Very good food!!! Tables were close together, a little awkward for intimate conversation
but, that may just be b/c they added more tables for Valentine's Day. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere
very laid back. It was a good experience, but you do have to know to bring your own wine if you want. There was
a reason they told us but, I can't remember what it was!

Crispy flounder was delicious, a must try. Popovers are huge and a nice touch with the maple butter.
Since they don't have a liquor license, it is great that you can bring your own wine and they don't charge a corkage fee. Wonderful way to enjoy a wonderful dinner and keep the cost down.

A wonderful Southern Inn Restaurant
A wonderful Southern Inn Restaurant, with ambiance, great service, a good menu, and great food. Reservations a must. Don't forget the Sunday brunch. Service staff went out of their way to make our dinner a real treat. Luch was a similiar experience.

What an amazing experience.
What an amazing experience. The wait staff could not be more helpful. The food was incredible. We stumbled upon this gem while searching Open Table for a last minute decision to dine out on a Saturday night. What a pleasure Southern Graces turned out to be. The pop-overs are to die for!!!

Southern Graces Bistro is
Southern Graces Bistro is a gem in Beaufort. The cuisine is heavenly, the ambiance delightful and the staff most accommodating. I recommend it for lunch daily except for Mondays and for dinner Thursday - Saturday evenings. Afternoon tea looks scrumptious, although I have not had time to enjoy it as yet. Sunday brunch is absolutely sinful!

Fining dining back@the Beaufort Inn
Three foodies had a great meal at the Southern Graces. Interesting menu and lots of choices to make. Brought our own wine since they are still waiting their licence. We'll be back with friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. It was a beautiful room, great service, and excellent food. We would recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys fine dining. You can even bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.

Lovely place for a celebration
We were celebrating a special birthday and this place did not disappoint! Lovely setting with a pretty garden view, terrific service and a wonderful menu. Four of us each ordered a different entree and everyone was very pleased with their meal.
We were not aware that the restaurant is BYOB, however. Fortunately, we stopped to confirm our reservation before heading out for an afternoon of shopping and the host mentioned the BYOB policy, so that we were able to pick up wine before arriving for dinner. If not for that, we would have been very disappointed not to have wine with dinner. Both the restaurant and Open Table should probably put more emphasis on the BYOB situation in their websites.

Bravo to our server Cleopatra;
Bravo to our server Cleopatra; she attended to our every wish with the lightest possible intrusion. First she seated us exactly as we'd asked -- a corner table where we could converse with our dinner companions. Then she controlled the pace of ordering and serving in perfect tempo with the social activity. All four in our party were very pleased with the meals. We brought a bottle of wine and she served that as if we'd bought it there. Future visits to Beaufort will always include dinner at Southern Graces when we really want the perfect environment for a pleasant dinner with good friends!
Thank you Cleopatra!

The food and service were
The food and service were excellent. A very carefully selected menu of appetizers and entres. Although we were not able to enjoy the flounder, the stuffed grouper was out of this world. They provide you with a complementary glass of red or white wine with dinner. We found this restaurant on Open Table, which is always an great way to find good restaurants in cities and towns we visit.

The restaurant is classified
The restaurant is classified as fine dining. The food was excellent. This restaurant is a BYOB. I am not new to "fine dining", however, initially, I did not feel comfortable. The staff was just a little "uppety". The server seemed disappointed that we only ordered entrees. Honestly we weren't starving and didn't want to order appetizers and risk not being hungry when the entree was delivered. As the meal progressed, the servers seemed to "lose the edge", if you will. And the food was really good. Everyone in our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

very quiet, very nice..a word of warning no liquor license, BYOB, they will pour.actually you get a glass for free if you dont bring your own

I went here with 4 friends. The food tasted amazing. I love the popovers as always and the servers are always awesome and give me an extra one to take home to my mom. Also, my friend and I both wanted the same two disges but couldn't decide which one to get and they were more than willing to divide the two meals between two plates. Great service, great food. Doesn't get much better.

Southern Graces a gem in Beaufort!
As always, our lunch at Southern Graces Bistro at The Beaufort Inn was memorable. The staff is most accommodating, the cuisine was delicious and our lunch was most enjoyable. Each time I visit this wonderful restaurant, I enjoy the consistency of all aspects of fine dining.

Nice location, good food, excellent service, but no liquor license. They did allow bringing your own in and fortunately we had brought 2 bottles of wine. It would have been nice to have been fore-notified.

Worth the drive!
We recently visited Hilton Head Island for our normal summer vacation. I discovered Southern Graces Bistro on Open Table and was immediately drawn to it by it's menu choices. I'm a sucker for Southern Gourmet! We made the 40 minute drive on the final night of our trip, which happened to be our wedding anniversary. The service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. The fried oyster appetizer may be the best I've ever had. My wife had the pecan brie. I had the stuffed grouper and my wife had the wahoo. Both were excellent! I would highly recommend this spot if you are in the area. I also thought the manager went out of his way to pay great attention to us and our needs.

Everything was wonderful!
Everything was wonderful! Presentation and selection were perfect. I would highly recommend treating yourself to the Sunday brunch! The dessert selection is over the top with mini options so you can try several!

