Had wonderful brunch food.
Had wonderful brunch food. The pico de gallo and sweet corn omelet is a must. The service was pretty much perfect: our waiter had a great attitude, was very helpful with my menu questions, and let us stay as long as we liked. They were very accommodating for large groups, which is not easy to do for a Sunday brunch.

Group o girls happy
While it wasn't the most trendy scene, the place was hoppin, food and drinks and service all surpassed the typical DC tex mex places.
While Inwas there with a group catching up on old times and slugging margs, there were a couple of kids around which I'll keep in mind next time we r downtown with our crazy toddler. It was honestly so loud I didn't notice the kid til we were leaving.
Great salsa, chopped salad, and ceviche, and the servers were friendly and fast

I highly recommend the Tilapia
I highly recommend the Tilapia a la veracruzana as an entree. Very healthy, light and delicious.

Place was a bit loud but had good energy. I always wish there was a longer menu but what they have is good. Nice beer selection and drinks are always great.

Family night out
We had great service and the food was what we were looking for. I liked how it had the small neighborhood feel!

Hard to find an accommodating
Hard to find an accommodating spot in Logan Circle for large brunch gatherings, & Tortilla Coast offers solid food at a fair price -- & you can get a table!

We booked a luncheon reservation using open table for a colleagues birthday celebration. Upon arriving we were quickly seated, given the complimentary chips, salsa, H2o, and our drink orders were taken immediately. Our server was on top of everything....responsive, knowledgeable on all the menu items, offered good recommendations, and was overall top notch. There were only a few other diners - and food was a little slow leaving the kitchen, but upon arrival everyone seemed incredibly satisfied. If you are looking for a true "Mexican" experience, this place doesn't offer that "Southwest" flare - but it was solid. Would definitely go back.

Service made this outstanding
We were a large group of demanding and drinking women on a Saturday night, and each of us could not help but comment to each other how amazing the service was at this restaurant. We had people show up late, we had people order multiple drinks, and we had people with dietary restrictions and our server (Brandon K) juggled it all while keeping his calm and anticipating our every request. The food is good (the guacamole outstanding), the margaritas delicious (if a little weak), but overall I would highly recommend this for a group outing. It is rare in DC to find a place with service this great.

Good during work lunch
Went there for lunch with coworkers and had a good time. While our waitress was very nice she was also extremely slow. Our drinks came out after our appetizers and then when it was time to pay she was no where to be seen.

Great for everyone.
Definitely a neighborhood gem. Great for families as well as singles. Very friendly managers and staff. We live near the restaurant and come often with our young kids . Very kid-friendly and caring staff.

We'll Be Back
I was pleasantly surprised by our brunch visit to Tortilla Coast. I will admit that I have not been impressed with service or the food in my previous visits for dinner. We made a reservation on Saturday morning at 11:30. It was early enough that the patio had plenty of open tables. Our server Tangie was most accommodating to us and patient with me. I was impressed with the options for brunch that I had questions about almost every item on the menu (it isn't very clear what side dishes come with each entree).
I ordered the breakfast tacos, my sister ordered the breakfast enchiladas and my bf ordered the "hueveros rancheros". Not sure why they call them "hueveros" instead of "huevos" but all of it was delicious!

well done mexican
my tacos and my wife's salad were very good and well presented.
Warning though. They will push the Guacamole and it is good (though not spectacular) but it costs $12 which was more than either of our entrees.
Big outdoor patio and location make it a hot spot and popular for brunch.

Nice gathering place
I have been to TC many times but almost always order the happy hour selections, but this time our group was celebrating a birthday so we selected from the "specials" menu. The food was great!--especially the salmon. We had a nice large table and it was fine to hear each other. Our server, Sarah was most attentive

Wish I could give 3 1/2 stars, but I'm erring on the positive side for effort. We were there for a weekday lunch, so it was very quiet. It might be louder in the evening or on weekends because the space looks pretty echo-y. Tacos were good, if a bit bland for my taste, but the chips and salsa and the service were both excellent! Our server was attentive but didn't make us feel rushed at all. We will definetly be back to try some cocktails when it is a more reasonable cocktail hour.

Get the Guac
You will be a happy camper. Also, the jalepeno margarita is fabulous, too.
