Excellent food and service.
Excellent food and service. A little pricey for Livermore. Very quiet, not many others while we were there, but that was at 5:30.

Ultimately the best place
Ultimately the best place to eat amazingly delicious food and to enjoy the beautiful ambiance. I truly love to eat here whenever I am in town and highly recommend it to everyone.

We have been meaning to try El Sacromente since they opened, but we never got around to it, until this weekend that is.
WOW. Amazing food, great service, good prices. I could not be more pleased with our experience, you MUST try their Chicken Mole!

I just love this place!
El Sacromonte is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I love sitting outdoors on the streets of Livermore, people watching and, from time to time, vintage cars rolling by. That happened to be the case when we visited two nights ago. It was a warm evening and the people were out on the streets, shopping and dining, and at the same time a number of vintage cars were driving by.
My wife and I tried the Tres Salsa Steak which gives you the option of different types of steaks, along with three different sauces. I had the ribeye steak while my wife had the filet mignon. Both were tender and tasty and the accompanying sauces just added to the overall experience. We also tried the Roquefort soup, which is a must-have.

The food was very good. The service a little slow, and slightly deficient. No offer of after-dinner coffee, for instance. But the waiters were polite. As the evening went on, it got noisier and noisier - it's a barn of a place with a high ceiling.

The Chicken with Mole Sauce
The Chicken with Mole Sauce was outstanding. I organized a business group from out of town and this was just delightful. It was a memorable meal.

This is one of the hidden
This is one of the hidden gems in the burgeoning Livermore restaurant scene. Outstanding steakhouse with a Mexican twist to how they prepare their entrees and appetizers. This is authentic food direct from Guadalajara, not your standard Mexican fare. Best margaritas in town and a very hip bar scene. Try El Sacromonte, you will not be disappointed.

Our friends visiting from
Our friends visiting from LA were extremely impressed with the food and the atomsphere. We had the lamb shank and ribs. The food was excellent as always. Service was great and our waiter was very attentive.

An Excellent Find
El Sacramonte is an excellent restaurant with many choices. The staff is friendly and the service is impeccable. This is one of the best dining establishments in the Tri-Valley area and I plan to come here more often. This place is a gem of a restaurant and look forward to visiting this location more often.

Crazy good soup
The blue cheese soup is AMAZING, my husband had ordered the chorizo appetizer and he ended up dipping them in my soup like it was fondu.....yummy! Only miss as the bread they brought to the table...it was dry, and not warm, making it impossible to spread the cold stone butter. They need some type of warm fresh bread, with a chili flake olive oil.

Very good. The glazed duck was superb. Mango ceviche also great, if a little light on (identifiable) fish and served with a grocery store, pre-fried tortilla shell. What's with that? Make a tortilla! I do at home!
The chicken mole was good, but not great. Slightly bland, the grandma's taste buds must have faded over the years!
Service was perfectly attentive. Neighboring restaurants packed, this one 50% on a Friday. Not sure why. Way better than the American fair up and down the street.

We've eaten here three times now and each time the food has been excellent!

Yum and Fun
Bought a LocalGruv deal that lead us here. We got to sample wines and food before we ordered. WHat a great concept. they should offer that all the time. Nice wine list, enjoyed the Fenestra wine but for a Friday night, I am afraid the bottle of Argentinian wine had been opened several days before: my glass of wine had that "been opened" taste. I could not complain though as the music was great (r&b and soul from the 80's!) and my 5 year old patiently sat thru our 2 hour dinner drawing and enjoying the music and his cheese quesadilla and ice cream sunday! Try the chicken Mole. Next time I will get the pork Shank, it was amazing!

Unique for the 'burbs
I have been to El Sacramonte several times and each time has been tasty and enjoyable. Terrific margarita and tequila list, unique decor and delicious menu items. A reservation is helpful on weekends but during the week it was no problem.

They have a great happy hour.
They have a great happy hour. We both ordered the “AZTEC” tortilla soup as appetizers. Great flavor and it's poured in your bowl when they arrive at the table. Our friends had the ARGENTINIAN STYLE CHORIZO, they loved it. For my entree I ordered the CEVICHE “DE MANGO” and to my surprise it wasn't fishy at all. It's one of my favorite items. My husband ordered the 10oz Filet Mignon and it was cooked perfect! (The price for a 10oz is unbelievable). You go any where else and they charge you a min of $35 for 6oz. This is our new favorite spot! The chef even came out and asked how everything was. Alfredo was our waiter, he awesome!

Second visit this week
I love this restaurant. It's one of Livermore's unsung gems. I had lunch here over the weekend, which wasgreat. Then, I brought two guests along who had been wanting to try it but never had. They both loved it. We had excellent meals along with some great wine and good service. It's a treat, when the weather's nice to sit outside and enjoy the vibrations of the city.
The chef is an artist. All food is delivered with a sense of artistry and symmetry about it. On top of that it's good! Although this restaurant can be mistaken for a Mexican restaurant, it is not your typical fare of burritos and tacos. Try it, you'll like it.

Went to celebrate my son receiving his degree. We had different varieties of steak and numerous appetizers. The ceviche was wonderful--mango added just the right touch. Both beef and chocken empanadas were excellent-the corn empanada was the best. The ambience transports you to Guadalajara. Outstanding food and superb presentation. Outstanding service. Please frequent this restaurant as it suffers some from being right next to the Ale House.

Great food, great service
We certainly felt very welcomed and attended to without over doing it. Everyone was cheerful and eager to please. Had the ceviche, delicious and generous, even at lunch time. The salads were fresh and delicious. The creme brulee (sp?) yum yum yummy! Plan on going for dinner. Prices are moderate.

