We can easily recommend everything
We can easily recommend everything that we ordered: mushroom soup with chick peas, field green salad with a lemon vinaigrette, the steamed mussels, blackened catfish and the flourless chocolate cake. A variety of flavors, all balanced and delicious. And of course the draft beers are on the mark.

Went thinking it was Clementine's
Went thinking it was Clementine's but it has changed. Very pleased to learn when we arrived that Thursday was $10-off- bottle of wine night AND also Happy Hour from 5 - 7 pm with some $5 appetizers! Terrific waitress who had our table ready (needed seating for one in wheel chair) and was most attentive the whole evening. Like the reasonable priced and varied menu - including small plates. Had chicken nachos with great thin, crispy chips ($5), but too much salsa on top made dish soggy. Had fabulous homemade baguette crisps with warm crab dip but crab dip was a bit gooey. Had a nice arugala salad with a little goat cheese; and a shrimp and grits dish that was tasty. Very convenient when seeing show.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner before the Evasons show last Friday evening. The option of sharing small plates meant we could enjoy a variety of tastes - and that crab dip was the best ever. Wonderful dinner, wonderful entertainment; pleasant neighbourhood, convenient parking. It was a winner!

This restaurant's portions
This restaurant's portions are on the small side, but the food is very good. The menu was rather limited. All food is mostly locally sourced. The service was very good and attentive.

The cafe is a nice small size with a bar. The food selection was limited, but varied and well prepared. We all got the portobello sandwich which was perfectly spiced and had lots of garlic which we like. A requested substitution was made for the pasta salad side. One of our party loved the bread served with the oil prior to dinner. I felt the oil was perfect, but I prefer crusty bread to the soft almost gummy chunks that were served. The side of greens was fresh and the dressing was perfect (maybe a little too salty for my taste). Everyone was happy with the meal and thrilled with the service. Two had drinks and enjoyed those.

Terrific entrée of softshell
Terrific entrée of softshell crab. More variety of entrees would be welcome, if the kitchen can handle that.

A night at the Creative Alliance
How wonderful to go to see one of the great events at the Creative Alliance and to be able to have a nice dinner before. Parking can be difficult but it really helps to be able to park first and go to the Marquee Lounge for a very good dinner in a handsome room. Then you are right there for an art show and an event in the theater. What a great date night in Baltimore! The Marquee menu is always interesting and inventive with both full meals and lighter dishes. I had the soft shell crab with cheesy grits! Delicious! My only complaint is that if you order ice tea only one refill. Not done in most restaurants. Charge a little more but more refills. Otherwise, no complaints and enjoyed this very special restaurant.

okay food great service
it's hard to say you wouldn't recommend a place when the service & ambience are stellar. my french toast came from some doughy white bread most of us remember from grade school. but the syrup & blueberries were real albeit in small servings. iced tea & water always refilled before we thought to ask. we've been for drinks & small plates before & will return for that. but brunch was limited & a bit overpriced. still great room & people.

A true undiscovered gem.
The Marquee Lounge does not disappoint. Having had dinner there on five different occasions, the quality of the food has been consistently high and quite reasonable. Combinations are often inventive and delicious; e.g., pan seared scallops on a grilled sticky rice square with kimchi and a beet puree sauce. When we have had the soup of the day it's been sublime.

Located in the historic Patterson
Located in the historic Patterson Theater, this is a perfect spot to meet before a show. It's great to see this part of Baltimore become a new destination for the arts, dining, and getting together.
The portions are on the small side - which I prefer. It's easy to mix and share the eclectic fare. All very fresh, with a focus on local offerings. I liked the local ciders and beer selection.
Our waitstaff and especially our concierge were very accommodating (helping us with rescheduling our time table). They even went out of their way and delivered flowers backstage, to our favorite performer. Gracious service.

Its a small space but the food was outstanding. Farm to table and good baltimore elements.

Small But Good
Small Menu, Small Restaurant, Good Food, Good Service
Have been there 3 times and always enjoy the food, service and scene.
Scallops were a little salty this last visit but that is the only complaint we have had since going there.

Perfect A&E District Location
A nice way to cap off (or start off) your visit to Highlandtown Arts and Entertainment District: Have a great meal, see a lively performance, visit a new exhibit opening!

This restaurant is attached
This restaurant is attached to the Patterson Creative Alliance which is a wonderful venue to see local artists perform. My wife and I are vegetarians and we had several options to choose from. We chose a mushroom patty and autumn salad with the house red wine. We were both very please with our selections and the staff made sure that we were on time for our evening show.
