We had a great dinner May 4th -
The restaurant is physically small but they do an expert job in navigating and maximizing the space we had
The space actually adds to the warmth and almost a camaraderie among the patrons --
There were three of us and we all had a different entry and a different dessert and universally loved everything
SEA is a gem!

What a catch
Delicious seafood and the best tuna bolognese I've ever had. Great flavors and the freshest ingredients. Will be back

First time at S.E.A.= AWESOME!
This was our first time at SEA. They called to confirm our reservation, a nice touch.
Food was unbelievable! No, REALLY Unbelievable! They keep it simple, but the flavors are so
aromatic, and you can almost discern each ingredient. This is a "must eat"!!!!
Black/White Creme Brûlée was a delightful way to end the meal!
5/10/2013 4:00:00 PM
Get the Braised Fish of the Day!!
Chef Tony rocks the seafood! The brazen of the day (usually Black Grouper) is astoundingly complex and tasty! Best meal I've ever had in FLL!
Don't miss the Whiskey cake!

Delightful Little Restaurant
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Sea this past Saturday evening. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The decor is no frills, simple but fun. The service was excellent from the moment we entered the restaurant right up until we left. The star of the show was without question the food. We both had the steak crostini appetizer which was excellent. As a main course my wife had the tuna special and I had the grouper braise. Both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. For desert we had the whiskey cake, very tasty. If you are looking for a simple no frills spot with excellent service and some of the best cooking in South Florida you must try Sea!

Be seen at Sea!
Fabulous fresh fish, never a disappointment! The braised fish du jour is always to die for.

Tony's Seafood Extravaganza
Tony;s Sea Resaturant is always a treat. Now at this LBTS (Commercial Blvd) location for almost a year, A fixed price menu (a la carte if you insist) makes for a fine repast without worrying too much about budget. The Grilled scallops are always tops as a main, the starter a buffalo caprese with delightfully fresh tomatoes or the grilled citrus shrimp marvelous. My special main was a braised black grouper was also extraordinary. Desserts are special but tonite's chocolate peanut butter pie was "awesome."
But take warning--get there soon as the Lauderdale by The Sea Burghers are redoing the the entrance way to the town over the Intracoastal bridge-- how long can the merchants can withstand this summer's traffic and parking mess!

Dinner at Sea 6/29
Having dined previously at Sea and at other Tony Sindaco restaurants the food and service was excellent this time as they have been in the past.. The chefs hands on approach contributes to the overall dining experience.

what a place
What a delight. I am a fish eater and it was so refreshing to have a place that caters to fish lovers. This is my new take me to dinner place. My husband and I both started with the wedge. Not a large piece, but sooo tasty. My husband who is a meat eater of course had to change from having fish to a fantastic NY strip steak. The sides that accompany all entrees are as good as the mail dish. Desert which part of the 3 course price fix meal was just the right size and flavor. I had the key lime tart, while my husband the cream broule. He said it was finger licking good.
This is a very small place, I would suggest you make a reservation We shall be back shortly.
Paul was our server, and he was the BEST. Ask for him.

Small and charming with limited
Small and charming with limited menu of outstanding seafood dishes. If you are looking for delicious fish, go to Sea.

Best in Lauderdale
Exceptional food, wonderfully personable service and great value..... after eating in this tiny restaurant, you feel like you've discovered a secret 'best restaurant' ....

Small little gem
This was our second time to SEA and we were just as impressed with the food as the first time. Everything is fresh and the courses come out one after the next. It is a prix-fixe menu that cannot be shared so be prepared to spend $40 per person without having wine but the presentation and deliciousness of the food is worth it.
7/26/2013 5:00:00 PM
When we drove up to the restaurant I wasn't sure about it because it was a quaint little place. We went anyway, very clean and neat inside, but more importantly, the food was amazing and I will definitely return!
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fantastic service and food!
Very relaxed atmosphere with outstanding dishes and service. The Mahi and grouper were fabulous! Will go back again with friends and family when in Ft. Lauderdale.
7/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was absolutely amazing! The gulf shrimp appetizer and scallop entree were so fresh, that they tasted almost sweet and just melted in my mouth. The preparation was very healthy and delicious. The meal was very well prepared and I was really impressed...it was one of the best meals I have had in a while.
8/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Four diners agreed that the food and service was outstanding. All had fish dinners and were very pleased. I am not much of a fish person, but loved the black grouper special - wife had the crab cakes and they were great tool Did the Monday night free corkage which was a good value. Three agreed that the soup was "super". Excellent desserts were shared and enjoyed by all. Staff was friendly, informed, explained, and served well. Good for intimate dinner since the space is small but comfortable - we will definitely go back.

