Great food - ok service
The food was excellent. The service was not. We waited for over 15 minutes for a waiter to even come over to take a drink order. It was too bad because if we had had a decent waiter it would have been a 5 star rating.

Amazing, Amazing food
Absolutely fantastic food.
We sat outside, at first, then noticed the people next to us were smoking. We asked to move and were seated inside. It was a quiet Sunday evening but a small steady stream of people were there.
The food was simply amazing. If you appreciate chef (like, a real one) food, GO HERE. I was delighted. I can't wait to go back or try their other location, too. Job well done!
The busboy and management were spot-on! Perfect service. The seating hostess seemed bored to be there. Our waiter had a bit of a dry personality, all work, not too many smiles, but he did his job nonetheless. The busboy and management made up for them.
LOVE this place,,the food,,,the drinks. Can't wait to go back.

Good fancy date location
Overall, Eat Street Social was very nice. I went with my boyfriend and mom for dinner (though I've heard it's better as a brunch place). The lighting was very dim, wasn't too loud, and was a nice atmosphere. My favorite part was the cool cocktail list and sodas --- they mix their own sodas and use interesting, very delicious ingredients. The food was unique, and the chef walked around all night just to see reactions on his clients faces. The atmosphere was typical open warehouse, old ceilings, water comes in hip carafes, you know that vibe. The food really was good, but for the price I just felt like I should have thought "Woa." with every bite. That may be a lot to ask, but I've been there!

Ding! Ding! Social!
I had been to Eat Street Social before, but just for drinks, not dinner. We started during happy hour and were impressed by attentive, knowledgeable service. Drinks were very good, fair size and price for happy hour. A pleasant point of the evening came with a bell ringing and all the wait staff shouting "Social!!" - then coming around to toast a short drink with the patrons. Dinner was prix fixe three courses and a bottle of house wine (we choose a white, and it was fine). Lovely heirloom tomatoe salad. Follow that with a good corn risotto - not too heavy yet full of flavor. Entree was a chicken ravioli with exotic mushrooms. Very well done. We're looking forward to going back to sample the full menu selections soon.

There were a lot of things that looked really good on the brunch menu. I definitely want to go back to give more of them a try.

Great food and service!
My boyfriend and I ate outside and all the food was perfect. The services was excellent as well. We have been here before (the cocktails are AMAZING) and will definitely keep going back. We really love this place.

We had a lovely dinner at Eat Street Social. We thought all of the food we ate was very flavorful. The waiter was attentive, as were those who brought water, cleared plates, etc.

Eat Street sicial is rapidly becoming one of my favorite new places to eat. It serves high quality food without being "stuffy high falooting" place. it is casual dining with 5 star food.

Very fun place
This place has great atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices.

Eat Street first timer
Went to Eat Street with my family for a birthday dinner and was impressed. The restaurant is in a decent part of downtown but it's definitely not the nicest couple of blocks in the city and parking can be an issue though they do have valet service. The bar/restaurant is very nicely done in trendy decor with people to match. The bar serves up a very wide variety of custom mixed drinks and even has great non alcoholic mixed drinks made from scratch. The food was very good, including a nice cheese plate appetizer. I had a vegetarian pasta dish with tomatoes and peas which was good though I didn't love the basil "pesto", which felt too heavy and creamy. Apart from that though it was very nice and everyone enjoyed their food. Would go again.

Awesome food, VERY loud
Overall, we had a great experience and a great wait staff. The only snafu was the Living Social coupon we used was $60 worth (three course dinner with a bottle of wine) for $30 and was clearly stated on the coupon. They didn't ask to see the coupon and then proceeded to tell us it was a meal that was worth $90 would have been a grand total of $125 with drinks and dessert and wrote that on our receipt. In the end, our bill was only $35.00 which is more than reasonable and we decided to tip more than 20% even though we were a little annoyed by the dicrepancy.

I was expecting spotty service because of reviews that I read. My wife and I found the service to be exceptional. Will be returning.

