genius in the kitchen
Creative cuisine featuring local ingredients. The chef's an artist regarding presentation, the portions are impressively generous and the view of the shore is gorgeous.

This was our first experience at Vintage Twelve. The service, ambiance, decor and food were absolutely superb. The rack of lamb was delicious and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. We would definitely return to try some of the other items on the menu. Great dining.

Just the Two of Us
Another great meal. You have to try their Crispy Oyster Salad!,,,, it has the WOW factor. The dining room is so welcoming and of course the ocean view scenery adds to the ambiance. We took advantage again of the two for one coupon and there is no way you can get such great food anywhere else at this price.

Great service and food
Vintage Twelve is a newer restaurant in the Embassy Suites hotel at Kingston Plantation. While we are owners at Kingston and are on property about twice a year, we had not visited it because we had an impression that it would be too expensive. We were provided with ta "two-for-one" offer and decided to give it a try. We found that our impressions were wrong. The food is well-prepared, with a low country flair, and reasonably priced. The wines are above average (as are the prices). The view of the Atlantic is unbeatable and the service was top notch. We will be returning on a future visit!

It was a lovely experience.
It was a lovely experience. The ambience and the view were the best I've ever seen in Myrtle Beach. The presentation of the various courses were impressive. I would definitely recommend it and go again.

What a Surprise!
Found this surprise last summer using Opentable. Hard to find as it is practically hidden at the back of the Embassy Suites. Don't let the location fool you. As soon as you turn the corner, you feel like you've been transported to a big city intimate restaurant. Farm to fork concept with locally sourced ingredients. Specialty drinks are over the top, think Elderflower Gimlet, Bourbon with smoky maple syrup , unbelievable. Charleston Flatbread with pimento cheese. Crab cakes with pickled shrimp. Delicate brioche raisin bread with butter made in house. Molasses like pecan pie with chocolate sweet tea ice cream. Southern favorites raised to new levels of gourmet. The view of the ocean is spectacular. Pricey but don't miss!

We searched this out on Open Table, OMG was one of the best meals we had eating out in a long time. We had the grouper and it was certainly picked fresh that morning as promised. The bread was awesome, Waiter was awesome, hidden gem for sure and already booked to go back next week. Deserts all home made (peach cobbler) - hats off to the chef, she will end up owning her own famous restaurant soon! Fresh homemade food is SOOOOO hard to find! We found it !

Upscale in Myrtle Beach...finally!
Low Country goes gourmet and gets high praise from me. Gorgeous decor, friendly service and delicious food made for a fantastic meal. I will go back every time I'm in Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend the hush puppie appetizer. I also order the catch of the day...red snapper cooked to perfection.

Amazing food and amazing view!
We visited as soon as they opened, so we were actually the first people to sit. There was only one other table by the time we left, so I can't speak much to the vibrancy of the place when it gets busy. But our experience was perfect. Don't let the location (inside a convention center) fool you; this place is great. First thing you notice is the amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Floor to ceiling windows show the vast expansive view. The service was exceptional. We had the fresh catch and the shrimp and grits for dinner, which was delicious. But the hush puppies with pimento fon du was AMAZING! Great place for a special occasion or romantic dinner.

We decided on this restaurant
We decided on this restaurant because of the billboard ad saying it was fine dining on the ocean front. Unfortunately, not many restaurants are built to utilize the ocean view. This definitely had a great ocean view.
We were a little disappointed in the fish we ordered -- Amber Jack. It seemed a bit salty. We were also hoping for more vegetables to be served with the entrees. Everyone is encouraged to eat vegetables these days, but we find that they are still scarce at many restaurants. Over all it was a pleasant evening, and we would definitely try to get there another time.
5/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
Go while you can still get a table because when people find about this place it will be a BIG hit.