Fantastic lunch spot. Fabulous
Fantastic lunch spot. Fabulous food
Limited menu.. & inexpensive.
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
a true Neighborhood gem
If you love fish, this is the place. The menu is written on a chalk board, with a limited amount of main dishes. For those that love fish, there are 2 meat choices. A beautiful veal chop that my husband said was worth every p3enny of the price, as well as a prime NY Strip.
The price of the meal includes a soup or salad, main course, and desert.
Wine prices are very fair, and Paul our server who we request each time is complements a great meal.
8/9/2013 5:00:00 PM
everything from the appetizer to the desert was DELICIOUS!!!!!!! A must try seafood place!!!!
8/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Exceptional and Delicious
Relaxing and comfortable from appetizer to desert. The Dr. Rosen's Wife's Salad was mouthwatering and dressed perfectly. As always, the Tuna Bolognese was prepared to perfection. I still can taste the vegetable medley -- innovative and addictive. This is one of the best chefs -- and maybe the best chef -- in Ft. Lauderdale. A refreshing change from all the restaurants here, Sea royally serves your palate and your presence with impressive, innovate and impeccable style.
8/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
The location in a small strip mall might make you hesitate before going in the door--DON'T! The entirely seafood pix fixe menu is outrageously good. The fish and bacon chowder with little or no cream, seared scallops, artfully arranged veggies and key lime pie and whisky cake were all outstanding. I cant forget the bread either. how can crispy bread melt in your mouth? Waiter paul was very good, too. Add a chilled bottle of albarino and the evening couldn't be better!
8/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
The staff at Sea made my late
The staff at Sea made my late father's day present amazing. The food was even better than we expected. It gave us the high style dinner we were looking for without the attitude that generally goes hand in hand with this caliber of food. We will definitely be back. A new favorite!
8/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our visit to SEA brought back memories of the original fame of Sunfish Grill, in a more new and refined way. The food was outstanding and the pricing is on point with a decent wine list to accompany whatever you are eating. We have found our new regular favorite spot!
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good food, Good service
Went early so not crowded. Not a fancy atmosphere but quaint and clean. Service was very good. The food was great. Had crab crusted mahi mahi with vegetables. Presentation was quite special. Vegetables presented nicely. Overall we were very pleased.
8/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
The chef at this restaurant is amazing. Everything that we had was right on spot. The service and ambiance on the other hand left much to be desired. Especially at this price point. The menu is a prix fixe, and portions a bit small but fantastic in taste.
9/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
Nice little neighborhood gem
This small restaurant served well prepared pre-fixe dinners. Appetizer or salad and dessert are included in entree price. the wine list is not huge, but is well-selected. Service is consistently excellent. After dinner, it's a short stroll to the oceanfront pier. One note, the noise level is extremely high, especially on weekend nights. Tableclothes would go a long way towards dampening the din, which at times can be bothersome...
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Hidden gem by the Sea:)
We are big foodies. My meal was fantastic from the appetizer, to the braised grouper entree and finishing with the black & white creme brûlée! My husbands meal was equally wonderful. I would highly recommend it!
9/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
All three courses were very
All three courses were very good. Scallops were some of the best I've had. Attentive service.
9/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Paul was a terrific server, cared for our needs and interests. This was our third time, and it CONTINUED to be a charm!!
Food is amazing. Each flavor planned and executed flawlessly.
You have to visit. But don't take our table!!
9/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
This place is tiny, 27 is max occupancy, feels nice and cozy though. The food is so delicious! A bit pricey but it's worth it.