We visited Friday night and had a really good experience. We used a Living Social coupon, and were disappoointed that the offer did not disclose it would be a set menu with no choices. The menu offered that evening was risotto followed by gnocchi. It didn't seem like a balanced or appealing meal, and we asked for choices. Our server suggested we use the coupon another night as the fixed menu changes, but with no way to know what would be served in the future, we persisted in asking for another approach. He then arranged it so we could choose our entree (thanks, Shawn - you were terrific!). We had the chicken, which was wonderful. The caprese canape was also excellent. We didn't enjoy was the risotto appetizer, which was lacking in flavor.

Good Value with voucher
We had the Living Social voucher, 3 course meal with wine. The courses were small, but the price paid for the voucher was good, so was still a good value. Neither this restaurant, nor Northeast Social Club offers bread with the meals. That makes my husband unhappy, and is the reason we no longer go to Northeast Social.

A Party for Your Palate!
The food was fabulous! A party for your palate! Seriously, this was some major good eats! My palate was in heaven!

Wonderful with nothing but unique
I loved this place / loved the vibe / loved the food / loved the service! What a wonderful little joint in a wonderful little area! thank you!
10/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
The tasting menu is excellent. Additional side items at reasonable cost and splendid taste are plentiful. Creativity, service and fun at Eat Street Social are top-notch.

I had a fabulous birthday
I had a fabulous birthday dinner at Eat Street Social! Our party of 8 got a great circular booth, had exceptional service, and sipped and tasted at least six different cocktails between us (many of which we ordered in multiples). The food is good (esp the spinach salad), but the real reason I go is the cocktail menu -- it features original, homemade, and delicious options.

Visited with a Living Social voucher for 3 course dinner plus wine. The Sonoma Valley pinot noir was great. 1st course was delicious and velvety butternut squash soup. 2nd course was a vegetable/rice risotto, also very tasty. Main course was very tender, sliced sirloin steak accompanied by wonderfully creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus. Excellent. Off voucher, we enjoyed creme de coeur for dessert along with well brewed coffee. Food preparation and presentation is outstanding; would go back (off voucher) to try more options. Service was friendly. We sat outside on the large, attractive patio. As darkness fell, we felt forgotten and had to bring our check inside to hostess to pay the bill.

Living Social Deal
We had the prix fixe on a Living Social deal, I have had better food there but not at those prices, incredible deal and plenty tasty. The service was incredible, we must have seen five or more servers, water refilled constantly, pleasant and competent staff. We like this restaurant anyway, they have a very nice brunch. It was a bit noisy, the music was a bit loud for conversation, meaning people at other tables were shrieking to be heard. If they had turned it down just a notch, it would still have been fine and had that buzz that restaurants like but make it hard to talk.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great Sunday find
We've been here many times before for drinks, but never for brunch. It was a nice to see the wide selection of brunch coctails in addition to their normal list. There were a variety of breakfast and lunch options as well as delicious daily specials. We will definitely be back to try their brunch again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more interesting brunch.

Good not great
We went on a Living Social deal and had heard good things about the cocktails. They were interesting and ours were well made but we learned that some of the drinks were made in large batches ahead of time in order to maintain consistency and speed up service. If you advertise as a handcrafted cocktail joint, make the drinks to order. All the food was good; we were on a pre-determined menu and it was all well done. I just wasn't wowed by anything EXCEPT the poutine. Always a favorite. The fries were perfectly cut, the cheese curds were squeaky, and the gravy had the just the right amount of saltiness. It is very loud so don't go there planning to have an intimate conversation. I would go again.

Great Food --- Needs Parking
When we arrived there was no sign of a Valet parking attendant. We ended up parking in a residential area 4 blocks away. Since it was a nice night the walk to and from the restaurant was not too bad. But this winter with snow and ice it will be prohibitive. I recommend you get an exclusive valet service for Eat Street Social and have the service displayed prominently in front of the restaurant. The Social Living Three course meal and bottle of wine was elegantly presented, prepared to perfection, and tasty.

