Great food and atmosphere
The waitress was very nice and friendly, great knowledge of all the food, specials and alcohol on offer. Unfortunately they were out of our desired appetizer of chicken wings, but our second choice of samosas were delicious! Our meals were all tasty (fried chicken, cheeseburger, and pie of the day) and very filling, none of us could finish so unfortunately no room for dessert. Funky and modern, but also laid back enough to have a hip sports bar feel.

The food was great- although more description on the menu would have been helpful to prevent ordering so much food. With that being said though, the food was great. Cocktails to start the meal were delicious!

Great service and great food
We had a lovely dinner on a quiet Wednesday night at the Saint in one of their great retro club booths. We shared oysters and shrimps to start which were delicious as well as the huge Tomahawk steak and some sides. Everything was fabulous and our server was very helpful and attentive. I can't wait to return to the Saint.

Went for brunch with a couple
Went for brunch with a couple of girlfriends and had a fabulous meal - and experience. We had the scones (yum!) and the breakfast salad - both were really good. My only complaint is the lack of tea. No black tea other than earl grey. Would be nice for restaurants to recognize that there are those of us who get our caffeine from tea rather than coffee.

Fantastic Sunday brunch
Sunday brunch at The Saint was a fantastic experience. My wife and I both liked it very much.
Food, ambience, service, prices. All good.

I always have a great experience
I always have a great experience at The Saint! It is one of my go tos. I love everything about it including being able to watch sporting events without offending my palate or sense of style!!!

Can't wait to return!
Our dinner was amazing from start to finish! We started with the most wonderful fresh oysters and shrimps and had the Combo platter of tomahawk steak, lamb and sausage which were also all delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was slower than normal due to it being an unusually busy Wed. night but when the bill came they even made that fade away as they took our sides off the bill to compensate for the extra long wait between apps and mains. That was not only the right thing to do but it shows that The Saint is a shiny star on Ossington!

One of the best along the Ossington strip! Quality food and great service.

I'm glad we ate here!
We were meeting a friend before going to the Jays matinee on a Saturday. We only get together a few times a year, so we wanted to have a nice brunch and not have to rush. I saw the Saint listed as one of TO's best new brunch places for 2012.
It is spacious and really nice inside. We had a great booth.
Our server was friendly and helpful, and we all enjoyed ourselves.
The food was really nice, and well presented.. my steak and eggs was borderline too salty to eat. I cut the crusty seasoned edge off and ate the rest.
My husband is a bit of a picky eater and asked if he could have an omelette that wasn't the 'omelette of the day'. (It had salmon and creme fraiche). They do not accommodate such requests, just an FYI.
Overall a nice spot.

Incredible food and perfect service
Cool vibe, incredible cocktails and amazing snacks. You'll have a fun time and the saint any day of the week.

Fun night out
My wife and I met another couple for dinner on a Sat night at the Saint. We all had a great time at this Ossington hot (cool) spot. Great servers, awesome drinks (Darker Stormier and a custom made manhattan were high points) and excellent food.

I dined at The Saint for dinner their 1st week open with a good friend. Our meal was exceptional and half off because of the occasion. With that in mind, I was anticipating the brunch items to be expensive, but found them very reasonable and on par. The 3 of us had Duck Confit scramble, Corned Beef Hash with Lobster, & Omelette of the day. All very solid dishes. The Orange Glazed timbits tasted like the deep fryer - in as that they had a savory/porky taste. The White Chocolate anglaise was weak. They were just a special that day, so I assume the sweet menu items are better. All in all, I'll return again - so glad The Saint is in my neighborhood.

Great brunch spot
Met up with a couple friends for brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We shared devilled eggs to start, which were delicious. I had the duck confit scramble. It was a heavy dish, and I was stuffed by the end of our meal. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. Great place to catch up with friends on a Sunday morning.

We had a girls night out at The Saint which was beyond our expectations. The Saint is easy to find and feels open and inviting right from the front door. The service was fantastic from beginning to end. Our food was amazing, heavy on the meat but we knew that before we arrived. Things like house made sausage and condiments add to the experience. I would love to see the on tap beer selection broaden and the noise level after 9pm increased significantly but all in all a wonderful spot for a group or a date night. I will definitely be returning to The Saint

A fun night!
Had a great night at the Saint on Saturday. Food was excellent, crowd was fun. Our server was great when he was at the table, but there was quite a bit of time in between visits as he was quite busy.
We waited a long time for drinks.

