Worth checking out
Fresh ingredients, a slightly limited menu but, that shouldn't really get in the way. The pork chop is delicious! The grapefruit, avocado salad also incredibly good for something so simple. Last but not least, the grapefruit cheesecake is a MUST! (this is coming from someone who is not the biggest the grapefruit fan)

Had an awesome first time experience....will definitely return...everyone was very friendly, with good recommendations on the food.

This is my second time at
This is my second time at Salt's Cure, and once again, it knocks the ball out of the park! The menu changes daily (though I think they always have the burger, which is a MUST). I sit at the bar where I can watch the food being prepared. I say prepared instead of cooked, because the owner/chef is truly "preparing" the dishes! Watching him pay such rapt attention to cutting the flank steak before placing it on the plate, or making sure the marlin or smoked escolar sit "just so" on the plate is truly something to behold, but then, when you taste it...oh man!

The food was very good, the experience/service could have made it better. Just a suggestion, next time someone walks into your empty restaurant WITH a reservation don't give them the crappiest table and tell them you have no room. I really didn't need to have the server reach over my friend's head to adjust the light switch, or have the other server's rear rub against my shoulder when she was using the computer, or have yet another server eavesdrop into our conservation and interrupt us because she was SO interested. Especially when I asked could we be moved and the server points out the then empty restaurant and tells me there no room??? Uummm...yeah, that's why I made the reservation...I know that it's a small place.

It's places like Salt's Cure
It's places like Salt's Cure that give Los Angeles soul. The food is simply good, AND unique! The atmosphere completes the experience, as you sit in the comfort of the low-key neighborhood, and feel the buzz of the whole staff from kitchen to table. You sense the people's love of their craft, and the earnest intention of sharing it with other people. When you're distracted by another seductive city such as Manhattan, a rare place like Salt's Cure tugs you back to Los Angeles.

The half chicken may be the
The half chicken may be the best roast chicken in Los Angeles: the skin is crisp, the meat is moist and tastes of chicken and the sauce is bursting with flavor. We would not have ordered it if Ben, our waiter, hadn't insisted. Kudos and thanks to all.

Although this place is known
Although this place is known for its meats, I would say the sirloin steak I had for dinner was very good, but not fantastic. On the other hand, the frites were out of this world, and so were the pickles and pretzel. Service was very good, and the place overall is lovely to be in.

Food was great but wine pours
Food was great but wine pours were very small. Or at least from our waiter.

I just loved everything about
I just loved everything about this place. I went on a Monday night. It wasn't so busy. It wasn't so noisy. The space is small and intimate. The service is friendly and on point. The dishes were nicely done and the desserts were A-mazing!

Second visit and am happy to have gone back this close to my last visit there! Awesome food, wine and the staff is utterly friendly and helpful!!!

I've now been twice, this
I've now been twice, this is some of the best food in the city right now. Simple, unadorned, amazing dishes. And while they have vegetarian dishes that are terrific, this is an amazing place to get roasted and grilled meats. It's wonderful.

This is a great meal, made with integrity and passion for food and cooking, served with enthusiasm and warmth that is absolutely delicious in a perfect balance of atavistic (it's all about the meat) and refined (everything is made in house and by hand). Which is not to say that the salads and sides are anything less than delicious as are the house-made pates and cured meats. I suspect that they do wonderful things with chicken and fish as well, but I came for the Berkshire bone-in pork chop and my wife ordered the braised pork shank and we were very, very satisfied. Small but thoughtful California wine list, one well-chosen draft ipa and a few craft beer bottles. Would have liked a cider with the pork. Go here with an appetite.

Best leg of lamb
This is a tiny place with seasonal, local food. The menu is limited, but the vegetables are from the farmers markets and the meats are from small fars in California. The leg of lamb with English peas, sugar snap peas and pea vines was the best leg of lamb I have ever eaten. It was perfect in every way. Their draft IPA, Black Market was great. I also loved the salad with mixed greens, avocado and blood oranges.

We went early so the place was quiet. We could actually hear each other! Limited menu and definitely not for vegetarians. What it lacks in ambience it makes up for with great food. Large portions. You can definitely share the sides. We had the chili pork, pork chop and chicken. All were delicious. Starter avocado & citrus salad was fresh and light. Tomato soup and grilled cheese were lovely. My favorite thing was the grilled bread! I would go back just for that.

a tradition in the making
i plan on going a couple times a year to 'salt's cure' ... i want to taste everything they dish out, being that the steak i had on this occasion was seasoned and cooked 'medium rare' to perfection ...

Really super food
There is just a very considered approach to the cooking of very excellent ingredients. I highly recommend the for well prepared simple food. High quality incredients and just a great find

I have been to Salt's Cure probably 15 times. I had not been back in a while and it was an excellent as ever. I love their small menu focused on whatever they have that is fresh. If you like Animal (on Fairfax) then you will love (and prefer) Salt's Cure.
These guys are the real thing.

