The Carversville Inn is one of our favorites. The food is always excellent, very thoughtfully prepared. This restaurant is well kept secret and a little gem located in a picturesque village in Bucks County.

Retirement Dinner for 4
I have been dining at the Carversville Inn for over 25 years. I know that we can count on the same wonderful experience each and every time. I can also count on the scrumptious mushroom appetizer and the bread pudding for dessert. It's nice to know that there are still restaurants that have not lost a step over the years. If you are lucky enough to find the Carversville Inn, you will have an unforgettable experience! Don't forget your GPS...you will need it!

Small-town Country Gem
Having driven past this spot many times and having heard wonderful things about it, we recently made a special occasion visit and enjoyed a delightful meal. The food (entrees of Filet Mignon and Salmon, with varying accompaniments) was absolutely wonderful, the service was friendly and attentive but not bothersome, and the overall ambiance was great. Being a very slow weeknight there were very few other diners present, but I get the feeling that they provide just as nice an experience when the tables are filled - just probably not as quiet. We will definitely return to find out.

Special Event with delicious food
Oh my, what a great evening of delicious food. Super. Service was prompt and friendly. Not too noisy and they purposely seated people every other table as to not have people too close together. Loved the historic setting. Would go back every day if I had the money!
6/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fathers Day Brunch
Gazpacho, guacamole and cerviche as starters and omelet and egg scramble as entrees. Everything was excellent. Wait staff was prompt and attentive. Definitely a "go back" restaurant.
6/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
We were over the moon with all appetizers, salads and desserts except for the Gulf shrimp entree, which was very salty. Given that the other dishes were outstanding, as was the service, we can't wait to go back!
6/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food and service were excellent.
Food and service were excellent. Love the building and location, tucked away off the beaten path in Bucks County.

Great Dining Experience
We are new to Pennsylvania and absolutely loved our experience at Carversville Inn. The ambiance is great for date night....quaint and romantic. The room we dined in had a fire place. We enjoyed sharing two appetizers: gulf shrimp and wild mushroom Ragout that both tasted amazing. My husband doesn't even really like mushrooms and he said he would order this dish again.
For entrees we had the chicken which changes daily and was the best chicken dish I have ever had! Hubby had one of their homemade pasta dishes with shrimp and sausage and ate every bite. Desserts are home made and to die for. Can't wait to go back and share with friends!

As always, the food and service
As always, the food and service was excellent!! We keep coming back to this restaurant after moving several times.

The quintessential Bucks County dinning experience . You feel like your 50 years back in time on the porch at this elegant old Inn . And as lovely as the setting is , the food is wonderful . Plan your reservation to coincide with dusk . Amazing .
7/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is our new favorite "date night" place. You will not be disappointed!

Six of us ate at the Carversville
Six of us ate at the Carversville Inn on Saturday night. We had a great round table in front of a window.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We all said lets go back in the fall

I Don't Recall any Disappointments
I'm sure that between brunches and lunches I've dined here a dozen times in the past three years (both alone or with family) and have always enjoyed their very good meals. Today was no exception. A great soup and quiche served by the very attentive Courtney made for a wonderful summer brunch.
This part of Bucks has several good inns and Carversville is one of the best.

A gem in Carversville
Drive into Carversville and you will be going back in time. The Carversville Inn enhances that experience. Great food, great service and that back in time atmosphere. Don't miss it!
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
Shocking good food
Dinner with friends - know the Inn and expected the food to be very good, instead the food was crazy good! We couldn't stop raving about it and for the first time I have ever seen it anywhere, everyone cleaned their plates to the last crumb. Service first rate as well. Fantastic - still talking about it at work on Monday
8/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Was torn between the brie & duck app and the mushroom ragout, and went with the brie which was fabulous! I truly could eat that by myself for lunch/brunch and be happy. The next Sunday I have some time, I may just do that!
Another stand out was the bread pudding dessert.
Wonderful entrees to choose from, we went with the pork chop and the catch of the day - sushi grade tuna and both were excellent. The interior looked cozy, but we got very lucky with weather, about 75 and clear, and chose to eat out on the terrace. The next time we go back - if the weather isn't cooperating - we'll sit in the cozy dining area.
All in all, a wonderful experience, and we plan on returning to this local gem.

