great for a first date or any date
This was my second time here at Crow. We sat in the corner and the staff was very patient while we talked instead of ordering food, and was prompt when service was needed. I am impressed our waiter knew what a vesper was :-) the food came out perfect and the unpretentious atmosphere will keep me coming back, hopefully sooner than later.

Sharing a great spot
My husband had not experienced this great place before, I have been there many times with outings to the theatre with the girls. We had a special evening with the Eagles concert and an overnight so this was my choice to share with him!its a definite do over....

Good food; Too noisy
I was glad to see that the menu had some vegetarian options. The only vegetarian entree was a pasta, and it was very good. It would be nice to see more than one entree option for vegetarians, though.
Actually the most interesting part of this particular meal was the dessert. We ordered the sorbet trio to share amongst the 4 of us. Blackberry, french champagne, and strawberry IPA, all of which were good. Blackberry was my personal favorite (bold berry flavor) while the strawberry IPA was the most interesting (you could definitely taste the IPA in it).

Crow review deux.
Second time there, got there about 15 min before my reservation, but was not seated until 15 min after reservation. Was offered seating at the bar to wait. Other than this minor snafu - everything was as excellent as the first time. The menu is not voluminous, but they do everything on it very well.

It's great to eat Crow
Crow is an unpretentious foodie restaurant with friendly attentive staff. They maintain a small, carefully planned menu, using seasonal ingredients and impeccably executed.
Very tasty fare with entrees that hover between $15 and $30 per person.

Their roasted chicken is the
Their roasted chicken is the best ever! My dining partner let me taste his lasagna...delish!
I love Crow.

I've been to Crow three times
I've been to Crow three times and the food has been great each time - in particular, their pan roasted chicken is fantastic, Crow is one of the few restaurants I know that can do chicken so well. Noise level slightly high but not a problem, highly recommended.

Crow is a great hidden neighborhood gem...we were there during restaurant week so we opted for the $28 three course meal. It was super yummy, the service was great and the cocktails were very unique and delicious. Not sure why Facebook check in calls it Family Style restaurant...it is more of a place for adults and I didn't see a menu option to order food "family style"....if you can, sit at the chef's table it's fun to watch your food prepared and served up to you right away!

A quality find!
Long ago, before Seattle changed into foodie heaven and lower Queen Anne where Crow is was only 7-11 and Tower Records, there was really no reason to go where Crow is unless you were buying vinyl. Fast forward many years and Crow sits in a neighborhood where I hope it will continue to sit for the next 25 years. Crow is great. As the name may evoke, it has smart, well-priced food, diversity in menu, wine and drink selection and a nod towards "Northwest" cuisine. My wife and I went there before a concert at the Key Arena and were pleasantly surprised by imeccable service (the water glass was always full) and some darned fine food. Seafood, a nice beet salad and a bottle of pinot later, we came away wanting to return. Eat at Crow!

Food was mazing the server knowledge of all the dishes really helped in making our selection. Service was impeccable and attention to our needs were outstanding. the waitress always seemed to know exactly when to approach our table and her timing was nothing short of amazing. We sat at the Chefs counter and were entertained on watching the chefs and interacting with them all evening. Great Evening

nice place for meal prior to events
Located close to Seattle center, servers were understanding of our time situation. Prawns with sausage and grits excellent. Side if kale and carrots good with tender carrots and kale just right as it was neither chewy nor soggy. Large portion on lasagne. Good roasted chicken. Interesting combo of farro and falafel. Falafel was crisp but not overly crunchy with smooth flavorful inside.
only complaint is it can be hard to get reservation.

Good Pre-Show Option
Made CROW my regular pre-key arena dinner spot. Always spot on in regards to food & servers always make sure we're in/out in time to be to the venue in a timely manner

Amazing. Best food I've have in a long long time. Loved every aspect.

Best Chicken in town!
I have been to Crow many times and always order the chicken. It is always done perfectly, have introduced it to friends that are hooked on it too. This is the only restaurant I order chicken at because I eat it five days out of six at home. The service is great, had to wait a few minutes for a table, we had reservations, because the diners were camping out after their dinner was long over.
Not the fault of Crow.

