Food was very good, service
Food was very good, service was poor at best, even though our server was polite it seemed she had a "memorized" speech that she gave to every table about "anything you need, just let me know" but never followed through on those very things.

Magestic mountain view
Many menu choices -- including vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free. Service was sow the night we ate there but food was good. IF the weather is warm (but NOT hot) eat on the outdoor patio and enjoy the mountain view.

We had a great experience
We had a great experience while staying at the Hilton El Conquistador resort. One night we had an appetizer and desert in the bar. The green chilli nachos were fantastic! The 2nd night we dined outdoors on the patio. Fantastic view, great food. We will be coming back

Sat outdoors on their beautiful patio and had a truly wonderful meal. there were 4 of us and all got different entrees. Each was excellent. Drink prices were unusually higher than the meal prices. Service was outstanding.

Service was excellent and
Service was excellent and the server was great in assisting with selections. the food was a little disappointing, trout was overcooked, peach cobbler soupy. The wedge salad could have been dressed a bit more. The fry bread was tough, crunchy right off however we had asked for it to be plain with the hummus on the side. When we first had it the night before it was delicious with all the toppings.
If staying at the resort I would return as there is an element of creativity.

Good Food with Beautiful view
Food and service were very good! We really enjoyed sitting out with the beautiful mountain views!

We stayed here for our daughter's graduation and used it as kind of a "base camp" to dine and relax with our extended family. We had a blast. The margaritas are the best we have ever had and drank quite a few! Thank you for making our special time even better.

Southwest Comfort Food
We were lucky to visit on a night when the outside temps were perfect and there was a lovely breeze rustling the palm trees...it felt like being in Hawaii. But the food was definitely southwestern...yet not over the top. Familiar dishes were on the menu: short ribs, steak, pork, chicken and shrimp, but the seasonings and sides expressed a regional flair by way of chilies of various types. We enjoyed the relatively economical pinot noir on the menu and appreciated seeing some Arizona wines that were available (we'd like to see more AZ wines). The four of us shared two desserts: one chocolate, the other peach cobbler; to celebrate birthdays. All in all, it was a pleasant, relaxing and easy-going evening. We'll return.

Different & Delicious
A different Tucson experience- there is something besides Mexican! We were pleasantly surprised by the different menu, but everything was tasty, from the pork dish to the trout to the excellent desert. We would definitely go back.

Very good hotel restaurant.
Chef has a sweet tooth as many dishes including chili seasoning are sweet. But some dishes are very creative and unique. Some local products.

We tried the summer special which offered 3 entrees for $39. My husband and I both had the pork tenderloin with jasmine rice. It was generous and delicious. We shared the smoked trout tostada for an app and I let my husband had it. Dessert was a shared flan which was not up to par. The other 4 inour group all had the sea bass and said it was wonderful. The surprise was the peach cobbler...a great one to share!
Music was way too loud.

This is a restuarant within the Hilton El Conquistador resort. We ate on the patio, overlooking the pool and watched the sun set over the Santa Catalina mountains as we sipped our cocktails. Wonderful! Food was good, service was great and the ambience is wonderful for dinner. My steak was excellent and just the right size.

What a find!
Amazing view and wonderful service on the patio, plus margaritas that are both unusual and delicious. Lots of lime juice and not too sweet. I would come here just for the ceviche, but there are so many reasons to choose this place. We've never had a bad meal here, and yet it's never crowded. A word to the wise, though. Don't go on a Saturday night unless you want to hear the sounds of kids' movie night with your coffee.

Good food in a hotel!
I don't find hotel restaurants necessarily inviting, but Epazote is an exception. The menu was very creative, and the food was good. Also enjoyed the summer special for two. The waitress was very accommodating when it came to substituting a vegetarian entree for one of the three main entrees. However, due to the fact that the restaurant is in a hotel, there was a large conference going on at the time that we didn't know about. As a result, the bar area of the restaurant was crowded and quite noisy. More importantly, however, parking to enter the hotel was at a premium, and there should have been more than one valet parker working. Lastly, the restaurant needs to turn down its a/c. It was freezing for the women at the table!

Short ribs, yes. Peach cobbler, no.
On my one and only visit to Epazote I had the short ribs with goats milk mashed potatoes, accompanied by roasted carrots. The short ribs were excellent... fork-tender in a slightly-spicy/slightly-sweet sauce. The mashed potatoes were creamy and satisfying, however the carrots could have used a little more cooking time. The bread basket never made its way to my table (the oversight was a surprise to my server) but after such a hearty entrée and a pint of Grand Canyon Amber, I didn't really miss the carbs.
The true disappointment of my experience was dessert. The $7.00 peach "cobbler", topped with a crumbled oat mixture tasting vaguely of burnt popcorn, was a sad ending to an otherwise enjoyable meal.

Four of us dined at Epazote on a Friday night. It was busy, which is not common locally in this part of the season. Service was excellent. All 4 meals were excellent. The server was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. The patio setting at sunset is spectacular.

Solid food, good vibe
We went for restaurant week and the deal was GREAT! Margaritas were excellent, food was excellent, and service and vibe were good. Prices on the menu looked a little on the high side, but what I would expect from a resort restaurant. The menu items looked great and we will definitely be going back to try more from the menu.

Incredible meal and service! Every meal ordered at our table was unbelievably tasty. All 5 of them! Service was top notch and we were treated with much respect.

My girlfriend and I visited Epazote during restaurant week and had a great night. We went on a Wednesday night so the the restaurant wasn't too busy and we were able to sit on the patio with a great view of the resort grounds. The restaurant menu was fairly limited but everything we tried was great! The margaritas that came with each course were also amazing, overall it was a great night!

Wonderful menu for restaurant week, killer margarita's that went so well with corn chowder, duck and pork shank. Sat at bar and just loved it! Corn chowder should be on permanent menu!

The food was good and the margaritas were well made and tasty. Good gluten free menu and very accommodating of my allergies and very willing to check with the chef and bartender for ingredients

Very good for a hotel restaurant
This restaurant is inside a hotel. We dined on Monday so the restaurant was very quiet but did nit make us feel uncomfortable. There was a 1st birthday celebration for the restaurant with a three course margarita dinner. Three margaritas for three courses, $30, very good deal. Food was very good.

October & Apps
We enjoyed the light appetizers on the bar menu. Presentation was great as was the atmosphere and service. The only issue was we changed our party size from 4 to 6 people 24 hrs before our arrival on open-table and they had no record of it. It only took 5 minutes to set up for the larger party and everything was great from there.

Very good for a nice evening
Excellent service. Main courses were very good as was my wife's arugula salad with goat cheese. I was a little disappointed with the rock shrimp ceviche appetizer which was a little heavy on the coconut milk and a little light on the spice. Very reasonably priced wine list.
