Better than most Boston spots!
Great food and service. The only negative comment is when I ordered an entree, I was then told it was sold out, too bad that it wasn't mentioned when the specials were described.

There are not enough superlatives
There are not enough superlatives to do Sabor justice. It was wonderful. Definitely the best restaurant on the South Shore.

This was a brilliant restaurant
This was a brilliant restaurant that was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the food was superb. All the food including the amuse bouche appetizers, the main course and the dessert were excellent. The service prompt and friendly. The atmosphere relaxed and quiet enough to have a decent conversation without screaming. Overall, an amazing dining experience. My compliments to the chef and staff. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Another great dinner at Sabor
We just finished our fourth meal at Sabor. We're new to the area and were happy to find this restaurant. Food is consistently very good - appetizers, vegetables, meat and desserts. It's wonderful to find a good variety of wine with reasonably priced selections. (I never understand why some restaurants with entrees in the $25 range have wines mostly priced $50++ ; Sabor got this right! You can have the expensive wines if you want them, but there are many good selections priced less.) The impression is that everyone who works here is passionate about food and the restaurant. The streetside location is attractive; inside we listened to Spanish/latin themed music - yet still able to have a conversation. We'll be back - many times.

This restaurant never fails. Whatever I order, evening specials or from the regular menu, I know the food will be fresh and top quality.

Great little restaurant
Great little restaurant.
I have been many times and never disappointed.
On this visit their fryer set off the fire alarm and it added a little excitement to the evening. Couldn't get their great frites but their risotto is also very god.
Would definitely recommend.

Pleaseant surroundings, good
Pleaseant surroundings, good service and great food. What more could you ask for? Pesto crusted Salmon was cooked to perfection with fresh herbs served over Risotto. Husband had the pork entree and it was a HUGE serving, very nicely prepared ragout. Took our servers suggestion for a nice bottle of wine and we were not disappointed.
Don't miss the fabulous desserts, crem brulee was superb and the 3 tier choclate mousse cake was light and divine. Wish we lived closer!!!

Nice little restaurant in Plymouth
Brought out of town visitors to dinner here as we had heard very good things about it. We did enjoy the restaurant, service was excellent, the wine was very good and the food was very good as well. Not great. None of us were blown away, but that being said, it was a nice night out and we will probably return, but it is not the 'special occasion' place that I had thought it was.

Worth a trip to Plymouth
If you're not in the immediate area, and you'd like to be a little off the beaten path, go to this restaurant in downtown Plymouth. We were here for a nearby show happening later in the evening. Found this place on Open Table and was lured by the reviews. We were not disappointed. Our meals were excellent. My soup (potato and leek) was delicious. Everyone's salads were great. The main courses were wonderful. Couldn't stay for desert this time, but maybe next time. I highly recommend this place.

Plymouth's storefront gem
We've been to Sabor a number of times and have been pleased each time. This past Saturday, one of the evening specials was paella and we all ordered it. The portion was quite generous and each of the seafood components was delicious and perfectly cooked; the sausage gave it a nice bite. One of the great things about Sabor is its wine list - an eclectic, well thought out selection and reasonably priced. Finally, I can't say enough about the service here. The staff is definitely a team; they all work hard and couldn't be more professional.

Best paella since Spain!
First timer at Sabor Saturday night for 4 of us. Great spot - great food, great service. My paella was truly the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. I'd definitely recommend Sabor. All four of us were very happy with the experience.

We have been to Sabor a number of times and never been disappointed. Small, intimate location provides a romantic setting. Food is always tasty and intriguing. Favorites; assorted amuse bouche, corn & crab bisque, spring rolls, beets, tenderloin. Service is outstanding, professional and friendly! Even fun to dine at the bar and watch the kitchen scene. A small gem! Try it, you'll love it!

