What a wonderful surprise!
What a wonderful surprise! The food was great and the next time we're back in DC, we'll make it a point to stop by.

My top 10!
Have been many times & always have a fantastic meal! Don't miss happy hour prix fix dinner for $25 includes an app/salad, entree & dessert/side! Great value! Plus they always have specials on Guilt City, last one I bought was $79 for dinner for 2 including a bottle of wine! Great lounge music & vibe;) Always make a reservation! It fills up fast! And even if your just going to the bar, they won't let you in without a res if its full!

Enjoyed the meal and service
Enjoyed the meal and service here very much. I would definitely dine here again when visiting DC.

Dinner, Drinks, A View of the city!
I came with a group of 8 on a Saturday night, and we had a fantastic time and delicious meal! The cocktails were exciting, the wine was great and the dishes on the menu fit many different tastes, and all delivered great flavors. I had crab stuffed lobster and fried oysters and I will be back for the same dishes. A friend had steak and said it was cooked perfectly, everyone was pleased.
Lost Society is a great pick for a large group of friends, or a romatic date (there are booths with private curtains).
After dinner you can head upstairs and over look the entire city from the roof deck and listen to the DJ.
A great spot in DC!

Food is Amazing!!!
Who would've ever thought a lounge on the corner of 14th & U Street would have such great food! When I first heard Lost Society was a steak house, I thought yeah right. I'd been there several times for HH and late night for various birthday parties but I'd never eaten there until a month ago.
We purchased a deal through one of the sites that included a bottle of wine, 2 apps, 2 entrees and a dessert. I honestly had no idea what to expect but everything we ate was delicious. So much so we went back again last weekend.
We esp liked the lobster quinoa, the kale salad, the sirloin steak with peppercorn (cooked medium) and the potatoes au gratin as a side, were some of my favorites. Only drawback is it's super loud but the food's worth it

Shrimp & Grits!
I ordered the Pork Belly, Shrimp & Grits, and Nutella S'mores and everything was VERY good. Upon leaving I decided I would be back to try something else on the menu as everything sounded awesome. Definitely a cool place to go when on U street.

The food is solidly good.
The food is solidly good. I had the bistro steak with brussel sprouts and a side of mac and cheese; my husband had the lamb. Our waiter was polite but could have been more attentive (I saw him doing shots at the bar). My biggest issue was the noise level. It was extremely hard to talk to each other. We were there late in the evening (8:45 pm reservation) but it was still too much. Next time I would ask for a table near the windows, hoping it would be a bit more intimate. This issue could probably be solved by turning the music in the dining room down a notch. It got better ever time a song ended and you could almost feel the crowd enjoying a few moments of yelling-free conversation.
Overall, an enjoyable evening despite the irritations.

Great date night
Second time here and the food, service, and views were incredible again. Can't wait to come back.
5/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
I came here with a friend from out of town and read some reviews and we decided to try it out and we were pleasantly surprised. We thought the restaurant might turn into more of a vibrant bar scene later, but it didn't. We were a little disappointed about that, but we still had a great time!!

Went to Lost Society for a date prior to hitting Bohemian Caverns. Nice pairing. LS has an upscale look and feel but the prix fixe menu was pretty amazing. The food was delicious by contemporary standards. Didn't blow my mind with flavor but wasn't overwhelmingly rich like some high-end spots. The coffee was good, and the key lime pie was killer. Service was slow but very friendly. I think it was more the kitchen's fault than our specific server. I had the pork chop which was cooked nearly perfectly.

Very chic restaurant!
The food was really good and the waitress was very attentive. Very good experience.

I did not like the welcome
I did not like the welcome we received, or rather did not receive.
The food was fabulous. I had the lobster. Delicious.
Our server was also awesome. He was helpful in offering options and the recommendations he gave were just great.
6/20/2013 4:00:00 PM
Most underrated steak in DC!
Get the Rib Eye...you'll thank me. Mac & Cheese side and Brussel Sprouts are no joke delicious!
6/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
Only thing that stuck out
Only thing that stuck out was a strong fish odor around where we were sitting. Otherwise it was great.

A bar surrounded by a restaurant
Lost Society was more like a bar surrounded by tables that happen to be a restaurant. The bar takes up a huge amount of space in the middle and it is teeming with loud, mid-20s and -30s partyers. The service is excellent and the food is very good, although pricey. I don't think I would go here unless I had the deal, mostly because of the atmosphere... for food & drinks that pricey, especially since they're heavy on the steak options, I'd rather go to a quieter restaurant.
7/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
I absolutly love this restaurant!
I am called the walking billboard for Lost Society because I am always raving about their establishment. Its worth every penny to come here. Their 20 ounce bone in ribeye is to die for. My partner and myself have decided to make the Lost Society a bi-weekly event now as well because he has fallen in love with their food and atmosphere as well.
7/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
First: Open table is easy and amazing. I will be making all my reservations this way from now on!
Lost Society is a great place for a date night or meeting friends and new friends. The bartenders, waitstaff and hostess' are exceptional. Prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. Afterwards we hung out on the roof top and danced. It was a wonderful evening.

