Amazing!!!! The setting and
Amazing!!!! The setting and decor are fantastic. The food is out of this world! Our server was a blast. I cannot recommend this enough. I can't wait to return to LA to visit again. It was like a dream.

One of the best overall dining
One of the best overall dining experiences I have ever had, combining a warm welcome, excellent food, a beautiful setting, friendly and professional service, and a gorgeous setting and ambience.

Romantic patio dining
One of our favorite special occasion spots in LA...pricey but worth it every time. Wish the portions weren't so huge...it seems they have to figure out how to justify the prices so they do it by making the portions gigantic. That's my only complaint...everything else is perfection.

We were celebrating a birthday
We were celebrating a birthday and I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for a celebration. The quality of the food, the level of the service and the overall ambience of this restaurant combined to make this a truly memorable night.

Wonderful food, but my schnitzel
Wonderful food, but my schnitzel could have had a bit more
of the traditional accompaniments.
My son thought his steak Tatare was beautifully presented but had no character.

What a wonderful place for lunch. I met two friends for a leisurely lunch. We have settled on this as our go to venue for an elegant repast. The setting is nonpareil and the service is outstanding. As for the food, it is elegant in its simplicity, presentation and taste profiles. We particularly enjoyed our dessert of strawberry and rhubarb cobbler with ice cream was a great end to the meal. Perfect for lunch, brunch or dinner!

If you didn't know this was
If you didn't know this was operated by Wolfgang Puck, you would think you had made a great discovery. Definitely for mature couples or well mannered families, being on the sedate side almost too much. But the look and feel is marvelous, the food as good as one would hope for, plus a great wine list.
The remodeled bar was full, probably half guests of the hotel, and half their visitors. I expected things to be much less active, but this clearly is a winning scene.

Food was delicious, and service
Food was delicious, and service and reception was gracious and efficient. Beautiful setting.

Bel Air gem
As part of the Bel Air Hotel, the ambience and setting are magical and serene. Light, airy with a green house feel during the day. Plenty of nice booths, and big tables for 6 or 7 tucked away in private niches. Great for families and small groups. The food was very good but not great, especially not at the prices offered. On the lunch menu, the tortilla soup wasn't a $17 bowl of soup. I've had much better at Red O for $10. The lobster Cobb salad was good, but not great, at $34. The mushroom and cheese omelet was good but not to die for. A glass of the "house" Chardonnay, $24!!! The wait staff were young and inexperienced, not polished and refined. This was not a Spago level experience, although the prices led us to anticipate otherwise.
5/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
This is a beautiful setting and with the sun out there is no more tranquil place to dine. The food was excellent. Must try the non-alcoholic cocktails-Mmmmm!

We absolutely loved the atmosphere
We absolutely loved the atmosphere -just beautiful -we didn't want to leave! The service was great -very attentive, friendly, yet professional. The food was very good. I would definitely go back again.

What a treat! Great food! Unbelievable level of service and attention to detail.

Charm and elegance
Even though I have heard complaints about the restaurant and bar re-do from friends, this septegenarian loved the ambience on the terrace for lunch and found the new decor elegant and chic.
But best of all, the service was outstanding!!! Everyone was more warm and charming than I could have expected.
However, I found the lunch menu to be very pedestrian and uninspired. The Nancy Reagan (pander much?) salad was so finely chopped, it was one-note and boring. (oh, now I get it.).
Bravo Rockwell design, but step it up midday, Wolfgang!
I'll be baahck.

Simply the best!
We love Wolfgang Puck's restaurants, but this one is a cut above the rest. The setting, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are all exceptional. This was the second time we've had dinner there and we can't wait to go back. Everyone's food was excellent and I have several food allergies and the chef was extemely accomodating. The pastry chef even made a Grand Marnier souffle for me to assure we that it was 100% gluten free.
We had the steak tartare, salads, Dover Sole, Lamb Chops and Jidori Chicken with sides of polenta and yukon gold potatoes - beautiful presentation, good size portions and the flavors were all exceptional!
Note: this is not just a restaurant, put a dinining experience, a place to spend the evening.

My Favorite Go-To Place
I have lived in the neighborhood for 12 years and love everything about the new restaurant (maybe not so new any more). My husband and I frequent the bar and restaurant. I have had a couple of private events, been there for brunches, lunches, teas, dinners, and drinks/food in the bar (lots of date nights). The service in the restaurant is great-- always pleasant and gracious! The food always outstanding. I always share my great experiences at Wolfgangs with my friends and always recommend them to go and enjoy. All those I have recommended to your restaurant, were grateful for the recommendation-- they loved the experience as much as we do. See you soon!

The Wow Factor
My sister and I dined at the Bel-Air for the first time and the rave reviews are not exaggerating. Being a cynical New Yorker we went with open minds and hungry stomaches expecting whatever. But the hype is well deserved. Kudos to the Chef, kitchen staff and waitstaff. The ambiance isn't bad either. It was one of the most delightful and seemless dining experiences we have ever had.The Sweet Corn Tortelloni was one of our favorites, the flavors and lightness of the food was incredible. We had the Meatloaf on the Monday night which was superb.
Thanks for a great vacation. We will be back!!!

Had a memorable birthday dinner.
Had a memorable birthday dinner. The service was friendly and inviting from the moment we walked in. Definitely a special occasion restaurant.
6/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
it was simply perfect.
The food, the service, the design... everything. We came from France, and I reserved this restaurant 1 month before our arrival in order to get a good table as it was my husband's birthday.
we not only got one of the best table but they also remembered that it was his birthday and brought him a special desert!
We even met Wolfgang Puck!
It was the best restaurant we have ever experienced!

