A terrific Mex-Mex place specializi
A terrific Mex-Mex place specializing in fish, but not exclusively. The red snapper and sweet potato was fresh and cooked just right. Save room for the coconut sponge cake dessert.

A little pricey but well worth
A little pricey but well worth it. I'd be more inclined to give it 5 stars if it was cost reasonable

This is my fourth or fifth
This is my fourth or fifth time at La Fisheria (family, group of friends, visitors, etc). Always very nice, excellent services and the plates are outstandings in presentation and tasting. Churros rock!
Only complains of most of friends, the high prices! Gracias...

Mother's Day - Slow but Scrumptious
As a precursor to the complaint about the service, I believe they were simply short-staffed; the food made up for the wait. Lovely beer batter on the shrimp paired with Bloody Mary's custom made to fit the palate. Worth the visit (and the wait).

A great hidden gem! All food
A great hidden gem! All food was very fresh, delicious, and a great mexican twist on seafood!

Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita was just awesome! Fresh and vibrant, cool with a slow burn...I'd recommend getting all appetizers, since the entrees fell flat and fishy. Everything in the apps section was a total hit. I'd go back and just order off of that section. The entrees were "off". Lobster wasn't wise on my part since it couldn't have been as fresh as the other seafood items. The lobster tail was way undercooked and was slightly "low tide on a hot day"...Coconut Cake with horchata ice cream was a total winner!

Fine Mexican Cuisine
By far the most traditional Mexican food we have tried in the US other than what she or some of our Mexican friends have cooked. We tried the tuna tostada, ceviche trio, snapper with enchiladas and adobado sauce, and coconut cake for dessert. All were fantastic! We will definitely be back to try some new dishes and cocktails. The place has a nice ambience and was not too busy for Saturday lunch. The service was a little off, we had to ask for silverware and napkins but only a slight issue. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The food is pricey for what you get but as long as mi esposa is happy, I am happy! If you want to ensure a table, make a reservation. The place is small.

My husband and I heard about this place from friends and we are so glad we tried it! Delicious fresh food and to die for jalapeño cucumber margaritas! Great service! Great date night! We will definitely go back!

1st experience at La Fisheria and loved it so much have already recommended it to friends. Margaritas are divine! Habanero sauce excellent! Restaurant week menu choices of tilapia, ceviche, tacos, wine - excellent! Had no idea that reservations seem like a must! Very accommodating even though we were 20 min late for our reservation time. Loved the colorful and hip decor. My husband and I don't usually go out a lot, but the fun atmosphere and fun time we had have convinced us that we need to do it more often. Great waiter too - love the hats they wear!

Love this restaurant
This is my favorite fish restaurant in the Houston area. A little bit more expensive than the average, but money well spent because of the high quality of food, the atmosphere and the service. A little bit smaller portions than the usual Texan restaurant, but still more than enough for the average person. The food is very nicely presented on special plates, and they have lots of great dishes with original combinations.
We have been there several times and every time food and service was great! I absolutely recommend this restaurant for everyone who loves the finer dining.

Fresh and Fun
The waitstaff was very efficient, help each other out to make things more efficient. The food was great. Loved the cevechii, clam chowder and special Mahi Mahi. Great first impression.

Unusual and Fun Evening
We had a good meal at La Fisheria. The place is small, and loud, reminiscent of a fishing village cafe in Yucatan Mexico. The lobster pizza was excellent. The pecasdo and enchiladas was also a unique combination.

Foodie "Must Do"
La Fisheria is a must visit and experience if you want to consider yourself a Houston Foodie expert!

Great food and service
Other than the too-expensive caipirinhas, the trio of ceviche, the special monkfish, and the lobster pizza were really good and all the servers were friendly and prompt. They even gave us a taste of some red wine they were considering offering and it was actually at the right temperature (60 degrees), not like most Houston restaurants that serve red wine too warm (yuck!). Also met the chef, who makes it a point to visit all the diners. Overall, an enjoyable night with great food.

This is a great place to go with friends or a nice evening with your lady. Our apps and meals were cooked to perfection and the service was awesome (ask for Ana). Timing was perfect and the selection was ample but not overwhelming. We will be returning for more!!!
