We very much enjoyed our experience
We very much enjoyed our experience at Pied a Terre; it was fabulous! The sommelier was
very responsive with a small but creative wine list. Would definitely return on our next visit to Miami.

Don't miss this one
This was our second visit to this restaurant and it was worth the trip back! The food, service and overall experience was top notch. My husband had halibut and I had sea bass. Both were melt in your mouth tender and delicious. My lavender crieme brûlée was a terrific way to end the meal. A terrific French meal in a quiet tranquil setting.

Best Dining in South Beach!
Best dining experience we've ever had in South Beach. Patrick and Sylvia are wonderful hosts who want to share their passion for food and wine with you. The food was beautifully prepared, original and delicious. The personal service was memorable. Patrick helped us select fabulous wines and Sylvia made excellent food recommendations. This restaurant is a "must" for anyone visiting South Beach. We will definitely dine here the next time we're in town. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

tradicional Parisian in Miami beach
Very classic French Parisian style decoration. The opposite of what you find generally in Miami Beach

Wonderful little gem!! Food
Wonderful little gem!! Food and wine were great and the service was fabulous. Our waitress just made the whole experience memorable.
We were visiting from Chicago and will definitely go back next time we're in Miami.

Simply the best
All dishes are an invitation to happiness. Created by a three-star chef, each plate content vie to outdo each other in surprises and in fantastic discoveries. A sublime trip to the paradise for a meal during which Sylvia and Patrick will be your guides. Thank you to you for this experience.

Something different and wonderful
Once again this Miami restaurant continues to impress. Miami restaurants are normally known for there flash, high prices and mediocre food but this one is different. The food is varied and wonderful and the service is outstanding. Its hard to believe your eating in Miami.

Overall Excellent experience.
Overall Excellent experience. The attention to detail throughout is exceptional. Linens, flowers, special monogramed plates, silverware and even the butter. It was top notch for the dining I have experienced in Miami. Patrick was truly exceptional with his wine suggestions and pairings and Sylvia was equally awesome with her recommendations as to what to order. They both shared on a personal level and that made this experience more memorable and personable. The kitchen was superb with the taste, temperature and presentation. The quality & presentation of the fois gras was without difference from my experience of the same at elite 4 star Michelin rated castle dining in Southern France.

It was very quiet this evening
It was very quiet this evening only, 2 tables booked, since the resataurant is veryt small this didn´t matter.. Excellent selection of wines from a very solid list, all wines are available by the glass. Very good food.
4/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
Very small restaurant, but the food selection, quality & taste is top class. Good French food.
Do trust the waiters reco in terms of food.

Unique and delightful
Patrick has managed to create a little gem for the discerning. Food is unique, service is both warm and correct. Wine list is remarkable and Patrick enjoys matching the wine to your taste and budget. We had a romantic corner table inside but there are tables on the porch and by the pool too. Silvia was delightful and made super suggestions for which courses to split and how to combine them. Great evening overall.
5/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
Everything breath France, with there default but mostly the qualities!!!
5/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
Four of us--from New York, Budapest, Brussels and Miami--met here to celebrate an important event, and agreed we'd found world-class dining in South Beach, much to our surprise! The food perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, an outstanding wine list expertly paired with our various selections and a maitre d' whose guidance was an important, delightful enhancement of the dining experience. This restaurant would hold its own anywhere.
5/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
An authentic french restaurant
The service is provided by authentic french maitre and waiters they will guided you on all the particularities of the menu and whine list. you have to be relaxed and take their advice for food and for wine. The ingredients are top notch and the cooking is also perfect.
I try the foie gras terrine and the duck confit both where wonderfully presented and they tested as if you ordered in france.
The restaruant was a revelation for its location and coming there was a complete experience.
Congratulations to the restaurant, the make all the efforts to provide a wonderful experience and the really do it.

Excellent French Food in Miami
This was the second time we visited the restaurant and were not disappointed. Dishes are rightly proportioned and full of flavors. Need to try the seabass and the chocolat au macaron. Will definitly go back.
6/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
A tremendous dining experience
We went for a special occasion and were treated very warmly. The food and wine were absolutely out of this world. We did a tasting and it was well worth it. We arrived early (7:00 pm) and had the staff's undivided attention. As the evening progressed (we were there for almost four hours!) the place got packed and the staff was a bit overwhelmed (the reason for the four as opposed to five stars for service). However, do NOT let this deter you as it will not deter us as we plan to return very soon.

Pied a terre
Super place ! The unique restaurante in MIami beach ,french like in Paris.Excelent
6/4/2013 4:00:00 PM
Fantastic in every way!
Operated by authentic French, it is hands down one of the best in Miami.
They have some unusual cocktails and an interesting wine selection.
The food was unbelievably good. The vegetable tart was to die for, with a mint basil sorbet on top. The terrine of foie gras was also excellent.
The rack of lamb was the most tender I have ever had. The Sea Bass was great and perfectly seasoned.
For dessert we had the chocolate ice cream with banana sauce, get the suggested wine pairing with it, it goes very well with the chocolate.
The service was impeccable and you can tell that they take pride in the what they prepare and want to make sure you are happy.
Do not hesitate to try this restaurant out, you will be very glad you did.
6/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food and service!
Our server Sylvia was fantastic, very fun and professional. I loved how she didn't hesitate to recommend her favorite dishes which were right on point. She also paired some great wines with our meal and made the whole experience so much better. The decor is so nice and intimate and very cosy while elegant and sophisticated. Great find and I will definitely be back soon with a group or my girlfriend.