Absolutely fabulous experience!
Absolutely fabulous experience! Great food, excellent service, and great location! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service and good food
But by the time we left (at the relatively early hour of 9:30pm) I had a sore throat from yelling at my dinner companions. The euphemistic use of "energetic" as the highest "Noise Level" rating here belies that you can't enjoy a meal and catch up with friends. And it's an expensive way to sit together.
9/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food, but deafening
The food is amazing, but the noise was too much for me. Eat the amazing chicken and run.

Best eggs benedict!
The duck egg benedict was soooooo good! The eggs were poached perfectly and the crispy onions made the dish! What a delicious start to a rainy day! The homemade ketchup was also a nice surprise; very fresh!
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
What a pleasant surprise!
Great spot for brunch with a hip vibe! The brunch menu is quite different from most places with duck as feature in most of the dishes. I definitely enjoyed it and the bourbon maple bacon is to die for. Looking forward to checking out their dinner menu !

Casual stop in
Like most places in downtown Toronto, it's long and narrow, where seating can be at a premium. If you go on a Monday, it will be far less busy and reservations probably won't be necessary. The staff were busy, but friendly and the decor is definitely modern. I had the duck nuggets w/pineapple mustard and the house burger (w/bone marrow aioli, dill relish, american cheese and fries). Both dishes are highly recommended. I didn't pick "fit for foodies" because this isn't fine dining, there is no amazing presentation, etc. That said, the food my not have the latest in presentation, but it makes up for it in taste.

A Birthday to Remember
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed. The waiter was great. He recommended Matilda (a Chicago beer), it had bubbles and was a good start to the celebration. We shared the mixed grill and 2 sides (4 people) and had leftovers. The meat was cooked to perfection. Would definitely go back.

Very good dinner
Warm welcome, pleasant and competent service, very interesting food. "The basics" done in a competent and creative way.

We had an opportunity to go to a theatre production at the Lower Ossignton Theatre and wanted to do dinner prior to the show. We looked up some options and chose The Saint for what appeared to be some interesting menu alternatives (duck nuggets amongst others). It is described as a bar, but don't let that fool you. The food was outstanding. The ambience is indeed an "upscale" bar, but the menu is wonderful. Excellent selections of fish, interesting appetizers, very good red meat alternatives and unique salads. I had lamb, my wife had salmon, and my son had the steak tenders with frites. The food was outstanding. We don't have any reason to regularly head back to the Ossington neigbourhood, but we will be back - to go to The Saint.
10/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Excellent food. Some of the best service I've had in TO. It's as simple as that. Highly recommended.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I were looking
My wife and I were looking for something with a "gastro-bar" feel and this hit the spot. Even though we got there at 6:00 PM, it felt alive. Our waiter was great from start to finish. We enjoyed some fresh oysters and our main courses were exactly what we wanted. By the time we left the place was hopping without being too loud. Although a little out of my way, I will be going back.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
A very special evening
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at the Saint.
The food and service were excellent and we love the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Just the place to relax after a hard day.
We have eaten there regularly and will continue to do so.

For the fancy hipster
I've been here for brunch and dinner and loved both. The food is classic pub but elevated to the next level, executed to perfection. The maple bourbon bacon was life changing, a must try. Caesars were excellent, perfectly spicy and with a house made sausage bonus! Deviled eggs were outstanding, they've brought new life to a classic with a hint of jalapeño and some bacon crumble.
The scene is posh hipster, it's not cheap and no one here buys their clothes second hand. Private school kids and urban elite abound. But don't let this turn you off, it's warm and cozy inside and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
I can't wait to go back because I wanted to try everything on the menu!

The Saint Cheeseburger is the best burger you will EVER eat on your life.

Great spot on Ossington
I had been to the Saint once before and enjoyed it. A year later, the menu had changed a bit but the food still remains amazing....a place that serves pub like food with gourmet like touches and twists.
I would strongly suggest the pierogie starters and the soup of the day and pie as they are always homemade and delicious.

It's my second time coming to the Saint. It's the second time I have the burger. The first time I had it it was magical. Absolutely perfect. This time it came soaked in juices and it was a mess to handle. I ended up eating it with a fork. It was still delicious. The fries accompanying the fries are the best fries I've ever had in the city. My friend had the fried chicken and mac and cheese. It was amazing. It came with hot sauce that complemented the dish perfectly.
