We have always liked the food
We have always liked the food here very much, but on our past visits we have had very slow and somewhat inattentive service. This time we had Micah for our server, and he was great, along with the food and wine he recommended. We will ask for him when we return. Two continuing problems keep us from rating this place as outstanding on this visit: it is very cold--we had AC coming out of a vent under us even though it was very cool outdoors, and the tables are too close together for the comfort of patrons and servers.

Fantastic menu and atmosphere
The patio dining on a beautiful evening with my group of coworkers was great. The appetizers were delicious and we shared a little of most of the entrees and they were all good. The desert that is like donuts wholes(I can't remember the name) dipped in the Carmel sauce was out of this world.Demetri our server was on top of everything from the get go. Drinks were refreshed quickly and items wwere cleared quickly while the next items arrived. The prices were great for the quality of dining experience provided

First time there wont be the last
The quality of service made this meal. As soon as we entered everyone from the hostess, to our waiter and the floor manager made sure we had everything we wanted without seeming hovering. The food was wonderful from first course to last and I couldn't have asked for much better. Finally the drinks were among the bets I have had in Bloomington I highly recommend ordering off their specialty cocktail list you wont be disappointed.

Greek Easter at Topo's 403 was fun! The food selection was great. Everything was delicious. The servers were attentive and friendly. The music was lively. The restaurant is elegant.

"Third time is the charm"
I've enjoyed dining within the relaxed yet exciting atmosphere at Topo's three times within the past few months. The service is outstanding. I really enjoy the selection of Greek wines.

Definitely would dine here again
The service was attentive and polite, and the building itself is beautiful. The food was wonderful; so good, in fact, that I wish there had been a little more of it! :-)

Fresh and well prepared
The Moussaka was the best I have had in a very long time. Made in the traditional way and using obviously fresh and quality ingredients.

Great first time experience!
Wonderful, well-prepared and flavorful food. Lovely atmosphere (inside dining) and our server, Dimitrious was helpful without being intrusive. The only "complaint" would be that the level of the contemporary pop music being played when we first arrived was too loud. Later it was switched to something more conducive to a low-key dining experience. The desserts we tried were AMAZING!

Top-end cuisine, lacking volume
A very nice dining experience...but would be better if eg. they provided a salad with entrees. They didn't even include bread, which was surprising.
We paid $67 plus tip for one entree, two appetizers and two drinks, plus one dessert. No complaints about the food, which was excellent, but we expected a bit more for that kind of bill.

Vegetarians are "accommodated"
We had a nice meal at Topo's 403 on a quiet weekend evening. We were seated at a nice table in a corner, and the service was wonderful. The cocktails were yummy, and the beer/wine list is varied and interesting. We are vegetarians, and as there was only one entree provided for vegetarians, we ordered several other items on the menu to try. All of the food was well prepared, and the ingredients were fresh. The entree seemed like it was devised by carnivores that thought they had some idea of what vegetarians eat. That being said, it was well prepared. Dessert was lovely. If only Topo's embraced their vegetarian clientele (not a rare thing in Bloomington), we would be inclined to come back regularly.

Very nice meal on a quiet summer weeknight - outdoor patio is very pleasant. The food was quite tasty with a Greek flare. The Seafood Misto was crisp and pleasant but nothing special. The Greek salad was excellent and very fresh. The vegetarian grilled vegetable entree was nicely done and well flavored. The Golden and Ruby trout was delicious and well presented.
The wait staff were very friendly but our waitress seemed a bit inexperienced. Not a big deal and overall very pleasant.
The building and indoor space is spectacular - it is the real star.
All in all, it is a nice addition to the Bloomington restaurant scene.

Sat in a back room booth. Wait staff friendly and very professional. Food and wine very good. All in all, very enjoyable.

awesome food, awful service
Sat out in the patio listening to Istanbul Breeze play beautiful Turkish music.
A delightful list of specialty cocktails and a to-die-for moussaka, but every element of service was painfully slow and out of synch--especially given the quality (and price) of the meal.

