Loved the food, for the most
Loved the food, for the most part, as usual. Excellent shrimp and crawfish etoufee. Their beignets are the best I've tasted since New Orleans. They also had a piano player on board, supplemented by good jazz from their music system. Paintings around the walls give Springs Orleans a New Orleans ambiance.
Our only objection about food was that my wife's single blackened catfish filet was small for the price and served with an equally small amount of coleslaw. The filet looked like it had been shaved in half from a larger piece. The other concern here is noise from their open floor plan and proximity of the bar to dinner seating, which can produce ear-piercing conversation--with nothing to baffle it--on all sides.

It was my first time here and I had the best experience all around. Our waiter was so cool, and he never let my drink get even half empty & he had an excellent attitude. We had appetizers that were amazing, I like Moscato and yours was the best I've ever had. I ordered the Shrimp Ettoufe and it was so good especially for being the first time I've ever had it. I will definitely be going back with my husband. We found our favorite date night place. I was actually surprised with our bill, I had expected it to be a lot more than it was because it was so good. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a good night with good staff, food, and atmosphere. Not one complaint from me..Thank you..

The food (gumbo, oyster po'boy, lobster pasta, bread, coffee) was excellent. Service was great, prompt, attentive, but it was a Sunday noon experience, and customers were few. The ambiance reminded me of a French cafe. The inside patio looks like a good reason to return.

From A Native...
For a taste of home, this is great if you can't make it back to New Orleans.

The entire experience was incredible! The food was phenomenal and our waitress was perfect! This is one of the best restaurants that we have ever been to.

The food was wonderful! But
The food was wonderful! But the noise level was awful. Conversation was almost non existant due to music volume. Coffee was superb, but 2 out of 3 people at our table had to ask for a clean cup.

Good Brunch. Not as elaborate as Cheyenne Mountain Country Club but the food was very good. The hash browns were notable since they were fresh not the reconstituted shredded type. Crisp and not greasy. The shrimp were very fresh but be warned you have to peel them just as you do in New Orleans. Remoulade sauce was excellent as were the salad dressings. Obviously freshly prepared which was surprising. The beef and pork tenderloins were excellent. The breakfast meats were not greasy and tasty. I did not have an omelette but two others in my party were pleased. The usual suspects as far as the breakfast pastries. The beignets were not as light as what you find in New Orleans but were good.

Food was really good, service
Food was really good, service was completely lacking. Constantly had to ask for water refill after flagging server down.

Absolute Gem. Thomas Dawson was spectacular and he made the evening top notch. I honestly can't find anything negative to say. The whole night was perfect. I will definitely be dinning there often and recommending everyone to go there. You guys are my number one spot in the springs congratulations!
Job well done!

Cajun selection not as large
Cajun selection not as large as I was hoping, but the quality of the food and drinks was good and the ambiance was nice.

Great food and the service
Great food and the service was fantastic! We will go back again... Noise level was a little too much for our table. We were could hardly hear each other talk at times.

It's simply a great restaurant
It's simply a great restaurant from every experience I've had there. The wait staff is friendly and professional and execute at a high level. I had the étouffée while my guest ordered the beef tips, both outstanding choices.

Great Dining Experience
New to the Colorado Springs area and based on a co-workers recommendation, my husband and I planned dinner at Springs Orleans for the first time. We were impressed by the clean, restored historic exterior appearance of the building. We were greeted immediately in a friendly manner, seated right away.- Since it was our first visit, our server gave us an overview of the menu & provided recommendations; we received very attentive service. - Everything was served just as ordered. Food appearance, taste, flavors, menu selection, service and atmosphere were outstanding! We have made Springs Orleans our number 1 restaurant for N'Orleans style food and highly recommend this establishment!

Friendly staff and great food. Plan on coming back.

If you're looking for something different, then give this place a try! The Orleans inspired dishes did not disappoint! Our table had the blackened fish, blackened chicken, and the crab baked mahi mahi. The blackened chicken and fish were very good and and some nice heat. The mahi mahi was flaky and buttery. I would highly recommend Springs Orleans!

Cajun dishes always excellent.
Cajun dishes always excellent. A bit too loud for my taste, but it was a Saturday night and the place was hopping.

There's nothing there we didn't like. It seems strange because of all the unfamiliar foods, but we tried so many new things and only asked for more. The service is great, our waitress was so attentive and her helpers all had a smile on. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good night at a jazz joint.

Beignets in Colorado
A fun place with tasty food. The outdoor area is between the Mining Exchange hotel and the restaurant, decorated like a bit of New Orleans. I recommend the gumbo and the etouffee and, of course, the beignets. The place can get a bit noisy in the evenings.

A great return experience
A great return experience at Springs Orleans. The crab cakes should not be missed, they are incredible Our server was delightful.