Three different tastes
When's the last time you tasted something totally different? I had three such tastes a few nights ago at Salt's Cure. Two were foods, and were probably due to their love of curing/pickling. The other was a wine that went perfectly with desert but was not sweet. My wife thought the meats were too salty, I thought they were perfect. Cheers!

Excellent food & ingredients.
Everything at Salt's Cure is made in house, from the bacon to the sausage to the hand-milled coffee, etc. Everything is sourced and cooked with care. The menu changes daily. They run out of things as the night goes on. The menu is written on a chalkboard. This is not your average restaurant. This is not a corporate dining establishment where the food comes trucked in cardboard boxes, nearly prepared. This is real food, slow food, with an open kitchen you can see, chefs you can talk to, where everyone involves cares that what you are eating is exceptional. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Exceptional food. Never had anything there I didn't like.

Good food and celebrity siting
Had the Orange Wine and a sour beer that were off the charts different and delicious. My fish was perfectly cooked, my fiance's veal was tender and delicious, as were the bites I had of my friend's chops. The Charcuterie starter for the table was a perfect blend of rich and savory pate's, meat and cheese, plus several B-list celebs popped in and out while we dined. The entire time we were cared for with humor and grace by the small staff. Great experience.

Deliciousness in WeHo
Sally's Cure is a delicious farm to table restaurant.
Simple menu and outstanding food.
I loved the homemade pretzel. The corn and crab slaw was also amazing.
We had the pork chop and short rib stew. Both were tender and perfectly seasoned.
We tried all three desserts- the grapefruit pie, pound cake and chocolate pudding. Pudding was ok but the pie was amazing. I have never had anything like it. The pound cake was great too.
This place has amazing food and service.
I will be back.

Great meal, great service
My friends and I went at 5:30 p.m., right when the restaurant opened. Our server was fun and friendly and gave us good recommendations. The menu each night is small, but everything was delicious. The portions are perfect, too. The chefs even let us order a side of bacon (not on the menu) just because one of our diners wanted to try it. (It was really good.) Pricy when you add in wine and dessert, but nothing I wouldn't expect for the high quality of food and service.

Meat Lovers Heaven
Fabulously prepared pork, chicken and beef. Great pate & cheese plates, salads & more. Best grapefruit pie on the planet.

Great night out!
Went with my boyfriend for date night at Salt's Cure. Was not disappointed. We had the cured meats board, pomegranate salad, sardines, pork chop, and the grapefruit pie. Everything was fresh and local and very delicious. It paired very nicely with the bottle of rose and all in all was a great meal! Can't wait to go back!

Delicious Hidden Gem
I pass this place everyday on my route to work and I never even noticed it! Found it on Opentable and needed a good first date spot so I picked it based on the reviews. It was a great intimate setting, not great for groups because it's so small. Cool how they change the menu from time to time and it's a small offering, which I like. Everything is locally grown and produced which promotes local business and it's all organic. Service was outstanding and the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. I had the half chicken breast which melts in your mouth and my date had the porkchop, while we shared a grapefruit & avacado salad. It was great! Would def recommend and would go again.

I took my date to Salt's cure and it was a great success. She had the squid and I had the swordfish.
"We need to come back here again. period."
not sure what I liked more, the fact that she was so please, or the fact that it insured me another date? either way props to Salts.

Inventive dishes with California
Inventive dishes with California focus. I tried the squid and lamb sausage entree which was very tasty. I'd like to go back and sample more.

Great night out
Went with my girlfriend and we had a blast. Server was on top of his game and all of his recommendations were spot on. We had the pickles for an appetizer, the thresher shark for an entre and both were out of this world. Awesome beer and wine list, great for a date or even with friends. Definitely going back.

Real care about ingredients
These people search for the best meat and other fresh ingredients. Then they cook simply but with care. The pork chop is mouthwatering, the sauce scrumptious.
Singles or couples can sit at the bar and watch their meal be seared and sliced.

Some hits some misses
Came here after reading about it on foodie website. Had a charcuterie plate which featured house made products. Was not very impressed. Many of the selections had an "off" or metallic taste. I am usually a fan of well done charcuterie but would not order this again. Roast chicken was flavorful and crisp. Nothing came with any sides and the one we ordered was tiny.
Overall some well prepared dishes but not really a foodie destination.

This ranks among the top 5 restaurants on my list as far as food quality.

If it's on the menu, get it. Amazing crust, melt-in-your-mouth, savory deliciousness.

excellent place for lunch,
excellent place for lunch, yummy pickles, burgers, fish sandwich, the pretzel was not as pillowy as I wanted- i like my pretzels to be thicker than bread, it was almost as if they made a brioche and pretzel hybrid. and the mustard was way to seedy (being from philly and visiting Germany many times)
the desserts, specifically the grapefruit pie was unbelievable! greta place for lunch for the meat lover!
