This is Polish cooking like
This is Polish cooking like Chicago & Cleveland that I have missed since coming to Denver. This cozy, homey restaurant feels like an owner operated bistro in Europe. Delicious cabbage roll appetizer. Borscht was mostly broth but contained two excellent meat peirogies. Veal schnitzel rolled around a filling (like a German rouladen)& the beef entree was delicious. My husband doesn't care for gingerbread, so we shared the Polish creme cake which turned out to be whip cream with a puff pastry top and bottom. Very pretty and calorie laden, but who cares at this point. We'll be back soon to try other menu items. Finally great Polish cooking in Denver and the Polish beer was good too!

Well seasoned and piping hot
We were early for our reservation but were seated right away. Thoroughly enjoyed the Polish and central-European dishes, which were seasoned just right and served piping hot. As the evening progressed, the service did slow down, but that did not take away from our enjoyment of a very well prepared meal.

This was a great find!
The food we had was excellent. Be ready for a European experience and plan for plenty of time. We plan on going back! We went in the afternoon on Easter and almost had the place to ourselves, plus parking is free on a Sunday.

Give the Belvedere a try!
It was a very nice evening. The chicken liver appetizer was delicious! The menu is clearly different than all the American fare that comes your way. Don't try to judge the Belvedere by comparing it to American menus. It's clearly European and should be appreciated for its cultural uniqueness. It was our first time and we'll go back. I got a vodka specialty drink and it tasted like expensive apple cider, so if you want alcohol, get it straight up! The service was very attentive and responsive to our needs.

Excellent selection of Polish
Excellent selection of Polish food, very well prepared in traditional style and presentation. It's like eating my Polish Grandmother's home cooking!

If you can pronounce your menu selection, you deserve a discount. True Polish food. A good idea is to share a dish as the food can be filling. However, a great place in all categories.

Love it or hate it...
...but what it does (polish food) it does well. My wife and I had a blast. The food was great, as was their selection of vodkas and polish beers, and the service couldn't have been better. My impression was that it is a family restaurant, with all the charm (and foibles) that that entails. Definitely worth a try.

Fantastic birthday dinner
We checked out the Belvedere restaurant for my birthday last week and it was fabulous. The food was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the Pierogi z dodatkamki as an appetizer. The sauteed bacon and mushrooms over the pierogi was fantastic. For dinner, between myself and my family, we had the Schnitzel in hunter`s sauce, Placek po zbojnicku, and the pork steak- all of which were quite yummy. The only caveat to dinner was dessert. We tried the banana crepes covered in chocolate. While they were ok, I wish the banana would have been cooked. Overall, great meal at a fantastic new find. We're already planning on a return trip.

Quiet restaurant with great food!
We arrived for an early dinner and found that the place was quiet inside, although there were a few diners outside on the patio. We were looking forward to a nice dinner and after a previous rushed dinner, it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the delicious cuisine offered at the Belvedere.
Each time we've come we've enjoyed the varied eastern European cuisine, expertly made and beautifully presented. It's a great find and while the location is a little out of the way for dinner, it's well worth the trip!

We totally enjoyed our dinner
We totally enjoyed our dinner @ the Belvedere. Service was good and the food outstanding. Good to have a Polish restaurant we will now frequent often. Never knew of it before the daily deal coupon was sent. So glad we tried it.

Traditional Polish cuisine
It was our anniversary dinner. We really enjoyed the ambience, cozy tables, creative cocktails, and beautifully presented food. Since I'm a big foodie I ordered Tender Chicken Livers and a Potato pencake with goulash..yummy!
Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We had a great time!

After trying the various Polish restaurants in the city, I would say the food was as excellent here as the Polished Tavern, with perhaps an even better selection of dishes to chose from. The ambiance is a bit rustic in a good way. It is in a quiet part of downtown.

Did not dissappoint!
Were missing great homemade polish food we grew up on in the northeast.
Had an incredible meal and can't wait to go back for try more!!
7/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had the sampler platter with schnitzel, 2 types of kielbasa, mashed potatoes, green beans, meatball, and pierogis. It was supposed to serve 2 but there is enough food on that platter for 4. It was like being back in grandma's house.

Absolutely charming restaurant....Lovely ambience. Located alone on the street so a bit of a surprise.

