was a little slower than usual, but we were not in any hurry so this was not a problem. If you are really in a rush and want to be in and out in 45 minutes, don't go at peak times.

The food is great. I was disapointed that they did not have the duck confit on the lunch menu. The lunch menu is mainly salads and sandwiches. They are incredible. They do have a great soup of the day and a lunch special.

I really like The Park. Every time I go there I wonder why I don't eat there more often. I always feel like I leave satisified with a very good meal for a very reasonable amount of money. Sometimes the front of house seems a bit overwhelmed with what seems to be a moderate sized crowd but they are always nice and try hard to please.

Great Anniversary Dinner
My wife and I chose The Park for our anniversary dinner this year--she'd been wanting to go for awhile, and I was unfamiliar with it. The space is odd, the music's loud, but it's got great lowkey lighting and eye-catching artwork. We got a nice out of the way table in the corner, with an unflattering view of Sunset, but the windows are covered with cool fabric to obscure it. Really, it's all about the food. I had the hanger steak cooked to medium rare perfection, and really everything on the plate was fantastic. My wife had the sea bass which was delicious, but even better was the little mussel tortellini that came with it. And the butterscotch pudding and chocolate oatmeal tart were the bomb. First rate cuisine no doubt.

Great Food, Nice Atmosphere
A great neighborhood find. Very casual and unassuming decor, with some of the most creative and delicious sandwich creations around. Nice and helpful staff. A real treat.

Love the Park!!
The food was delicious, the service extraordinary and we had a great time!
5/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
The Park delivered on all fronts-service, food and drinks. We sat in the front patio area which is a great place to soak in a beautiful day. That stretch of Sunset is not too busy so traffic wasn't a concern. I took a peak at the inside dining area; it looked quaint but it wasn't loud which is good.
We had coffee and the coffee was delicious. It was strong and flavorful. I ordered the Park Scramble with soyrizo. The scramble and the potatoes on the side were delicious.

What a surprise...
Unless your going to Dodger Stadium you might never know of this restaurant. Found it on Open Table, checked out the menu and made a reservation for 9. What a surprise. Interior is plain Jane but the food, service and hospitality is an A++. Menu is imaginative and translates into something special on your plate. Waitress/service was great (remember there were 9 of us), very attentive and she even gave us seperate checks. I would go back in a heart beat.

I went to the park on a Tuesday and had a fantastic experience. They have their $15 supper club. Great price, great food, great place!
5/27/2013 4:00:00 PM
Tuesday is the night!
They do a 3 course $15 prix fixe. Always something seasonal and delicious. Love the chef and love this place.
6/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
have going here since its inception and it seldom disappoints. the price is more than fair and the quality in the kitchen is quite good. A pleasant neighborhood restaurant, not easily found in LA. Wednesday night hamburger night is an added bonus, but get there early, as parking can be a problem. Probably the only weak point is dessert we thought and the new wine list is quite worth considering.
6/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Despite the terrible parking, this is such a great neighborhood spot. Speakeasy Tuesday is a terrific prie fixe value at $15 - special menu including soup or appetizer; entree; dessert. At $25 Friday Supper Club prie fixe menu (includes 3 course selection from the regular menu). This latest experience was no exception and our server, who recognized me from prior visits, was very welcoming. I love the bistro fare and it's also one of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch.

Outstanding Food, Reasonably Priced
My co-workers and I have throughly enjoyed the food at The Park. The selection of food and reasonable prices keep us coming back for more. The only negative is that street parking is limited on some days. LOVE this place!!!
6/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
I am never disappointed when I visit The Park, which is frequently. Chef Josh sends out his weekly newsletter and it's always interesting and thought-provoking. He features special evenings, a give-away, excellent service, friendly staff. The food is always good and often unusual. Foodies will not be neglected; nor will vegetarians. My only complaint is the noise level, but that means the place is doing well.

Little gem in Echo Park
Great gem near Dodgers stadium. Good food, pleasant service.

Great Food, Great Service
We came for The Park's Tuesday night $15 dollar three course prix fix menu. The food was interesting and everything was delicious. I particularly liked the lentil soup they served. Nothing was overcooked. Service was quick and very personal. It seems like a real neighborhood spot and some of the other diners are clearly regulars. I'll be back.

