Good spot for post skiing meal
Set atop Vail, this place is a great spot to unwind after a day of family fun on the slopes. We were there on a Thursday night and they have a great special - Two 3-course meals for $50 and kids got there own for $10. For Vail and the view, it was a deal. Food was of great quality. Wait staff was hustling all night and service was timely. However, I thought that a busser or two would help keep the plates from piling up on the tables.
Dining room had lots of windows, so the view was available from just about every table. Dinner time was good for watching the sunset.
Family friendly, so kids and noise level were high.
Also look into other nights for specials. Monday was a 2-for-1 night i think.

Top of the Mountain
Sydney was our waiter. He is fabulous!! We felt very well attended. There was a very relaxed and personal air to the place. The food was excellent and elegant - Beautifully presented. We had trout, onion soup & salad - then a toffee Carmel tart for dessert. Sydney helped us feel welcome as if we were having a fine dinner in the home of a gracious friend. Other than the fact that we had on our ski pants and our snowshoes were stacked against the wall, it felt like a very elegant evening out. I highly recommend this restaurant and staff.

We decided to dine here for
We decided to dine here for a change of pace from Vail village. Made a reservation, and got there with no trouble even though you need to take the gondola up (beautiful, quiet ride). Wait staff was efficient and friendly. Food was very good and reasonably priced for the area. Would definitely go back!

Great spot - much less expensive
Great spot - much less expensive than other Vail "cafeteria style" restaurants, with full sit-down service, ability to make reservations and much better food. Excellent kids menus too ($10 for 3 courses).

No view! but good food
We chose Bistro 14 because we had out of town guests who we wanted to show the view, and we needed a restaurant that was handicap accessible. Unfortunately, our table had just about no view. The indoor seating might as well be anywhere. Very strange. The out-of-towners still enjoyed the novelty of riding the gondola to lunch. Our waitress was very good, and the food was very good--for the casual restaurant that it is. I had the flank steak sandwich, and it was excellent.

Great food with a view
This is a great restaurant at the top of the Eagle Bahn gondola at Vail Ski Area. Whether you want to take a break from skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, it would be great place to eat on the mountain. Even better is taking a ride back up the mountain following your activities for a nice relaxing or romantic dinner. Great food, good wine list are a real plus. One note, you do need a lift ticket to get there. Also, it's a little cooler than down in Vail so bring a jacket.

Worth the ride!
This is at the top of the Vail gondola. You do pay to ride up but it's a beautiful view and they give you dining coupons to use for dinner or drinks at the top. Food is good, not too pricey.
