We like to return here when we visit Rehoboth Beach. A little pricey, but the food and service are great! The menu is not extensive, but has variety and changes periodically. Everything is thoughtfully prepared and presented. A unique dining experience! GPS Challenge: Although the address is listed as Wilmington Ave. at the corner with First St., the entrance is midway down the block on First.

Small menu of unique and outstanding items. Wait staff very knowledgeable about the offerings and can give advice on what might fit your likes. No loud music so easy to relax and have a conversation. One of the best in Rehobeth.

An Excellent dinner
Visited during April 2013 and had an excellent meal. Hostess/waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and guided us for a real treat. We ate at many other fine Rehoboth restaurants during our visit but none came close to Espuma.

A neighbor recommended Espuma
A neighbor recommended Espuma to my wife and I. We decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary there, based on David's description of the restaurant. It was a FANTASTIC experience. Our server, Florina, was the nicest, most professional and accommodating wait staff person we have ever met in the Rehoboth/Lewes area ... and we have been living/dining here for nearly 20 years. The food was magnificent. You have to try Espuma.

We really enjoyed our visit. The food was all good. The paella was fantastic - the best I have ever had! We also really enjoyed the wine flights. The food runners could have done a better job at presenting the food and wine (I.e., letting you know what they were bringing when they brought it since you order several plates), but our server always answered all of our questions.

We loved this restaurant. Definitely not dinner as usual. Very interesting menu and drink menu choices. Each dish was unique and visually striking. The taste was spot on. We will go back the next time we are in Rehoboth.

We went to Espuma for the first time on Mother's Day and we were absolutely loved it. The staff is friendly and fun, and the atmosphere of the entire restaurant is relaxed and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails we enjoyed. We will definitely be returning!

Really enjoyed the evening
Interesting and creative menu. Quality of the food and perpetration was excellent. Service was outstanding. We had the pork cheek and the mushroom ravioli and enjoyed both. Not cheap but similar to many other Rehoboth restaurants. Had not been here for several years and sorry we waited so long.

The food was good and well prepared. The portions were small and pricey. The dining room is dark could be cool but it is really too dark. I think Espuma is worth trying but just be aware of what I mentioned.

While we visited Espuma on a week night before the beach season begins, we were impressed by the quality of the food and the service. While the number of customers was quite small, it seemed that we received as much care and excellent menu options as if it was the height of the season.

Although not a vegetarian restaurant, the vegetables dishes were each different and memorable. We loved the amuse bouche--a spot of crab on a small cracker, and the freshly-baked bread with the two dips and roasted garlic. The hits were the sesame-roasted half lobster and the wild mushroom tart appetizers, and main dish, neo classic paella (which unfortunately had bits of mussel shells in it, probably unavoidable given the makeup of the dish). The mustard-glazed 3 day pork, although tasty, was a disappointment, way too dry, but again, the vegetables really shone. We loved the side dishes--epics (really creamy mashed potatoes) and creamed vidalia onions. Although not inexpensive, this is a worthwhile experience; very "grown-up" food.

The food at Espuma is an experience that never disappoints. The savory combinations are always amazing and unique. Each bite is a party in our mouth! The vegetarian extravaganza is pure bliss; each selection is better than the last. The seasonings and creativity are unmatchable in any other restaurant.

We went for our anniversary
We went for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was great as was the food. The draft beer wasn't as cold as we like it,but our server offered to switch it for a bottled beer which was on ice. They were cold beers! Se shared the fish dinner. It was excellent. We even had dessert! An upside down peach cake-delicious!

My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary while on vacation. My husband grew up going to Rehoboth each summer and since I've joined him, we try to find a new place each year to try. Espuma exceeded all our expectations. My husband and I usually stick to traditional (somewhat boring) menus and dish choices. We ordered 2 appetizers-Fresh Mozarella platter and Priscuotto wrapped asparagus, and found ourselves so excited for our main dishes because they were so good. My main dish of truffle stuffed ravioli literally melted in my mouth. My husband and I were comfortably stuffed after dinner but knew we had to try a dessert because of how amazing every bite of our meal had been.

We went to Rehobeth beach for 4th of July weekend and by being picky on food we researched local restaurants. According to open table`s review Espuma was suppose to fit great our expectation. And it did. The food is amazing. Highly recommend the beef and the mozzarella salad. Dessert not so impress. Not bad but different. Service not the one you expect in this kind of restaurant. She was busy and seemed not to worry much about us not having wine. Also greeting two tables at the same time is not very professional. However, overall highly recommend the place if you are looking for quality food.

Food made with passion
They started us off with a little taste of watermelon and goat cheese, a nice morsel surprise. Then they came out with their homemade sour dough bread. I make homemade bread and this was excellent. I started off with their crab salad, which had a beautiful presentation and was very tasty and refreshing. I choose the 7 vegetable whims of the chef and was pleasantly surprised with 7 little plates of vegetables. It was fun to eat and every bite was tasty. I had so much fun eating my veggies, so then I splurged on dessert with a plate of cookies. The bar was a little noisy with music I didn't care for, but other than that, hats off to the chefs and server.

