Went for brunch on a Sunday
Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. The food was excellent. The restaurant is hidden down a quiet, residential street in the Meatpacking district. Very cool vibe.

Great spot with a beautiful
Great spot with a beautiful view of the Hudson. Attentive waiters, interesting and delicious drinks, great food!
Been here several times, never disappointed. Good for all ages.
Haven't tried brunch yet, but would love to.

Not crowded at lunch but a
Not crowded at lunch but a lovely bar, and small but tasty menu. Reasonable prices, Best burger in ages and tasty salad. Place has a funky happy feel right by the river. Only issue is that given no crowd took a while to get lunch on the table. Lovely no attitude service.

Best omellete ever! And wonderful blood orange mimosas. Just a fabulous brunch in Meatpacking.

Tasty and Picturesque
Bakehouse is something of a find, right now, because I could get a reservation for 10 a.m. brunch in the Meatpacking District on very little notice. And brunch was very tasty--ricotta pancakes, eggs Florentine, good strong coffee. The Go Green freshly made combination of green apple, cucumber, kale and ginger juice was a stand out.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner - was a rainy day so wasn't that crowded, but the view of the river is awesome and the decor is industrial and cool. We loved it for our date, but would absolutely be back for daytime brunch on the weekend, especially with the water view. The waiter was extremely attentive. Overall great service and food. Also, great bar! I will absolutely go again with my boyfriend or with some friends.

Having read the mixed reviews about this restaurant, I decided to try myself, and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and good, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We'll definitively be back!

Great find on the Hudson
3rd visit to this hidden gem in the W. Village. Great cozy rustic inviting atmosphere with an open airy space. It's out of the way and sits right next to Westside Hwy with great views of the Hudson river from inside. There for their happy hour and business meeting and the restaurant was just getting started. Nice drink selection and friend had a burger who said it was great. They were out of their signature pretzels, which are oh sooo good. Friendly service, great ambience, great food reasonably priced. One of those places where you can just relax, have some good quality food with friends and let time just slip by. Well worth a visit.

Great spot for birthday dinner
As a group reunited and celebrating our birthday before a night out in the area, the bakehouse was perfect. Our waitress was extremely helpful and the food was amazing. The restaurant overlooked the Hudson and it had a chilled out and relaxing vibe. I'd definitely go back.

Perfect Brunch for Healthy Eaters!
We were greeted very well by the hostess, the menu had organic healthy options, real freshly squeezed juices - loved the cucumber, apple and kale concoction. I had the lobster Benedict... perfectly prepared, the home fries were baked, not fried. Everyone's meal was terrific, the oat scone was simply delicious - topped off with a very good latte. I'll definitely be back! Thank you :)

A nice neighbourhood spot
A nice neighbourhood spot near the vibrant meatpacking scene offering quiet and quaint vibe. Not pretentious...Inviting.

The place to go, easy, effortlessly cool and great food. The waiter thanked me for not eating the plate, as I ate everything which is unusual for me!

Nice Sunday Brunch
Great place for brunch. Food, service, and atmosphere were very nice. A stroll along the river afterwards is a nice finish to this experience.

French onion soup is very delicious. The Kale Caesar salad was a bit over dressed, but the chicken was cooked perfectly. Mac and Chez of course to die for. Brussel sprouts are AMAZING. The brown sugar dessert, there are no words to describe it. However my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Server was so sweet and accomadating.

We were a table of six for dinner pre-4th of July fireworks. Despite a packed restaurant, the service and food were great. Would definitely repeat. Interesting cocktails, too.

Prefect night along the Hudson
My mom and her friends were in town and I wanted a restaurant that has a great view and also close to bars for an after dinner drink. Bake house was perfect. Food was great, and our waiter was friendly and was on top of our very need. I will definitely be going back. Only thing is the music is a bit clubby but that's to be expected in the meatpacking. Oh and request a window seat if possible. I will also come back just to hang at the bar for a before dinner drink. You can walk the piers after dinner with a great view of the city and jersey.

Best bread in NYC
If you go early, it's not crowded, and you can enjoy the sunset over the Hudson river. I haven't been there during peak dining hours, but I can imagine that it will get noisy. The food was excellent and the waiter attentive and very friendly. But best of all, the bread tastes like real European bread. I would just return for the bread alone.

There is something about this
There is something about this place that I love. I think they do everything well and when it all comes together it's terrific.

Meatpacking meets West Village
Bakehouse is at the threshold of two neighborhoods-- where bustling Meatpacking blurs into the quiet West Village, and the restaurant alludes to the same. Large and trendy enough to fit in with the big restaurants to its north, but discreetly tucked away on Horatio st.
Bakehouse offers tasty food, an interesting variety of dishes, and attentive service. Outdoor seating with views of the Hudson are also available. Great spot.

Great food and atmosphere
Ate here on a Saturday night with 5 friends. We all agreed that the food was excellent. The atmosphere was also just right - comfortable but not stuffy. The restaurant is close but not "in" the meatpacking district which I was happy about. You're away from the craziness but just around the corner. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
8/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Far exceeded expectations.
Bakehouse was a real gem of a find. Sitting on the edge of the Meatpacking district and overlooking the Hudson river with lovely views of New Jersey Bakehouse is a lovely restaurant that ticked all the boxes.
The server was very nice and knowledgeable, the cocktails were fantastic (strawberry and jalapeno is an amazing combination). The food was fantastic on every front. Every course was simply fantastic.
I really couldn't recommend Bakehouse highly enough.