Seniors and 20s unite
Went for brunch with a group of 90 year olds and 20s. Great food, impressive coffee, and no hurry. Service was attentive - and not annoying like many restaurant these days. A little difficult for the 90s to find the place and park, but a good way for them to spend a Sunday morning.

Great food and service
Food was great and staff was very knowledgable about what was on the menu.
10/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I were both pleased with our three course meal at Eat Street Social ... it surpassed our expections. Each of the courses had a signature taste and beautiful plate appeal. Our server was as welcoming and efficient as anyone could expect. Based on our experience, I don't see how any customer could be dissappointed. And so ... we will return.

A Halloween treat
Visited Eat Street Social on Halloween night using a Living Social deal for a 3-course dinner. The staff was dressed up, their service was excellent, and the food was spot on - nice portion sizes and well worth our money!
10/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
Amazing! The only word to describe
This was an absolutely beautiful and amazing experience! From the atmosphere, the tailored service, knowledgable staff, and extremely complimentary hostess and co-owner, this Halloween night will be unforgettable! Food this good should be three, no wait, four times as much and would only be found in New York or Paris! Really, this was an exceptional meal that cannot be duplicated anywhere else in the Twin Cities. A must try if you enjoy stellar food that keeps you thinking about it even after you're gone and stuffed. Thank you Eat Street Social for making this our new hotspot for a romantic dinner night out! Can't wait to try the brunch and summertime ales on the patio.

Fun and Tasty
My husband and I tried Eat St.Social on Saturday with a LivingSocial deal we had. It was a 3-course tasting menu, so the portions were really small (like really, really small salad, risoto, and petite steak). Everything was really tasty and the "cheap" bottle of red wine we got with the deal was actually very good. We enjoyed the food, but just wish there was more of it on the plate! My steak also had a LOT of grissle and fat on it, so I could only eat about 2/3 of it, which was disappointing as well. Overall, the food tasted good and we felt we got a good value for what we paid for the deal, but I don't know if we will be back to pay full price. Though the food was certainly tasty, there are a lot of other places in the TC that are better.

Great food with great service
I went this restaurant using livingsocial coupon. Food was great and service was good. It was pre fix meal so i didn't have to choose the menu. They explain what will come out but was too fast and place wad noisy so I couldn't hear it very well. Food was great though. It was noisy but this place is small and openable surrounding. I went there on Saturday night so it was understandable level.
I will definitely go back here later.

Love the Tiki Bar!
We used our living social coupon on a Monday night. Because we procratinated with everyone else, the place was packed as the expiration date is this week. Service was prompt and friendly, food was prepared well, did not feel rushed, but was fun to have a "Saturday night" experience on a Monday! At the end of the meal, we discovered the great Tiki Bar and some fun, exotic after dinner drinks - was a lovely evening, will definitely go back again!
11/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
Top notch service
I sat at the bar for dinner as the dining room was full. Much to my surprise I received really top-notch service from the bartender, better than what I've received sitting at a table in the same restaurant.

Great Price Fix Menu
We dined at Eat Street Social using a daily deal voucher. We had a fixed three course meal that was all incredible. The food was artfully crafted and delicious. The best part of the experience was the service though. Our server Brian was funny yet professional and made the dining experience memorable. We will definitely be back again to try the full menu!
11/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. We plan future visits

It was great food and really friendly staff. Definitely a unique menu and fun delicious food.

