Overall a nice place
Had a great Sunday brunch. Food was awesome.
But the service was poor. We had to ask multiple times for things.
We will return. As mentioned, the food is really good.
Nice atmosphere as well.

Outstanding food - everything looked and tasted fresh.
Outstanding service - our server helped guide us through the menu and was attentive and timely all evening.
Hint: Go for something you wouldn't normally get. It's worth it. For dessert: have the flan.

Great Food,Great Service,Great Find
My husband and I were looking for a new restaurant to try and happened upon Kachina. So glad we decided to give it a try. The menu had a number of mouth-watering options and we enjoyed each of the choices we made. The green chile corn chowder was excellent as were the bison tacos I had (one of the specials for the evening). Martin, our server, was the perfect mix of helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant has a nice ambience and I look forward to enjoying their patio area for a happy hour or a summer evening dinner. We will definitely go back.

Still a bit slow
Once again we LOVED the food. A bit upset that you were out of the chimi dish but still awesome food.
We were looking forward to the bloodmary bar but it wasnt up and running until 11. Kind of a bummer.
Service was good.....server was very very nice. But still kind of slow.

A great surpise
We were tired of the same old stuff, so we opened up Open Table and searched for new places in our area. Kachina caught my eye and off we went. The servers were extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu, the menu had something for all tastes. From adventurous to safe and basic.
Everything was served right out of pan it seemed, nothing sitting around waiting for a pickup. There is even a food cart that comes through with a special item if you want a taste of something else. Very inventive and what a great excuse to indulge without seeming like a glutton!
I wont tell you what we had, but I will say it was delicious. Only because the menu is so varied by ingredient type, you should go without a preconceived idea of what to order!

Offer a few menu items that
Offer a few menu items that are not 'spicy' for those who do not prefer a zip in their food.

Not your typical hotel restaurant.
This was not your typical stuffy feel you get from other restaurants attached to a hotel. The atmosphere was lively, the service was very friendly. I liked the option to order food from local producers.

Jackpot find at Kachina
This was a wonderful experience from start to delicious finish! First, the decor was captivating - certainly not what you expect from a hotel restaurant. It's airy, beautiful, hip and elegant. The cocktail selections were amazing and the Prickly Pear Margarita truly delicious.
All of the food was fresh, well seasoned and very tasty .. great combination of flavors. The menu was robust and creative.
I MUST mention the outstanding service! Our server, Lenny, was amazing! He was all smiles, knowledgeable, courteous without being too overbearing and simply made the experience an overall delight.
I liked it so much I was back the following week!!

Great food, excellent atmosphere
Great food, excellent atmosphere and wait staff was absolutely fantastic!

The food was fantastic - everything
The food was fantastic - everything we ordered (including the vegetarian options) were really flavorful, and crave-worthy. The service was fair. Our waiter forgot crayons, even with multiple reminders (we ultimately never got them!), and also forgot our appetizer, which then slowly arrived after the main course. One shouldn't have to remind someone so many times - it felt a little awkward. But, the food definitely made up for the service.

once again - Kachina Shines
It seems I must eat here if I am in the Denver area. The trio guacamole was outstanding and plenty for 3-4 people. The service is beyond reproach. They see a possible problem even before you do such as they seated two very large groups and wanted us to know that service may be effected by that - so they made sure our food and drinks were exceptional. And you must end your meal with the coconut flan - it is the best ever tasted.

My New Favorite
This place is WONDERFUL!! The food is always fresh and delicious. I have dined here about six times to date. The servers are always well educated on what they are selling and passionate about it, and the ambiance is excuisite! They offer farm to table produce and meats, which are organic and grass fed. Such quality is very difficult to find without going to the overpriced and frankly pretentious hot spots in Denver or Boulder! Our Server Lenny took such good care of us that myself and my three girlfriends left on cloud 9! I absolutely love this place. Kachina completely trumps any notion that a hotel restaurant can be sub-par!

Met a girlfriend for lunch and we had a great time. Our waiter was great, which was nice since when I meet this friend it is usually o marathon session. Definitely will return

Great staff, great service, fabulous food, a delightful surprise!

Lenny was our server and did a fabulous job. The food was amazing. This was our second visit and the food was wonderful both times.

The food was very good, we
The food was very good, we loved the tacos, not the traditional shell. a wide variety of margaritas. The grilled corn was great. We will be back!
7/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
While the background noise can be somewhat high I highly recommend Kachina for both business get togethers and an evening out with your significant other. The food is always perfect and the drink list is great. You can not miss with guacemole or the enchilada.

