One of our go to bars. Great beer list, great fish and chips. Only down side is the small, crowded dining area; very noisy.

Eulogy is always a favorite
Eulogy is always a favorite of ours. It continues to have the best beer selection in town, and the food is spot on every time.

Perfect selction of Belgin beer.
Eulogy never disappoints. Awesome beer selection and the food is perfect. Order the muscles as an appetizer and my date ordered house salad and I had the duck. All was perfect. This place fills up fast so I highly recommend making reservations on the weekend.

My favorite restaurant in Philly!
The first thing you'll notice is the lengthy list of beer options they have but don't stop there, although it might not look like it, the food is actually outstanding. I especially recommend the mussels dijon, the grilled cheese, and the buffalo wings.
The waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable about beer and will help you pick the perfect style for you. So, go for the beer, go for the good, and for the general fun environment.

The food and beers are always good -- but the service is what brings us back. Our first time at Eulogy we had an amazing waitress. This time around, we had Jen, who again was great - kept our glasses filled without being pushy and was able to give great recommendations on both the food and the alcohol on the menu. We'll be back again!

Great food, beer and service!
This was our 3rd visit after a 5 years break. Eulogy stands up to expectations - as usual! Our server was really good and energetic.

crowded but tasty
Food and service is always good but it is small and crowded.
5/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
We came for the muscles and stayed for the beer. Be warned the frites come in a huge portion, better off sharing one order per two people. The muscles were cleaned perfectly and the Dijon sauce was amazing.

Great beers and mussels!!
I get to Philly a couple times a year and I try to stop by Eulogy each time for their mussels. My favorite are their Dijon mussels....wash them down with a couple good beers from their extensive list and you're all set. Very knowledgable staff knows a lot about the beer on their beer list, which is always nice when trying something new.

Great Belgian cafe
Eulogy always boasts a stellar beer menu, with rare and new releases worldwide, and a fantastic menu to boot. I prefer lunchtime at the bar on a weekday. They also have a great Sunday brunch. It's a must-try if you have never been here.

Great beer list....good food!
Service is great
The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the beers.
Always a fun time at Eulogy!

Incredible beer AND great food
With such an impressive craft beer selection, Eulogy doesn't even need to have edible food. But they do. More than edible. I don't know what that white sauce is, but damn, I wouldn't kick it out of bed in the morning.

Bartender asked appropriate
Bartender asked appropriate questions and chose a perfect beer for us; a very pleasant lunch.
6/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Small food menu, but food is delicious enough. Obviously, the gem of this place is in its selection of beers and the servers' knowledge of all the different brews. Leave room for enough eating that only allows for more beer drinking.

Awesome food, beers and atmosphere.
Awesome food, beers and atmosphere. Bartender was extremely knowledgable about beer.

I came here for my birthday,
I came here for my birthday, and called before to confirm, and to add some extra people to the reservation. On the phone, the bartender was hilarious, and everything was completely in order. So well handled!
Food was spectacular (try the Hoegaarden mussels or the burger-- to die for!), beer list would make Belgium proud, and the atmosphere reminds me of real Belgian bars. For groups, try to reserve the Coffin Room-- hilarious! Only complaint was the waiter-- blunt to the point of being rude, and never once cracked a smile. But it's a small complaint, because the service he and our other waiter provided was consistent and so appreciated.
So glad I could share my birthday with Eulogy! I will be back.

Thumbs Up for Eulogy Belgian Tavern
We go to EBT whenever we have the opportunity. The staff is highly knowledgeable. The Beer selection is almost out of this world with 400 to choose from. The Mussels in 6 different flavors, the starters like Duck Confeit, and the Pomfreits are just the beginning of a good time. I recommend Eulogy to anyone who enjoys a good Beer drinking and Foody experience.

Beer, Mussels and Fries
I think there's a more famous Belgium mussel and fries place in Philly, but I enjoy Eulogy so much I've never tried the slightly more expensive Rittenhouse Square eatery. Why would I? The mussels here are plump and tasty. The fries are terrific, and every soup I've had here has been excellent. The beer list is unbelievable. Oh, and I like Old City so much more than Rittenhouse Square. They do have other things on the menu, but I've never tried them because this is a place for mussels and fries and beer. Oh sure, we shared some calamari as an appetizer and it was good. As I said, the soup is generally excellent. Lastly, the prices here are about as good as you're going to get in this neighborhood.

Great mussels... great beer
Dijon mussels a must. Opt for the 2 pounds. Frites are crispy with decent dipping sauces. Staff are well informed on the plenitude of beer choices.

great beer and advice, good food
We were seated on the second floor, in a cozy, neither spacious nor cramped area. Waitress was a fellow Belgian and trappist ale afiicionado, as were our neighboring diners. Great recommendations for ales, went well with the either very satisfactory fish and chips or the very good house speciality game sausages. Left fully satisfied. Compared well with other Philly Belgian ale/ food restaurants, though this was clearly the standout for its neighborhood.