Wonderful food (although if you are a big eater, serving size is moderate). Service was incredible. Best ever.
11/6/2013 4:00:00 PM
Went on last night of living social coupon. Table was ready at 6:45 when we walked in! Staff was still energetic after dealing with so many coupon diners. The three course dinner was nicely done and was very tasty (hit all the right taste buds). The bottle of wine that came with dinner was an easy drinking Pinot noir. Was a wonderful evening. We were there before and will be back again.
11/6/2013 4:00:00 PM
My friend and I had a gorgeous meal starting with papaya and pork salad which was spiced in such a tasty way. Truffle oil on our risotto, and if I knew what it tasted like I would know if I tasted it! It was good, however! We had tenderloin and mashed potatoes with the best sauce. Sorry I don't have more descriptive adjectives, but I know it tastes very exalted!! Service was very good, and my friend and I had a great time catching up!
11/6/2013 4:00:00 PM
My husband and I came for dinner on a Friday night. Our server was nice, though I never caught her name. We ordered some delicious drinks from the fall drink menu, and when our server returned, she informed us that a big group in the back room was about to order their dinner. We were not in a hurry so we got our appetizers in (baguette and sausage with crostini - both excellent). We ended up waiting an hour for our food, but we were warned so I don't fault the server for that. My husband had the duck, which he said was excellent, and I had the pork chop, which was the best pork chop I've ever had. It was super moist, well seasoned, and well-cooked. I wish more restaurants could make pork chop that well. We will definitely be back!

A total minneapolis must!
Amazing across the board, if you haven't been yet GO! You can't miss here bar, food everything is spot on! One of my favorites!!!

Food was good, but not extraordinar
Food was good, but not extraordinary, with the exception of the calimari, which lives up to its reputation as the best in town.
I had been looking forward to the cocktails list especially, but found many of them to be very sweet. They admitted this was their style, so it is probably more a personal quip than anything else.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
a bit pricey for the portions. I like smaller portions but the prices were high for what we got.
11/15/2013 4:00:00 PM
Old Fashioned Night with Friends
Began the evening at the bar where the libation concoctions are outstanding. Old Fashion is amazing as is every cocktail we had. These bartenders are like chefs. Dinner was outstanding as the duck, steak, deconstructed chicken were all very tasty. Crème Brulee was the perfect topper to the dinner.
The newer bar in the Annex is my only negative. Decor wise its almost more of a basement that unfinished and you add some tiki flare to it. Would not visit the Annex next time as it takes away in my opinion what Eat Street is. Cheesy. Keep this mode to Psycho Suzies in Nordeast
11/21/2013 4:00:00 PM
Love Eat Street - the only
Love Eat Street - the only bad thing is the noise level - it can be difficult to carry on conversations once the place gets busy and the loud music gets louder.
11/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
A Good 'Early' Start
My partner and I took a friend from New York city to Eat Street Social for brunch.
The Bloody Mary was a good, solid, bloody. Well-balanced, not too spicy, not too fancy, but it did feature some nice grey sea salt on the rim. Each of us ordered a different breakfast item: the daily special Benedict, the Lemon-Ricotta Crepes, and the Croque Madame. Each was delicious and none relied on gimmicky flavors. Portions were appropriately small. We also shared a couple of desserts (why not indulge?). Bread pudding was very sweet, but the custard was delicately flavored.
Our server was attentive, but she didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu offerings, nor was she very personable.
We are planning a return trip.

Great Food & Excellent Bar
Everything I've had from the menu is very good and creative. The bar has Very Good cocktails and they are into creating something really good. They are not getting the buzz they deserve. There are vegetarian options as well & they are great.
11/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great food, service, and ambience. We will be back with our family.

Puts the H in Hospitality
This place is consistently good, extremely hospitable and so much fun. Probably one of the best bars in the Twin Cities, its up there with the best. Master mixologiests and great beer and wine lists. The food is always good and the staff are knowledeable and very friendly. Relaxing atmosphere and ecletic. Its a Gem!

Good Food/Great Service
On a cold Saturday night, the cocktails were good, the food was very good, and the service was exceptional. Combined with the warm and inviting ambiance. it made for a memorable overall experience.
I have been to Eat Street Social several times for lunch; enjoyed their patio in the summer; but my recent dinner was one of the overall most memorable experiences in recent memory. The service -- top to bottom -- was some of the best I have ever encountered.