Romantic and fun
Romantic, fun, and ambiance that cannot be beat in DC -- this hot little gem is actually quite delicious. I loved everything about this place minus 3 aspects. First, the bouncer outside was kind of rude. Second, the service was a little on the slow side, so budget some time. Finally, the prices were kind of high, so bring a full wallet. Otherwise, it's AWESOME. ENJOY!
7/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
Wonderful Customer Service
This place has good customer service, my waiter gave us an additional picture of sangria to allow us to taste!
7/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
The view and service were
The view and service were highlights in this neighborhood gem; the food was good enough for a return, especially the steak. We had a great coupon deal and that made it a bargain. The petite steak was outstanding. The shrimp pasta dish included an unusual mushroom and was flavorful, (though Italian food purists would snub the cheese sauce and shrimp on the same plate).
7/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
The food was delicious! Service was good up until it was time to get our food. It took forever before we received our main course. Not sure if the waiter put our order in or what... We were there 2.5 hrs. Way too long.
7/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
We used the Gilt Group for brunch which made it affordable but otherwise it is kind of pricey. Food was great and bottomless mimosas were fabulous. The staff is so friendly and everyone was clearly there to have a good time.
7/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
Nice date night!
Every single dish was delicious!! Hightlights: Tuna Tartar, Scallops and Lobster.Very good service too!
7/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great Experience- a little noisy
Loved the food. My date was VERY impressed. Luis was awesome as our waiter. However, originally they tried to seat us at a table that's very close to another table- which is my only feedback. Please spread tables out more! THe noise level was HIGH. Then my date and I moved to the Ladie's Section and it was incredible and quiet.
Make sure you check out the Roof Deck up top after you dine!

Best Kept Secret
My wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Lost Society on a Friday evening. We were immediately impressed with the decor of the restaurant. It's very chic and upscale. The waitress recommended the 7 ounce bistro steak with fried brussels sprouts in a special sauce. It was outstanding! The waitress also recommended the kale salad and for dessert recommended the bread pudding and the apple bourbon upside down cake. Both desserts were great; however, the bread pudding was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Superb Neighborhood Gem
This is another great visit to what is now quickly becoming one of our favorite dinner spots. The servers are thoughtful and helpful, the seats are comfortable and the menu is varied and excellent.

Bday Celebration at Lost Society
Friendly staff, cute place, good food! Took a friend here for her birthday and we had a GREAT time! The staff was super friendly (one of the best parts, actually!). We had reservations, but were a little late and were not given a hard time at all! The drinks were tasty, my food was good (got the steak) and everybody else's food at the table was good (tasted everyone's lol). I'll definitely be returning.

Great food and service When
Great food and service When one member of our party was not impressed with his burger, the manager gave us all free desserts. They also were very good about adding more members to our party and moved us to a very comfortable, larger table.

A hidden gem off of U street
This was my first experience in going to Lost Society. Even though there was an address listed I didn't initially see the sign until I looked upwards on the buildings angle (strange if you ask me). Once, I went into the place I was completely surprised in how it was decorated. I have lived in the area long enough to see changes and the change that took place in there was nice. I had gone for brunch and unlimited mimosas. The brunch was delicious I would definitely do that again. Overall I enjoyed myself.

Not your every day steak house...
Lobster stuffed with crab was a delight. The petite sirloin was good as well. Tuna tar tar was kind of spicy, but was nice change. The apple rum cake was awesome!

Felt like being out in NYC
Definitely a great place to take friends out to dinner in the U St / 14th Street neighborhood. Such a vibrant restaurant in the U Street scene. Our group of three had never eaten at Lost Society. We had reservations at 8:45pm on a Saturday night. We got there at 8:45pm and got promptly seated. Poor souls that hadn't reserved on OpenTable could not get a table. Our server was great. We enjoyed our wine and ordered steaks for dinner. Yum! Great experience. Will absolutely come back. Looks like they also have a $25 Prix-Fixe menu during the weekdays which I will also come back to try.

Just a regular Wednesday
Our waiter was a repeat -- he had served us a few months ago -- and he was still at the top of his form. Very friendly staff all around. Food was very good, from the salads and appetizer to the steaks and side dishes. The only complaint is that it seemed to take a very long time to get our steaks. The table next to us arrived just a minute before us and they were done with dessert before we got our steaks -- and one was ordered rare. We never got an explanation, but everything else was so good, we overlooked this minor annoyance. The restaurant is loud even on a Wednesday, but that's expected on U Street.