As soon as we sat down my mother commented, this reminds me of Greece. We were seated on the outside patio, and with the umbrellas, strings of lights, and a well appointed outdoor decor I immediately knew why she said that. Tonight we were there for dessert and coffee, so I can not comment on any of the savory dishes, but if the sweets are any indication of the quality of the food, then it might be worth over $20 for Souvlaki. My dessert was the Loukoumades. These are not your typical loukoumades that you find at the Greek Festival, instead of being a light airy doughnut hole, these were more like fritters. A very modern, American twist on a Greek favorite. p.s. I wanted to lick the caramel sauce at the end.

Another fine meal...
We had another fine dining experience with good friends at Topo's 403 this week. The lamb entree was fabulous! Three members of our group had the Seafood Papperdelle (SP?) and raved about it all the way home! Thanks to Chef Jason and the entire team for such a delightful time. We've gotten to known the staff by name, mainly because they are so helpful and diligent in their duties. Will definitely be back!

Our out of town friend specified that he would take us to dinner at someplace NICE. Topo's was the obvious choice. Never disappoints. This season's fish dish (trout) is as spectactuar as previous ones.

Our new favorite restaurant in town
We went to Topo's for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we loved our experience there. At first, we were hesitant to open the front door, since it seemed like we might be intruding into somebody's grand old house. However, after we did, we opened ourselves up to an excellent evening. The owners have done an wonderful job refitting the house for a truly unique and upscale dining experience. All of the staff was terrific, and they even added some excellent personal touches given our special occasion. We sat in a really cool private room at the back of the house, and everything we ate and drank was terrific. We've explored a lot of different dining options in Bloomington, but Topo's is now our favorite restaurant.

Interesting, tasty food in a beautiful old house. The service is courteous but astonishingly slow--our complete meal for four people, with appetizer, salads, mains, and desserts, took nearly three hours. We were not in a rush that night, so we didn't mind, but I would not choose to dine there if I had other plans after dinner.

Very nice but room for improvement
Lovely waitress, very knowledgable and helpful. Some of their entrees need a bit of refining (the chickpea popcorn is a nice appetizer, but monotonous - chef needs to vary the flavors/textures a bit). One vegetarian entree option available and not that tasty. It's okay, but it's clear their emphasis is on meat options and they didn't put a lot of thought into a tasty vegetarian dish. My Greek spaghetti was delicious but needs a veggie side. Nice varieties of spirits available, lovely desserts. Overall a nice experience, ambiance is lovely.

Great New Menu at Topo's 403
Had another great time at Topo's 403 on Saturday. Terrific new menu includes tuna, braised spare ribs, grilled pork, several new appetizers and salads, as well as some older favorites and their four wonderful desserts! Appreciated all the hard work from the entire staff who ensured that our visit was memorable! Will definitely be back - even if it does mean another road trip! It's worth it!

Dined with my wife and two
Dined with my wife and two other couples on a Friday night. We split 3 apps which were all quite good. In particular I really enjoyed the dates. I ordered the lamb burger and it was really good. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals too. Presentation was nice. Decent beer list but I'm a bit of a snob in that regard. There were some musicians playing in the front of the house which were quite loud, but luckily we were seated in the back and the volume was fine back there. Prices were a bit steep for me, but reasonable when compared to the competition. My wife and I had 3 drinks each and our bill came to $80+

Two vegetarian options!
We noted that Topos had a new menu with two vegetarian options, and because we love to share, we made a reservation right away. We really enjoyed our meals (veggie moussaka and briama), and also appetizers and drinks. They have a top notch bar and bartender. We hope that the inclusiveness will continue, and we will be back!

Great Birthday Celebration
We had dined previously at the restaurant and loved it "twists" on tradition Greek dishes. This time we used their private dining room for a double birthday celebration for three families. Even though we had a very large group of approximately 20, our service was tremendous and everyone loved the food. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant for making this a memorable birthday. We will definitely be back.

pricy but tasty
We certainly enjoyed the food but the prices were extremely high for such small portions. My husband was snacking immediately upon arriving home because he was still hungry. Yes, we knew this wasn't a "Golden Corral" type restaurant but just a bit more on the plate would look more appealing. My chicken salavaki (sp) was anaemic.... 3-4 bites ....just a bit more food would help appease the high cost.....
