A very useful find for a good, straight-ahead, no-frills dinner in a location that is otherwise riddled with overpriced tourist restaurants. Friendly, welcoming service and generous portions. It's not haute cuisine, but it is fresh, tasty, and good value.

Good lunch place
Great place for a casual midtown lunch: good and no nonsense Turkish food, pleasant space, attentive waiters and a reasonable price tag. This may not be a place for an important business lunch, but a great pick to catch up with old friend over a kebob.

This was my first time to
This was my first time to dine in this restaurant. My friend and I tried Turkish red wine, which pretty good. Since both of us are not so familer with the food, we selected pre-fix menu. Humms were very tasty and falafels were good too. The portion of the food was perfect for us. I would like to come back and try something different next time.

Authentic Turkish Food
My group of 5 had an overall good experience here after a Broadway show. It's location is very convenient.
I loved the lamb kofte and all of us had excellent meals. The service is very attentive.
Tried the Turkish house red wine and I'm a wine guy and it was good.

Theatre District "Find"
Coming from the Harvard Club or en route to the theatre, this is where I eat dinner. AnTalia is clean, no frills, well-lit, & you can actually have a conversation. The service is attentive, and welcoming, and the food is fresh and home cooked. Did I mention the 3 course prix-fixe dinner at $24? I have all sorts of dietary restrictions and there are numerous options for me. Four large red lentil patties to start. Seven large (and I mean large) grape leaves stuffed with salmon and grilled until succulent, served with salad (no iceberg here). Two portions of juicy baklava--for one person. I took half of it home and couldn't wait for dinner the next night. And yes, I've been to Turkey. AnTalia is the next best thing.

Solid Turkish cuisine
I was staying in a local hotel and love to enjoy Turkish cuisine when I can find it, so I was happy to find a restaurant within 2 blocks. My mother and I had dinner one evening and I liked it enough to go next day for lunch. In both occasions, most of the customers were Turkish -- I take as a good sign. The rooms are nothing special but pleasant. Service was attentive and polite. The breads, corban salati, and sigara borek were all excellent. The Sultan's delight was good but a bit disappointing. The manti was yummy, lots of very small dumplings in a very good yogurt sauce. I particularly liked the bottom of the pot custard, a refreshing end to dinner with coffe or tea.

nice lunch place
We wanted to eat somewhere different before the matinee so chose Turkish. We arrived a little before noon and we were the only ones in the restaurant for a good 30-45 minutes!
Service was excellent and not obtrusive. The menu was easy to understand and price fixe was a great option. I had the salmon kabob, wrapped in grape leaves and my friend had the falafel plate. The food was fresh and delicious.
Ended with tea and pastry.

One of the better ones
I enjoyed AnTalia. There luncheon specials are very reasonably priced and somehow I seem to have gotten more than I paid for. the help was very nice.

was it istanbul or nyc
We have traveled to istanbul 3 years ago since then we have visited many Turkish restaurants in new york. But we have yet to find a treat like this. We decided to try AnTalia after reading the article on Daily News about them stating they were the most authentic turkish restaurant in nyc. Boy was i Surprised ! They were totally right on. They have probably have the most delicious gyro (doner) the salads were fresh cut to order which made a lot of sense in your mouth. The wine list included wines from Turkey which went absolutely well with our meals. The service was really helpful and friendly with not much interruptions. We will certainly be back.

Amazing Value. Romantic restaurant
What a night to remember. My husband took me to this lovely restaurant. We ordered several cold appetizers and combination of grilled kebobs (mixed grill) and a bottle of wine. They had a great variety of wines from turkey and the mediterrenean. We got to meet the chef I a mean we just had to ! He told us he makes all his appetizers a few hours before opening time and almost nothing stays in the place over night. Which had to be the secret of this place because it was just so fresh as if you have just cooked at home to yourself. I just cant wait to go back and try out more dishes.

The prixe fixe pre theater lunch at AnTalia was just one of the best buys around, very delicious, generous portions and attentive friendly service. Lots of interesting choices for those of us who don't eat meat or fowl, I'm going back and soon!

What a gem ! What a Value!
What a dinner we had at this place. The food was prepared as if we were the only ones there-so decorated, so carefully cooked. The salmon kebab was phenomenol. Their mixed appetizer plate for 2 was also the star of the night. We will definitely return to this gem.

Affordable, good food, not noisy
It is hard to find a reasonable lunch spot in this area, particularly one that isn't too loud or crowded. The food is good, service attentive, and a great option for a working lunch.