Great Eastern European food
We really enjoyed the Belvedere. The service was excellent and accommodating (although a little slow, but we didn't mind as we planned on a leisurely evening). We ordered the sampler platter which was a great way to start. It was a great way to try a little of everything, and then we ordered off the menu for our entree. So, we got to try a bit of everything, then chose our favorite. There were other things we didn't get to try so we'll definitely be back.

Delicious European Food in a cozy e
Enjoyed our dinner at The Belvedere. So cute and cozy; warmly decorated and perfect spot for a rainy evening, which it was. My husband had the Schnitzel in Hunters' Sauce and I had Chicken Cordon Bleu. Hearty, delicious old country taste. Parking readily available on the street. Sweet server was very polite and attentive. Overall, a very nice dining experience!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. I love Polish food and it did not disappoint. Very welcoming feel inside.

A tasty and authentic experience
The food was delicious and true to it's Polish roots. My girlfriend's goulash was spot and and flavorful. My veal schnitzel was good in terms of flavor, but unfortunately a bit tough. The atmosphere is lovely, with some "old world" style art and used wine bottles on the tables to hold candles. The service was very friendly and prompt and I couldn't have asked for more from the waitress. Definitely worth a try if you like this type of cuisine.

Coming from a Polish neighborhood, it was wonderful to dine at the Belvedere. It was difficult to pick from the many choices on the menu. My husband had the goulash and I had the veal, both were wonderful. Their salads were also very tasty and different. Every course from appetizer to dessert was delicious!

Romantic Night Out
This place had good food, good atmosphere, and good service. We were very pleased with our experience. I had the duck which was delicious, and my BF had the perogies. They were both great dishes. Definitely worth trying!

Work Group Lunch
My 4th visit to the Belvedere. It's become a lunch time favorite. A nice change from the usual jam-packed, noisy lunch places downtown. You can actually have a conversation.

Dinner before the Play
It is a healthy walk from The Belvedere to the DCPA. We made reservations for 5:30 and barely made it back for a 7:30 play.
While the staff is friendly they are understaffed to cover the business. The young ladies were busy but unable to cover orders, drinks and food in a timely manner. Our food was delicious.

If you like Polish food, go here
I've been here twice now and really enjoy the food. Kinga Lounge on Colfax is their sister, same menu. They serve good, fairly inexpensive Polish food. The pierogies are excellent, with good presentation. My rouladen was a bit grisly. Overall, I've enjoyed this restaurant.

Great Polish food!
Even though the restaurant was short staffed that evening, the waitress kept a smile on her face and worked extra hard to keep all the patrons happy. The food was amazing. We even tried the horseradish vodka, with pickles on the side, it was great

good Polish food!
This was my third visit and I've enjoyed it each time. It does take a while to get your food even if they are not crowded, but your meal is always tasty.

Pierogi are the best
Skip the appetizer and substitute a serving of pierogi instead. You should not come here and miss out on these delightful, and expertly crafted dumplings!

At five on a Saturday we were alone. The decor was cute and appears to be Polish themed. We started with the crusted Brie and the chicken livers on toast. Both interesting, nicely presented and delicious. For dinner, we ordered and shared three entrees: 1. the pierogi sampler (3 instances of three varieties) and all were fresh and wonderful. 2. Golabki - the stuffed cabbage roll - with tomato sauce. Unlike many, this one was soft and flavorful. The sauce was particularly good. 3. Red kielbasa. Well cooked, juicy and flavorful. Overall, three excellent dishes. For sweets, we shared the Vienna creme and the sweet cheese-filled polish crepes. Both wonderful.
Service was very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Awesome and Authentic!
We randomly found this gem on OpenTable and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did!
This is an amazing Polish restaurant with the most incredible food! The Belvedere delivers on taste, portion, atmosphere, and service. Their flavored beer selection is awesome and tasty! Their perogies are phenomenal [get them with bacon on!] and the kielbasa and other meals our table ordered were mouth-watering. All around, this was a phenomenal experience and we'll definitely be back for more soon!
The only minor downside is that the chairs at the tables felt pretty flimsy and we had to be careful how we sat on them because we were worried they might break. It's a little hard to sit precariously when your'e eating so much awesome food.

I seek restaurants out, not just for the quality of their food, but also for the ambiance. I always feel romantic when I am at this restaurant. The food is great too!
