I was told by a client that this has become her favorite restaurant. It has now become mine. Everyone was welcoming and wonderful, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent! Already going back there with my women's club.

Sips has easily become our favorite restaurant in Phoenixville. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food has always been delicious and well presented. And the pear martini’s might be worth the trip alone! On top of it all, as the weather is getting warmer, they have one of the largest outdoor patio seating areas around. Can’t wait to try it out on our next visit!

This restaurant was AMAZING!
This restaurant was AMAZING! The food was great, and the service was well-timed to let our group of four mingle and chat. We also managed to get there during a $10 off a bottle of wine night (Wednesday), which was a big bonus. Did I mention how fabulous the food was? Best risotto that I have even had! We will definitely be back.

We arrived during happy hour and the bar was full of familiar faces. Great drinks and prices. We ordered the filet again and it has been consistently delicious. The SIPS sauce is incredible. Great service. The manager gave us a tour of the patio and it looks beautiful. People were sitting outside but we will wait until it is a little warmer.

Great crowd. The patio looks beautiful. Food was delicious. Happy hour prices are wonderful. Can't wait to sit outside.

Good food, was a quiet night.
Good food, was a quiet night. Will definitely go again. Staff friendly but our waiter seemed a bit scattered. Enjoyed the drinks at bar!

Great food, excellent wine, outstanding service. Just what we were looking for to celebrate our son's college graduation.
5/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
While our husbands were fishing in Canada, a friend and I had a great Parisian dinner in Phoenixville. The menu has many French classics (moules, frites, brie etc.) accompanied by an imaginative selection of hand-crafted cocktails. Our server Liz was informative, attentive and a lot of fun. We can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer and sit outside in the patio area.

friendly neighbourhood bistro
The owner and staff at Sips was very welcoming at our Mother's Day brunch. The crab cakes were delicious as was the Crocque Madame. A mix-up about french fries was dealt with quickly and pleasantly. The blood orange margarita was also very tasty. We will definitely return on a warmer day to sample more of the menu and to sit outside in the lovely patio.

Wonderful Dining Experience
We went to Sip's for Brunch on Mother's Day and everyone in our party of 6 had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was warm & relaxed but still classy at the same time. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Sips for any occasion.

Delicious food, great atmosphere
I have been to Sips for dinner and for brunch. Fresh, delicious food, good presentation, and a friendly staff. My most recent visit for brunch included the avocado crab cakes (spectacular), eggs benedict, and a fresh fruit/granola/yogurt parfait. Beautiful bar with a nice drink list, very pleasant outdoor dining patio. I highly recommend Sips. Its just a really nice place that won't burn your budget and will satisfy your craving for fine food!

A Pleasant surprise in Phoenixville
We went to Sip's Bistro on a Monday Night after hearing about this place. The four of us all enjoyed our meals. My friend who ordered the Confit de Canard claimed it was the best duck she has had since here trip to France 4 years ago. Our server was polite and attentive and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. Cocktails were also made well and they have a few good craft beer on tap. I definitely will be back to Sip's sometime soon.

Enjoyable Jazz Brunch
My wife and I usually go out to dinner for our birthdays, but this year I thought we would try something a little different. We were seated in the back area of the restaurant where the sunlight created a warm and open atmosphere. Our server did a great job of checking in with us without being too intrusive. And, the food was outstanding as well as being reasonably priced. Both of us really enjoyed our meals - eggs benedict and croque monsieur - and dessert was a nice treat, just the right ending to the meal. The muscian played a nice selection of tunes without being too loud and interacted nicely with the diners. We will definitely be back so we can try some of the other items on the menu.
6/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
I can't say enough good things about our meal. From start to finish it was delicious and our server Michael was phenomenal. We'll definitely be back!
6/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great place for an excellent meal
Excellent food presentation and quality and perfect portion size. Dining outside was wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the staff is very attentive.

french toast will never be the same
Third time, first brunch. Rather than a typical Sunday brunch with a zillion mediocre dishes you pile on your own plate, their fixed price option allows you to choose from an interesting menu (Inc. brunch drink, incredible fresh croissants and coffee or tea and live music) - $17.95 (forgo the drink and eat for less). My poached eggs on salmon came with a great little mesc salad. My daughter got the French toast. I'm a bit of a french-toast-snob ... and this has ruined me for anywhere else. Ask for less (real maple) syrup in order to not cover the wonderful eggy, crispy flavor of the french bread. I don't think I can even make it at home anymore without wishing I was at SIPS.
6/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
I was pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised by how diversified the menu was. There is a separate bar menu for those who do not want a big meal. Very quaint and tasteful ambiance. The food was very good. I will definitely return.

