Brought my sister and brother-in-la
Brought my sister and brother-in-law here for the first time this weekend. They both work at the Culinary Institute for America, and absolutely loved everything we had. The menu changes pretty often, but some of the items we ordered are fixtures: truffle mac and cheese, poutin, lamb schnitzel, delmonico steak, bbq duck leg.

The noise level at theMint
The noise level at theMint is very high, simply because nothing has been done to absorb sound bouncing off the surfaces of what once was the customer are of a bank branch office. Otherwise, the decor is simple but nice. Almost overwhelming beer list. Varied and very interesting menu. What we sampled on a recent visit was expertly prepared and creatively presented.

theMINT is a great neighborhood
theMINT is a great neighborhood restaurant with a twist! They offer a wide variety of foods, both traditional and interesting that are sure to please everyone. They've redone their menu in the last year, bringing more traditional items to the menu, but still leaving plenty for the adventurous diner. The BBQ Octopus appetizer and the smoked duck entree were both delicious and highly recommended. Great drinks as well. It's a little loud because of all the hard surfaces, but still a really cool atmosphere.

We really enjoy the unique
We really enjoy the unique variety of food - dishes like sweetbreads that are not available elsewhere in the Lehigh Valley to the best of my knowledge. We went on a night that was actually quieter than usual. Our experience has been that the bar crowd is loud on Friday nights, in particular, which makes intimate conversation virtually impossible. But we enjoy the food so we try to go on off nights.

Great gem with amazing food
Great gem with amazing food and an awesome beer supply.

Great Food! Service very good. Overall experience was great with one exception. It is noisy. Don't expect a romantic dinner but expect unique food in a interesting atmosphere. The Mussels and Frite with Lobster Bisque sauce was outstanding as were the smoked ribs.

The Mint has a twisted menu. That's a good thing and the whole point. Classic comfort food with a twist if you like trying new things, and I do. The service was a little slow but to be expected given the crowd, it was a Saturday evening, and the way the food is prepared. Good things are worth waiting for! You may want to make reservations on the weekends. There were six of us in our party and from start to finish we were there about 2 hours with desert. It is also a bit noisy. My guess is because of the buildings design with concrete floors and nothing to really buffer the sound. But overall, wonderful food and atmosphere and I will definitely be back for seconds, especially for some more of the BBQ octopus. YUM!

hip but laidback, impressive food!!
came here for a low key double date night- perfect spot.
decor so hip and trendy while the vibe is laidback and chill.
service was great.
for the beer lover- you'll have your pick for sure.
food was incredible- think out of the box, with an open mind and you wont be sorry
standouts you cant go wrong with: rock shrimp with polenta
fried chicken with donuts
chicken with pretzel stuffing
would definitely do this spot again, maybe for lunch :)

Better Every Time
Each time we dine at The Mint we enjoy it more and more. The seasonal menu always has something new and is always prepared perfectly. The knowledge, efficiency, and friendliness of the staff makes you feel comfortable as soon as you enter. The Mint is awesome !

Delicious as always. Interim Spring/summer menu had several new dishes we've not tried, and everyone in our group was pleased with their meals. Love the staff here, and enjoyed our evening.

Great food, a bit noisy
Originally from the Lehigh Valley and came back to the area for a concert, I found TheMint using OpenTable and really enjoyed my experience. Food was very tasty - had the Lobster Mac & Cheese which was amazing along with other appetizers and small dishes. They had a really good beer list which I would expect being a gastropub. The service was good thought the server could have been just a tiny bit more attentive, but wouldn't affect my decision in coming back. Be prepared for the noise level - found myself almost yelling at times, but it's expected for the acoustics of an old bank. In general, I'm happy to see the LV opening these great restaurants (as opposed to the chains).

This neighborhood gastropub has most creative menu that changes every couple months and is always good. Chef Dominic is creative and the staff very accommodating. Must go just for the interesting food combos.

Great Food, Great Beer, Great Times
Been to The Mint several times, try to make it at least once a month. The menu changes frequently enough that there is always something new there to eat; and with the rotating draught list, always a new beer to try too. The chef is amazing and I'd probably eat anything he put in front of me at this point. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful with recommendations of beers and food. No doubt that The Mint is my favorite restaurant in the valley.

Neat dining experience... Good food.... It's not the Apollo (Bethlehem) or river Grille (Easton), but it is still a nice place to dine.

