I thought Mizumi was a solid
I thought Mizumi was a solid meal at an insane cost. But it's Vegas, so that's par for the course. I have had some of the best sushi in the world, and this place doesn't play on that level. But it still manages to charge upwards of $40 for some of its special rolls, which is laughable. I got the regular sushi, which I found fresh and tasty. Definitely a good meal, but at $127 for just myself (yellowtail scallion roll, shrimp tempura roll, 2 pieces of octopus sushi, 2 of squid sushi, 2 of king crab sushi, miso soup, a mojito, and a beer), that's pretty steep. If money is no object though, there probably aren't too many better sushi spots on the strip.

Amazing sushi and sashimi
Amazing sushi and sashimi plates. We had a tasting of several and loved them all. Even the moshi ice cream was just delicious.
Also the cocktails and imported beers are well selected.

Authentic and tasty
Mizumi offers a sushi bar, a robata bar, a teppanyaki area and table service with a wonderful waterfall view. The food is excellent and no effort is spared to make the food experience as authentic as it can be. Sashimi quality is unparalleled, the robatayaki uses imported japanese charcoal and the finest meats, vegetables and seafoods, and the other offerings are innovative and beautifully presented. Treat yourself to Omi beef, you'll be glad you did and you'll never waste money on expensive, locally sourced Wagyu beef again. This restaurant was great as the Okada but is even better in its new incarnation as Mizumi. We eat here 3 or 4 times a year and always leave knowing we've had a great meal.

Beautiful restaurant, great food.
If you enjoy Japanese quisine, you must try this restaurant. Situated in the Wynn, you find yourself transported to other world with a lush foliage covered hill and a 100ft waterfall. We tried a little something from each section of the menu. The tuna sashimi with cilantro oil and chles was amazing. The sushi was delicious and notably, remarkably restrained, with minimal rice and actual bite sized pieces. The selection of charcoal grilled skewers was amazing due to the diversity of favors and sauces included.our waiter was informative without being annoying, present when necessary, without being fawning, and provided excellent suggestions, when asked. If you've never tried chilled saki, do yourself a favor and try some here. Delicious.

This was my first time dining at Misumi. What a wonderful experience! Not only was the food exceptional, but the waterfall and green trees transformed the open air restaurant. We were seated inside but on the edge of the water with windows fully opened. It was my Husband's birthday. There were 4 pages of menus! What a selection! My Husband had sushi and I enjoyed California rolls. The best part was the lobster miso soup. We enjoyed the robato grill selections which were grilled skewers of meats. There was a separate room for the hibachi grill where food is cooked on a grill in front of you. Our area was much more enjoyable overlooking the falls! What a memorable meal and evening! The waiter surprised us with a birthday dessert.

Top scorer on all fronts
On this visit, we tried the hot stone Ohmi beef that we cooked ourselves at the table. One word: superb. No need for the sauces that were provided, the beef was flavorful enough. The oh toro tuna belly sashimi was fabulous, well worth the cost. The ambience is great with the waterfall and the interior design. Service is excellent and unobtrusive. All in all, a great night out.

My husband and I just loved this restaurant - top notch Japanese, gorgeous dining room with view of gorgeous zen garden and waterfall, and terrific service. We tried a variety of dishes, with our favorite being the robatayaki. We tried several robatayaki items - wagyu short rib, onions, sweet potato, cod - all awesome! We also had yellowtail sashimi, a beautiful cucumber and seaweed salad, and lobster beignets. The desserts topped a fantastic meal off - the chocolate candy bar confection and mango sorbet. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend asking to be seated in front of the window that looks out on the waterfall and garden - just makes the whole meal even better! Best to be second row from window so you get the full view.

Some of my favorite sushi ever. Pretty pricy but worth it.

