A must stop in Stowe
Whenever we are in town, we make sure to have at least one meal at Crop. The food is amazing. And never disappoints.

A fun restaurant with a casual
A fun restaurant with a casual but interesting setting, and very strong menu with high quality ingredients that are carefully prepared. We had the duck confit salad, which was huge (we shared between two people) and I had the grilled swordfish, which was really wonderful. Just the right amount of sauce, and roasted vegetables. My husband had scallops with risotto, which was also very good. It was too much for us to finish, even after a full day of skiing. Prices were moderate for the quality of the food.

Great food. Our party of
Great food. Our party of 6 really enjoyed the meals we ordered. General manager was fantastic. He introduced himself and gave us a brief story behind the beer making.

Casual-style food superbly executed
Though there were more elegant choices, our group was in the mood for burgers and fish and chips. I commented that those were the best French fries I'd had in a long time, whereupon my son said his burger was the best burger he has EVER had. The fish itself also excellent, crispy on the outside and moist inside. The cheddar and ale soup was also delicious.
Friendly service. Attractive restaurant interior, though we were there for lunch and ate outside.

Gem In Stowe
I have eaten at this restaurant several times and the food has always been exceptional. The Executive Chef has a knack for making a menu that will appeal to all different types of people. The service has been, without exception extraordinary. I have always been greeted with a smile and the wait staff has always been very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone either staying overnight in Stowe or just passing through.

We ate our way through Vermont
This was one of many wonderful meals we had while on vacation. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife and daughter were with me. We started with the HOUSE ROASTED OLIVES andDAILY PICKLE which were very good. The pickle included fiddleheads which had a very distinct and interesting taste that my daughter and i both enjoyed (wife would not eat any of it). My entree was the GRILLED TUNA NICOISE which had an amazing piece of tuna and very fresh salad. My daughter (21) had the MUSHROOM RISOTTO which we all thought was very good. Oops I cannot remember my wife's meal except it was awesome when i tasted it. Really enjoyed this meal and look forward to eating here again when in the area.

Good food reasonable price
Lots of tasty vegetarian/vegan options but some misnamed as they do not taste as expected such as the vegan risotto which tasted like an excellent rice dish but had none of the starchy/creaminess texture one would associate with risotto. Olive appetizer and daily pickle appetizer were particularly good. While the 12 dollar scallop tasted great, the four tiny scallops made it seem not like a great value. The fish and chips were also a hit.

Hope this place does well
This restaurant isn't Hen of the Woods or Michaels, but not too far behind. It's menu is interesting and a huge step up from 95% of the restaurants in Stowe which menus are pretty much the same amongst them. The service was great; they were very accommodating in all respects. The wine list was notable and at reasonable prices. In fact, for the quality of the food and thought having gone into the menu, it was very reasonably priced. The only downside was the fact that the dining room is a bit sterile...just a bunch of tables and no real charm or interest. Could be quieter with something on the floor to damper the noise. But overall, a terrific experience.

Fresh & delicious
Had read the mixed reviews so didn't know what to expect. We were blown away by the quality of the food! Everything was fresh and
Flavourful from the taco appetizer to the risotto to the pork bellies. For dessert we had blueberry pie that was stacked 2 inches
High with fresh blueberries . Yummie! I give this restaurant two thumbs up! We will be back next time we visit Stowe.

We had a great night at your restaurant on Saturday night. The wait staff and bar staff were excellent, as was the food. The bar tender, Jason, was absolutely outstanding!

Good beer and good food
We enjoyed a very nice dinner for seven on a Tuesday evening. Service was good, and the food came promptly and (in the case of the entrees) simultaneously. With a single exception, the food was quite good. The fried pickles are a must. The scallops were the only disappointment. We had beer samplers and tried all of the house brews. Quite nice, especially the wheat beer. We ate inside due to the size of our party, but the outdoor area is lovely. We will definitely be back.

A gem in Stowe
Crop has evolved into a culinary gem. Clever menu and superb food at reasonable prices for this quality. A very professionally run restaurant that reminds one of Napa valley.

Glad we stopped for dinner
We were in Stowe for the week and ate at several restaurants in the area; handsdown Crop was the best! We had a choice of dining areas-the outside patio, the lounge or the bar. We chose to dine in the lounge area. Starters consisted of the cheddar lager soup and the spring garden salad. The Beer battered fish and chips was a huge portion and the hand cuts fries were delicious. They didn't taste like the everyday fries served elsewhere. The Goat cheese ravoli with spring veggies mix was outstanding! They melted in your mouth. Dessert topped of the meal...but since we all were abit full we shared The Chocolate Devil Cake..a chocolate lovers dream!! Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. We would not hesitate to return to Crop.

My entire party was thrilled with the spectacular food we enjoyed at the Crop Bistro in Stowe, Vermont. We enjoyed a wide range of salads (the Kale Caesar is outstanding!), from fresh tomato caprese to a classic wedge salad to a lovely gold beet salad with chevre (did I mention the Kale Caesar?). This is a restaurant that provides a relatively condensed menu, but makes sure that everything that comes out of the kitchen is superb. We ordered a wide variety of entrees, and everyone was very happy with their dinners. And the desserts! The coconut cream pie was the very best I have ever eaten anywhere. Anywhere! Thanks for all of this!

Food was good, but not great. Prices are high for what you get.

Interesting menu of unique
Interesting menu of unique combinations and delicious flavors. Foodies will love...but really there is something for every taste here. Beautiful presentations of dishes...the food was superb! So difficult to choose what to order! Serving of the first course was a little slower than expected; however, it was nice not to be rushed through dinner. Prices were moderate...as more casual, lighter dishes were offered at dinner time.

Great find in Stowe
Good food, good service, excellent beers & ales brewed on site.

Our meal was outstanding with a very unique mushroom risotto, no butter or cream. Delicious. Also had a portobello muffuletta which was huge. Very good service, too.

The Crop was wonderful in regards to having options. I do not eat meat and cannot eat soy or dairy, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the risotto was an option.

Overall a great experiance except thd waiter did not tell us the 20% tip was added to the bill for a large group.

Decor/atmosphere didn't match
Decor/atmosphere didn't match clientele, romantic atmosphere but full of families and loud children. However, still a great spot-love the beer and they brew it on site! Will definitely go again.