Excellent dinner choice
This restaurant offers a comprehensive menu and daily specials that you can't go wrong with any choice. Our dinner and dessert were delicious. The service is wonderful with just the right amount of attentativeness. I strongly recommend The Carversville Inn.

Carversville Inn is great
Been here a few times. Food is always great. The duck and boar are so good it's hard to sample everything else! Desserts awesome. Our wait staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Beautiful spot, good service, amazing food. What else do you need? Thanks, Carversville for making a birthday dinner over- the -top special!
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
ALWAYS THE BEST!!!
love, love, love to dine at my favorite restaurant!!! rack of lamb and the duck are the BEST around without a doubt! the chef's whim chicken and the salmon are always delicious. when they have short ribs, try them....absolutely fabulous!! soft shells (when in season) are delicious! i am unhappy when the season is over for gazpacho.......the best i have ever tasted is right there !!!!
beet salad is great but i luuuv the endive salad!
9/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
My cousin and her husband joined us to celebrate my birthday. The service was impeccable to the point that I do not remember anything about it. The atmosphere and the staff both encouraged us to sit, catch up on busy lives and relax. Not many places are conducive to that.
The mushroom ragout was so good that I could have stopped there and given a great review.
The entrees were a mixed bag. My crab cakes were ok but not on par with the ragout. My cousin's seabass was wonderful. My husband was disappointed in his boar ribs; they were chewy and small. My cousin's husband was very happy with the chef's choice chicken
We will keep in mind the wonderful appetizers as a possible light dinner as we pass through on our travels.

One of our favorite places to dine
Carversville Inn has always provided an excellent experience whether at the bar, in one of the cozy dining rooms or outside on one of the patios. The bartenders are attentive, friendly and skilled. The waitstaff are always ready and helpful. (James is top shelf).
The Rack of Lamb is my favorite! Every appetizer has been creative and delicious. Dessert selections always have us taking too much time trying to decide... they have all been wonderful!
We can't wait to go back.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary at The Carversville Inn numerous times and always have nothing but good things to say about it. We love the food, the wine, the music, and the decor. I ordered the filet and my wife had the duck. Both were excellent. I am quite sure we will return again and again.
9/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great country dining
We went to the Carversville Inn for our wedding anniversary. It is an old establishment in a quiet nook in Bucks County, and the historic ambiance is taken advantage of. The menu and staff present a formal, quality dining experience. All of the food, from soup and appetizers through the desert and beverages, is excellently prepared. The Diver scallop appetizer, the Tuna, Sushi grade prepared in a quasi-Japanese style, was cooked rare as requested, and the half-duck was cooked to perfection. Desserts (a peach/berry cobbler with home-made cinnamon ice cream and a ganach pie) were outstanding. The romantic, leisurely experience will be well remembered.
9/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
No more chain restaurants!
No more loud pop music, no more inexperienced servers, and no more mediocre cookie-cutter dishes.....and no more being rushed through less than exciting meals!! That has been our experience recently at a collection of pricey chain restaurants...you know the ones. I prefer Carversville Inn, my favorite for a long time..... felt so good this past Saturday to have a lovely lunch. Table cloths on the table, authentic atmosphere, experienced and low key (Mary Beth was great) servers, great music, and best of all, some of the best food you'll ever have at prices that compare to the chains........
9/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
We wanted to try the Carversville
We wanted to try the Carversville Inn after reading all the reviews. We were not disappointed. Great apps (mussels w/blue cheese) to fabulous dinners (Filet w/ horseradish cream) finishing with a delicious homemade peach and raspberry cobbler w/ homemade ice cream. yum!
We'll be back!

