Yum amazing staff and food!
Awesome food and service!!! I truly enjoyed coming here I loved the way the dining area is set up and the wood tables are super cool! My party was only a group of three but we each enjoyed our food! I had the elotes and fried pickles to start and they were both amazing and uniquely tasty! I then had the chicken and waffle one word YUM! my two quest each ordered a different flavor of the ribs and swapped half for half both were fall of the bone awesome and the BBQ sauce is simply wonderful! At the end of our dining experience we ordered dessert we got an order of doughnuts and an order of peach cobbler both were so sweet and wonderful it was the best way I could've ended my dining experience at Porkchop. I will be back!!!

Second visit, first for dinner
Second visit, first for dinner and drinks-can't wait to go back! The chicken and waffles were exquisite, and the bourbon smash quite delightful.

If you are in the mood for BBQ this is an excellent place to go and if you like cornbread...it is truly TO DIE FOR!!!

Good service, waitress was
Good service, waitress was pretty attentive, explained the menu well & gave us good recommendations. Food came out fairly quickly. Large portions, decently priced, especially for the West Loop. Brisket portion was huge, more fries would have been nice, but it was a good amount -I just love fries! Also got the Chicken & Waffles & it was 2 large pieces of chicken breast on a large waffle & seasoned maple syrup Chicken was a little too well done, the skin was very crispy but the chicken was a tad try. Overall great experience. We went with a youswoop certificate but the prices were moderate enough for us to go again without a certificate. Beers were pretty cheap as well - $5-8 for draft, cheap for the WL!

We had a decent sized group but there were no issues at all. Service was prompt and the food was very good!

Great food! Delicious comfort
Great food! Delicious comfort food. Loved the Blackened Chicken with BBQ sauce and the elotes. My husband loved the grilled Porkchop.

We went to pork chop with a big group. Everyone was very pleased with the food. The service was a little slow, though our server was very nice. We would definitely go again.

Good food, patient server,
We made Mother's Day reservations for 13, 7 of which were children. They provided a large table in a perfect spot. The kids could walk around and not disturb other diners. We love the food and there is enough on the menu that does not necessitate ordering the usual kid fare...chicken strips or burgers. They loved the Mac & Cheese. We spent almost 3 hours and enjoyed it all! I love the pork chop, pulled pork, and fried chicken. My son ordered the catfish and enjoyed that as well. Wings great for appetizer!

Porkchop is a gem!
Good food, fun, and no pretention. Your belly will be stuffed and your wallett will feel no pain.

Food was awesome, service was meh
The food at Porkchop was one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Flavorful and succulent.
The server we had seemed preoccupied and we had to wait a really long time for one of our party's meals, while we all had ours. Service might have lacked because it was their 2-year anniversary party as well but it didn't seem crazy-busy.
Also, there are some menu items that appear online but aren't on the printed menu. I don't think many people head to Porkchop for an apple and beat salad or the fish tacos, but they were my pesca-vegetarian husband's saving grace, but they weren't on the menu.
Even with the challenges I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I will go here again
Great wings, BBQ ribs were excellent and enjoyed the great beer and fantastic whiskey selection. Service was super friendly and informative. An excellent value for the price.

Had a great dinner at Porkchop
Had a great dinner at Porkchop with friends: good music, good ambience and great food! Love the "saw wall."

Great barbecue w/the right
Great barbecue w/the right portion sizes. The fried pickles were awful, but the cornbread made up for it. Only complaint was with seating. When we requested to move our table from sitting on the end at the front of the restaurant we were told the 3 other empty tables were reserved. After promising to finish dinner within an hour we were able to switch tables. We ended up being there almost 2 hours and not one of the "reserved" tables were filled.

Nice people Good food great service
5 of us came in last Sunday before the Hawks game. We requested that we wanted to eat and be out in about an hour. After asking for recommendations we tried several items. I would recommend the Pulled Pork, fried ribs, pork tacos, and fried pickles. The fried chicken was a disappointment.
The service was very friendly and quick.
They also told us we could leave our cars there till after the game that was very nice.
Nice beer list.

My wife and I tried it out
My wife and I tried it out on our way to the Rolling Stones Concert at the United Center. Great beer selection and even better whiskey selection with Bourbon, Scotch, and Rye flights. The food was very good and our server/bartender was very friendly. We'll definately come back on our next trip down to the UC from our home in the northern burbs.

Fun Place to Dine!
We went her before a Blackhawks game and it was good food and convenience to United Center. We really liked the laid back decor. Our server and the food were great! Try the fried pickles starter...yummy and different!

