Great new place to try
They have done a great job remodeling and adding new space, both indoors and out. Lots of variety on the menu. Will definitely be going back.

We liked the ambience of the
We liked the ambience of the restaurant but did not like the high tops in the middle of the restaurant. It was distracting and you are looking at peoples behinds. The appetizers were very good but our meals were fair. The halibut was very dry and the stuffed shrimp was bland. The music was also too loud during dinner hours.
6/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was fantastic, the Red Snapper was some of the best we'd ever had. The sushi is also fantastic. The restaurant was a little bit loud but that was probably due to the 12 person bridal shower that was several bottles of wine deep going on a few tables over. Service was attentive but relaxed, we were allowed to sit and talk well after we had paid and she even continued to refill our waters.

Definitely worth it!
Wanted to treat my mom to a wonderful dinner while she was in town. We decided to dine at Copperfish and had a great experience! Our server Ashley was a sweetheart and attentive, but not overbearing. We started with the calamari... It was amazing! We also got raw oysters, able to choose a selection from the east coast and west coast! I had the shrimp and scallops with lentils; every component cooked perfectly. My mom had a fried grouper sandwich that she loved as well. Didn't have the room for dessert but they definitely had some yummy summer selections i would want to try during my next visit. The fresh seafood concept was needed on SoHo-- I recommend it to seafood lovers and their counterparts, great selection of food!!

One of my new favorites
Excellent food and great space. Our drinks were just as phenomenal as the food. The food came out very quickly and tasted amazing. This would definitely be one of my new favorites in town!
7/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was superb, as was the service. We both had the Halibut, which was devine! Expertly prepared, with a scrumptous, delicatre sauce.

This is what you look for....
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. As long as you are not trying to have an intimate conversation(it's not just "energetic" it's downright loud), you will love this place.
When I travel I try to find interesting not overly priced places and this is one of the best. Go.

Great Dinner Service was superb
We had Emily as a server she was tremendous.
Food was something different for a change of pace
from Tampa's usual. The kind of place you find in
a big city or Portland. You won't be sorry.

Have been a few times now and loved it each time. The happy hour menu is great and a great value. The only criticism I have is $5 valet.
7/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is a great restaurant and wonderful food. Everything was fresh caught that day and you can tell in the taste and quality of the food.

Went here with a group of 4 to celebrate a special occasion on a Monday evening, and we feel like we hit the jackpot! Amazing food and outstanding service. LOVED the ambiance and decor. The grilled oysters were outstanding, and we had the Scottish salmon and black grouper, both fantastic! The elixirs were amazing...can't remember what mine was called, but it had blackberries and peaches in it. I'm definitely getting it again next time I visit! Copper Fish is one of my new favorite restaurants and I can't wait to go back!
7/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food is excellent. I had a wonderfully prepared Salmon dish with garlicky spinach and a twice baked potato, all prepared to perfection. My son loved his grouper and particularly enjoyed the truffle grits.
The servers were attentive and helpful without being a nuisance.
Be aware that prices are high. And I prefer quieter restaurants.
7/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great mix of seafood dishes, raw bar, steaks too. Tasty cocktails. Knowledgeable staff. Beautiful decor. Comfy booths with pillows. Option to eat outside. Angry lobster was fantastic. Everything so fresh!
7/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
I cannot express enough that the food is excellent and that the new decor of this restaurant is outstanding. We live in the neighborhood and we were excited when Copper Fish opened up. We went to the restaurant the first time within the first few weeks of its opening. The food was above and beyond our high expectations. The server was great, although he explained that they were still working through some issues, which you'd expect in a new restaurant. Subsequently I heard from others that the service was questionable. Our second trip to the restaurant confirmed what we heard others saying. Although the staff was friendly, there was tremendously more confusion on their part than you would expect in a restaurant of this quality.

Delicious food & atmosphere
This was my second time bringing friends to copper fish, and it was a big hit both times. The food is amazing. The service is great. The inside design makes dining a little loud but is beautiful. I LOVE this restaurant- it's becoming one of my favorites in Tampa.

We will go back
BEST part of the evening - Betsy was an excellent server. She was very attentive and enthusiastic about the menu. The Lobster Roll and the Choco Taco is a MUST. The halibut was excellent and the truffled grits with the black grouper were very good.
OKAY part of the evening - The salads were adequate - nothing to write home about. Wine selection by the glass was very limited.
NOT SO GREAT part of the evening - The party of 6 seated directly behind us were talking so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. As soon as they left, the ambience improved 1000%. The double-thick pork chop (requested medium) was beyond rare as he got closer to the bone. Not so good for pork. The filet mignon was average - not bad, but not great.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had a very nice dinner. The restaurant is very nicely decorated; the chalk boards are a nice touch. The menu has a very nice selection - they pride themselves on day boat fish which is great. However, it means they may be out of what you want, so dine early. The appetizer - gulf shrimp skillet - was delicious, however you get a ton of delicious broth and vegetables with it and then they charge you extra money for 2 more pieces of bread - that seems a tad ridiculous when you are going out to dinner and spending $70/person.
The service was good - he appeared to be knowledgeable, but could not really answer questions outside of what was rehearsed.
The drinks at the bar was fine, but the service at the bar was slow to start.