No complaints here, very enjoyable!
Great overall experience. It is a nice space, small but not tiny. Only beer and wine. It can get loud but I didn’t find it distracting. We were given a mini caprese appetizer. Pretty good. The rolls/hummus were very very good. We ordered the oysters and spring rolls. Oysters were very fresh. The spring rolls were great and a healthy portion with a peanut sauce, sweet chili and soy. Really liked the sweet chili and soy not so much the peanut sauce but it wasn’t bad. Main course it was scallops over crab risotto, and braised pork shank over white bean and tomato type base. The shank was very tender. There didn’t seem to be much flavoring going on with it but I wouldn’t call it bland. Scallops could not have been any better nor the risotto

As always the Food, Service
As always the Food, Service and Ambience as Sabors were excellent. Can't wait to go back.

This is definitely our favorite restaurant in Plymouth. The food is wonderful and the waitress is the best! She is responsible for much of the charm of Sabor!

Totally enjoyed the experience!
Totally enjoyed the experience! This was our first visit to Sabor, located in quaint downtown Plymouth,MA. Only issue was the air conditioning was not working properly and it was a very warm evening! Too hot to stay for dessert!

The atmosphere alone makes this worth it. You are not hurried, the food is delicious and with only a few tables, you feel relaxed and pampered. Will definitely come here again.

Yes, we were wowed!
After being reminded over and over by friends for the past two years that we would be WOWED and not disappointed, we made the pilgrimage to Sabor for the first, and certainly not our last, time. From the palette preparing mushroom bisque through the dinner-ending cappuccino we sat back, relaxed and took in mouth watering course after course.
It was obvious from the start that the staff were fully dedicated to making sure that their guests were completely satisfied with their dining experience – and they did not disappoint!
We’re still talking about our experience and we look forward to our next visit.
We were WOWED!

Great place for a date
My wife and I tried this place for the first time last weekend and it was great. The food was perfect and the service was spot on, I.e. water glass was never empty. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special night out.

Count on consistency - good
Count on consistency - good food, good service. If they changed the menu more often from their tried and true I'd go more often. But its the only restaurant in Plymouth that rates a "fit for foodies" rating.

It was a wonderful experience to have found Savor in Plymouth, MA. The seafood (striped bass) was fresh that day. It was lovingly filleted and prepared. I prefer fish to be slightly undercooked to preserve its succulence and it was. The collateral sauce was progressive and complimentary. The desserts were created onsite and were delicious. I would go back at any time.

Best in class
Great culinary experience as well as quiet, enjoyable atmosphere for conversation. (9 tables with bar seating for 6.) Superb staff who are also capable of offering descriptive and great wine recommendations.

Great find in Plymouth
Heading for Plymouth for a weekend getaway, I surfed the web for ideas. Phantom Gourmet write up sounded good so we gave it a try. We were very glad we did. My wife started wit gazpacho and I had the crab bisque. Both were terrific. We ordered the roast beet salad to share and it arrived on 2 plates - a nice touch. My wife ordered the crusted salmon and it was cooked just to her liking. I had the shellfish special - pan seared scallops over crab risotto. Scallops were large and perfectly cooked. We finished with a flourless chocolate cake and a lemon tart. If we lived in the area.we'd be regulars. We were surprised at the open tables on a Saturday night.

Sabroso in Plymouth
Sabor is always a treat. The menu offers a modest sampling of fish, seafood, meat and pasta -- as befitting a space with only ten or so tables. Fine beet salad, tender and flavorful lamb with a well-prepared risotto and a paella generous with clams, mussels and scallops this time around. The wine list covers the ground very well -- with by-the glass orders poured from the bottle at the table. Nice attention to detail, from the excellent bread to the rich espresso. The server stood out for her knowledge of the menu and wines. Sabor's decor is pleasantly spare -- very accommodating. Given the consistently high quality of the food, Sabor is a place to return to.

intimate dining spot downtown
wife and I continued our dining thru Plymouth with a visit to Sabor this past Saturday night. Reservations are a must for a table as it only seats approx. 30 people. Very simply decorated inside with subdued colors and fixtures that create a very intimate dining environment where quiet conversation is the norm. Started with the Duxbury oysters on the half shell, sweet and delicious. Wife had vegtable spring rolls with dipping sauce, almost too much for her to finish! excellent. Wife had one of nightly specials; shrimp and scallops, perfectly prepared and delicious. I went with rack of lamb, 8 pieces arrived cooked medium rare, excellent. Both dishes were complimented with grilled root vegtables. Wait staff is excellent as well.