Gourmet Dining at the Beach?
There is actually something other than heavy, sauce laden Italian, greasy fried seafood buffets and dull slabs of meat to choose from at the beach now. We found this hidden treasure through Opentable. The drink menu is inventive and the Elderflower Collins is one of the best drinks I have ever had. The Charleston Flatbread appetizer has a subtle smoky flavor in the Pimento Cheese. I've had the fresh catch of the day on several occasions and it has always been delicate and healthy. The fish is usually fresh off the docks from Murrell's Inlet. Many ingredients are locally sourced and the freshness shows. Stunning oceanfront views. Hard to find in hotel. Needs better signage. Definitely worth the price point.
6/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
Not worth the price
I expected the ocean view restaurant to be top floor or very romantic, it was connected to same area where the free breakfast is with a bottom floor ocean view. Food was outstanding though

Excellence at a Hotel Restaurant
The chef is an up and coming young female who provided excellent, tasty dishes with very nice presentation. Our server was also very attentive and prompt. Views are just over the tops of the dunes to the ocean. The ambiance was classy and quiet. Most hotel restaurants are average, but not Vintage Twelve. We will definitely be back.

I was so pleased that I came across this restaurant on open table. This was my first time to Myrtle Beach and I was totally caught by surprise of the slow- paced, grungy feel. I was hesitant a bit with Vintage 12 because the reviews weren't what I was hoping for but may I say that the restaurant proved the reviews wrong. We had a late reservation- the candle lit, scenic few made for a romantic night with great food, and wine. It was not crowded and the ambiance was nothing like anything else in Myrtle Beach. I would absolutely recommend Vintage 12!
7/1/2013 4:00:00 PM
We were a bit put off by having to go through a 3 star hotel to get to a 4 star restaurant. However, the food, service and ambiance were superb. And the view of the ocean was lovely.
7/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Hiding a midst the 1000s of touristy spots in Myrtle Beach is the Vintage 12. The food is all locally sourced. They use grass-fed beef and free-range chickens. The seafood is caught that day right out of the nearby waters. Everything was wonderful. The food was excellent. My wife had the catch of day, and I had shrimp and grits (amazing) You have to try the bourbon smoked maple old fashioned too!
7/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
Vintage Twelve is nestled within Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation and us a TRUE GEM in Myrtle Beach, SC. The food is divine and superior to other restaurants in the surrounding area & the staff is wonderful!!! The Fresh & Local ingredients enhance the food flavors & the Chef is truly talented. We will return to this restaurant for sure!!!
7/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
I love the fact that everything is sourced locally. The food is exquisitely prepared without the addition of heavy sauces. The fresh fish changes based on what was just caught. Excellent use of local produce as well. We sat overlooking the ocean, and the scene was perfect.
7/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great view, great food!
Ocean view seating with great food! Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Perfect date night setting
My husband and I recently tried Vintage 12 after a friend recommended it. We didn't know what to expect, but had heard wonderful things about Chef Caitlin Brady. She creates low country style food with local, fresh ingredients. Everything we tried on the menu from the corn hush puppies with pimento cheese fondu to the local catch and the cast iron pork was delicious. Each bite was a special moment in your mouth. The prices are higher than a weeknight restaurant, especially for the portions, but everything is fresh, wonderful and made with care. This is a perfect special occasion place.

