Always consistent, always good. Church is a great find in the Fenway.

Went here for Easter Brunch-it
Went here for Easter Brunch-it didn't disappoint-enjoyed a great version of the classic Toad in a Hole paired with a Bacon-infused vodka bloody Mary. Also, we enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Crab cakes were dish!! Service
Crab cakes were dish!! Service was a bit slow and it wasn't busy. The food was worth waiting for.

Loved it just before baseball
Loved it just before baseball game at Fenway. Redsox lost to KC in the 10th inning. Winning run was a walk ;-(

Cocktails are excellent, food is very good. Had the catfish and hoppin John.
Fish was moist and flavorful. Wonderful to sit outside. Service was adequate but lackluster, especially considering the restaurant was not busy.

We enjoyed our dining experience
We enjoyed our dining experience at the Church. We were celebrating a family event. I was especially happy to be able to park so easily. The service was great, the food delicious. We plan to return.

A great night out!
The food was great! We ate a bunch! The pierogies were yummy, the hummus was fresh, the flatbread was crunchy and delicious.
Did I mention the Mac & Cheese, WOW! After all that + cocktails and beers. The free parking in the back is a bonus. We will bring back friends to share this gem.

Basic bacon and eggs, and
Basic bacon and eggs, and especially the homefries, were very good, the Bloody Mary was excellent, and the atmosphere inviting. We were going to a Red Sox game, and parking behind the restaurant was do-able. The service was fine, but I actually prefer to have the server who took the orders bring the food. We had 3-4 different strangers (none of whom knew who ordered what).

We had a wonderful mother's
We had a wonderful mother's day brunch. Even with our 8-month old kid, the staffs there were very friendly and helpful to make our experience great. The hash and french toast dishes were some of my brunch favorites in Boston.
5/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
We were a group eating quite
We were a group eating quite early so can't really judge the ambiance as it was not a typical dining time (5:30). My meal was very good, grilled flatbread and a salad. We seemed to have picked two types of white wine and both were out of stock before settling on a third.
5/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
Girls weekend in Boston and this was our first time at Church and definitely will not be the last!!! Their drink menu is very unique and goes with the Church theme. The brunch menu was great and what the 4 of us ordered was awesome. The best part about the entire brunch was the service!!! Our waitress, Sandy, was very attentive but not always at our table. Our drinks never went empty and she was very knowledgeable about both the food menu and the drink menu. Must check it out!!!!
5/24/2013 4:00:00 PM
The martini options are fabulous! The wine list also included great options!
5/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food is good pub food - the burgers were good, as were the fries, the mussels were good and the beer was very good. The steak tips - not great. It's a comfortable atmosphere and a good place to go with friends to wind down. The few tables outside are an added bonus on the warm nights. Although we had a service glitch the management was apologetic and made up for it by adjusting the check.
We will return!

Great brunch spot
I've been here twice for brunch and each visit was outstanding. Great wait staff that knows its menu and brunch options a foodie would be proud of.

Pre-Game at Church
Great Find. Pub like feel with interesting menu of comfort food and good beer selection. Mussels were good as starter, they came in a very tasty chili broth sauce that was worthy of dipping the garlic baguette in ...except we got multi grain bread instaed. The flatbread was small but delicious, flamkuchen ( I think) was bacon & Carmelized onions & creme fraiche. Sirloin tips were noty heavily marinated rather they came overloaded with chimichurri sauce...cooked as ordered and very good, they came with GREAT fries truffle oil & parmesan and grilled asparagus.

Great outdoor patio for summer
We loved Church and will go back. The outside patio is quiet and attractive. A nice change from the usual outside patio street, chaotic, noisy scene. I do not recommend the Grilled Chicken Paillard. It was dry and overcooked. When a chicken is butterflied and flattened it requires a careful and tender touch to not overcook. Mine was overcooked. My dining companion's Cod Cakes were wonderful.
The service was excellent and we left with some notes on wines he recommended we try in the future. We look forward to returning.
6/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had the blue fish which was superb, the corn bread with maple butter could have been a dessert it was so yummy. The lamb was ok but not the highlight of the meal. Very enjoyable night!