Anniversary dinner - very romantic
Our first time at the Carversville Inn. We were seated immediately. Waiter James was extremely attentive with impeccable service. Mustard crusted salmon recommended and it was delicious. Prime Rib special - also delicious and done just as ordered. Apple crisp with homemade ice cream was a perfect ending. Extensive drink and wine list. Will definitely return.

Great for a special occasion
We had a wonderful dinner at the Carversville Inn. Even the drive from our home in Lower Bucks was lovely. Very attentive staff, excellent food, historic ambiance. We were seated in the bar area but it was still a refined atmosphere. Expensive for us, but worth it for a special occasion.
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
We have dined at the Carversville Inn many times. It is one of the few area restaurants that is always delicious. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. As much as I wanted to try a new entree, I selected the mustard crusted salmon in lemon butter sauce. It is spectacular. My husband ordered the Mahi Mahi, one of the specials that night, and he was equally impressed. We will be back....again and again.

Always a Great Choice
Whenever I come for brunch or lunch (a couple of times each season) I am always greeted by a member of the staff who remembers their regular diners (and in this last instance, what they drink). Food constantly +4 stars.
10/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food we ordered was delicious! There were many other interesting sounding items as well. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive, as they should. Unfortunately, with our appetizers and generous main course, we were unable to sample desert.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Quaint yet sophisticated eatery

A Hidden Treasure
If you are privy to this secret location of Carversville PA you have to try dining at the Inn at least once. I'm sure you would be returning many times afterwards. The food was outstanding and the service was perfect. The Inn was quite busy on a Saturday night, but the servers made you feel as though they were our personal staff without standing over our table and hovering. The wine list was fairly extensive. To add the perfect touch, the chef came out of the kitchen and introduced himself to his guests. In my opinion this shows a chef who cares about the guests he serves. Highly recommend this restaurant and the chef's duck!!
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Always a nice evening
Love the duck. Especially love the eggplant appetizer which I could make a meal of. For such a nice atmosphere, we wish they'd turn down the overhead lights a bit though.
10/23/2013 5:00:00 PM
We live on the Jersey Shore
We live on the Jersey Shore an hour and a half from Buck's County, PA but have always enjoyed the scenery there, and have passed the Carversville Inn many times. We are so happy we finally did! An excellent dinner with matching service with a personal touch! We will return.
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
luuuuuuv it! still my favorite!
i say it over and over til i am blue in the face....luuuuuv it at CI !!!! we can always be certain that whenever we bring new people there, we KNOW that the meal will be nothing less than perfect from the food to the service to the charm to the warmth of everyone !
we took friends this last time and they were so impressed that they bought a gift card for a family member!
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
I've been to the Carversville Inn quite a few times. It is always lovely. The food is very good, though I'm not as adventurous as I should be because I can't resist the mushroom ragout appetizer or the chocolate ganache desert. The three small interconnecting rooms make it very cosy.
The staff are always great, though service was a little slow on my last visit due to them being unusually busy for a Sunday night. Parking can sometimes be difficult - I suspect that people not going to the Inn use the parking lot.
Overall, its a delightful experience.
11/2/2013 5:00:00 PM
The food was a bit different than you will find in some restaurants. Everything was fresh and had outstanding taste
11/2/2013 5:00:00 PM
I have reviewed Carversville Inn many times....it is my favorite restaurant so we eat there regularly. It is always a lovely experience....Had the escargot...I always do....and the homemade fettucini with shrimp and sausage. Both were excellent and it was another enjoyable afternoon at Carversville. The experience was even better because of new server, Matt, who although new, was obviously experienced and knowledgeable....

Sophicated country inn
One of bucks county's best. Beautiful setting, creative menu, great service. Wonderful for special occasions.

A Very Good Brunch
Went with a friend who lives in the area but hadn't been there in years. Everything was great, but when my friend ordered an expresso martini they could not make one. They have no bartender, but as a waiter who is no longer working there once told me, the servers can usually whip up anything. They said something about, 'not having the equipment.'
Food is still 4 - 4 1/2 stars in my book.