Gorgeous location, good food
The restaurant is located at the Bel Air Hotel, which is quaint and gorgeous. It is well known for its creeks, swans, and bridges. The restaurant is beautifully situations. The food is quite good, but my feeling is that you can find better food for the price. They charge a premium here because of the ambiance. You'll find better food in the heart of Beverly Hills.

A perfect experience!
Our first visit since September 27, 2009 and it was memorable. The food and wine were even better, the ambience perfect for visiting with friends and wonderful, friendly staff.

This was my first time at
This was my first time at this restaurant, and I was very impressed. The only criticism I have is that the service was slow, but since we were not in a hurry, that was fine. The food was excellent and the waiters were very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The hotel is on absolutely gorgeous grounds, and one should definitely arrive early so they have time to walk around before going in to dinner. If you've never been, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Great for special occasions. Yes, it is pricey, but that's to be expected given the location.

Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air
Excellent food and service and nice to actually see Wolfgang in the restaurant.

A Great Redo
Although I have read mixed reviews about the remodel of the Bel Air Hotel restaurant, I found it lovely and comfortable. The setting is beautiful away from the maddening crowd of west Los Angeles, it is calming and refreshing. Besides the ambiance, the staff could not be more gracious. This is my second time here in a month and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious. The burrata with roasted cherries and procuitto was amazing as was the corn soup with lobster. Our party ate everything on their plates: meat loaf, halibut, NY steak. The specialty drinks are something to try. Fresh and tasty. Cannot remember the name of the drink with bourbon with orange rind but it was delicious (similar to a Manhattan).

The Food is always GOOD! And the Food gets better every time!!! BRAVO!!!

I almost never write reviews
I almost never write reviews but this experience was so exceptional that I feel compelled to share. Everything -- and I mean everything -- was absolutely perfect. The pre-dinner cocktails in the bar set the tone for a perfect evening. The setting at the Hotel Bel-Air is basically magical. The food was spot-on. The service was impeccable. The wine suggestion hit the mark. And the atmosphere... I can't think of a more special spot in LA. Yes, it's extremely expensive. But I don't mind paying when the restaurant delivers on every level. I will be back again and again and again.

LA's Best Al Fresco Dining
Hard to beat the Bel Air, especially with Wolfgang Puck doing the cooking.
7/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food and drinks are way overpriced for lunch....salads and sandwiches... $26 or so esch. Bellini $14 and tea $5 ridiculous...and dessert... $14. The club sandwich was wonderful and the rhubarb cobbler.
Enjoyed our booth for two tucked in the back on the terrace. Service was excellent.

Bel Air Hotel (Wolfgang Puck)
We live in the neighborhood so it's great for a quick dinner. The only problem is that it's all outside and while there are heaters galore, it's either too hot or too cold. Like a blast furnace or frigid..Everyone keeps asking the staff to move them, turn them up or down or off...No matter where you are in LA, it gets chilly at night and I just don't get why they didn't enclose the restaurant. The only drawback to an otherwise great place. I do know people who will not go because it's too cold at night...
My feet and ankles are thawing as I write this review.

The service was phenomenal.
The service was phenomenal. Easily the best service I've ever had. The food was delicious as well and the portion size was more than enough.

One of the great dining experiences ever. Food was sensational. Service was first class. Ambience was great. Memorable.
9/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
Went there in the evening a few weeks back and really enjoyed it, so when asked to pick a place for my birthday lunch it was a no-brainer! I had a burrata and fig starter which came with proscuitto and rocket (arugola)…delicious! Followed by possibly the best grilled cheese sandwich I didn't make myself: comte, gruyere and caramelised onions. Perhaps a little too much butter but otherwise perfect. My dining companions all declared their main courses (chopped salad, lobster cobb and halibut) too good to share! They were perhaps a little late putting the shade over our side of the patio but beyond that a great time was had by all.

I was about to give up on this restaurant as the last few visits were not anything special. However, this time we ordered the chef's tasting menu and it was a remarkable experience. Great food and superb service. I will definitely go back!

Premier Dining Experience
Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air is always a wonderful dining experience. From the time you are seated, the professional staff work perfectly as a team. Everthing is clearly explained about the menu items as well as being recommended beautiful wines to complement the dishes. Over time, the staff gets to know the clientele which adds that special touch to the experience.

Great Place, Great Atmosphere
Finally went back for dinner as we go for brunch often.
The filet was excellent, the lamb fair, the short ribs good and NY strip excellent.
I had the lamb, and it was overcooked I ordered medium to medium well and they were bone dry well done. They were fatty and tiny tiny chops. I was told there wold be a lot of lamb. Very disappointed. Only was able to eat about 2 half dollar size bits of meat. The sauce saved the entree.
There was a wedding so the time between the appetizer and the entree was about 45 long minutes. Not a waitstaff issue, was a kitchen issue.
Will be going back, but will not be ordering the lamb.

20 year wedding anniversary
This place is tucked away in Belair. It is recently renovated. Lovely exclusive & expensive. Exquisite food in a refined locale. Solicitous service, accommodating to the vegetarian in our party. Kind to bring us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary.

Hotel Bel Air at it's best
Loved everything about this dinner. Even had the signature dish of the old Spago, Weinerschnitzel. The Dover Sole and the daily Fish and Chips specials melted in our mouths and the Pastas were excellent and al dente. Can't beat the setting but I miss the old classic style of the place.

Great spot for a celebration
It's our second time going for celebration lunch and both times were outstanding. Service, Food, ambience...everything!!!

Better than Europe
We had a special occasion, tasting menu, designed and prepared by chef Hugo. It was a culinary delight--memorable and delicious. Each course was beautifully presented and so delightful, we could not decide which we liked the best. The service was excellent--really even beyond European service--but, without being austere. They made a really fun culinary adventure for us. In a word, magnificent!