Great dinner before the game
We had a delicious dinner at Church before the Red Sox game. We ended up being almost an hour late due to traffic and they still held our table for us when I called them to let them know. We like the varied menu and particularly liked the sliders and mac and cheese. If I lived in the neighborhood I would go there very often. Everything seemed made to order and we really enjoyed ourselves!
7/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
I came here with a group of friends. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Blood orange mimosas. Enough said. I had their summer omlette, which was delicious. Someone else had steak tips and eggs, seemed like Church skimped on the eggs. I would definitely go back in the evening for drinks.
7/6/2013 4:00:00 PM
Always worth a visit
Interesting menu, something for everyone, fun and funkily sophisticated atmosphere -- and you can park in the neighborhood and then walk to Fenway! Hugely convenient. Ate there before Paul McCartney concert last week and it was the perfect choice.

The food, drinks and especially
The food, drinks and especially the waitstaff are amazing! Specials are good, but honestly, I really love anything off of the regular menu. The drinks are awesome and very unique. The hostess, on the other hand, can be less than charming. Don't let her spoil your night and just enjoy the rest of the wonderful experience Church has to offer!
7/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Trendy hip little place, we sat out side and I enjoyed every second of it. The waiter was so friendly, on top of everything we ordered. Great beer selection ( this being said from a true stout lover). We had a great and interesting soft shell egg with prosciutto, asparagus, parm foam with lemon drizzle appetizer. I had cod cakes that were light, fluffy, and chrunchy, with a great salad. My boy friend had their chicken breast with avocado cake, which was also amazing as well. I would def. recommend this place and I will def. go back! 5 stars.

Great food and service!
I recently had dinner here with a friend, and it was very good. The food was fresh and delicious. The service would have gotten 5 stars; however, when we first got there, it took a server a while to get to us. But once she did, she apologized for the wait and was amazing the rest of the night. Very attentive to us after that!
I had the salad from the vegetarian menu, and my friend had the cod cakes. Both were delicious! We also had a few drinks, which were good.
This is a great place to meet for drinks or have a meal. It's close to the MFA, Fenway Park, and the T. They also have live bands play there; we didn't see a band, but that's a nice feature of the place.
I'd go back! Thank you.

Nice dinner before a Sox Game!
My husband and I had a delicious dinner outside on a Monday night before a Red Sox game (unfortunately they lost). Church is a short walk to Fenway and was a pleasant surprise. The menu offered enough choices to please both of us. I have celiac disease and the waitress shared that the chef can make almost every menu item (except pasta) gluten-free. I had the catfish with hoppin' john. It was great. My husband had the lamb- also delicious. I would definitely go back!

We enjoyed Church
We ate at Church before a Red Sox game. It is very close to Fenway. We ate at 515 on a Monday night so it was not crowded.
The food was good- comfort food is a good description. Lots of different types of things. My son, had a steak, my wife had a burger, our friend had fish and I had a flatbread pizza and 2 sides of vegatables.
The hummus appetizer was great and the Hoppin John as a side dish was also terrific.
The portions were large. They had good beers on tap.
In summary, it was a perfect spot for a pregame meal. I will go back.

Ridiculously good drinks!
The drinks were fantastic. The menu is very hard to read, with odd explanations of the cocktails, so just ask your server to explain. The Tequila/Agave/Strawberry cocktail, the kiwi, and the grapefruit gin were phenomenal (tasted my friends').
Sliders were melt in your mouth good, as were the truffle parm fries.
A friend got the squash casserole- delicious. Otgers got the mac n cheese and flatbreads. Not a crumb left on our plates.
Highly recommend! Great pre- Fenway place if you want to class it up a bit. ;)

Great Sunday Brunch!
Went for brunch before Sox game and had great experience all around - great food (Maine Hash Skillet!!) , ambience and service.
9/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
It was a lovely night for dining outdoors, the service was knowledgable, friendly and fast, the food delicious. The best thing was the Panzella salad, probably the best, freshest salad we have ever had, the drinks were killer (great beer list as well) and the polenta frites hot, crispy and satisfying. Would recommend to anyone for outdoor dining or for a quick drink, nice ambience.

This was my second visit to Church, the food is always amazing and the service was fantastic! With my daughter in college nearby it is always one of our favorites!