Great Addition to SOHO
Heard mixed reviews on this restaurant so we chose other local spots over this one. Can't believe there were any reviews that were not 4-5 stars. This place is incredible. Is has been totally renovated and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The menu had so many things to chose from that it was tough to decide on one item. Go with the mixed seafood skillet for starters and then best of luck with your entree as it all looked great. The bar staff could not be nicer. Very welcoming and helpful with drink selections. This place needs to be on your short list, very short list.

We nave been to Copper Fish
We nave been to Copper Fish since it opened. We really enjoy the decor and the friendly service. The food is also always good. However we would enjoy it even more if they had a better wine list. We always take our own wine as their selection is very poor. Also, they keep trying with the bread and still have not found a good one. My suggestion would be for them to buy the bread directly from Pane Rustica that has the best bread in town. Overall Copper Fish is a great addition to South Tampa.

We had a great time. We enjoyed
We had a great time. We enjoyed the oyster appetizer especially because they were remarkable and we found a pearl

CopperFish lives up to hype
This restaurant had great food, device and ambience. We were very impressed and will definitely be back.

Awesome New Find!!
Copper Fish was recommended to us by friends and we are so glad they did. Drinks were great and the food was wonderful. Our waiter was well-versed on the menu. The menu had many selections. What we ordered was super and well liked by all. Hope to return soon.
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had a blast at Copperfish on Saturday night. The food was fun and the atmosphere was perfect. I recommend the oyster shooters. They were amazing. It was a little loud but that was to be expected for a Saturday night. Overall great experience.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was my first visit to Copper Fish and I was very excited to try it. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was that the restaurant smelled like something was burning and the smell intensified as we were there. We both ordered sandwiches, which were very good. My husband said his lobster roll was one of the best he's ever had. Both sandwiches came with kettle chips, which were very burned. For dessert, our waiter recommended the Chaco Taco and since I'm a chocolate lover, we decided to order it. I was really good, but when we got the bill and saw that it cost $12, we were shocked. $12 for a scoop of ice cream covered in crunchy stuff and served on top of some burned chocolate? Crazy!
8/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
We stopped in for a light dinner and we really enjoyed the shrimp skillet and the crab cake!
8/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
Saw a different side this visit!
Food was great as always! The best part though, was trying a ton of their handcrafted cocktails! Every one of them was spot on (and we tried about 6 or 7... hehe) Copperfish has yet to disappoint; every person that has joined me has loved the food and drinks as well!
9/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
Had one of the best meals that I've ever had in a long time the littlenecks are amazing and the seasonings they used in every dish were quite unique and flavorful
the only issue it was way too noisy could barely Have a conversation
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
I was very pleased with my experience at Copper Fish. We ended up sitting at the bar. because it was a busy night.
didn't mind, I will go again and experience the dining area.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fabulously fresh fish
Almost every fish item on the menu is caught daily and you can taste it. We had the scallops and the snapper - both were outstanding. The service is excellent as the waiter Nicholas is very knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating. They've only been open 5 months but it wasn't obvious. The spinach salad is the best I've ever had. They get all of their greens from local, organic growers. We had only 2 complaints - the wines by the glass menu is small and didn't have a cabernet and the odor from the smoker in the kitchen is overpowering. The food, however, is good enough to tolerate the smoke odor and we will be back for the amazing seafood!
9/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
The service and food were all perfect. We had an early dinner (5pm on a Sunday) so the place was virtually empty. Everything was very fresh and tasted like it was locally grown/ organic but I don't know if it is advertised as such. The dessert was one of the most incredible ones we have ever tasted.
9/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food, especially the black
Food, especially the black grouper, was very good. Disappointed in the oysters which were a featured item. A bit noisy. Noted that this was a birthday dinner in my reservation but was never asked if we wanted to do something special or acknowledge the birthday person.
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
Full of life - great find. We all tried a little off each other's plates and we were all impressed. Would definitely go back.
9/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great fresh fish
The grilled oysters, muscles, and cucumber Collins are to die for. Excellent entrees as well.
9/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
It mine and my husband one year anniversary dinner, we were both very pleased with the food and service!
10/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fun and Delicious
Seated on the comfortable outside patio! Cute decor- upscale yet borderline rustic beachy. Decor fit the menu. Solid wine selection. Mixed skillet was well done with mussels, clams, and shrimp. Good flavors. Skip the tequila oyser shooter- it was a cute presentiment but oyster flavor was hidden in the tequila. More like a shot. Black grouper was Outstanding on top of rich truffle grits (hot can you go wrong). Everyone else loves their dishes. Got right in Tuesday night at 9pm. Imagine would be busy and nosy on weekends.
10/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
interesting night out
Having wanted to go for a long time food and amosphere exceeded expectations but large noisy parties and service or lack thereof thereof was disappointing and inexplicableta
10/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Noisy but food was great
We found the restaurant to be noisy, which made it hard to have a conversation with the couple joining us for dinner. And, we were placed at a high top table that was not comfortable in sitting for dinner. I would have thought with our reservation we would have been offered the choise of a more desirable booth or even outside. There was a large table next to us and they were loud, too. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with food selections and offered wine specials. The food was very good and the saving grace of our entire meal experience.

