Food was very good. Music
Food was very good. Music was at times grating. Wine list somewhat limited. Service was initially spotty, but when pointed out they bent over backwards to correct.

RUN, DON'T WALK to La Parisienne
RUN, DON'T WALK to La Parisienne Bistro! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is friendly and professional (though we did have to wait a while to get our bill - but a musical group was setting up and I believe our waiter thought we wanted to stay for the music!) In addition to being delicious, the entrees are reasonably priced and beautifully presented. We had two of their salads and both were wonderful. The two sides we ordered were equally good and the crepe we shared was sinfully delicious. It really was like being in a bistro in Paris - without the attitude!

My husband and I had a wonderful bistro experience at La Parisienne. The food is very good-- solid bistro fare. We had the quail and veal dishes and both were good (-particularly the veal, although my husband preferred the quail.) The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are extraordinarily reasonable. The staff is full of European charm and very welcoming and attentive. It was the perfect spot for a quiet date night, off the beaten path. Oh, and did I mention the dessert crepes and chocolate mousse?!?

We have eaten twice at La
We have eaten twice at La Parisienne and have tried four different entrees and each has been absolutely delicious. I have had the salmon and veal from the regular menu, my wife has had the duck breast and a lamb special - all equally delicious. We were too full to eat one of their wonderful crepe desserts but, at the waiter's suggestion, tried the Grand Marnier creme brulee - it was a "just right" ending to a wonderful meal. Sometimes, small things make a big impression - the bread here is warm, crusty french bread served with honey butter and the waiter notices when you are running low and volunteers to bring more! All in all, one of the best restaurants in Richmond.

Wonderful couples evening
Proves great French & other food does not have to be outrageously expensive. Varied menu choices--all delicious. Superb service. Often lunch there. First dinner experience makes it worth repeating.

Fantastic find in Richmond
We have been looking for a good restaurant in Richmond for quite some time and were delighted to find La Parisienne. The food was delicious, the service warm, friendly and professional, and the wine was exceptional. The owner adds a very warm and person touch to dining there. We cannot wait to go back and eat there again!

My daughter, wife, motherlaw
My daughter, wife, motherlaw and myself went to La Parisienne on Mother's Day and it was a very enjoyable culminary experience. The food was fantastic, we had a great table with a wonderful view of downtown and the service was outstanding. We are looking forward to going back for one of their Salsa Nights after meeting the owner and dj.

First visit for Mother's Day brunch - surprising 12:30 reservation available! Never heard of La Parisienne because do not work downtown - probably thriving lunch business. Excellent food and menu choices for Sunday brunch- breakfast and dinner options. La Coastal crepe delicious - others had poached eggs on crabcake. Divinie desserts, especially the sweet berry crepe and Creme Brule.
Owner is delightful Frenchman, as is one of the waiters - very accomodating. Our dark haired, twenty-something waitress may have been new - not good at describing dishes and just OK on service.
This may be my new brunch and bistro dinner hang out. Prices are reasonable.

Fabulous French food. Awesome
Fabulous French food. Awesome crepes. Alain is a wonderful host. We ordered escargots as a starter and he threw in a second order for free. Excellent service.

Worth the drive. World class crepe
Extraordinary crepes. Get out of the west end of Richmond and take a visit. We went for Mother's Day and we were treated to wonderful service and the most delicious crepes I've had in my life! We tried their savory and their sweet. Tres magnifique! We will definitely return again. The owner was very kind and attentive to the guests in the restaurant. A great restaurant.

A Touch of Paris in Richmond
My wife and I ate at La Parisienne Bistro and Cafe for the first time on the same date when they were hosting their first Mother’s Day brunch. Despite it being their initial try at such an event, the results were superb. My wife is a big escargot fan, and she’d eaten some at two high-end restaurants the week before we ate at La Parisienne. She told me that, absolutely, the ones at La Parisienne were the best of the three.
The food was great; the service attentive and friendly; and the atmosphere was cheery and fun. La Parisienne is now on our list of “must stop there” places whenever we are in Richmond!

Very nice French restaurant
I can't say enough good things about this place. We had a group of 12, they handled our group marvelously, and did not have a mandatory gratuity. I've dined in Paris and Lèon plenty of times and the food quality here was on par with all but the very best and expensive. The only thing missing was a snobby attitude and poor service-the staff were excellent and spoke French if you wanted. I recommend La Parisienne to anyone.

If you love crepes...
then you will love La Parisienne; they have a large assortment of dinner and dessert crepes. The crepes were delicious and quite large. A crepe and a salad made a very nice dinner. Escargot was delicious as was the Grand Marnier Creme Brulee for dessert. Chef is from Belgium. Would definitely recommend and go again.

