Modern Flair, Local Ingredients
Urbane has a nice modern feel to the interior...clean metal accents and glass with enough wood to provide warmth. The location is well suited for a meal in conjunction with downtown shopping or a show at the Paramount Theater. The food was very good to excellent. Most items have an "eat local" kind of flair. Appetizers, soups, salads, main dishes and deserts were all well balanced and interesting to the palate. My 13 year old daughter had no trouble finding options that suited her. For a downtown dining establishment, my wife and I felt Urbane offered good value for the money.

Great place for brunch or lunch!
I had lunch at Urbane with 3 friends before a show at ACT. The location is great in the lobby of the Hyatt. They had a nice menu and full bar. Our only complaint was that our server rarely visited our table and seemed put out when we asked for separate checks, even though she was standing around talking to the host staff.
We had tomato soup, chorizo soup, crab mac-n-cheese, spinach salad, cobb salad, and grilled cheese. We also had wine and a bloody mary. The crab mac-n-cheese was oh-so-yummy! Loved the tomato soup and both salads. Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice.

Urbane specializes in delicious,
Urbane specializes in delicious, creative, fresh local food. The room is very loud and entered through an awkward, narrow bar area, but the food is delicious, healthy. and unique. My wife and I shared the best crab cake we have ever eaten. The seafood and red meat entrees we have had have all been outstanding.

This is a hotel restaurant, but it is in a high class Hyatt so the quality of people and food is great. The environment reminds me of a 5 star restaurant, the staff as well. I would recommend anyone to put Urbane on their "must try" list.

Modern food, classic service
Our food and drinks were all very good. The thing that stood out to me the most, though, was the incredibly friendly service from the second I walked in the door. I was a little bit late for my reservation, and they accommodated me anyway with a smile. Our table had several specialty diet requests and all were accommodated happily and with no trouble. We really appreciated the top-notch service and would recommend Urbane.

2nd time dining here
This was our second time dining at Urbane and we were not disappointed. Food is great and our waitress was wonderful about my food allergies. And their homemade ice cream is to die for! I'm not a dessert fan, but at Urbane, the ice cream is so worth it!

Not Your Typical Hotel Restaurant
Innovative menu, sleek décor and knowledgeable staff...what more could you ask for?
The complimentary still or sparkling water was a nice touch. Our server was charming and knew her stuff.
My wife and I shared several small plates: the beet salad was refreshing, and the pistachio nuts a nice change from the usual walnuts.
The mac 'n cheese with bacon and crab (both optional) was good, although a bit too rich. Next time we'll pick one or the other to add to the delicious pasta dish.
We finished with the short rib sliders. Yummy, but I would have liked more slaw.
Overall, though, a solid 4.5 stars.

Great location if you want a place to have dinner at before going to a show at the Paramount Theater. The food is tasty, and the service was good.

Great food! Brought one child wrong item and had to wait. Very apologetic and paid for the plate. Not up-tight about kids.

Had dined here before and loved it; glad the encore was just as satisfactory. Asked for a quiet table to catch up with a friend visiting from Switzerland and was gracefully accommodated. We were not rushed and very surprised when we realized we had spent 2 1/2 hrs. lingering over delicious food and wine. Will definitely return and/or recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

Food was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Would definitely go back!!

Urbane has really tasty bacon. I usually get the grilled cheese sandwich and ask them to put extra bacon on it. It's delicious. I'm a little bummed they aren't offering the Beecher's mac and cheese anymore; you could get bacon on that as well and I can only imagine its deliciousness.
It seemed to take a little longer than necessary for our food to come out, but since we were a group of six, maybe that's not surprising. I liked that I was able to substitute a caprese salad for the chips that normally come with the sandwich.
It got a little loud, but for a tasty lunch it was totally worth it.

Definitely a place to return to!
We wanted a dining location within walking distance to the Paramount with a nice wine list and excellent food. We found both here. They even had a special menu in honor of the show we saw at the paramount that was wonderful! Loved the steelhead, kale salad and the pana cotta. Johnny our server was delightful. We did find ourselves looking for an extra coat or sweater as it was much too chilly ... Turn the heat on!

Happy Hour Dinner
We went to an early dinner before a show and enjoyed some happy hour priced drinks. The food was good, and the service was great. The noise level was fairly loud, but it was happy hour and there was lots of people grabbing dinner after work. Not sure how it would be later, but if you want a romantic dinner, I wouldn't go at happy hour time. We could still hear each other though.

Gem Near the Paramount
What a great find for a meal before a Saturday matinee at the Paramount, which is just a block away! The menu is varied and has many gluten-free options, including bread. Prices are below average for this part of Seattle. Service was perfect. I enjoyed the prettiest yogurt parfait, including 3 types of berries and delicious granola. My friend had eggs Florentine. We will definitely return and I'm anxious to try their dinner menu. The room is sleek and contemporary and I imagine it would be lovely in the evening.