My wife and I had an outstanding time on our Anniversay dinner date. Copper Fish went above and beyond in every category! We will definetley be going back again and I have already started to spread the word about how great this place is.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great first experience!
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. My wife and I shared an entree, and it was perfectly presented on 2 plates(unlike some restaurants which are not as accomadating.) The other couple was equally satisfied with their food. Our server was excellent and helpful. This was our group's first visit to Copperfish, and we will be back!
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Had an enjoyable time! Enjoyed happy hour in the bar; food and drinks were great as always!

Unexpected ambience...worth a visit! Excellent service...
11/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good food, good service, a bit loud
Went here for dinner with another couple. The service was efficient without being intrusive. The food was good (I wouldn't get the calimari again though-too greasy or the fried chocolate ice cream-sounded better than it tasted) but everything else was tasty. The restaurant can be loud though so you have to request a quiet spot.
11/1/2013 5:00:00 PM
We did try the Bloody Mary...describing it took up a good third of the brunch menu, so we expected them to be fabulous. The first one was so full of ice that it was really watery after the first couple of sips, and pretty anaemic overall. So we eventually had another, and asked for light ice, which did help.
Food was really good, service was a bit confusing since two or three different people showed up at different times, but they were friendly and cheerful.
Great place for outdoor dining, very pleasant on a nice day with a fountain in the pool and lots of tropical greenery. I'd go back again.
11/2/2013 5:00:00 PM
Cozy, great fun and different.
Fun energetic place and same time relaxed. Smells great inside the
Dining room from the beautiful huge wood burning oven.
It also makes the place exciting and adds to the ambiance.
Great drinks and very good food. I don't normally drink mixed drinks -
But cucumber Bombay gin - lemonade drink was fantastic.
The booths are kind of strange. The seats are at a further distance than what is normal
And the seats lean backwards a bit. Makes it a bit odd to connect to the person
Across the table since distance is far and one has to sit on edge to connect and eat.
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
A little smokey but delicious
The food was amazing and I loved the decor, the only negative was how smokey it was inside from the grill. My eyes were burning a little from all the smoke and we went home smelling like a fire. I would definitely go back again soon!
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was great! I had
The food was great! I had the roasted chicken, my husband had the Filet. Overall great experience.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
We are out of....
I selected a cocktail from their small but good cocktail list. A few minutes later the server came back and said they are not making that drink any longer. Later when I selected a glass of wine (from their November menu) to have with dinner the server told me they were out of that wine - note this was early on a Saturday night in mid November. Not a great start to what ended up being a good dinner. Grilled oysters were fantastic. New restaurant in April that still needs a little tweaking. Our server was way to chatty. Dessert definitely need to be shared. Would go back when in Tampa.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Working it out
When we arrived at 6:30 it still seemed as if they were not quite ready for service but by 7:30 that place was hopping on a Friday night, a bit frantic! We sat near the wood grill and it was a bit too smokey inside.
Seafood skillet appetizer lacked flavor, bread was amazing! Swordfish was a bit overlooked and green beans were very under cooked. Fishermans stew dish was outstanding and I would get that again.
Dessert offerings need more a more creative approach and some should be lighter and smaller.
Overall very good and I'll come back.
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
You have to try the mixed skillet..
We came in to celebrate my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. The dining room is eye-catching with lots of natural light. We started with the mussels, clams, and shrimp in a delicious broth on a hot skillet with lots of bread to soak up the schmutz...delicious!!! Ask for Jess, he's the best. Can't wait to try one of the outdoor booths...we'll be back soon.