France in Phoenixville
We sat in the indoor patio area--along a set of windows overlooking the garden. The service was crisp, and the food is carefully prepared and elegantly served. Our French bread to start was warm, with a crisp crust and warm center. The wine by the glass servings are enormous. My spinach salad had a light dressing that complimented the goat cheese and crisps. My lady enjoyed her Caesar salad as well. My Scottish Salmon with roasted vegetables had a glazed crust to die for; the salmon steak was thick and moist. Her Alaskan char in a cream sauce was equally delicious. We finished with a chocolate mousse. As we ate, I watched entrees, appetizers and salads parade by to other tables. Each appeared to be a work of love and art. This is a gem.
7/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
What a great place! Food was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic and the decor and ambience was perfect for my husband and I's date night. The profiteroles are to DIE for but the creme brûlée that walked past our table looked and smelled delicious too. The dining room was quiet but the bar area looked quite lively. They have a great menu and a great wine/liquor selection. I highly recommend Sips.
7/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
Another lovely evening
At our request, our table for 7 was moved to a charming spot in the outdoor dining area with no problem. The ambience, as usual, is delightful, and the food is excellent. The frog's legs, not a regular feature on most menus, were delicious. There was a small screw-up with the cocktail order, but it was straightened out with minimal fuss.
7/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
We enjoyed the restaurant immensely. Nicely appointed dining room and excellent food. Wonderful bar drinks. Left here very happy and intend to return.

We have eaten at Sips at least
We have eaten at Sips at least four times in the short time we learned about it; we like the ambience, the food selections, the presentations and particularly the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. If you like French cuisine you will love it!
7/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
As always, terrific
Another lovely evening at Sips: the food was great, not the usual run-of-the-mill menu, and Monday turned out to be all-you-can-eat moules night!
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
One of our new favorites!
We had such a wonderful meal at Sips, the second time we've been there. They have great cocktails, a nice wine list, and the service has been great both times. We look forward to going back again!
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
We ended up at Sips on Friday after a horrible experience at Marly's in Phoenixville. We've been to Sips before, so we knew what to expect. We chose to eat on the patio, since it was a perfect night. Everything was amazing...from the food to the service and the ambience!
If you haven't tried Sips yet...please do so and try to sit on the patio while the weather is still nice!
Thanks to everyone at Sips for a fantastic night, after the experience at Marly's!

Sips is to savor
Our first experience at Sips (ona BYO Sunday evening) was most pleasant and fulfilling. The wait staff was cordidal and attentive, and the food was wonderful. We also were pleased that there was ample parking at the restaurant (a rare commodity in the hoenixville area) .The Manilla mussels were very tasty, the Caesar salad was better than average, and the striped bass daily special was outstanding, as was the vanilla creme' brule. The menu had many attractive items, and we will return to enjooy some of them.

Hit it out of the Park!!
This was our first visit. We were completely transported back to France immediately, forgetting that we were in Phoenixville. Our amazing wait staff - Michael and Jeffrey were so attentive and professional it was obvious that they had been in the business for years. Solid beer list, great drink menu, and wonderful wine list. We started with the Moules Frites appetizer, fresh mussels, in a savory white wine, garlic and butter sauce. We then shared an entree and it's a good thing we did. Duck confit, much larger than most restaurants serve, two fork tender duck legs with pan seared onion and sliced potatoes that were incredible! We finished with a chocolate molten cake with creamy french vanilla ice cream, and the tart tartan. Perfect Spot

This restaurant was a classic French Bistro- well prepared, quality french food. The atmosphere was great, very quiet and modern. The only problem I had was with the food itself- the fish I ordered was very bland, and the bread was not authentic French. Still, the combination of courses and great service blew me away, and if you are looking for a special dinner/date out, the corner on bridge is just the place for you.
9/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
The staff was absolutely excellent. I am currently using crutches and the staff bent over backwards. The hostess also heard we were there celebrating a birthday. They must have mentioned it to our waitress because at the end of the meal she brought out a chocolate mousse with a lit candle.
They were wonderful. Food was great too.
9/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
There is no other word to describe our overall experience here at Sips. Everything from the presentation of the food to the service exceeded our expectations. And to top it all off, they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. The dessert alone is worth coming here- their chocolate mousse with orange zest just melted in my mouth, even non-chocolate lovers would enjoy it! Give this spot a try!