Elegant Southern Bistro
Southern Graces Bistro is located in historic downtown Beaufort in the beautiful Beaufort Inn. The restaurant is elegantly appointed but casually comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The menu has a great selection of various southern specialties...for lunch, I had the crab cake on citrus salad and it was fantastic...delicious and very flavorful...my husband had the fish tacos and said it was delicious. And the meal starts off with a popover with strawberry butter...a great way to start the meal!

We decided to go to Southern Graces Bristro's Sunday Brunch at The Beaufort Inn for our anniversary. They start you off with a pop-over and strawberry butter (any other day and you could make this your dessert!), a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary, and eggs benedict. Then you go out to the porch where the main buffet is served. Back inside there is a grits station and a dessert station (so don't eat all of that pop-over!). The service is great - and always with a smile. The cost is a little pricey for a brunch but you won't get the quality of food or the ambience like you do at The Beaufort Inn. We would go again for a special occasion or dinner. Highly recommend!

Southern Graces is a southern charm
Absolutely loved this restaurant. The dining room is lovely, and I loved the beautiful Royal Albert china! Such a pretty experience. The food was absolutely wonderful -- we had the flounder - perfectly done. The owners are delightful, as well as the staff.

Very attentive service
Chef came out and engaged with us over our meal, the server was very attentive. Its a bring your own wine restaurant; I actually loved the fact that we could bring our own wine!

Great foood, service and ambience.
Love this restaurant! Great location in downtown Beaufort. Make sure you take your own wine/liquor as they do not have a liquor license. The flounder and salads were excellent.

We loved this restaurant. The food was outstanding, the service was good and it was so charming.

Great place but name is misleading
Don't get me wrong, this place is great. Food, service, ambience are all top notch. Being able to bring your own drink with no corkage fee is awesome. I would go back and recommend that anyone go. This is formal dining very well done, but it's not a bistro. We arrived very much under-dressed for the china and formal table-setting.
Again, go to this place but understand that it is formal dining and you will not be surprised.

A graduation from college was being celebrated and our very attentive waitress, Amy, added to the event by giving extra special attention to all the little details that make a dining experience go from good to great!!

Plantation Style Dining
One of the best kept secrets in Beaufort. Elegantly prepared fresh foods presented beautifully.
Great service, wonderful popovers and BYOB, there is no cash bar.
Excellent value for the money.

Very Romantic Evening
Being our 7th year anniversary in the town in which we met, our second dinner every here and the 1st being some 8 years ago, we really enjoyed ourselves. We dined late so we closed the place down, service was very nice. Food fresh, crisp and tasty. Heavy on the bread.. as the puff pastry bread was a meal in itself and the Caesar Salad had two rather large cornbread helpings. The entree was rather small in size/quantity as was the crab-cake appetizer I ordered as my entree. It was more like a tapas than a larger sized appetizer helping. Prices were pretty fair so all in all a rather pleasant experience. SaleebScore Food: 8/10, Service: 9/10, Atmosphere was a 10/10.

So very lovely
Southern Graces Bistro always has outstanding food and an imaginative menu. What makes it such an enjoyable event is the location that enhances that great menu. SG is located in the beautiful Beaufort Inn which a a gem in our lovely town. The recently renovated dining area just made it that much more special. Thanks for a lovely evening and we'll see you soon.

Every couple of weeks, a friend and I take turns choosing a different restaurant for lunch followed by shopping, this was one of those days. Fresh from the oven huge popovers are served instead of bread or rolls at the Beaufort Inn. So many choices, it's difficult to make a decision, all were interesting from a mini-dinner entree to sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, yum ! The only hot coffee for my friend was de-caf which is not what she wanted. We both found that strange, but we do live in the lowcountry of SC where sweet tea is like water ! There were men, but outnumbered by women at the Beaufort Inn Southern Graces dining rooms. I had sent an email to the restaurant thru the Open Table site & got phone call back !

We discovered Southern Graces
We discovered Southern Graces on a previous trip to Hilton Head. Sure glad we did. Beaufort is a great place to visit. Take a carriage ride and the have a lunch at Southern Graces. You will be glad you did.

Many thanks to our server Cleopatra who provided exemplary service to an incredible meal. We were celebrating the graduation of our USMC graduate and her gracious acknowledgment of him was truly touching. The setting is charming with appropriate decorum and respect balanced with just the right amount of Southern hospitality to put our exuberant group at ease.
The crab cakes were divine, she crab soup and oysters perfect. Everyone at our table of eight was thoroughly pleased with their entrees. Wahoo was out of this world! The big surprise was the incredible, gigantic popovers, the likes of which I have never seen. It was a memorable meal suited to such a memorable occasion. Thank you Southern Graces!

A lot of the food offerings here are generally not found on other restaurant menus and are originals you just have to experience. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. BUT be sure to bring your own bottle of wine with you if you want some with your meal. This is an alcohol free establishment.

“Superb Cuisine, Service, Ambience
Our first time since the remodel. Absolutely a great evening for the two of us. We made reservations through Open Table and were seated promptly in the smaller, more intimate dining room. Our server was very timely in offering a complimentary glass of red wine and bringing hot popovers similar to a Yorkshire pudding. We split the perfectly cooked 6 cornmeal fried oysters served on the half shell. Salads followed. A not your normal Caesar and a Citrus mixed greens salad were fresh and uniquely prepared. Our entrees of scallops over linguine and a Crispy Flounder with Apricot sauce arrived piping hot. We shared a desert of white chocolate banana pudding. All excellent in presentation and taste. If you're in the Beaufort SC area, don't miss it