Delicious Food & Great Service
This is always one of my favorite restaurants in Plymouth, but I had not been there for some time. I am happy to report that both the food and service is as exceptional as always, which is not true in some of the other fine restaurants in Plymouth that have gone downhill since opening. Also, although it is gourmet style dining, the portions are generous and the prices reasonable for this quality of food, especially when compared to other area restaurants which give smaller portions for a larger price. They also always bring a small treat to try before the meal. The restaurant is small, so you should make a reservation, although we dined early on Friday evening, so the restaurant was not too busy yet, and it was quiet, which was nice.

I decided to make reservations
I decided to make reservations at Sabor for my husband's b-day, after seeing it on Phantom Gourmet. Great choice! We both loved everything about it. I don't like lamb, and my husband ordered the lamb dish. I would get it next time! I will definitely be back!

fabulous food on the South Shore
We have been going to Sabor for almost a year...and we have never been disappointed with our experience. We love the daily menu additions...last week they offered a striped bass ceviche......it was sublime.....if I had not already ordered the wonderful fra diavolo, I would have had another................

It had been awhile since we enjoyed a meal at Sabor and were hoping things were still great. We took my son and his girl friend there for his birthday last weekend..Not disappointed as it was very nice. Good food and pleasant efficient service.

This was our second visit
This was our second visit and the return trip did not disappoint! Overall, the experience was a delight. The combination of delicious food, attentive and professional but not intrusive service and overall marvelous ambience made the evening quite memorable. The amuse-bouche was a nice touch as well... :)

A Wonderful Surprise in Plymouth
Wanting to have a nice birthday dinner with my twin sister and not being familiar with the restaurants of Plymouth Massachusetts I was thrilled to come across some good recommendations for Sabor on Yelp and Open Table. The reviews fell short on just how nice this restaurant is: exceptional service, great food with the freshest ingredients and a room that remained quite and intimate even as the tables filled with happy dinners. I will most certainly eat here again on my next visit to Plymouth.
10/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was our second visit to Sabor and we left, again, wondering why we don't go more often. The menu is not extensive -- rather, it is excellent quality food made to order. Local ingredients. Fresh. Lots of care & attention to detail goes into each plate. From the amuse bouche, to the carafe of water and sliced lemon to our spectacular salads, entrees, and even dessert (one plate split many ways!). My only issues, truly, was that the open concept kitchen can actually make the space very warm and that the small space can make for a loud evening if you're seated next to a boisterous group. Neither was enough to bother my dining enjoyment, though. I savored each bite, as did my dinner guests!

I was told about Sabor by a few friends and finally I got
there for dinner. It was a delicious meal with

Quality food, nicely prepared
Lovely little spot, with quality food, micely prepared, nicely presented, and well-served. Oysters were some of the best I've had.
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was our first visit to Sabor which was recommended by a friend. The waitress said it was unusually busy for a Wednesday evening and she was the only waitress working. Despite this, the service was excellent. The restaurant is very small so reservations are highly recommended. The atmosphere is cozy but not crowded. The menu is very limited and some of the entres are rather expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the butternut squash ravioli and my friend had rack of lamb. Both were nicely presented and delicious. The surprise was a complimentary hot toddy made with apple cider and apple butter! I would definitely return both for the food and the atmosphere.
10/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
Food and service were outstanding as usual. Paired our meals with a great Cab recommended by our waitress. Wife and I really enjoy Sabor. Sabor is the best restaurant in Plymouth - especially for foodies...

This was my first time at Sabor and I cannot wait to go back! Our server Melanie was a professional full of knowledge. She told us about wines "off the list" and we were thrilled. She recommended a fantastic wine for us and we loved it. The menu is small but they have lots of specials. We ordered a combination of appetizers and entrees from the menu and from the specials. All of the food was delicious. Sobor does everything right. The service is what makes this restaurant extra special. Thank you Melanie and all of the staff of Sabor! You all made us so happy and gave us a most memorable experience.