Queen Anne Gem
My favorite Queen Anne go-to and I always recommend Crow to friends and colleagues. Consistent in seasonal food offerings with rotating changing menu and the always on the menu favorite: jambon wrapped chicken! Cocktails and wine also great, and definitely the wait staff service is attentive but not obsequious.
10/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Always great food and beverages insuring my naps at the opera. Fabulous oysters last Saturday!
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Always great food.
The menu is limited but everything on it is worth having. The ingredients are fresh, local and well presented. There are always two or three vegetarian items as well as their famous house made lasagne which is terrific. The wines are fairly priced from very reasonable to special occasion. The bar is very popular and has a good happy hour and selection of small plates. You can sit up at the food prep counter and watch them cook and plate, or sit at a booth for 4 people.
10/29/2013 5:00:00 PM
This is a go-to place before attending the opera. Everyone was totally appreciative of our time limit. Best of all was the food - delicious! We will definitely return. Thanks for your food and service.
10/31/2013 5:00:00 PM
Always good experience.
Sitting at the Chef's Counter is always interesting, watching the "ballet" of preparation. Specials are always worth trying; standard items always consistent. Bar drinks worth the cost.
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
I was recommend by friends who had dined at Crow. My first visit I sat at the kitchen bar and watched the chefs work their magic. I returned two weeks later with out of town friends because of my previous excellent experience. We all had a great time. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious.

Wonderful Meal - hope to go back
In town for a sales meeting from all over the country, not knowing the area, we got a recommendation for Crow and were not disappointed. Staff was very accommodating since we arrived at different times, and our table was waiting when we arrived. Menu was very diverse and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. Wild Boar was outstanding, as good as I've had in Italy! Only suggestion I would make is to serve it with Pappardelle pasta instead of Spaghetti. Those that had the Lasagna loved it, and the other meals at the table were enjoyed equally as well. Atmosphere is relaxed, so it made for a great location since we were a party of 10 and at times got rather animated. If we're back in the same area of Seattle, hope to come back again.

Feels like Betty
I had the only vegetarian dish offered and found the same falafel balls on the plate that they serve at Betty! The faro main course was really a redo of the beet salad with the falafel balls, faro and arugula. My dinner mates, however, enjoyed sharing my beet salad and then moved on to the bouillabaisse and the pan grilled chicken and loved them. Being like Betty is a good thing, but I expected a different concept and menu at Crow. Not disappointed, but if you like Betty, you will also like Crow.

The lasagna is outstanding!
The lasagna is outstanding! The service was exceptional and we had a blast.
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
We have been eating here for years and love it. It's always good-the food and the service. They use seasonal foods year round which is a treat.
We will be back.
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
Our waitress was great, very friendly and attentive, but not overpowering. Food was perfect, ambience nice, though it is a tad noisy. "Energetic" is a great modifier!
Our group had four very distinctively different dishes, and each was excellent. We all shared a bit, and agreed. Prices were reasonable, and we had the good fortune of getting a nice bottle of Pinot Noir for $20 on Tuesday, which is a 20 for $20 night. Dessert was excellent, the coffee carefully selected and brewed.
Crow is very convenient if you're doing anything around Seattle Center, with all kinds of parking options nearby. It is definitely worth a trip for its unique menu and dining experience. We highly recommend it and will return for more.

A neighborhood find
I've lived in this part of town for months but had not yet visited Crow. What a mistake! The lasagna was delicious! My dining companion had the chicken and was very happy with it. Would certainly recommend, and will definitely return.
11/13/2013 4:00:00 PM
I ordered the tenderloin and it was a delicious melt-in-your-mouth huge chunk of Filet Mignon with chanterelle mushrooms and the red wine reduction was to die for. My husband ordered the Lasagna which was also huge but was made light and tasty done to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
A great place for a pre-ballet meal
CROW is our go-to restaurant when we're headed to the ballet, and it never disappoints. Food and service are always top-notch, and the wine list is reasonably priced and features some very good selections. Highly recommended.

Crow knows how to do it!
My wife and I dined at Crow early on a Tuesday night before going to a play at Seattle Rep. We split a beet and arugula salad, followed by the cassoulet, paired with a very nice cotes du rhone. The salad was superb and the cassoulet brought back memories of San Francisco and Le Centrale's landmark version. Not only was the food memorable, but the wine was part of a "20 for $20" promotion, making the whole meal a super value. The staff was particularly attentive and mindful of our theater time. This was not our first time eating at Crow, but the experience just seems to get better and better!
11/18/2013 4:00:00 PM
Exceptional food. Small menu.
All the food we ate was awesome. I had the chicken. Others had the fish. Also had pomegranite tart. All around great. The waiter was a bit rude and his tip suffered for it.

Great Choice for Pre-Key Dining
Crow is within easy walking distance of Key Arena, so it makes for a great pre- or post-event dining. We had a party of 6, which they were happy to accommodate. Their service was efficient and courteous without being stuffy, and the menu offered enough variety for each member of our party to be torn between several selections (even our vegetarian friend). The prices were fair for such incredible food. The tenderloin (which I chose) was the most expensive menu option, and it was worth ever penny. Will definitely be going back.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
Our party of four had a great pre theater meal there, wonderful service, good food, wish they had a somewhat more extensive menu....but maybe they just want to do everything perfectly!
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great food, good price
We thought this place would be more expensive than it was, but were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was great. It looks so dark when you walk in, but each table is lit so that you can easily see your food and the people at your table. It makes it feel more intimate. All of the food was delicious, especially the kale salad. I usually cook my kale but now I have to try and duplicate that salad. I tried a taste of everyone's food at the table and it was all terrific. We sampled the lasagna, the chicken with prosciutto, the trout (fish of the day) and the steak which was one of the most tender steaks I have ever eaten. They had 20 bottles of wine for $20 each, which I thought was a great deal.