Mexican Food at its Best
Kachina Southwestern Grill focuses on taste and presentation. They take Mexican cuisine standards like tacos or tamales to new heights. I have recommended the restaurant to at least 10 friends and everyone has reported back that its an excellent dining destination. I like the food cart that stops by the table to add new menu items while you are dining. Last time we had the roasted corn and it was the best I have ever had.
7/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
not a chain food place in burbs
SOO happy to have Kachina in the suburbs. Now we don't always have to drive to Boulder, Highlands or Denver proper for a good meal, good (and strong) drinks and great service.
The inside decor is nice and the outside patio is lovely. We've eaten dinner and brunch at Kachina many times and their food and service is consistently good.

I love food, so believe me when I say this place is great! The ambiance is fun, the waitstaff are unique and courteous, and the food is tasty. Overall, this is a scratch kitchen with attention to flavor and detail. Not only are the meals creative, they are labeled according to dietary concerns. Vegetarian with celiac? This is the place for you! Meat eater? No problem! Love homemade ice cream and food carts? Gotcha covered. I recommend this place to everyone. Their drink menu is fun too! Enjoy!
7/18/2013 5:00:00 PM
My wife and I had a date night here, which worked out great.
The menu was diverse with a new spin on traditional Mexican dishes,
Most plates average $15 to $25 and have plenty of options for less
The wine list was eclectic and had several choices that I rather enjoy
The service was good even at a peak time on a Saturday evening.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great bottomless mimosa or endless DIY vodka or tequila Bloody Mary bar. New Mexican food is excellent, love the green chile.

WOW! What a surprise! We chose
WOW! What a surprise! We chose this restaurant because of the reviews. When we pulled up and saw this was attached to a hotel, we almost canceled our reservation. So glad we didn't, this is a new favorite. Everything was delicious but I really recommend the tacos, worth every penny. Yum!

Wow- what a find! Loved this
Wow- what a find! Loved this place. Was just trying to catch a bite before a concert. The restaurant was more memorable than the show we saw.
8/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food very good
While the waitresses were spread a little thin, the food was very good and original.

New Twist to the Neighborhood
We were surprised the restaurant was located inside the Westminster Westin Hotel as it is not advertised this way. I guess some are put off by "Hotel food". But, don't be, the food was great, service was good and the waitress attentive although did not know much about the wine list. We really liked the diversity of the menu and a different twist to normal Tex Mex. We ate inside, but the outside dining area looked very inviting. I would recommend this restaurant - give it a try - we decided we would go back. Definitely try the Navajo Tacos.

Welcome 2 Westminster!
We were pleasantly surprised to find such a unique restaurant in a major hotel.
The staff was extremely congenial and knowledgeable. The chef has created an exciting menu, based on American Indian and Mexican cooking. The seasoning was incredible, just enough "zing" for our palates, but it might be a bit much for someone unfamiliar with the cuisine.
The chipotle shrimp and blue corn waffles was INCREDIBLE!
8/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Happy Hour Happy!
Kachina has the best happy hour in Westminster-- great 'margs and food. But, the prices can't be beat! Great place to catch up with friends in an amazing outdoor sitting.

Hotel dining but never disappoints!
OK, I admit, when Kachina opened a year ago and I found out it was in a hotel, my expectations dropped. Hotel dining is never really remarkable - right? Wrong! After 9 visits during the past year for intimate dinners, group gatherings, lunch and brunch, I have never been less than impressed with their execution of the creative and unique southwest inspired farm-to-table menu or their engaging, knowledgeable staff. The decor is fun and vibrant - the outdoor dining is perfect. One menu note - if their description of an item cites it as spicy - they mean it! Kachina does not "dumb-down" their seasonings for timid palates. Let the server know your comfort level with spice - they will try to accommodate or guide you in making the right choice!
9/3/2013 5:00:00 PM
My wife, and I, have been visiting every other week, or more, since we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here, early in the year. We love it, and recommend it, often.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Kachina's wait staff is every attentive and keeps you updated on the progress of the food. Although it took a little longer, they comp'd a free order of chips and dips, which were fantastic. When something was requested outside of the menu, they not only found out if it was available, but provided it. The food and drinks were excellent.
9/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
Very diverse menu! Loved that all (or mostly all) food comes from Colorado farmers and ranchers. The bone-in ribeye my husband had was a little tough but we are willing to give it another try! They did offer to take 1/2 off. Overall, though, everything tasted great and was well presented.
9/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great service, and ambience
Food was okay, but service and ambience was great. The tacos are highly recommended!
9/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Get the Duck Tacos!
Every time I go to this place, I like it more and more. We had great service and really good food. We love the Mojave tacos, which are the ones with duck confit. The guacamole is great, and the salads are amazing. Kachina compares well to Zolo Grill in Boulder; I actually like the food at Kachina better, and it has a fun, relaxed vibe similar to Zolo.

