Here, good food does take time!
The food was worth the wait--and it was a LONG wait for the food! The waiter was very sweet...I think, however, that he should have mentioned that the mimosas were bottomless. At first he asked if we'd like another--we said "no". When a different waiter came along and just filled our glasses, we figured it was because the food was taking forever. None of the wait staff seemed to notice or apologize for the wait--and neither did the manager, to whom we casually mentioned the length of time it took for the food to arrive. She did say they were "busy"--the place was not even half full! (The slow kitchen may explain the reason why they believe half-full is "busy"!!) I know: good food takes time, but a 45+ minute wait can't be good for business

Easter brunch was delicious!
Our first time at this fine restaurant was for Easter brunch, and it was wonderful! The bottomless Mimosas were especially fun. Chicken and waffles, quiche, shrimp and grits - all excellent. Desserts - banana pudding, coconut cake, chocolate mousse - outstanding! Prices are reasonable, live music was great, and so, we will return.

Food was excellent! Service just as good. We arrived an hour early for lunch on a busy Sunday two weeks ago. Without hesitation, the staff seated us. The food came in a timely manner. And the bottomless Mimosas ..... well, the kept coming! Awesome, experience. I will return!!!

We went to Creme for the Easter
We went to Creme for the Easter brunch. We were a group of 6 and we had a great time!
The food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere pleasant and friendly, and the live piano/bass jazz duo completed this amazing experience. We are very pleased and will certainly recommend Creme to everyone we know.

This was our first time at
This was our first time at Creme, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a group of 4, and ordered the Caesar salad, Shrimp and Grits, Maryland Jumbo Crab Cakes, Bourbon and Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Strawberry Shortcake, and Not Yo Mamma's Banana pudding. All of the food was outstanding, and we also enjoyed the warm cornbread that was brought to the table. It was a treat to meet the chef after the meal.

Great all around. Nice friendly
Great all around. Nice friendly crowd. I liked the Sunday afternoon thing. not far from the Walters Art Museum. Parking was no problem on the street and right next door as well. Food was unique, exotic, highly seasoned, and tasty.

The food was very good. Cooked
The food was very good. Cooked as ordered. However, the Sauteed spinach was chewy.

My husband and I visited Creme for the very first time, on May 5th to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo." We had a fantastic experience! We were seated promptly, as soon as we arrived, and within minutes, out waiter was at the table explaining the specials for the day. I ordered a French martini and sent instructions to the bartender how to make it (I'm particular about my French martinis!) She very graciously prepared it to perfection. Within minutes our food arrived. The chicken and waffles were delicious and my husband enjoyed the eggs benedict fajita. The extra treat was the wonderful live jazz that added to the ambiance and brought everything together "scrumptiously," Will definitely be back, and we're bringing friends and family when we do!!

Must go for brunch and get the chicken and waffles! The wait staff is very attentive and friendly, the chef even came out to our table.

The chicken and waffles were good; however, I would recommend a bit less garlic in the chicken batter. The mushroom Benedict was great and the salad that came with it had an excellent dressing. I had the side of grits and fell in love. Can't wait to try their shrimp and grits entree.

Excellent by all measures. Don't be scared away by the lack of customers. It's a find. Give Creme a try. Menu is limited but the results are outstanding.

One Night in Baltimore
My wife and I researched the blogs and the reviews concerning restaurants in Baltimore. We finally selected Creme in one of the oldest neighborhoods because it had consistently great reviews for both food and service when compared to other restaurants in the immediate area. The Chef keeps a menu focused on items they can do well. It is laced with local produce and superbly selected wines and yes there is also a vegetarian selection. The presentation and ambiance of the location had much appeal and the price was very reasonable. Creme has early and late dining which is a plus, and is located not far from the museums. Creme caters events throughout the region and its reputation is growing. Don't forget dessert and coffee!

Four of us went for brunch and were pleased with our experience. The service was friendly and attentive. Two of us enjoyed green eggs and ham. The ham was good and salty and the eggs tasty, but a little crispier than I like. (Though seldom does a restaurant prepare an omelet to that just slightly undercooked perfection that I so enjoy.) One had the steaks and eggs and was very pleased with it, saying it was prepared well and tasted great. The other had the chicken and waffles, which he said were good. He enjoyed that the chicken was dark meat. Our iced coffees were also strong and tasty.

Had an early dinner on a weekend. Mushroom appetizer was delicious and the crab cakes and jambalaya entrees were excellent. Definitely would recommend to close friends. The wait staff needs a bit of polishing. Waiter was very sincere and attentive but needs to work on his depth of knowledge of the wine list and menu. That said, it was a very positive dining experience and I would recommend without hesitation.

A very friendly neighborhood spot
Creme may not have the greatest cuisine you've ever eaten, but it's fine, and the ambiance and service we found were great. What we found not so great about the food was that it was too salty, and the wild mushrooms in the appetizer appeared to be just regular mushrooms. The crab cake doesn't make Baltimore's 10 best, a little on the mushy side, but it's taste left nothing to be desired. The glazed grilled salmon and the crab soup were very good, though. Add the very reasonable prices, great location, and wonderful service, and I know we'll be back to this convenient Mt. Vernon eatery. We plan on trying a busier time than when we visited: On a thursday night at 9:30 things had clearly died down..

This restaurant was very nice. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Will be visiting this restaurant frequently.

Went here during restaurant week. It was nice to find a place that offered brunch during restaurant week. We were not let down. The food was great, I recommend the baltimore Benedict and chicken/waffles. We had a server who was training. She was very friendly and efficient. The manager checked on our table several times during the meal, nice touch. Live music was playing for a perfect ambience. I need to go back for dinner!

Everything was great, a little
Everything was great, a little under staff for resturant week but the people that were there did a great job

Really liked the atmosphere...not too noisy, not too quiet. Service was ok and the food was fantastic! Shrimp & grits dish was amazing and waffles were light as a cloud. My food was seasoned to perfection. Great price for a 2 course brunch. Definitely would recommend the brunch and have already planned a return visit with a friend. Next...will visit for dinner and try something different. Great job Creme! Keep up the good work!!

Chose this location for the first time as a family celebration and the experience was great. Nice southern menu with great options. Environment was nice and cozy, server was great and decor was contemporary. Would revisit again with all adults or the girls next time.

Can't say enough good things
I found Creme on Open Table and decided to try it before going to the Meyerhoff for a show. The corn muffins, glazed salmon and shrimp/grits were all outstanding. Service was impeccable and we were out of there in plenty of time for the show. (Note that it is too far to walk to the theaters.) I wish that we had room for dessert which looked amazing as does the Sunday brunch menu.

Having just moved to Baltimore from the South, I couldn't be happier to have found Creme! I felt right at home eating some of the best Shrimp and Grits and Banana Pudding I have had in recent memory. To top it off, the service was excellent (the chef even personally spoke with us) and the restaurant itself had such a fun vibe. We will definitely be back.

I went here w/my wife last night and I was surprised at how great the food was. I had the lamb and even though it was served well done versus medium, it was amazingly flavorful and tender. My wife had the salmon and the only complaint that she had was the the serving of salmon was SO small... maybe it was b/c it was so delicious that you realize how little food you were actually given. I would recommend at least one visit!!!

We enjoyed the dinner so much we went back on 10Nov13 for brunch!!! Best decision ever!!! We had a table of 5 and everyone ordered something different and boy was EVERYTHING tasty! And the staff is so fun and kept the mimosas flowing! I will be returning again!!!!!