Very good restaurant with nice ocean views. Kid friendly.
8/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Did not expect this!
We booked based on the 1,000 point promotion. Were we ever happy we did! When I learned it was a hotel restaurant, I was a bit concerned, but Vintage Twelve would be an outstanding restaurant self standing. Great ocean views, very chic design. Great menu featuring local catch and produce. I had the "grunt" fish (catch of the day). It was garnished with fresh beets. Totally outstanding. My wife had Shrimp & grits with a spring salad. Excellently prepared. Executive chef has a unique talent for effective seasonings and garnish. Very good portions. Wine parings were also excellent. Got to try two different Washington State Cabs that were terrific. Service was very knowledgable, passionate about their product and attentive. Don't pass up!
8/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was very good, but there was only one waiter. I suspect they had a lot of "walk in" customers which they did not expect. The staff did their best to accommodate everyone, but the waits were long and some errors occurred. Given the quality of the food I would return and hope they learned from their error.
8/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
new and vibrant
We understand the place is somewhat new (or was it the cheif)... either way, the food was fantastic, albeit a bit limited in the menu. We took the kids and they particulary enjoyed their meals (older kids, although someone else did have the screaming infant - NOT a place for that). We found the service to be excellent, presentation fantastic, food was great, and the view phenominal. This is one worth trying!
8/17/2013 5:00:00 PM
The food was great as was the service.
Our server, Diane, was very knowledgeable
about the food and the wine list was reasonable
with some excellent choices!
We enjoyed the evening!
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Beautiful view if you arrive before sunset. Food and Service was outstanding.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
It seems this little known place is tucked in an unexpected location but it is lovely and comfortable. The food was beautiful and service was very good. The specialty drink list was nice we had a large group and had several. Try the Hemingway daiquiri and the peach smash. They made a great Martini as well. The food met our expectations the shrimp and grits were very good, love the low country items and local catch! Really good! Try it,!
8/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Hard to find. Nice change
Hard to find. Nice change from fried food. Lovely view of the ocean and moonlight . Excellent service.

Eexcellent Myrtle Beach find
This restaurant is "hidden" in the large Embassy Suites Hotel in the Kingston Plantation resort off US-17. It is worth the drive. Our choices were snapper, barely 4 hours off the boat, and shrimp & grits (spicy, but very good). We were the only diners at 8:30 PM, I think because one of the attractions is the outdoor water view and we were there after sundown. Whatever, the food was very good and the service was also very good. We'll definitely return.

Right under our noses!
We frequent this area because it's easy with our children, but it's always a challenge to find GOOD places to eat that are not a buffet! This trip we found a gem right under our noses! Vintage Twelve, even though it is located on the first floor of the Embassy Suites hotel was AMAZING! The decor, the menu, the service and the view (oceanfront!) offered all the elements we could even think of while visiting the beach! On this particular visit we took our children and the staff was very accommodating. We highly recommend this resturant to you as an OpenTable member and have already spread the word to all our friends!

A Quiet experience.......
Friday night in North Myrtle Beach in early October may not be the busiest time of year. Kingston Plantation Resort was busy but Vintage Twelve was quiet and a great spot for our last night in SC. The service was prompt, the wine was great and the food was cooked to perfection. My wife had the shrimp & grits and I had the "catch of the day"....red snapper! Both were terrific.
Not an inexpensive meal, but a great meal with my wife at the end of a vacation..........priceless!
10/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great !!! from the moment
Great !!! from the moment we arrived until we left everything was perfect. We travel and eat in restaurants a lot .Vintage Twelve is as good as it gets.
Great service Great food. This was a special occasion and it was wonderful.
10/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
I had read some reviews that were discouraging but I wanted to try anyway because of the view. The food portions of the main course was extremely small for the prices. I thought Shrimp and Grits would be a safe bet due to the locale, but the grits were way too runny and it had only about 4 or 5 shrimp. The service and ambiance were great, but for $70 for 3 courses and a cocktail it was extremely disappointing. I thought this would be a lovely place for a sunset dining experience, but I didn't even get the sunset.
10/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
My husband and I celebrated our 30 wedding anniversary there on Saturday, November 2, 2013. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was awesome. Overall it was very romantic.
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
We decided to celebrate a family birthday at Vintage Twelve and had a great dinner & service. Shannon our server was great with the details on how the food was prepared. One of our party was delayed and missed the warm brioche bread, our server brought out another tray of the warm bread out. The appetizers were a good size and the rack of lamb was the best I've ever had. Another person had the crab cakes appetizer as their meal with a side of macaroni & cheese which was filling. Will definitely go back for another great dinner.
11/10/2013 4:00:00 PM
This was our second time at Vintage Twelve, and it has been a fantastic experience both time. The ambiance of the sunset coupled with the exquisite dining experience made for a wonderful birthday celebration dinner. The chef is amazing and we look forward to our next experience.