My wife and I have wanted to go to this restaurant for some time and were not disappointed when we finally made time. We dined with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was great. They had a nice variety of music. The food was awesome. (We did have 1 hiccup but staffers were very apologetic and resolved it asap.) This was a great beginning to an awesome night!
All things considered... This restaurant has definitely been added to my list of regulars.

BEST Fried Chicken and Waffles!
Have gone here once for brunch ($5 Mimosas and Bloodys on Sat & Sunday) and once for dinner! Best chicken and waffles I have ever had! Great Beer selection too!

Get the Elvis.
Peanut butter, bacon, and bananas on a belgian waffle is inspired and I will return specifcially for it.
We dined outside and it was slow for a Sunday brunch, so it was quiet and service was attentive.

The Pork Chop Rules
I really enjoy coming to Porkchop. It is a great place for some good ol' comfort food--with a twist. The fried pork chop, mac n' cheese, and fried pickles are all delish. The chicken and waffles is also a great treat. The have a great whiskey selection and have really stepped up their beer game too. All around a great spot for a good bite.

Pork Chop and More
What a great place! Down the street from the upscale restaurants, Pork Chop gives casual atmosphere, great Southern food, a great beer seleciton, and the biggest whiskey list I've ever seen! (Don'r ask for a wine list!) There are typical BBQ choices, but also a lot of unexpected treats, like fried pickles, sausage lollipops, mac and cheese, and seafood etoufee. Service was terrific, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Somewhere to go back to again!

A night out with friends
This place is a good restaurant to go to with a large group. We didn't have a problem with getting a reservation for our group of 16 people. The food was pretty good and the ambience was great. If you like bbq and want a casual night out with a large group this place if for you. One word of advice don't get the ribeye--it's a bbq restaurant not a steak place.

Damn Good Ribs
Porkchop has some of the best ribs in the city. My wife, being 49 weeks pregnant, cannot get enough of these ribs. They are always tender and juicy, falling off the bone, with the perfect amount of smoke. If tangy BBQ is your thing try the Chipotle Boirbon ribs, they have the perfect amount of heat while still letting you taste the smoke. We have also enjoyed the pork chop, the pulled pork tacos, and the smoke as deep fries wings. With their extensive beer list and these great ribs, Porkchop is a must eat if you like BBQ!
For those of you that cannot make it into the restaurant, look for their food truck, it is equally as delicious.

Fun Outdoor Seating
Sat out side on Randolph to people watch. Service was very good. Food tasted good and was served promptly. Nice place for a quick bite or to hang out an have a few drinks with friends.

Great West Loop BBQ
Great spot for some BBQ in the west loop. Excellent whiskey selection.
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
Nice place to kick back and relax
The food is good, and the whiskey selection extensive. It's mostly, but not entirely, barbecue, which is kind of cool because you can get the barbecue if you want it, but you can also get other things if BBQ isn't working for you that day. I had the sliced brisket, and it was very good. This place is very laid back and easy going, which makes it a great option if you want dinner in the warehouse district, but you're not looking for haute cuisine.
9/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
For the most part, very good food, incredible Bourbon and Whiskey selection. They do however need to re-evaluate their service. They seem understaffed at times and to no fault of the existing staff, service can be improved.

Had a group of 6 and everyone
Had a group of 6 and everyone was very pleased with their meals. All the tacos were great, as well as the ribs! Service was good, but we were there early before a show at the City Winery. One small note, they were out of a few beer choices.

Yummy Ribs & Chicken
We ate on Saturday night, 10/26 at 8:00. It was not very busy, but I think we were too early, as it appeared to "pick up" as we were leaving at 9:30. Great old fashioneds, and delicious ribs and fried chicken. We will be back.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
The BBQ was the best I've had in Chicago! If you're ordering ribs, get them with the Chipotle sauce -- just the right amount of kick! And the portions were huge, so expect to bring home leftovers! Yum!
The only downside is the tables are close together. It's a fun date spot, but don't expect it to be romantic. Your neighbors can hear your every word...
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM

good food.....weak service...no wine list.......but fun spot
11/16/2013 4:00:00 PM
It was a cold night outside when we visited, but it was warm and friendly inside. We had the chipotle bourbon ribs and the catfish. Both were nice and spicy-sweet. The corn bread was soft and delicious. The gumbo was thick and spicy. Everything was as it should be. Whiskey flights are an interesting idea. we enjoyed it and will go back. Service was friendly and attentive.

Found this restaurant through Open Table and everyone loved it. We would certainly go back. It was off the beating path and had great food and atmosphere.