Another Great Meal
Lost Society has quickly become one of our favorite places. From the Wedge Salad to the Fried Pickles, found out they make them fresh and in house! Snappy, fresh, great flavor and then fried! Loved the fried steak, found out why - its actually filet mignon! Mac and cheese to die for. The server was fantastic all the way through and we took his suggestion for desert - their version of Bread Pudding. Normally would never ever order Bread Pudding! Don't like mushy things or raisins! Theirs was so FANTASTIC! It was light, flavorful (loved the rum at the bottom) and was just the perfect finish to a perfect meal.

Great Food and Service
This was my first time at Lost Society and I was not disappointed. Our party of 3 met early for drinks at the rooftop bar, then proceeded downstairs for our 7pm reservation. We had a wonderful, private table. Our server, Sean, was excellent. He was attentive without being overbearing and made recommendations for our entrees and wine. I ordered oysters with ceviche as an appetizer and a steak with au gratin potatoes & brussel sprouts. All were delicious! I will definitely return. However, the environment really changes after 11pm. Much more of a loud, nightclub scene. I recommend going early and enjoying a meal before the club types arrives.

The Perfect Place
Lost Society is, as it has been since it opened, my favorite restaurant in DC. The food, the climate, the staff, all wonderful. This will continue to be my number one venue for a wonderful night out.
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
Lost Society is a great restaurant; it's specialty is beef. Excellent cuts. The 10 oz filet is a perfect size portion. The entrees are served a la carte: great if you don't like to be tempted by the carbs normally served. The brocclinni and brussel sprouts are delicious. For dessert, try the Smore tart it is excellent. The wine list could use some improvement. All the wines available are qualitatively good but there are few good values for the diner. The restaurant can get busy and it's all brick inside so it gets noisy. The staff collectively are the hardest working staff that I have experienced. Kudos to them for their professionalism. Make a reservation and don't be late: late arrivals may find their table has been reassigned.

Beautiful interior, great food, decent drinks. Overall a fantastic night!
9/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great dining experience!
I took my hubby here for birthday dinner and we were not disappointed! The steak/seafood and wine --- all delicious, and it was so thoughtful for our key lime pie desert to be on the house for his birthday, not many restaurants do that anymore! My favorite appetizer was the fried pickles!
9/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Lovely date spot
We had a great dinner for a special birthday. Our reservations were at 7:15 and we were seated immediately. As we were there early the noise level was not an issue. It was a lovely, romantic spot and our server was wonderful. The food was really good as well!
9/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
Delicious and Fun
Went with some girlfriends for dinner. Food was fantastic. I have gluten and dairy allergies and the waiter was great. My meal was delicious and so were the drinks. Cool atmosphere without being too noisy or crowded. Would definitely return Only downside is parking. - a pain in that neighborhood and no valet.
10/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
Better Steak Places Out There
The atmosphere and service were top notch. The food -- just OK. You can get a decent $34 filet at Lost Society or a top shelf piece of meat at Prime Rib and the like for around $40. Spend the extra couple bucks.
10/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
What a HoTTSpot!
Great Spot for a romantic date or catching up with girlfriends. The food is delicious. The vibe is energetic. The service is attentive without being overbearing.

U Street Gem
The mac and cheese was really good and the steak was cooked perfectly. No kids, and its has a lot going on. It's a restaurant, a bar, a sports hangout, a neighborhood hangout. Just has something for everyone.
10/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Once it was the spot...
This place is not cheap . . . and the clientele used to match. The majority of the patrons were no longer classy, instead they were loud and obnoxious even going to the point of nearly fighting with one another over a stool. The TV's had reality TV on... not exactly the ambiance for a tab for 2 that hit $150. Overall the food was very good - the crab in the NY Strip Oscar was incredible and the sides were wonderful. Steak was just okay... maybe a little too salty. The sangria drink special was special... but overpriced. All in all, we had a nice evening, but they either need to change their prices or their clientele if they want to stay in business.

A date I will never forget !
smilling faces, beautiful ambience, it instantly put me in the mood. Our waitress was excellent! I have recommended this venue to everyone!!

Excellent food and drinks
I went with a small group for a work related celebration. The bistro filet, lobster, brussels sprouts and drinks were all excellent. The service was prompt and helpful.

Yay for Emma!
We really enjoyed Lost Society. The food was delicious, and the portions large. The service was outstanding, and Emma was extremely attentive and prompt. Will definitely be back!

The roof deck can get a little
The roof deck can get a little "popped collar-y" but the steakhouse downstairs is excellent.