Not to Miss Dining!
Mizumi was a high point in our many years of restaurant dining. for the past 25+ years my husband and I make it a point to seek out fine dining in our travels. This restaurant definitely stands out. The most memorable feature is the setting. A fabulously decorated dining room looks out over an amazing outdoor setting, complete with stunning waterfalls and lush Asian-inspired landscaping--beautiful by day and night due to strategically placed lighting. Floor to ceiling windows are completely open affording diners with a great indoor/outdoor experience but with perfect temperature control (how do they do it with outdoor temperatures well above 100 F in July?). Service was attentive but not at all intrusive and the food was delectable.

Mizumi is a romantic hideaway
Mizumi is a romantic hideaway tucked away in of the corners of the Wynn. We mainly ordered the tapenyaki dishes, the sea bass and waygu skewers were are favorites by far and the lychee sorbet was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my entire life. I can't wait to return upon my next visit to Las Vegas.

Came here for diner with my girlfirend. We took the Chef's reccomendation in 6 courses.
We received the best place in the restaurant looking at the waterfalls and outside garden.
Really romantic and outstanding food. Top chef !
Although a bit expensive, an excellent place to go to for a special occasion or a fine diner.

Back for the real Japanese foods
Mizumi was Okada originally. Okada have kept traditional Japanese dishes on the trained chef's skills for years. Now since Mr. Okada was pushed away by notorious couple of Wynne, name is changed to Mizumi. Yet all friendly and skilled staffs are kept which is good for patron like me.
Real Japanese foods = well selected material and soup stock. Mizumi has both and does excellent. If you think this restaurant is expensive, you are totally wrong. For what you get per money, this restaurant is so reasonable. I expect to pay double in LA for same quality of material.

This restaurant is terrific.
This restaurant is terrific. When we booked with Open Table it did not tell us shorts were not allowed, this is the second restaurant this has happened to us. It would be very helpful if open table could advise of the dress codes in restaurants.

Stayed at the Wynn and decided to try this restaurants for the first time, and just like all the restaurants at The Wynn, it was amazing. Husband and I enjoyed our waiter and loved everything we tried.

Important to know...Shorts are only allowed at the Sushi Bar. Which we planned on for our dining. They have a great variety of fresh sashimi. You also have to try the "Butter Fish" miso / sake marinated cod. Oushi!

Beautiful view of the waterfall!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner on my birthday. The three items which the server recommended were outstanding - truly taste sensations. The sirloin (we chose on our own) was fair, not spectacular. Prices of sushi were so high that we couldn't bring ourselves to try any of the rolls ($50 a roll!? Seriously?!) But I'm sure they would have been great, too. Ambiance made the evening at a table near the water.

This restaurant is incredible. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for very authentic, well done, and high quality Japanese food (although it is quite pricey). Bring your appetite and your checkbook.
8/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Although we only had sushi this time, the quality of the fish was outstanding. The tables and view along the fountain provided a lovely setting and the sake was one of my favorites (dewakazura). Great service from and attentive staff.

What an amazing place. Astonishingly pretty, a gorgeous outdoor dining space, impeccable service and delicious food. We will certainly be returning soon!

Beautiful views and tables
Beautiful views and tables by the outdoor waterfall. We loved the sushi and other food so much that we went twice while we were in Vegas. We had different wait staff and the service was fantastic both nights!! Both people offered great advice and explanation of the menu. Can't wait to return.

My favorite restaurant in LV
The food and ambiance is great. Try to get a table on the water. Both the sushi and traditional Japanese dishes from the kitchen are very good.

senic view, great food & service
I took my customers out for dinner, and we loved the place....we may have been a little loud for the rest of the restaurant, but the staff was wonderful and treated us very well. I would definitely return when I'm back in Las Vegas.

Date with mom
I took my mother to this restaurant for a night out in Vegas. The dinner was great. We had dinner reservation at 7:30 we were seated, eat and out by 8:15. Dinner was good, quiet so we could talk and enjoy our selfs. I would recommend this restaurant for your wife (romantic) or for mom (memorable)