We love the Park Restaurant
My fiance and I live up the hill from The Park Restaurant and it's our favorite discovery. The food is always excellent and we appreciate the variety of items they have to offer. We've enjoyed their Tuesday specials and we're always anxious to see what they have to offer next week! The staff there is always incredibly professional and pleasant - I'm impressed how much they can handle when they're very busy! I highly recommend this restaurant!
7/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great, as usual
I have been to the Park on several occasions and each time it has been outstanding. Excellent food and service. Menu continually changing and never disappoints. I highly recommend it.

Great food in the neighborhood
I love that I live within walking distance of such great food. The menu has a mixture of comfort food and some more eclectic options but everything is good. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had a reservation, but the party at our table took an extraordinarily long time to finish their meal, so we had to wait quite a while. The hostess and our waitress were both incredibly accommodating and comped us two rounds of drinks. We ended up being there after the restaurant closed, but no one hurried us. I ordered the house-made veggie burger, which was delicious and soy-free. The Park feels more homey and genuine than its peers in the mid-priced farm-to-table genre. It's also that rare restaurant that isn't too loud or cold inside.
8/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had the best ceasar salad
We had the best ceasar salad I have had in years. For the main entree, I had halibut dusted with red flakes and a chile relleno. It was really good. For dessert, we shared a strawberry rhubarb crisp. It was the right amount strawberry sweet with rhubarb sour.
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great neighborhood find
I came to the Park on a recommendation from a friend. Although I was skeptical because of the neighborhood I'm glad I tried it anyway. Innovative menu, great tase and presentation, service was great and staff friendly and professional. My only complaint is that it was too warm in the restaurant.
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Another great dinner at The Park
Bracole with Italian sausage over pasta, bulls-eye on the flavors and presentation. It has been a while since we had this meal, so I forget exactly what the salad was, but I can tell you this - it was creative and delicious. Josh provides seemingly simply twists with salads to make them new and special. Dessert - a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich w/ caramel semi-freddo in the middle & a strawberry milk shot on the side. The flavors & textures of this dessert were exceptional, tantalizing & very satisfying. The semi-freddo as a filling for the sandwich was too soft, so the form didn't work for me. The Park has been making semi-freddoes lately and the 2 or 3 that I've had have been lovely.

Great pre-Dodger's game spot
I went to The Park with my girlfriend and another couple before a Dodger's game; we wanted a lunch spot that was walking distance to the stadium and this was perfect. We all got lunch but the brunch plates we saw also looked good. Complimentary coffee cake while we waited was a nice plus.
The sandwiches we ordered we all large and tasty (pulled pork, buf chicken and avocado gruyere) with fries or salad on the side. The beer list was limited but had a nice variety.
Service was the only part of our experience that could have been better. Wouldn't call it poor but it was a little slow and lacked personality.
Overall I would recommend The Park and would return if in town for another game.

Great place in Echo Park!
My husband is a vegitarian, I love meat and our kid loves pasta! It's the perfect place for us to all get what we want! They great wines and beers, very creative specials and a super nice staff. We recommend this place all the time!
9/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
If you haven't been, you have to go. The food and service were excellent. I haven't been to a friendlier more delicious restaurant and it's a great value, especially on Tuesdays.

The Park, best tasting food in LA!
The Park is a small, unassuming restaurant in the heart of LA that makes some of the best tasting food! Everything from the Salads, to the appetizers, to the main course to the dessert and even the smallest garnishes are laced with unequaled flavor. Since we visit this restaurant so frequently, anything we say would be redundant. Instead, I will write about the amazing special we tried on this particular visit. The Lamb Moussaka was the highlight this evening and it was incredible! We visit many Greek restaurants and even been to Greece once or twice, but nothing was as good as this this. Every bite was filled with flavor and the freshest ingredients! Not a fan of Baklava but it was amazing here, VERY moist!!!

Always a treat
The Park is a neighborhood place that does good food well. It has great breakfast and dinner - easy and delicious lunches... Fresh food - where they try out new flavors and combinations. For example - their watermelon feta salad with mint and a balsamic reduction is ridiculously good. But they also do the staples like spaghetti and meatballs or the roasted half chicken with fries and arugula right every time.
The staff is lovely and I've never had a bad time. Really nice place to go with friends to have a good meal, talk and relax.

