Had a great experience at Table 50. It's on the expensive side but well worth it, especially for special occasions! It was a little loud (though it was St. Patrick's Day weekend), but the food was incredible and the service was great! I will definitely go again in the future!

The meal was excellent from the creamy, perfectly-cooked scallops appetizer, the wonderfully seasoned entrees to the chocolate mousse torte. I can't bring the scallops to mind without salivating.

Table 50, Downtown Roanoke's best
Great experience overall. Good food, ambience, and drinks. The hostess and wait staff were superb and food was delicious. We had business contacts in for the week, and went to several restaurants and they still talk about Table 50 and not hte others.

A top 5 choice in Roanoke
The food is superb. The atmosphere is somewhat intimate -- perfect for a couple or small group. You can't go wrong on the menu. Highly recommended.

Good Food Anchor in Downtown
Good menu with lots of options for almost all tastes. Gluten-free friendly. Very courteous and helpful staff. Easily accommodated last-second addition of one to party of six. An easy walk from the Hotel Roanoke and well within the vibrant scene around Center in the Square, Table 50 is highly recommended by locals as THE place to eat in Roanoke. We were not disappointed. Our out of state guests raved about the meal and the good time centered on our dining experience. Beverage service was equal in quality to the food, which was outstanding.

The food was awesome, but when we arrived at the restaurant I had made a reservation and told the waitress and she sat us at a table by the window. A few minutes later she walked over and asked for my name again. Realizing she sat us in another reservation seat she made us get up and move to the rear of the restaurant and sit at a much smaller table. It wasn't a huge deal besides people watching us have to get up and move like we were not good enough for the table. It also happened to be our engagement dinner and it upset me to have to do that.

Great food, fast & friendly service
I ordered the Grouper, my husband ordered the filet both were exceptional. The filet was a little pricey for Roanoke.

Absolutely some of the best steak I have eaten. Spectacular.

I was a little worried about spending a friend's birthday here given some of the reviews. For some reason, even as a local I had not ventured to Table 50 yet. I was expecting loud, horrible service and expensive. We actually had a wonderful night! Great service - thank you, Whitney! The food was fantastic! When my friend asked what something was on my plate, Whitney brought her a little sample for her to try for herself. She anticipated our needs and kept our water glasses full. The noise was not excessive and the pricing was not outrageous. We paid right around $100, which included two side salads, two entrees, two glasses of wine, two beers AND a tip. It was a fantastic evening!

Couldn't hear ourselves speak!
A large group at the bar were pretty noisy and as our dining table was at the front of the restaurant it was a little over the top.
Apparently this is common on a Friday night.
We were dining on a Saturday.
If you wish a quite dinner for two try somewhere else.

Great Food, debatable ambiance
Had dinner for a special occasion. My date and I both got steaks: she ordered the rib-eye; I had the filet. Both were excellent. The mashed potatoes (garlic for her, Gouda for me) were, without exaggeration, some of the best either of us had ever had. Satisfaction with the ambiance will vary based on each diner's preferences. There was a lively bar crowd as well as a number of other diners, and the noise level was certainly moderately high. For us, this was just fine, but we're in our late 20s and prefer upbeat environments rather than isolated quiet. Overall, an excellent evening.

The waiters and waitresses are all first class. The meal was wonderful, and the wine and beer selections are perfect. Best steak in Roanoke.

Table 50 - Anniversary visit
We went to Table 50 for our anniversary for the second year in a row. The experience is always great. The food and service are both exceptional and we always feel like we get what we paid for. The scallop dish on the appetizer menu is the best dish in the entire city. We always recommend it to everyone.

The food and service here was great! We had the pan seared grouper- the BEST fish I've had in the Roanoke area! Will definitely go back...OFTEN!

A Boy and his Pig
Table 50 had a special event featuring a local celebrity JD. The menu was his own and the dishes were his own creation. The food was incredible, atmosphere was energetic and over all experience was outstanding. This restaurant is a gem. Kuddos to the owner, top chef and staff for having such a well worthy event.

This place was fantastic. My fiance and I could barely decide what to order off the menus since everything looked great. We ended up carb loading and loved every minute of it. The sweet potato gnocchi in gouda cream sauce, starter was out of control delicious. The goat cheese salad was just perfect. The honey walnut pesto had a great sauce and was a perfect size. The only complaint would be the decor in the dining side (The bar was great). They need to renovate and remove the carpet, fake skylight, and paintings that don't go with anything.

Great food, great location, great ambience!!! While our waitress was good, she failed to tell us about the daily specials & lacked some enthusiasm... Nevertheless, she still delivered good service. This is our third trip there & we'll surely be back again!

Gem of a place
I took my vegetarian daughter to Table 50 for her birthday on a friend's recommendation. The atmosphere was comfortable and reasonably private; we were able to have a wonderful mother/daughter evening with quiet conversation in a beautiful setting. The spanakopita was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the sweet potato gnocchi were excellent. The best thing about dinner though was the creme brûlée done two ways we had for dessert. Spectacular! We will definetely be returning.

Amazing restaurant-by far!
Our experience at Table 50 was by far the best that I have had at any restaurant in Roanoke. Friendly and well educated on the menu. The best Creme Brulee we have ever had!

A friend brought me here for my birthday, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience was amazing, the service was great, and the food was fantastic. I had the salmon, my friend have to rebuy steak. Neither one of us were disappointed. We agreed we would be back again.

Two large groups challenged
Two large groups challenged both the kitchen & wait-staff but neither buckled. Servers went out of their way to make sure two-tops had libation & appetizers which were well made not to mention truly tasty. it took 20-30 minutes to get entrees out to the two tops but the food did not suffer by sitting under plate-lights as everything was fresh & cooked to order. Wine selection was limited but excellent in their value compared to retail pricing. Great dining experience made great by wait-staff (way to go Pete!) that was quietly efficient & worthy of praise.

The scallop appetizer was fishy but the sweet potato gnocchi was pretty good. The crawfish risotto was too spicy and by the way, it isn't the 6 dollars it says on the menu, it is 13.00. They don't tell you that. I got the grouper and it was bland but my fellow diners got the Filet Bienville and it was very good. For dessert we got the creme brulee and the chocolate mousse torte. They were both tremendously good as well. All in all it seems they have some good dishes and some not so good dishes. It is a small restaurant but very nice with the original tin ceiling. Also, the waiter was very attentive, nice to look at, and being that it was my birthday, I appreciated that very much.

Go with the specials they are Excel
We came in from out of town visiting Black Dog Salvage. We asked them for a suggestion, Mike recommended Table 50. It was walking distance from the Hotel Roanoke, where we were staying. The menu looked great. The scallop special and steak special caught our eyes. Go with the specials they are Excellent! The cream sauces are amazing. The service was fantastic. We will be back the next time we are in town.