Went to Kachina for a birthday dinner on Saturday night. Live salsa band. Excellent food & service. Awesome drinks menu. Complementary birthday desert platter.
Will definitely be back.

Perfect Al Fresco Birthday Lunch
We had lunch on the patio on a sunny colorado fall day. The food was perfect - two PoBoys, a bowl of red chili and a grilled romaine salad - all well prepared and delcious. We were celebrating a birthday so we topped the lunch off with an order of beignets - perfect! Kachina never lets us down!
9/23/2013 5:00:00 PM
The food was wonderful. The staff was great. However, we had to yell at each other across the table to be heard above the music. Even our server had to keep repeating and asking us to repeat because of background noise. Turn down the volume. There is enough noise created by the natural sounds of Happy Hour which one would expect.
9/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Creatively modern food
I like their modern twist on southwestern cuisine. It's a great place to take visitors from east cost or another country. I had shrimp and waffle in chipotle sauce. I never tried anything like that before and I really liked it.
9/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Different from your ordinary Mexican food restaurant - a Spanish flair. Enjoyed the Navajo Tacos. Would visit again.
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Normally I wouldn't order meatloaf in a restaurant, but trusy me - try the Bison Meatloaf at Kachina. It's fabulous, including the side of Quinoa Corn Pudding (served in a tamale husk).
10/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
We've dined at Kachinas three
We've dined at Kachinas three times in the last month. The first time (outside) was a fantastic experience -- Great food & service in a beautiful restaurant. The second & third times were in the evening. Again the food was great, but the noise level was extremely loud -- enough so that I'll not likely return for evening dining. Last week at our third visit, our party of four were all retired folks and we were not "into" the younger bar crowd. Other than the noise, our dining experience with you was great.

Vibrant Food and a Fun Atmosphere
We eat out a lot, and it is tough to find a restaurant that feels fresh and new each time we visit. Kachina is that place. Each time we have been here, we have ordered something new and never been disappointed. The food is truly excellent, and it is a fun place for a group dinner. Favorites: grapefruit margarita, roasted pork loin with greens agrodulce, shrimp navajo tacos. The cola cake is wonderfully moist and flavorful.

What a great experience. We
What a great experience. We had salads--big enough to serve as entrees and two of the 5-dollar tacos--mine the lamb was outstanding and my friend loved hers too! Also, cocktails were great.. the prickly pear margarita!! Good vibe and happy guests were seen throughout.
We also had a great experiences with our waiter-Lenny. He was professional, very knowledgeable, kind, fun, and had a great personality. He really seemed to love his job and it showed.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I wed in early '13. Almost every week since having our rehearsal dinner at Kachina, we've returned for the amazing food and atmosphere! We LOVE Kachina and hope that it continues to top our list of favorite restaurants for years to come.
10/31/2013 5:00:00 PM
A great place to go -- amazing that it is in a hotel. It should get extra points for being such an exception for a hotel restaurant. A great variety of margaritas as well as other drinks. Tacos, enchiladas, special entrees are great tasting. We've gone several plans and plan to go back.

Best hotel restaurant I know of....
In the Westin? Really? Nicely done. The food is creative and the service is good. The ambiance is as good as one can expect for being in a hotel. The chorizo breakfast burrito is worth a special trip to this place.
11/17/2013 4:00:00 PM
We started with the ample servings of the incredible quail legs and bison empanadas. Kachina's Navajo pork and beef tacos are outstanding. Skip the rice and beans and just have the tacos so that you can save room for dessert. The coconut flan was perfectly prepared with the right level of bitterness to the syrup which complimented the smooth rich flan. Another winner was the chocolate beignets. Oh my gosh! Little crispy sopapillas filled with chocolate accompanied by a warm caramel sauce to dip them into. The sauce was so delicious you'll find yourself dipping your spoon in for a few bites of sauce alone.

First time - won't be the last
We had a great experience. Everything was amazingly fresh. The whole concept makes this place worth repeat trips. Katy was an amazing server and helped guide us to our choices.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
Very pleased with the experience. Location, food, service all made for a great Thanksgiving Day meal. The family style presentation worked great for our group. Only thought, that for the price ($40.00 per person) it would have included a beverage (coffee or ice tea). Or maybe even champaign/mamosa's...something for them to consider for next year.
11/27/2013 4:00:00 PM
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Kachinas, dining there for the first time. Everything was delicious, and there was plenty of it. We enjoyed the family style service, and the atmosphere. Very attentive service by all the waitstaff. Very enjoyable experience for everyone. We will definitely be back.