Service was outstanding
Went to restaurant prior to Redsox game and had an early reservation. The food is fantastic, outdoor seating is wonderful, but the service was amazing. The waiter never left us waiting, the food was properly paced and the GM personally came and spent time chatting and ensuring that we were happy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Boston wanting a good recommendation.
9/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Shared appetizers in place of entrees with a group of three people. Great food! Very rich flavors, and cool vibe. Went to the small music hall next door immediately after and that was a lot of fun too. Overall great experience, will definitely be back!

A gem In the shadow of Fenway!
we were looking for a restaurant near a friend's apartment in Boston. Church was a great find and there is parking behind the restaurant (this may not be true when the Red Sox are home. great appetizers and entrees. wine list from affordable to ultra-high end. beers ice cold. staff was wonderful as we had to wait to assemble or party but they seated us immediately. Church also converts to a club later in the evening, in all, if you are near Fenway and not necessarily intereted in baseball, this is a must stop in.

Fabulous brunch menu
Absolutely loved the toad in a hole (brioche French bread with poached egg on top) and. The summer sangria was light and tasty
9/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
We really enjoyed our time at Church before the red sox game.
We were not interested in a loud crazy scene of which there there
Are many in the Fenway area, but a fun place to eat and "pre game".
We all enjoyed our food, drinks and atmosphere .
I really enjoyed the turkey sliders and flatbread. My only
Food comment is that the Mac and cheese was good but way
Too salty for my liking. I wound definitely go back.
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Cocktails are the reason to come but the food is surprisingly good as well. We tried the bluefish and the catfish, both were excellent.
Service is friendly and reliable. Great place to meet friends after work.
10/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
great brunch find!
Visiting Boston for parents weekend at Boston University, we had a large party for brunch & didn't want to have to wait for a table & then rushed out. Church was a great find & the perfect end to a perfect weekend! Service was great & we had the best bacon infused Bloody Mary's. I will definitely go back & try it for dinner next time I'm in town.

Very good food
Church specializes in Southern-style comfort food, but with a gourmet twist. I've been there a few times, and have not been disappointed. It's pretty noisy, which could cut down on the ease of conversation, but we managed, and liked the liveliness of the place.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Amazing food - service wasn't great
All of the food was amazing, but it took 20 minutes before our waitress even said hi or asked us for our drink order.
I noticed the table next to us did a drink tasting and when I received my bill I was charged for it. I brought it up to my waitress and she said it was part of my drink order but I'm not stupid we had four drinks total in my party and they were ten dollars each. She wasn't even convincing and it just sounded strange because I got charged for something I didn't order. Not very professional but the food was amazing. Usually the customer is always right but she just blew it off when I said we didn't order this..
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
The (male) cook who delivered the food called us "honey" twice!
11/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
Not knowing the neighborhood, I was trying to find something different, with healthy food choices (not a burger and fries), and near landsdowne street. I was meeting my niece (22yrs old) for lunch and a place where we could talk and not feel rushed, but with some atmosphere. Church provided everything! The main sign of a good restaurant is if you would go back there. I definately will and so will my neice. Positive feedback from 2 different generations.....enjoy

Dinner then Showtime
My friend and I dined here before a show a Church. I've never been here before, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant and show area are in almost separate buildings but attached. The food menu was small but the drink menu had plenty of different and unique drinks to chose from. I particularly like the '7 Deadly Sins' drink options. I would recommend coming in for some cocktails and small bites, but mainly the drinks.
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
I was browsing open table for ideas in Fenway and went this based on little more than the menu and a few reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality (creative comfort food would be a good description), drink choices, and price. Service was attentive without being cloying. We'll definitely be back.
12/6/2013 4:00:00 PM
Does not disappoint!
Brunch is by far my favorite meal out there. Church did not disappoint! I got the kale and goat cheese omelet, which was very yummy. My friends got the BLT and yogurt/fruit bowl with a side of bacon. The bacon came on a giant plate, nice 'n crispy. Fruit bowl looked so go I had a pang of jealousy (and that's a lot coming from an egg aficionado). Aside from the food, the setting was cozy, plenty of room between tables, perfect noise level, and nice service. I also had to change my reservation 2 hours beforehand and they were very accommodating. I'd certainly go back again.

Great Spot for A Group Dinner
Went here with a group of 7 for a celebratory holiday/end of semester dinner. The food and service were outstanding! I got the rack of lamb and it was perfect. We ordered some appetizers, an entree each, and split some desserts and it was VERY reasonably priced for the quality we got. We will definitely be back!