Good job Sacromonte!
I took a special girl there on our first date. You guys made me look real good. Thank you.
The ambiance, the friendly and classy service and the food, oh the food, out of this world.
We will be recommending you to all of our friends and family. You might be catering our wedding.

wonderful dining experience!
we made our first visit to El Sacromonte and enjoyed the experience a great deal. my ribeye with 3 salsas was outstanding, as were the sides that came with it. my wife had the pork medilions and they were outstanding -> tender, and in a very tasty sauce. we ate outside on a nice night. service was very good. our servers were prompt and very friendly. i thought the meal was priced right was the quality of food ($80 for dinner for two, with appetizer and two beers). we will be back.

Been here twice now and truly enjoyed the experience both times! Great tapas and fabulous entrees!

One of the two best in town!
I love this restaurant! This and one other in Livermore are my favorites! Why? The chef. Rodrigo, the chef at El Sacromonte, is adventuresome, creating unusual tastes for seemingly everyday dishes. And, the presentation is always outstanding.
We had a Saturday lunch, outside under an umbrella, watching the world go by. I always start with the roquefort soup. I am not a soup eater, but I always have "the roquefort". The taste is fabulous. My wife had the ribeye tacos, which are always a treat. I tried the ribeye sandwich, which seemingly is an ordinary, run of the mill, sandwich. Not so! Rodrigo created a spread of cabbage and carrots in a sauce that, when tasted, seemed like Nirvana. This is good!!!
This place is a treasure.

We purchased a "daily deal" for this restaurant so were not expecting too much. What a great surprise we had. The food was very, very good and the atmosphere was fun and kid-friendly (we had our 6 and 8-year-old daughters in tow). They had really nice meals for kids and we were all impressed. We will definitely visit this place again.

Nice & casual
For our first trip here, I was pleased with the food and atmosphere, however, the service was wonderful. Left very satisfied.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food was excellent, wine pours liberal, however the live music while great was a bit loud for dining conversation. Would recommend highly, but would eat outside next time. Definitely will be going back.

A fabulous dinner outdoors
A small group of friends dined here for the first time, and we all loved it. We dined outside and had a very leisurely meal with interesting choices of wine, margaritas, or beer by glass, delicious food beautifully presented, and fabulous desserts, with quiet and intelligent waiters. I never even saw the inside of the restaurant, so I can't extend my comments beyond our own wonderful experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list as a special place to bring people.

Nice change from the usual
Nice change from the usual menus in the area. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.
8/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
Unassuming from the outside, but from the wide variety of cocktails to the amazing foods - both taste and presentation were excellent. We went here for our anniversary dinner and were surprised at how reasonable the price was considering the amazing meal. If you're looking in downtown Livermore, check this place out.

Latin Flair for Food in Livermore
First let me express the joy I had spending time in the combined open dining room and bar. The eclectic decor of lighting, mirrors, colors, wood, and most of all the subjects in the paintings are beyond delightful !
A Steak house with Fresh Salmon, chicken, pork and yes, LAMB on the menu ! l wanted to order almost the entire menu, really. Deliciousa of course from the talented chef Rodrigo.
I could eat there nightly but I live too far away. I shall return on my next visit to the Tri-Valley.

Awesome food :)
The food was amazing! Latin flavors, excellent presentation, very yummy! My hubby & I ordered the calamari appetizer & that was just "ok". We both had the Tres Salsa main dish - hubby got the rib eye and I had the filet. Both cooked perfectly & the steak melts in your mouth. Served w/mashed potatoes & fresh steamed veggies. The service at first slow, but it was obvious one server was new. We dined outside. If I had to choose again, I'd go w/staying indoors. It was nice to have the downtown Livermore scenery, but there was a lot of street activity (cars + people), which normally isn't a big deal, but not very romantic/private. HUGE list of margaritas & wine list! Overall very very good experience! We'll be back. :)

Enjoyed outdoor dining during the Livermore car show...700 vintage cars on display.
This is one of the towns restaurant gems. Well prepared, imaginative treatments to everyday food. The chef, Rigo, is a master of imagination when it comes to taste combinations. For lunch, the ribeye sandwich with a sauce Rigo whips up, of cabbage and carrots is messy but outstanding. Also try the mole chicken sandwich. The roquefort soup is wonderful.
Service is good. Staff is very friendly. One of Livermore's two best restaurants.

Little Jem in Livermore
This restaurant gives you a warm comfortable feeling when you walk in. The bar is very sophisticated along with the rest of the decore. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and shared an interesting story about cactus with us. He was very charming. We ordered steak and it was cooked to perfection. This is definitely a place for sophisticated adults to relax, enjoy conversation and a good meal. The king of rock n' roll was even there enjoying himself.

I was expecting Mexican Food. I got one of the best Filets I've had. Mashed potatoes, salad, vegetables, oh and some salsa on the side for a little Mexican flair. The seafood looked great too.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our dining experience was wonderful...I love that the food selections are so different, very creative...it's food you just don't get everywhere. The sauces are outstanding! I had the Queen Elizabeth Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, my son had the beef medallions with another very good sauce and my husband had the duck...all were 5 star!!!

El Sacromonte Rocks!
Went to El Sacromonte for the first time. We never knew it was there. Food was fabulous. What I liked most is that it was different, bringing in flavors of Spain to a steakhouse. Genius! Especially, in Livermore where it is not necessarily known for a variety of cuisines.

Great mix of Latin and. Steak
Our first time at Sacromonte. Great mix of Latin food with steakhouse dishes. Great bar scene.

I dined with a long time friend for a birthday celebration. There were many wonderful menu choices but I chose the lamb shank. It was fantastic. The service and ambiance were great.