I had brunch with five others at Urbane. Everyone appeared to enjoy their food. I had a pancake, steel cut oats, and a yogurt and fruit parfait. My pancake was a bit chewy. The oats were good, and I was given the option of having soy milk, which I appreciated. The parfait seemed to have plain yogurt, because it came off a bit sour. Portion size was good - I could not eat all of it. Maybe my eyes were bigger than my stomach. My wife had the eggs benedict. She is a bit of an eggs benedict snob, and she said she enjoyed Urbane's version. Prices were reasonable for downtown Seattle - the bill for the wife and I came to about $40.

Love this place because the food is so fresh and it all comes from local farms. The menu is different each time I go there and they have a nice selection of wine.

Perfect for Before Paramount Dining
This is a very good location for a nice moderately priced restaurant a short walk to the Paramount. Food is very good but a very small menu. We let our server know when we got there at 6 that we were going to the 7:30 show & barely made it. We spent a good deal of time starting at 7:10 trying to track her down and had to ask several people to find her and when she did come back, she seemed shocked we needed our check to go to the show (she'd been gone a long time) and the end of the meal and paying just seemed like a big rush that it didn't need to be--we had been done with our meal for quite a while. Otherwise, we all enjoyed sharing many appetizer items as most of our meal (great squash soup special, wonderful sliders, crab cakes etc.

Chic Farm to Table
Party of five with young child. Fun and varied kids menu. The appetizers were lovely -- crab cakes, bun-free sliders with horseradish ... Pork chop and halibut with frisee delicious. Would have liked to have stayed for dessert and coffee but dinner came so slowly (1 hour from ordering) and we needed to catch a bus home.

Very good food - close to Paramount
Visited for Restaurant Week. Had the Beet Salad, Steelhead, and Banana Ice Cream. All were very good. Took a child along with me, and it was appropriate to have him along. Many business diners as well. Dress was a bit nicer than casual for most people. Service was okay - minimal interactoin, nothing outstanding but I wasn't left waiting for anything either. Close to Paramount Theater, so a great place to grab a meal before seeing a performance/show.

Happy coincidence of Paramount
Happy coincidence of Paramount tickets and restaurant week. The space is sleek but comfortable, and the food was exceptional. The tuna tartar was perfect, and pairing pomegranate seeds with grilled steelhead is brilliant. It's in the Hyatt, a short two blocks from the Paramount Theater.

I had the black cod which was absolutely delicious.
My friend had the butternut squash an goat cheese crostada. Although, the crust was absolutely delicious, she found the filling to be a bit dry. It was still good but if it would have been a bit more moist, it would have been much better.
We come to Urbane frequently and have never been disappointed. Always great service and wonderful selection of food to choose from.

Limited wine by the glass selection
Reservation was for 6 and were seated promptly on a Saturday evening. We opted to have several of the starters with a salad since before heading over to the Paramount Theater, but they were already out of the mussels dish. All in all, the starters were ok. My biggest gripe was the limited wine by the glass selection and somewhat overpriced when compared with other establishments.
Can't beat the location if heading to the Paramount for a show. Next time, I may stop by for a glass of wine after the show.

Great Mac n cheese, but that's it..
We ordered the mixed green salad with quince, trio of sliders, side of Mac n cheese with crab and the steak.
Mixed greens were good, though overdressed; the Mac n cheese is awesome and the side dish size is a very sizeable portion, meant to be shared or just eat that as you meal.
The short rib sliders were tasty, a little dry, the horseradish sauce a nice complement, pickled slaw a little too powerful for the meat. Lacked salt.
The biggest disappointment - the 39$ rib eye was tough, left most of it - carved and cut around through pieces of gristle and fat. Very disappointing. When we mentioned it to the waiter - all he said was oh - sorry. Over 100$ dinner for 2 with drinks and all you can do is say "sorry?" - won't be going back.

Great Resaurant but a little loud
Everything was exceptional but it was a little loud for the business dinner we were having.

Creative menu, great options
I went with a friend before a show at the Paramount. The menu had lots of great choices, all quite creative and the ones we had were well-prepared. I had the chicken with rose/Harissa glaze, which had just a little heat, and the accompaniments were well-thought out. The service took a while. That was ok. Since we'd left plenty of time, and they paid good attention to the schedule of all the theater diners.

Satisfaction for all
I dined at Urbane with 3 other people. I thought my salad and entree were delicious. My three friends, who each ordered different entrees, loved their dinner too. Great place to eat.

Locals are missing out on
Locals are missing out on this place. It was fun of tourists enjoying well prepared food for reasonable prices in an inspired modern atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes are well above the price point. Don't be off put by the out of place bright blue glass on the outside. You can't see if from the inside during the day and not from anywhere at night.