Always a Treat
Great dinner. Started with the oysters and then ordered the lamb chops with a side of truffled mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. My husband shared the oysters and had the duck leg confit which he also enjoyed. My daughter really liked the pork sliders. The space is beautiful and the sunset that evening was beautiful.

Nice Sunday Brunch and no crowd
Creative brunch just a couple blocks off the Meat Packing District. We were able to make a reservation. However, it wasn't crowded. My fiancé had an omelet with mushrooms, cheese and truffle oil. Great flavor. I had a Crocque Madam. I always get these in Paris and I was not disappointed. The iced cappuccino was the best my fiancé had ever had. Jared, our waiter and former Starbuck's barrista, had a special way of making it so the ice didn't immediately water down the coffee flavor. We would definitely go back. Reasonable price. Just a couple short blocks to the south end of the HighLine.

Really enjoyed our meal and experience! Our waiter was so sweet and attentive and helped us with the menu and cocktail selection.
For starters we had the steak tartar and scallops. I had the pappardelle and my boyfriend had the steak - everything was fantastic.
Very romantic room and vibe. Highly recommend!

Great food, wonderful staff!
Loved this place, went there twice while I was just in NYC for work. Dinner: ALL about the oysters. They are delicious and big! The beef tartar was also wonderful. Great craft cocktails, too. I went there for brunch a few days later. I thought dinner was better, but still great overall. The place is very pleasant, the staff is really wonderful (the waiter who helped me the first night remembered my name when I came in again), and it's not overly crowded or snobby. Would certainly go again.

This was a great spot to go have dinner on a Friday night. I had the baked black cod and my friend had the fresh cavatelli, both excellent choices. There was noise but not so much that you had to talk loud to hear what the other was saying. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. There was one point where it took her awhile to come back but she apologized. I also say that it is good for groups since there was a birthday party with about 10 people a few tables behind us. Again, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I've heard brunch here is great as well.

This is one of my favorite
This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants! The salads are great, scallops wonderful and mac n cheese amazing!! Friendly service. Nice view looking out over the west side highway...pretty for a sunset!

food, service and environment are always excellent yet relaxed. I could eat every meal here.
10/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
We went on a Friday night with a group of four & had the most relaxing & delish 3 hour meal. The Bakehouse Burger was the best part of the meal, although everything was amazing.
Can't wait to go back.

First time, will go back!
I dined at Bakehouse with a group of 5. We were sat promptly, and greeted by our server promptly, all things I love. As the name indicates they make their own breads, scones, pastries in house. So of course I had to order an almond chocolate croissant (actually reserve it for post-brunch eating because I was informed it would sell out. I'm not surprised if it does every day SO GOOD!!!) We all ordered brunch selections, goat cheese omelette, veggie croque monsieur, and the hanger steak salad. All were so delicious to look at as well as eat. And of course shared 3 pastries, all delicious! The one thing I didn't love was how loud the restaurant was, luckily we were sat under a lower ceiling, and it's brunch in NYC where is it not loud?

Best bread in town
This place is really hidden, so it's never overrun. The warm decor make you feel comfortable and cozy, yet still chic. You could just go there for a glass of wine and their home-made bread, but all the other items on the menu are worth trying. I higly recommend the scallops.
10/22/2013 5:00:00 PM
for all who want to have brunch in meatpack district without all this "fancy & chic" people - this is the best spot ever! location itself is beautifull, their're kid friendly, food is great, service very nice and fast. and don't forget the view you have directly out to hudson river. a perfect spot!

Great night out with my husband
Immediately loved the ambience-warm, cozy and farmhouse interior. We were seated against a wall even though we requested a windows table. Would have left if we could not move and after being able to switch our table were nothing but impressed with the restaurant/bakery. Our server was knowledgeable and gracious. Our food was amazing. From warm blue with honey, manchego croquettes and diver scallops the best I've had, to a great bottle of organic Cabernet, oysters and hand cut fries, our meal was amazing. We inquired about the bakery which was obviously not an evening gig, and were gifted with two scones on our way out the door. This gem is amidst residences on the west side, but worth the trip. We will be back,

Delicious brunch with great choices! Service was just okay as we were left for some time, but will go back. Loved the exposed brick and atmosphere of bakehouse.
11/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Bakehouse. They have a great team working at this restaurant. All were attentative, friendly and knowledgeable and the service from all was great.
I would definitely visit again. The mac and cheese and roasted sprouts were cooked to perfection!
11/28/2013 4:00:00 PM
I had a very nice time at the restaurant. The decor is warm and cozy, without being too over the top. The prices were moderate. The quality of food was solid. Nothing spectacular, but definitely way above average for sure! The wait staff seemed friendly and genuine. Would recommend it and will be coming back next time I'm in the area.
12/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
I have driven by so many times and I always said I have try that place out, but never did. One day I just decided to make a reservation for brunch, well I'm glad I did. I fell in love with the place. Staff was amazing and the place is huge but has such a warm atmosphere with gorgeous views. Menu selection was also outstanding! I just loved everything about it. You have to try this place / it's amazing!

Great brunch spot!
We went here for Sunday brunch and loved it! Service was excellent, the view of the water was perfect, and the food and drinks were amazing! I highly recommend the mimosas and the truffle oil omelet- it was the best omelet I have ever had.