Myself and 2 colleagues had dinner at 6:30 on a Thursday. The Mint was not to capacity on the night I had dinner. The menu is a little confusing but very interesting. I had the Smoked Salmon sandwhich and the group shared the bbq octopus. Both were very tasty. The beer and wine selection was VG and the waitress was very attentive. I am not sure if the place was to capacity if the service would have been as great. Looking forward to a return trip.

Finally! Great food in Bethlehem!
Excellent - at last a great place in eastern PA. Menu changes frequently (I'm told) and it was delicious! Some folks around here said they are 'trying too hard' - more proof many in this area don't know what good food is! They can stick to Applebee's and Texas Roadhouse (ick) - if you are a foodie as we are, this will impress. We had calamari, sweetbreads, bacon (thick back bacon - yum!) steaks, the clams, it ws all prepared well, with sauces and preparations that you will not see elsewhere - especially not in this area.

Great food, beverages, and ambience. My wife and I always have fun and look to come here for any occasion. As always, the waiter was great and his recommendations were spot on. Food was awesome!

Unique food options
The food was great! We especially loved the buffalo chicken & bacon donuts. It's a must try! Great coctail selection as well.

Food was excellent!
I enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Also had a really good beer menu.

Will be back ...
The Mint GastroPub is great. Wide variety of excellent beer choices with a good wine list, too. Food was different -- not the run of the mill fare you see so often. The Doe-which was excellent -- a bit smoky, good BBQ sauce. Our server was very attentive -- btu appropriately so. Not so much as to bother us, but there often enough to ensure everything was gonig well. Really enjoyed our visit.

Fabulous neighborhood spot. We love the fact that the menu changes seasonally and is always so exciting. I think I will miss my favorite dish with the new menu and then I find a new favorite that might be even better!

Love this place! Food is always fun and delicious; staff is exceptional; and the atmosphere is fun!

A Bethlehem Gem
The Mint is a great little gem in Bethlehem. Its food adds gourmet elements to classic comfort foods, from truffled lobster mac and cheese to chicken with blue cheese-iced bacon doughnuts. It is a great option if you are into unique beers and old school cocktails as well!

This was my second time at The Mint and it does not disappoint! Excellent food and drinks.

Great beer list, eclectic food menu
This is a place to visit for the broad and interesting beverage, particularly beer, selection. However, the food menu is interesting too. My preference would have been for more assertive seasoning on a couple items but no complaints. Ambience was okay but felt something was missing. Went on a relatively quiet night but get the impression it could get loud.

Love the Mint!
Our 2nd visit-the server remembered us from our last visit several months ago. He was engaging, very knowledgable and happy to accommodate the special requests of my adult son who has special needs. Great food, service and a wonderful place for a special occasion. Our entire party was very happy and will return for sure. Chicken was the best I have ever eaten in my life! Crack pie to die for! Thank you for a great dining and social experience! Will definitely recommend to family and friends!

Friday night was my first (and not my last) trip to The Mint for dinner with the wife (You will need reservations). The staff was great, the food was awesome (surprisingly not overpriced) and the beer choices were "off the chain"....WOW!! I expected it to be a trendy kind of "yuppie" bar, but that wasn't the case at all. The ONLY downside to the whole evening COULD be the noise. Not a place to dine if you have A.D.D. The noise level is evident that the restaurant used to be a bank (lots of tile and marble, ect...). We'll definitely be back several times!! Oh yeah.... BBQ octopus....AMAZING!!!

Gluten free accommodating
Not a huge menu, but nice variety.
Thrilled to see a few gluten free items.
Staff was very accommodating by making substitutions.
Food was delicious.
My husband really appreciated the large beer menu and is looking forward to trying more.

My Bethlehem "casual" spot
I recommend three restaurants in Bethlehem exclusively. The Mint is always my recommendation for a more casual dinner. Unique twists on many popular pub staples, all done with precision. Great beers and cocktails available. The staff is always friendly and fast and not overbearing at all. All of this in an renovated bank, a very cool concept. You must be open minded and enjoy food, otherwise you might not get it.

This was the second time we
This was the second time we dined here within 1 week. Our server was very attentive and accomodating. We had a party of 8, including 4 kids ages 5-10. There is no kids menu, but the entrees were great for the kids to split. Great beer selection, and nice ambience. Would definitely go back again!

An excellent local pub!
This restaurant was once a bank, so check out the vault in the back. Our food and drinks were excellent and the prices were reasonable. The pub has a sophisticated contemporary theme. We'll be back!
