This was our first time here,
This was our first time here, and we left wondering why it took so long to eat here! First, the food was really good. We split the spinach/strawberry salad, which was light and refreshing. Our entrees were the bucatini and the orrichetti, both excellent but large portions. We could have split one entree. The bread was excellent and they cheerfully refilled it 3 times for us. The server was fine, but did not give any suggestions or feedback on the menu, although she did give a good wine suggestion when asked.

We always enjoy Trattoria
We always enjoy Trattoria Tosca - the food is tasty, the service is always friendly (if a little casual), and the setting is fun.
We had a party of five at the booth by the kitchen stairs as the window location previously offered was a bit drafty. Seating was a little tight but we made it work and the staff helpfully took coats to give us some more space. Everyone enjoyed their food (finished all around, even those who routinely leave something on the plate) - all pasta dishes with salads to start. My strozzapretti with pork sugo was nothing short of delicious with the al dente pasta the perfect complement to super tender pork.
My only grievance with the evening was with the $8 arugula & fennel salad - very tasty but tiny portion.

We selected this restaurant
We selected this restaurant because it was the only one in that area that accepted reservations. And it was great. Our waitress was energetic and well versed in the ingredients and preparation.
The food was excellent and there was no rush. We brought our own wine but I am not sure what the corkage fee was.
Terrfifc food, great service in a cute dining room.

Table for Six
There were some flaws in the service - from confidence of server's experience - but generally, our service was good and our party had a very good experience. The food was wonderfully prepared and nicely presented. The Bruschetta was a great little surprise! I discovered a tender, nicely seared scallop on a crisp'd crostini. The duck was flavorful, with a crispy skin - which made everyone at the table moan with delight. The oriechette was served with a delicious italian sausage and bite-firm broccoli, in what I assume was a beurre blanc. I just finished the left-overs for lunch. We'll go back. The food was very good, with good portions and nicely presented. The wine selection had depth. Service was happy and helpful.

Had a very enjoyable dinner.
Had a very enjoyable dinner. Good food, good (hard to find) wine, good service....highly recommend!

I wasn't aware of this restaurant, until I searched for "Linden Hills Restaurants" online. We were able to get in on a Friday night. What a great find! It's a lovely restaurant, attached to Turtle Bread on 44th Street. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. We were seated in a back corner, but were approached immediately by a friendly server. We ordered a bottle of wine which was listed as a special - which was wonderful. The menu is a la carte, and not cheap, but the food was wonderful, and well worth the cost. Everything we ordered was lovely in presentation, and phenomenal in taste. At the risk of losing a wonderful new place to the crowd of people who should be going there, I'd say -- GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

We booked a 7pm Saturday night
We booked a 7pm Saturday night reservation. As first timeers we weren't sure what to expect, especially with our guests from Santa Barbara who were use to great restaurant options. The food choices were excellent. Well beyond traditional pastas. The presentation was impressive. We had three servers attending to us and they accomodated a few quirks of our guests, on wine selection, with ease. We had a sunny window table which we chose over the more casual outside, sidewalk tables. I'm not sure how we got in at 7pm on Saturday with just 24 hours notice but we were all glad we did.

Quiet evening dinner
My party dined at TT around 6PM weekday. Only a few tables occupied; so we had a pleasant and quiet meal. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our time together.

there must be some plants or candles they can put outside to help repel the bugs that ate us as much and as passionately as we ate our dinner. The food was amazing and the service very young, but Minnesota Nice and polite. AC inside made it much too chilly to enjoy...otherwise a delightful summer evening made this new find very worthwhile

Enjoyable first experience
Our first experience with Trattoria Tosca was very enjoyable. The pear salad and the beet salad were very well prepared and not overwhelmed by dressing. Each is large enolugh to split for those so inclined. The chicken and hanger steak entrees were delicious and prepared perfectly. The accompanying roasted vestables with the steak were excellent. Again, each entree was enough for two, so you can either split or have some to take home. The wine by the glass selection was very nice and each choice was very flavorful. And Tosca gives full value in each glass with a larger than expected quantity for the price. We will return to Tosca to enjoy a relaxing evening in a very charming environment.

Birthday celebration at Tosca
I recently returned to this quiet neighborhood restaurant
because I had a wonderful pasta meal once before. I had the halibut fixed prix dinner and it was terrific. The restaurant is very charming and food is great! Not much traffic on a Wednesday evening, but don't overlook this restaurant!

Okay for the price
I had pasta, it was pasta. Not super, a bit on the expensive side. You're paying for ambiance. Its a good date spot.

Friday night dinner
Perfect night to be outside. beet salad was divine. pasta with shrimp was very good but not fabulous like the beet salad.
I almost asked to have it warmed up because it wasn't served hot.

Food was very good. Homemade pastas delish. Wait staff was very pleasant and polite. We were there almost until close and they didn't get crabby with us at all like some places do. It's in kind of a hidden spot, a nice find. The only downfall I could see (and this is completely out of the restaurant's control) is the noise level from the traffic if you're sitting outside, at least for dinner. Traffic did let up as it got a little later in the evening. Overall I do recommend it. =)

Fresh - Delish - Plentiful
The home made pasta was a hit. We had a table of 8 and sampled many menu items. The wine list was wonderful. The Rufino Chianti and the Amarone were both lovely. We had a "foodie" with us and he had only great things to say. And he is very hard to impress.

We had a lovely dinner, ordering
We had a lovely dinner, ordering from a fairly focused menu that still had a number of interesting choices. The halibut special was exquisite, and my date really enjoyed her gnocchi. We topped it off with a cooke from Turtle Bread next door!

23rd Wedding Anniversary
My husband and I wanted to go out to a unique place away from the Suburbs of Minnetonka, yet not downtown. We useed to live near the Linden Hillls area, so when saw this restaurant on Open Table, and looked at the menu, we thought we'd give it a try! We both loved our salads and our pasta selections. We then went over to Turtle Bread and bought some desserts and coffee to go! Loved our night, and now are planning on coming back with some friends!

love this place
This is a great little unpretentious neighborhood restaurant. The food is always excellent, big pours on the wine, and friendly service. Mix and match the "sides" for a nice variety and ample portions.

Great find for Italian
First visit and we will definitely be back again. They recently added one of our favorite wines to the wine list. Everything was flavorful but not overpowering and prepared with great attention to detail. Felt like a wonderful night in Italy enjoying the evening with friends. Glad we ventured out of our typical dining pattern to try a new spot.

Fun Neighborhood Restaurant
Went on a Saturday night in a group of 7 including 4 kids between ages 9-11. Located in a really quaint neighborhood just west of Lake Harriet. Surprised that at 7:15pm the place wasn't that busy and that it was as easy as it was to get an Open Table time during Saturday peak dining hour. About 2/3 full, but accoustics made it appear more full. Breads from the adjacent, and I understand affiliated, bread bakery were excellent. Food was very good. Had the strozzapretii (pork sugo) which was excellent. The artichoke dip was also very good. Prices pushing the high side for Italian, but again, worth it.

Cozy & Friendly Atmosphere
This is the 2nd time we've been here. 1st time, we sat outside on their deck.. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is amazing and the service and ambiance are friendly and quaint. Whether your looking for a place to take a date, dine and catch up among friends or have a quiet night out, this is the place to come enjoy a fabulous glass of wine and fresh tasting dishes.

A wonderful selection of appetizers, several tempting pasta choices, and, sadly, no room for dessert after our delicious meal! Looking forward to returning soon.
The dining area has flexible seating capabilities, so groups of 8 to 10 could be easily accommodated.