So good, we ate there twice
Neighborhood restaurant in the Queen Anne section of Seattle, w/exposed beams, brick interior. Atmosphere is friendly. Servers are knowledgeable, unobtrusive, yet affable. Food ranges from home-made lasagna to cassoulet, and reasonably priced. Drinks served as doubles. In all, a rewarding experience and as a result, my family and I dined there twice during our stay.
11/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
We planned a special evening out for my visiting mother-in-law. First dinner and then a play. We chose Crow because of its proximity to Seattle Rep, but now we will choose it because of our great experience there. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgable about food and wine pairings. When I asked one of the chefs for his recipe for one of the dishes we had he was very forthcoming and gracious! I can see going back again for happy hour as well as dinner. Love it!
11/28/2013 4:00:00 PM
On a recent trip to Seattle we thought we would try something new and a little ways from right downtown. It was easy to find and free parking. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly- but not fussy, which I like. We had oysters, the Kale Salad and the signature Lasagna- all were amazing, especially the pasta! Thumps up- will make it a go to place when in Seattle.

Wonderful and Interesting Menu!
We visitied Crow prior to going to a show at McCaw Hall. We were a little pressed for time, but that was no problem since our server was very attentive. We had a bottle of excellent Spanish white wine from the 20 for $20 wine list. Our food was all wonderful - chicken always excellent at Crow, the butterhead lettuce salad was outstanding with beautiful pears, walnuts and goat cheese, and the lamb shank with pesole delicious and very satisfying. The menu was so interesting, I would like to go back several more times just to try some of the other items. Clearly a lot of creativity and thought goes into selecting menu items to feature. I felt good after eating there too.
12/1/2013 4:00:00 PM
I saw some negative reviews
I saw some negative reviews before we went, but we choose Crow anyway because of its proximity to McCaw Hall. We had a very nice server who took care of us without intruding. My trout special over a bed of winter vegetables was outstanding, and the desserts where large and tasty. I liked the bargain wine list with about ten wines to choose from for $20, and that the desserts were all priced the same.
12/2/2013 4:00:00 PM
Food fair service poor
My filet was really good as was the mashed potato that accompanied it. My husbands lasagna was mushy and not good. He stirred it around his plate and ate half my filet. Service was slow.
12/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
excellent food and atmosphere
Eating crow isn't usually so delicious. The pan roasted chicken, wrapped with prosciutto, was the finest dish I tried; the cassoulet was excellent though not so flavorful as the chicken. The pomegranate poached pear tart was flaky, sweet, tangy, and subtle. Our waitress was attentive and cheery.
12/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great little find!
Crow was close to the Seattle center for a bite before the theatre. The cassoulett was fabulous and that is pretty hard to find. I would definately go back.
12/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
Small menu, big taste
With a small, rotating menu Crow has delighted me twice with unique combinations. Standard on the menu is the roasted chicken- so flavorful. So good, in fact, I came back to test out a special: trout on a bed of Brussels sprouts, bacon and apple. I'm no sprouts fan but took a gamble and am glad I did. The crunchy mix with the fish was delightful! I'll be back!

The Perfect Neighborhood Restaurant
The perfect restaurant in lower queen anne/uptown neighborhood - nice enough for a date night or nice dinner, but casual enough for a weekday night meal out. Absolutely love sitting at the food bar where you can watch the chefs cook. The food is constently good - never too fussy and never boring, always full of flavor.

Food was awesome! The filet
Food was awesome! The filet and chicken are must haves….we are now dreaming of the chicken and eating it again!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. I loved that I could reserve a table on their website. When we arrived it was great to e seated right away. All the staff were great. The menu is limited but as the waitresses stated they don't offer a lot of food butwhat they do offer they do well. Upon her recommendation myself and a friend ordered the tenderloin. This had to be the best tenderloin I had ever had. Very please with our service food and the atmosphere. I would return for sure.
12/10/2013 4:00:00 PM
very good food
The chicken was amazing my girlfriend loved the mushroom risotto
12/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was uniformly excellent: delicious and beautifully presented. The music was too loud most of the time; the acoustics are poor and make it difficult to have a conversation.

Post Theater Dinner
We had a group of 6, with a child and everything was perfect! Perfect for McCaw Hall dining!
12/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
We ate at Crow after the Nutcracker. Literally everything was delicious! The service was friendly, attentive but not overbearing, the salad and desert were great and the all 3 entrees we had were really tasty and different from each other.
