We have been going there for years. Always great food. Pina is the cook along with her daughters. Wine list is good, but not extensive. Every meal we have had there has been wonderful. Recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone.

We've eaten at this restaurant
We've eaten at this restaurant many times during the last several years and it's always a treat. The food is consistently excellent, made to order by the owner/chef, and she's eager to please.

Pina's is the best restaurant
Pina's is the best restaurant in OC that you have never heard of. Pina and her daughters cook up excellent Italian classics and provide genuine, friendly service as if you have been invited to their home. Always an excellent time! One of our absolute favorites!

This is the real deal ... Momma is the chef and the excellent service is provided by some of the daughters. And the food - butternut squash with fennel sausage ... so good, shrimp scampi ... as simple dish but the best I have ever had. The menu has all of your italian favorites - I really don't think you can go wrong in this restaurant. The decor is very simple ... it is a small place but they also have some outside tables ... this is a hidden gem ... don't miss it!

Unpretentious and great food
Pina's is one of those little hole-in-the-wall places that, once found, you keep going back to. It's a true family operation, with mom in the kitchen and daughters waiting on tables. They are all very friendly and will engage in friendly conversation. The food is consistently good and always super-fresh (they only make the food when ordered, not in anticipation of orders) and readily variable (including different sauces with alternatives in spiciness. Tell them how you want it - they're very accommodating. Pina's has a loyal following, and for good reason!

My birthday treat
My wife and I dined here on June 22 to celebrate my birthday. I read the reviews of other diners and decided 'why not' - we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is family run, Mom's the chef and two daughters take good care of diners. We both started with Carpaccio; for main course my wife had the penne with sausage, I had the linguine with clams. All of the dishes were very tasty with reasonable but not overly large portions. Definitely will be going back.

Best home-style Italian
I gave this cozy diner 5 stars, meaning in the top-10% of its class. Everything was made from scratch and from a carefully-managed supply chain. As we tasted each dish, we started to realize this is how that dish was always supposed to taste, or how that dish could have tasted. If every Italian bistro in the US were this good no one would go to Tuscany anymore except for the lower drinking age. OK, that may be a slight exaggeration, but you get my drift.
This place ought to be much busier than it was, so I hope this review helps, even if just a little, to get the respect and notoriety it deserves!

Surprising local find
Flew into town for the weekend to see a theater production. Had seven in the party. Based on the reviews made the reservation. Sits in a non-descript small strip mall. Has 8-9 tables inside and 3 tables on the small front patio. Casual and laid back with terrific food. We all had a different entrees: veal piccata, veal ravioli marsala, chicken piccata, veal marsala, manicotti, spaghetti bolognese. I had the penne with sausage and asparagus. All their sausage and pasta is fresh and made at the restaurant. The sausage has just the right amount of spice and excellent flavor. For dessert we had the bread pudding, creme brulee, and probably the best spumoni I have ever had. If you are looking for authentic italian food, this is the place.

Nice Neighborhood Restaurant
This was our first time although this place has been here for years. It's very small - 7 to 8 tables inside and a few outside. The owner Pina is always there. She is very personable & proud of her food. Her daughter, Hannah, was our server. Very nice & a great personality. Some of the pastas are house made as is the sausage. You can make requests. My husband ordered the house made gnocchi with sausage in a red sauce. Very tasty. I had the pasta primavera in a light red garlic sauce, also very good. A very nice cozy place with very good food.

great Italian restaurant
Time after time, the quality of the food has always been great at this restaurant. Their wine list is not extensive, but is well balanced. This is a neighborhood gem. The service is great as usual. It also has tables outside the restaurant that are also nice.

Love everything about this restaraunt. The food is delicious. Have not found anything I didnt like. The specials always amaze me. Overall ambience is wonderful. The sisters that are out front are great and sister/mom team in the kitchen can't be beat. Would highly recommend!! By the way, if you have room for the dessert, pann cotta or bread pudding. yummy!

Another happy birthday.
Pina's continues to provide excellent food and service. Our family goes to celebrate special occasions and we are never disappointed. The veal picatta is awesome, you don't need a knife to cut it. Pina's daughters are the servers and they are so nice and friendly, they make you feel at home. Can't wait to go back.

OUR NEW NEIGHBORHOOD FAV!!!!
Only sorry it took us this long to discover this little gem of a truly awesome Italian restaurant.! All our fav Italian dishes on the menu.
When there was a brief lull, the owner and chef, Pina, came out and greeted us at the table. So happy to see a small family owned restaurant doing so well and right in our own neighborhood. We will be going back, soon!