Best of Rehoboth
Espuma has been my favorite restaurant in Rehoboth Beach for years. I love the bistro vibe and the artistic decor. I especially like the cucumber-tinis!
BTW the food is also spectacular.

Attentive service, high prices
The prices were high for our taste, but the service was great, and the food was very good. We had an amuse bouche (compressed melon with rice wine vinegar and olive dust) that was surprisingly tasty, and the bread that the waiter brought came with roasted garlic, olive tapenade, and white bean spread, all three of which were excellent. The homemade sourdough was a little dry and bland. For dinner, we ordered the Three-day Pork, which was fantastic, and the scallops, which was also fantastic, but not as good as the pork. After dinner, my husband ordered the peach caipirinha, as the waiter informed us that the peaches were local and purchased that day. Not my husband's favorite, but good. Overall we loved our experience there.

My husband and I have been coming to Espuma for years and it continues to impress!! Started with the tomato salad with Gorgonzola, delish. We also tried the infamous bacon and egg appetizer, always our fave!! For dinner the deconstructed, reconstructed rib eye as I was told was the best steak I've had in Rehoboth in years, not to mention the chicken (yes chicken) topped with the best flash fried broccoli rabe ever. Espuma continues to be the best restaurant in Rehoboth, we'll continue to go every time we come to town. FYI, apparently their cocktails are as award winning as the service seems to be. Bartender was kind and dapper. Cucumber martini was lavish and savory. 5 stars all around.

This was my first visit to Espuma this year. As usual,it was very good. I can always find something new here. They push the envelope. A very knowledgeable staff. Try the slow cooked pork entree.

We eat at Espuma on our aniversay every year. Decided it would be a great place
to dine with another couple and be able to carry on conversations. Most places in
Rehoboth are noisy in summer. This was perfect. And the food never disappoints.

Our waitress's great personality and obvious passion for the superb food being prepared in the kitchen made dining at Espuma a delight. No drink is beyond the bartender's imagination and talent .

Espuma is a must for anyone who appreciates great food and wonderful service. We have eaten at most of the "good" restaurants in Rehoboth Beach, but this one stands alone. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth every penny.

I made a specific request for a round table and adequate lights. Upon our arrival, we saw a round table available but they said it was reserved by another party. That table was empty the whole time we were there. The food was different but expected. Everyone appeared to enjoy the meal. The place was not crowded.

Terrific Food and Atmosphere
We (two couples) went to Espuma a couple of days after Labor Day. The restaurant was pretty deserted. Don't let that fool you. The food and atmosphere were terrific. This is seemingly a tough period for all the good restaurants in Rehoboth, except for maybe Blue Moon. But Espuma is terrific; well worth your eating there!

We visited Espuma on a Friday evening in early September. The paella was excellent and had a good bit of heat to it. The service was also very good. The restaurant itself was not at all busy so the noise level was quiet.

We've been to Espuma about a half dozen times over the last 4 years. It never disappoints. The ambiance is upscale and intimate, the service excellent, and the food is the finest in Rehoboth Beach - bar none. It's fine dining that rivals high-end restaurants in DC. You'll have an excellent, "can't miss" dining experience here. Enjoy!

We were in Rehoboth Beach for one night. I chose Espuma because it was close to our hotel and had good ratings but we were floored. Not as busy as I'd expected, they had a tasting dinner they offered, with or without wine pairings; you could choose dishes from the menu OR let the chef create your menu. We chose the latter. 6 courses. Our favorites crab cake w/apricot paired w/Bar Harbor Sauvignon Blanc ;halibut w/mushroom & black truffle filled ravioli w/smoky/savory sauteed greens.The dessert course was generous (4 samples from the main menu) but really only the house apple cake suited the meal. Service was attentive and discrete and chef came out to speak with us. We will return no doubt about it.

Great food... needs a bit of polish
Service was a bit frenetic - give us a chance to actually look at the menus (we're new here) before returning a few times within a few minutes to get our orders in. Is there a fire somewhere? Corn soup was fantastic - Thai flavors and not a typical chowder. Chicken breast was moist & flavorful, the rabe with it was even better. Vegetarian extravaganza was 7 great tastes - each nicely different from the others (truffle ravioli & farmers market beet salad of grilled reds, golden relish, crisp goat cheese, pistachios, pineapple gel, tarragon where the best of the bunch). For dessert, jay’s ice cream sliders (mint-white chocolate chip ice cream, apricot “romesco”, candied almonds, blood orange syrup) - these were a great & shareable finish.

Thoughtful Creative Delicious
I may have overlooked Espuma if they hadn't been a donor at an autism charity event I attended. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. The waiter suggested drinks & the special. We decided on the bacon & egg salad & red snapper special & fig salad & rockfish. They brought out an amuse bouche that was a deliciously unexpected addition to the meal. That bacon & egg salad was one of the best things either of us ever had on our mouths. For dessert my husband went right for the chocolate 3 ways! I had a very happy birthday boy on my hands. Overall I fel this meal was surprising, well executed and just plain fun. It was an out of the box dining experience that I hope to to have again very soon.