The owner was great as for recommendations and keeping an eye on the service. I ordered the duck medium and when he saw it, he thought it was more medium rare and took it back to be redone. The desert crepe was wonderful. It was our first time there and we will definitely return.

Wonderful dining experience!
La Parisienne is one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond. The food is fantastic and plentiful. The service is top notch.

WOW... in a good way!
So fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem. We spoke with the owner and our waiter for quite a bit and the passion they both have to make this place classy, and fabulously French is evident... and much appreciated! The food was simply mouth-watering (start with the CHIPS AND DIP!), and the entire experience was laid out perfectly. I enjoyed the Duck Breast with Fioe Gras as my entree and I would highly recommend it. Plan to spend time there, and enjoy!

We were greated by the owners/ chefs.Great music playingbin the backgound. My husband had the duck which he said was outstanding and I had the Le Jardin,a vegetarian savory crepe with goat chees. E shared a creme brulee which was a nice ending to our meal.

It is not often when you find a quaint spot that offers both excellent food & equally excellent service, but this place fits the bill for both! Although the restaurant was busy, both the owner and our waiter found the time to engage in pleasant conversation during the course of our visit. All of the food was well prepared and pleasingly presented. We did not feel rushed thru our meal and the various courses came out at the proper temperatures for the dishes being served. Although you anticipate higher prices for "french cuisine", our table of 4 did not feel that the prices were out of range for the quality and quantity of food being served. Serving portions were more than adequate, and the menu offered a reasonable selection of dishes.

We had a wonderful night with food and wine. The wine list is impressive! I had the seafood crepe and loved it. My husband got the
Duck Breast and was impressed. Our friends had the veal and the mussels and thought they were fabulous. Our favorite was the wine. Two bottles of the best wine we have had anywhere!! We can't wait to go again.

Great owner who makes everyone
Great owner who makes everyone feel like they are a member of his club. The food is very good and the patio is surprisingly pleasant. Live jazz some nights and a Latin late night dance DJ a couple of Fridays monthly. Go!

crepes to die for
All I can say is I am going back to try every kind of crepe they have, sweeat and savory.
7/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our recent dinner here was excellent! The duck breast and shrimp scampi were outstanding, and the crepes were a lot of fun as either an entree or dessert. The service was friendly, personal, and knowledgable. We will certainly be back.
7/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Slowly working our way down the menu! Have been four times and tried four different entrees - all of them equally delicious! They have just put cherry jubilee on the menu - what ever you do, save room for it! It is to die for!

Wonderful Gourmet Dinner
There were 4 of us and 3 ordered the veal, one ordered the steak and crab cake. All the meals were awesome. The sauce for the veal was out of this world. We ordered a bottle of Cotes Du Rhone wine and it was the best I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend this marvelous French restaurant.

Fine place for a special occasion!
I have enjoyed this fine bistro on a few occasions. It is a great place for a quiet lunch and conversation as well as a place for an elegant dinner conversation. The service is attentive but not intrusive. I look forward to many more excellent meals and events!

Everything was absolutely awesome, excellent service food and environment!!!!
9/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
The setting (ground floor of typical downtown highrise) belies the cozy atmosphere inside this little gem. We chose a lighter menu, with fresh tomato salad and avocado shrimp selection. The seafood crepes were unbelievable. Next time we'll need to save room for dessert.

French Food Foodie
Although popular with the downtown lunch crowd, this is an undiscovered gem for dinner. The entrees are magnificently prepared. The French bread is the best in town. My veal was to die for. I'm not sure why people aren't lining up at the door.
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
We really love the ambiance and the quality of food. The staff is always very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A definite must try.

We took a break from Folk Festival food and ate dinner Saturday night at La Parisienne. The food and service were excellent. The wine list, while small, has a number of good choices at fair prices.

Title says it all - great food and great service at this nice little place.

One of the best in richmond.
By far, one of the best in richmond. Greeted by the owner, who is French, personable, and honestly welcoming. Had excellent duck and osso buco. One our favorite restaurants.

Paris in Richmond!
La Parisienne experience is like traveling to Paris without the hassle of flying! I had been there for lunch many times, but, had not had dinner there since it opened last year. WOW, the savory dinner crepes were delicious and filling! I had the shrimp crepe with finely-chopped vegetables in a light and tasty cream sauce. My dinner partner had the crepe special which was so good he ate it before I had a chance to try it! Oh yes, the crusty french bread with honey-butter was also delicious. Next time, we will try to leave room to try the desserts. The service was excellent and there should be a sign on the door, "On-parle francais ici" (French spoken here). Definitely will return for dinner.