Fun Dining with Belgian Beer
Visited Eulogy on a Sunday night before attending The Cult at the TLA. Dined upstairs where the bar area was basically empty and quiet. Our server, Kate, was awesome! Offered some tips and recommendations on the beer selections, as well as a vibrant discussion on vacationing in Europe. Very personalized service based on the fact that we were her only table at the time. The place did get more crowded as our dinner progressed, but that did not diminish her level of service. The mussels were very good, with a decent portion, and the fries were great. The demi-glaze on the ribeye was a little overpowering, but overall, it was good.

One of a kind
I've been going to this place for years, and it's truly one of a kind. The beer list (500+ of the best selections from America, Belgium, and anywhere worthwhile), the servers with their extensive beer knowledge, and the dijon mussels are what really set it apart. The rest of the food is pretty great too. The 2 things that I always make sure end up on the table are the dijon mussels and the hanger steak sandwich. Really all of their mussel preparations are solid, but the dijon is something I've never seen elsewhere.
Great place to go with a group of friends, and I'd highly recommend sharing (both food and tastes of everyone's beers), because there are just way too many awesome things on the menus there to limit yourself to your own order.

Amazing night out
Food was amazing!!!!! Aaron was best server. Beer menu was very impossive, love it will return again soon.
8/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
hit the spot
Before a show, friends and I stopped at Eulogy for dinner. The fries were magical and i'd recommend getting all the sauces with them (day i was there, there were 3 dipping sauces available for the fries).
The beer list is a mile long so foodies and beeries alike can get down.
Food came out quickly and everyone seemed happy.
It's in the "Old City" so located on a cute cobble stone street in an old building.
We got there around 6pm and it was still light out but it was hard to tell from inside Eulogy as it was very dark with think heavy drapes over the windows.

Amazing as usual
Second visit to Eulogy Belgian Tavern and it was just as great as I remember it. Amazing food, quality service, lively and energetic atmosphere, and incredible beer selection. Highly recommend the Mussels.

Good food, funky atmosphere
We went to this restaurant in the Old Town for its good beer and delighted to find its food to be delicious. We had he hanger steak sandwich with gwyere cheese and the double baked fries. Also, the fried calamari salad and mussels with mustard cream and garlic. The waiter was not too attentive or friendly and the place is dark and funky, but we liked that, it was not a problem. There was a long line waiting to get in when we left at 9.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Server was great, beer selection was unmatched, and the food was awesome...great experience!
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
Come here for the beer list, but enjoy some of their great food along with your beer when you finally decide on one!
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great Beer selection in fact don't try to take it all in or youo'll head will explode. All of our beer choises were outstanding. Served at the proper temp. and were accompanied by an excellent menu. Mussels were excellent. Cheesesteak had the sweetest carmalized onions I ever tasted. The bugers , although none of us had on looked incredible as they passed by.The Duck starter along with the Meatballs were out of this world and we couldn't have asked for a better waiter. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Beer lovers don't miss this place.

Awesome time for my friends and I. Never a complaint.

Good place for beer lovers
The food was very good and never saw a better beer list. Very crowded with young people

Beer lover's paradise
Went there with my 2 sons to sample the extensive selection of beers. We were not disappointed, and the food was excellent as well. My sons had burgers, which were outstanding, and I had duck which was good although the respberry sauce was just a little too sweet. We also shared some mussels, which were to die for. Our waitress was on the ball, and was very helpful in making beer suggestions when asked.

Everything a Beer lover ever wanted
Such a cool place. My daughter had traveled to Belgium and was able to find a variety of beers she fell in love while she was visiting there right here in Philly. Fish and Chips was amazing and a must have. We ordered dijon mussels as a starter that were plump and juicy and so flavorful. It was exactly what we were looking for…….. a place to unwind and enjoy after a hard week. Staff was so courteous and helpful. Although it got very crowed very fast, our reservations were honored right on time and we had great service.

Food-Delightful--Beer Even Better
Surprisingly great food selections-(Lavender Roasted Chicken, Mussels, Frites and Fish and Chips). Everyone loved their meals --well prepared, flavorful and generous portions. The service was attentive without hovering, and the servers willingly shared opinions about the remarkable beer selection. Go on early side if with a group, as it gets crowded. Well worth the noise level!

A Quirky Place
Eulogy was cool. It wasn't at all what we expected as it was far more laid back than the website might indicate. But it was so refreshing to be able to relax and peruse their beer list of hundreds of bottles. Where to begin?! Making a choice was fun in itself. As for the food, we decided to eat as a Belgian since we were in a Belgian bar. The food was quite tasty. It's not the same old fare you can get anywhere. Overall, it was a great experience.
11/19/2013 4:00:00 PM
We had a reservation for 6:45 but arrived early and were ready to hang out at the bar until it was closer to our reservation but they were able to seat us right away- already a great start! The beer selection is amazing and we were guided in our selections by their knowledgeable staff- her advice was spot on! Then we continued on to dinner which was equally amazing and garnered rave reviews through the next day. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent date night
I haven't been to Eulogy in almost 2 years but it is still as good as I remember. The mussels are to die for and the knowledgeable wait staff knew just what beers to recommend. I can't wait for an excuse to go back!