Nice Taste of Nawlins!
Went for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. She had the filet mignon - great first taste reaction ("OMG this is fabulous!" agreed I had a taste), I had the delicious and piquant etouffe (shrimp and crawfish), after a tasty crabcake appetizer. The portions aren't huge but neither are they the extreme of nouvelle cuisine, you will be satisfied. The wine was a fine compliment to the meal and the dessert - cheesecake and berries - and coffee afterwards topped it off superbly. Our servers were vivacious, friendly, and attentive. Well worth it and recommended.

Pre Father's Day Dinner
Food was very tasty with a nice mix of flavors.
This is not just a plain steak and potatoes type restaurant.
Service was a little slow and there was one mistake on our order but in general
it was a good experience with good quality food.
A little on the expensive side, but nice for an occasional treat.

Great business locale
In town for a business meeting. Adjacent to the Mining Exchange, the Orleans is a great place to eat. Service was very good and Chris, my waiter was attentive. Probable did not need a reservation as they were not busy at time I selected, but the points are good.
Food was fantastic with a perfect blend of spices. Blackened Chicken was tender and moist. Reasonable priced for the hotel restaurant.

New Yorkers who love Springs Orlean
My husband had the Mahi Mahi which was prepared in an interesting way with fresh crab and cheese -- and wonderful balsamic glazed fresh veggies. I had the shrimp and crawfish etoufee which had just the amount of zip without being too spicy and the shrip and crawfish were so fresh. We split the shrimp cobb salad as our appetizer and it was perfect. It arrived very chopped and piled high in an attractive presentation. Definitely a favorite for when we return to CO Springs.

Really enjoyed the whole experience. The food, local micro beer, or server Joshua was great and the dessert was amazing. Can not wait to go back!!

What a hidden gem!
We had never heard of this place before booking a room at The Mining Exchange for our anniversary. What a great find!! My husband and I are foodies, and both love creole - we were not dissappointed. Upon arrival we were seated in a reserved booth and presented personalized menus congratulating us on our anniversary (wow!). The food was amazing. I ordered the Crab Baked Mahi and my husband ordered the Crawfish Ettoufee. We started with the calamari. Everything was excellent. Our drinks were well made and def not watered down. :) There was live jazz from a piano player which was just the right volume and not too loud for us to still have a conversation. We are thrilled to have a new place to go!

Slow, like in the BIg Easy
During my two vacations in NOLA, I noticed how everything moves slowly ...and no wonder why they call it the Big Easy. The Springs Orleans is like the Big Easy. Once you understand that, you will feel better. If you want a quick bite, this is not the place.
I had breakfast here while in town for business, and I forgot how laid back it is in NOLA and at the Springs Orleans. Once I got over that need for speed (so LA and NY), I was more relaxed. The breakfast -- Eggs Florentine -- was VERY rich. The buttered brioche was very, very buttery. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and potatoes were crispy and very rich. Cafe O'lait was very good.

Love love love it! William the pianist was wonderful. I think that was his name. If they knew how to make a great margarita I would have given them 5 stars but unfortunately they do not. All the other drinks were great and the food was amazing. Loved the desserts but the banana could come in a larger portion. Been there twice! Will return and would highly recommend.

A little too loud
ALthough the food and service were good, overall the restaurant is just a little too loud for our taste.
8/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Spicy tasty Food
The food brought back delightful memories from time spent in New Orleans. The music was not too loud to have a conversation with my spouse. We will return in the future and encourage out friends to enjoy a tasty meal at Springs Orleans.

worth the trip
The food was excellent. The mushroom soup was fabulous. We will be back on our next trip through town.

Good Cajun food at a good price
Food was good and worth the price. We had a variety of the food and all of it was good and we were surprised at how low the price was.

authentic new orleans food
There are very few places that offer cafe au lait. The drink was absolutely perfect. The oyster po' boy had a little too much bread for my taste. The cobb salad was incredibly unique.

We chose to celebrate our ten year anniversary here and it was a fantastic find! The food was wonderful, the staff very friendly and theOrleans quisine was delicious! The building is beautiful but if you want a little bit more of a quiet setting, ask to sit upstairs. Overall very beautiful experience.

world class food and entertainment
Springs Orleans moves into our top five restaurants in Colorado Springs. Excellent food and service and Thomas Dawson is musical delight!
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
The soups and salads are excellent, along with seafood, traditional Cajun, and great steaks.
The entertainment is by Thomas Dawson on the piano. He plays for the Commodores world wide as a keyboardist. His sounds are are Jazzy, with perfect melody's of old favorites and his blend of some great Christmas classics this time of year. He is a first class entertainer...... the best I have seen in many cities. He visits you in the crowd on breaks and is the rock of this place!
A definite must do for singles or couples alike. My favorite spot in town.