How am I still in Phoenixville?
And I love Phoenixville, but seriously, sitting on the back porch and relaxing with a glass of wine, I'm in another world. And with the oysters, tarrines, and mussels coming out of the kitchen that other world feels like a country in somewhere in France. I love Sips - what a fantastic experience.
9/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
My husband and I had been to Sips last Valentine's Day, and have been intending to return. Our previous experience was quite good, but expensive, so we relegated this restaurant to very special occasion status. We were excited about the menu selections, and asked our waiter for his recommendation. I took his suggestion, and ordered the monkfish. My husband ordered the bouillabaisse. The monkfish was perfectly prepared, served over a puree of lemon flavored potatoes, and topped with a very tasty black olive tapenade. My only regret was that there was not more of it. It was a very modest portion. I was glad that I ordered a side of sautéed spinach, or I would have left hungry. My husband's entrée was bountiful, and flavorful.
9/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had dinner at Sips during Phoenixville's Restaurant Week. I had the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The roasted asparagus with hazelnut oil was delicious. Dessert was crème brûlée, my favorite, which was lovely. The only negative was that the server kept saying "no problem" when I believe she meant to say "you're welcome". But even so it was the best restaurant meal I've had in a long time! We will definitely be back.

A wonderful restaurant
Absolutely wonderful French cuisine, and a lovely way to spend an anniversary with my lovely wife. On the way out, I also noticed that the bar is elegant and old-school, and intend to return at some point for a cocktail.

Food was very good. Service was a little too quick. Taking away plates prior to finishing. But all in all, very good. We will return

Sips continues to be one of
Sips continues to be one of my regular favorites. There aren't many French restaurants in our area (virtually none). So, Sips is a welcome addition. The food is good. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Parking is easy. It's a touch of Europe in Phoenixville. What's not to like?
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
A little pricey, but the food
A little pricey, but the food is excellent. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Our second visit; will return.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Found this through my Tripadvisor app on the way into town, and booked a table through a link on Open Table. Nice find. French cuisine, but plenty of menu choices for the non-Francophiles. For example, le Hamburger. I enjoyed the duck confit which was really good. My wife had one of the best caesar salads she's ever enjoyed, where the garlic was not heavy but the lemon was nice. Room was like an outdoor Paris street scene.

Great Sunday Brunch Experience
What a special event: wonderful brunch with a terrific saxophonist ! Had the chef's special - Steak and Eggs & loved every bite!
The Bellini was delightful too! Can't wait to do it again!. Have also enjoyed dinners and dropping in for drinks. A great addition to Phoenixville!

A pleasant place with hard
A pleasant place with hard to find French style dishes. Great food presentation, delicious meals, decent portions, attentive, professional servers. Casually elegant. Not cheap, but less expensive than similar places in Philadelphia. We have been here more than once and intend to come again.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
We were celebrating a friend's birthday, had a great corner table in the bar. Staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This restaurant has it all. Also, the best happy hour in town!
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Fabulous menu for brunch. We chose prix fixe menu with as much to drink as we wished for an extra $10 and thought the combo was a steal! The jazz guitarist added just the right touch: we were aware of the music, but it did not intrude on our conversation. The decor is varied and on a cold November Sunday the Solarium was the perfect spot for a relaxed and delicious meal. Our only criticism was the uneven service. We had three different people serving us and sometimes their signals got crossed.
11/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
Food was great, but service needs..
Our meal was excellent, however, the wait staff needs some improvement. We were at a small table and the young man bringing us our appetizer wanted us to move things. There was literally no room. Then he never brought us plates so we used our bread plates. When our meal came he looked perplexed as no one had removed our empty dishes from the appetizer. I think more training is needed in this area especially when you are paying the food prices you are.