Best Food In LA.
The Park continues to excel in food, service and ambiance!
I attend this restaurant every week to try the new Tuesday specials which are excellent.
This week included Osso Buco which was amazingly tender and flavorful.
Even better was the Apple Cake which melts in your mouth but last in your taste buds!
Rob is a fantastic server and the cook is a God!
Great Job To The Park!

The Park continues to provide some of the best food and service in the city.
The Barrumundi was on special and it was absolutely delicious!
The Butterscotch Pudding is also pretty amazing!
Wonderful food, fast/friendly service and excellent location.

The Park is a Hidden Treasure
Intimate restaurant with great food! On our most recent visit we had the lobster, scallop mousse slider starter. It's served on an eclair bun with a scattering of pink grapefruit bits on the plate. Light and flavorful. Had an earlier version that came on mini cream puff buns, made in-house. Both versions were excellent. The hangar steak was cooked nicely with tasty twice-baked potato. The grilled salmon was served in a lovely sauce with kale and mustard green dumplings. The dumplings resembled potstickers with thick skin v. a fritter type of dumpling. Great to have a local restaurant that served such interesting and delicious food at a very reasonable price. On the weekend, there are often lines out the door. It's worth the wait.

Loved this place
We went to The Park on a whim and will definitely be back. The food on a whole was excellent (I gave it a 4 star only because there was 1 item that my husband wasn't crazy about... but except for that, I would have given it 5 stars). The service was excellent and everyone was helpful and warm. Great neighborhood find.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
The Park rises above the standard kale salad / brussel sprout roasts sameness of so many of the restaurants in the Silver Lake/ Echo Park corridor with basically good cooking and some inventive dishes At really reasonable prices for the quality
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
Such a great spot. Food - GREAT. Service - GREAT. We sat outside it was perfect. The patio is the place to be. Such a great straight forward simple menu. So much flavor in everything we ordered. We WILL be back.

Great Neighborhood Spot
I love The Park so much. I have only ever been there for dinner, but they have consistently great-tasting, creative food at appropriate prices.
Awesome specials everyday (Speakeasy Tuesday: 3-course meal for $15, $5 burgers on Wednesdays, and half price wine bottles on Thursdays).
Chef Josh has a blog on the website - very refreshing, conscious, and open.
Cozy inside seating, quaint outside seating. VERY VERY VERY excellent and attentive service.
Favorite restaurant in Echo Park, by a very wide margin.

Can't keep this a secret.
The Park is an unassuming place near Dodger Stadium. The food is first class and varied. Chef Josh really strives to be perfect and his various special nights are understandably popular ($15 prix fixe Tuesdays, 8$ burger Wednesdays, $25 prix fixe wider menu Fridays). The service is usually great and friendly and it's a terrific bargain for the quality of food. It's getting crowded as people make the trip from other parts of town, so make a reservation and don't be disappointed.

Can't Wait to Go Back
This was my first time visiting & I made a reservation. They knew me by name when I got there. Everyone was so kind and the food was fantastic. Great atmosphere, too!
11/20/2013 4:00:00 PM
Gem of a find
It's not a glitzy, trendy place which I generally find too loud and the food so expensive that a light dinner can easily run a $100 for my husband and I. This is the kind of place I would go back to again and again. The food was delicious and the ambience comfortable and interesting. The art on the walls was created by local artists and the music was hip without being intrusive and loud. It was easy to have a conversation and really relax to enjoy the food and friends. We tried the three course meal they have on Friday night's for $25 and everyone in our party had nothing but ooos and ohhs to say as we sampled each others choices. I'd recommend it to all my foodie friends.
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
I have dined at The Park Restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always such a pleasant surprise. I like to try something different from the menu each time because I know chef Josh puts his heart and soul into each dish. This time the sea bass I tried was amazing! Also, the staff is friendly and attentive.

My Go-To Spot for All Things
I have a fond relationship with The Park Restaurant. After I proposed to my fiance, me, her, and our closest friends came to The Park to celebrate. After a graduation ceremony, everyone agreed The Park is where we should go eat. And occasionally, at random, I love to visit The Park and take in its charm, awesome food, and good times.
Just outside of downtown LA, It is one of the few places that I can take anyone from my various walks of life, and they will find something they will be satisfied with. They have dishes for folks like my family, who don't like to be too 'fancy', to dishes mostly for those who like to be adventurous, such as myself. Carnivores, Herbivores, Vegetarians alike, The Park rarely disappoints. A true neighborhood gem.