Food Rules the Day
Nothing special about this small restaurant in a strip shopping center with the entire front under construction except ..... the food which is exceptional. The mushroom bisque soup, the hogfish catch of the day cooked to perfection, the chocolate peanut butter pie, the orange glazed shrimp, the braised black grouper, the vegetable medley, and the moist whiskey cake ..... all simply delicious. We are familiar with the chef from his previous restaurant and he is truly one of the best in South Florida. Service met all expectations. Our first time at SEA, but we will be back. The food makes our 40 minute drive more than worthwhile.
9/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food was well-prepared ... Service was friendly but not intrusive... The shrimp bisque was delicious ... creamy but not overly rich ... we found the panini and the chicken cutlet well-prepared but a bit too salty ... the rest can be summed up as a dive serving gourmet food
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
With construction in front, it was a little difficult to find.
However, the food was well worth the trip.
The 3 course meal was great from beginning to end.
Only knock is no bar - just beer and wine.
Highly recommend if you like casual atmosphere but great food.
10/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
This restaurant is a real hidden gem. The chef is a master with soups. The shrimp bisque is the best ive ever had. Not cream based, but its super infused with shrimp flavor. All of the fish is outstanding. We had fresh hog snapper that was pan seared. Definitely one of our favorites, if not our top choice for dinner.
10/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
perfect every time
This hidden gem never disappoints! Chef Tony is running one of South Florida's best kept secrets serving high quality fresh seafood not available in many places. His 3 course price fixed meal is also one of the best deals in town. You simply cannot beat an appetizer, main course & dessert of this quality for what they charge! If you haven't been I suggest that you go try & see for yourself. You will be glad that you did!
10/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is a find. The food is exceptional, with a staff anxious to please. The prices, especially for lunch are a fantastic bargain.
10/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had an outstanding dinner at Sea. Every dish was unique and flavorful. While the decor and ambience are very plain, the food more than makes up for it. This was our first visit to Sea, and we will definitely be back.
10/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
Si, si to SEA!
This was our fourth visit to Sea, and Tony and his crew NEVER disappoint! The food was delicious (always the freshest fish and "in season" vegetables) ... impeccably prepared ... and beautifully presented. Although the parking lot out front is undergoing major reconstruction, this tiny (27-seat) restaurant was filled to capacity on a Tuesday night!
10/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Wonderful atmosphere, incredibly fresh fish!, . First time going and I'm definitely coming back. The snapper was amazing, the whiskey cake was the best!
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
I spend only a few days in the Fort Lauderdale area each year, but after reading the reviews I made it a point to visit this restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful and the staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely keep this one on the short list of places to dine in Southern FL.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Go for the food!
SEA is not a typical restaurant, it is in a row of businesses and is very small, as a consequence some tables are down the side of the bar and are under constant traffic from the servers. So bear all that in mind and then go just to enjoy quality seafood cooked perfectly. We go with that mindset and always have a great meal, the service is friendly but not polished, perhaps part of the charm. Key dishes to go for if on the menu Sea Scallops [divine] and fresh local snapper [outstanding]. The prices are not outrageous but the portions are European, perfect for a balanced three course meal.
10/25/2013 5:00:00 PM
Wonderful food always the
Wonderful food always the freshest seafood available super staff
11/13/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great food and excellent service. Very noisy. Small restaurant cute decor but so many hard to hear your dinner companions. They should try to improve the acoustics to fix that problem.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
We were taking some friends out as a "thank you" dinner and decided to try Sea because they only eat seafood. We are foodies and were all impressed and pleasantly surprised. Each of our appetizers were delicious (the fish dip was some of the best we've had), as were the fish entrees. We all ordered different desserts and shared. The Whiskey Cake was moist and delicious, and we were lucky enough to get the last Strawberry Cobbler (the special dessert of the night). We would definitely recommend it and return for the food and the service. The only warning is that it's a tiny restaurant with almost "diner-like" ambiance and is quite loud, but it's worth going.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great food and service!
Everything we tasted was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go back.
11/17/2013 4:00:00 PM
SEA is the perfect place for a wonderful dining experience. The staff is excellent and the food is artfully prepared and delicious.
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great food as usual
My fiance and I have dined at Sea a number of times. Their pri-fixe menu changes often but it always has the staple items we look forward to. Portion sizes are perfect. Desserts are rich!
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
How did we miss this place for so ?
I will probably regret writing this review because this fabulous restaurant is so small! I am sure we have driven past it 1000 times and have never considered it worth a stop because it is in a small strip area on Commercial Ave. in LBS. The attentive and earnest staff and deliciously prepared fresh food more than make up for any shortfall in ambience. One price covers your lst course, entre, and dessert. Best conch chowder I have ever had.
11/26/2013 4:00:00 PM
Paul from Sea is the best
Sea is a fantastic fish restaurant. Have no fear you meat lovers.........Sea has fantastic steaks and Veal chops. All dishes prices include an appetizer, or salad, main course, and desert, hence a price fix meal
husband is on the South beach diet, so Tony (owner chef) arranged spaghetti squash for him the have with his Tuna Bolognese instead of spaghetti. I had the Hog snapper grilled, so good.
The bread is really very tasty, but don't fill up on it, you will not want to miss a the opportunity to eat a fantastic dinning experience.
Wine is available by the glass or bottle.
We always request Paul, he makes our dinning experience a most enjoyable one.

Gourmet in a strip mall
A great meal. Everything was delicious & the presentation was beautiful. This is a 3 course fix price meal with the price being determined by the entree you choose. We felt it was a good value. The place is very small without much ambiance but definitely a place we will come back to next time we are in the area.