Shhh Don't tell a soul
A truly rare find in the heart of south beach, pied a terre is a bit of a throw back restaurant with an inventive concept and remarkable food. With about eight tables the restaurant is romantic charming and inviting. The service is impeccable from the mostly French speaking staff. Kudos to everyone and do yourself and a loved one a favor and go to this hidden south beach gem.
6/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
No signs, no advertising, completely hidden inside the Cadet Hotel. It was indeed a "treasure hunt" though, since the food was so excellent, and the waiting staff knowledgeable and super friendly. Definitely try the rack of lamb, it's heavenly!
6/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
What a great dining experience
What a great dining experience at Pied a Terre. The dining room is so tastefully decorated and is so comfortable to be in. Patrick and Eric were very welcoming, friendly and informative about the menu and the building. Now the most important part - the food. Oh, so wonderful! We will return to this restaurant each and every time we are in Miami Beach for the fantastic food and service. Could not have wished for more.
7/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
A magificent Dinner
Three of us had a magnificent feast at Pied a Terre on a Thursday night. Thanks to perfectly prepared foods (Hudson Valley foie gras, Blue Crab soup, Leg of Lamb, Roasted Duck) , grand desserts and great wines. The wine list well deserves its Wine Spectator 2013 Excellence award. Patrick Gruest guided us through this exquisite dinner, with great wine advice. We'll be back!
7/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
Not often do you find a small quaint restaurant in Miami with such great food. This was my fourth time and it continues to impress.
8/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
Pied A Terre is a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is a gem of a restaurant is tucked away in the upstairs of the Cadet hotel. There are only 10 tables, but if you are lucky enough to be seated at one if them, you will definitely have a great experience.
The food is excellent, the staff is very welcoming and the manager Patrique is just the perfect person to make your French dining experience a memorable & authentic one.
My wife and I shared two meals. Lamb Chops and Lobster & Mushroom Risotto. Both excellent, but truthfully every entree on their menu sounded wonderful.
We will definitely be back. Thank you for an excellent dining experience!
8/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Very good French cuisine
I live in Paris and I can say that Pied a Terre is as good as the restaurant of Chef Constant.
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Best French food in South Beach
This place is not on any map, tucked away in a small hotel. Best French cuisine in South Florida. They cook the way the French cook today - light, fresh ingredients. Great sauces without a bunch of cream and butter like French food from two decades ago.
The wine list is small but full of amazing choices. Don't look for the well known vineyards. They aren't there. Only hand picked choices by the Sommelier, Patrick Gruest.
We had their tasting menu paired with wines chosen and served by Patrick. Excellent food made even better by Patrick's wine choices. The service was very tight, well timed and professional. Not chatty and sloppy like many of the Miami restaurants.

Quiet Top-Notch French Restaurant
Nestled in the back of the Cadet Hotel in South Beach, this fine dining French restaurant feels like you are dining in the host's private dining room. Elegant surroundings and impeccable food, prepared by hand. Great wine list with some unusual value picks such as an 09 Rosso di Montalcino. Diverse classic menu selections. Rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and displayed. Dining also is available in the courtyard of the hotel. With few top-notch French restaurants in Miami Beach, this easily qualifies as the neighborhood gem that it is. Reservations essential during high season.
8/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
Exquisite dining experience in a romantic quaint setting. Our party of four was pampered, guided and expertly served with a “contemporary” Paris cuisine that will be remembered for years to come. Patrick Gruest was refreshingly creative with his wine pairings from Foie Gras (pan seared and cold) to chocolate desert (2002 Helyos Banyuls). Every dish of our 6 course tasting was complicated and simple at the same time, and expertly divided between dishes. I will never return to South Miami Beach without a meal here.
Kudos Patrick, and thank you!

A Class Act
This restaurant is by far one of the best restaurants ever. The food is superb, atmosphere elegant and the service is ultimately the finest. We can't wait to go back to Miami to visit this restaurant.
9/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
Amazing in every way
We had researched this restaurant extensively and were not disappointed. Patrick's suggestions were spot on... From cocktails, to the wine , to appetizers, to entres, then desert. This has become one of our favorite places.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
Intense Level of Service
We dinned on a Thursday night, while the restaurant is very small and intimate, there were only three tables. The owner/maître de was supported by one young gentleman. The maître de was knowledgeable and intense. He clearly demands a high degree of performance on the part of his staff. I asked the maître de for a wine recommendation. He asked, and I indicated a price range. His recommendation was at the high-end of the range; it was a nice choice. As to the food, my wife enjoyed the crab soup as an appetizer. I had the vegetable tart with pea sorbet. The tart was very good, the pea sorbet unbelievable. We thought we would split an entre, but we were rebuffed by the maître de. Both the Sea Bass and Halibut dishes were excellent.
9/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
WOW! Just WOW!
We were going to Miami Beach from Weston for a party and we were looking to eat dinner first. I went to Open Table to find something a little different, there were so many to choose from. i liked the description and we gave it a shot. Well from the time we entered the hotel, the service, the meal... It was just off the charts! Great wine guy, (Patrick, who was actually french). I was blown away from beginning to end.

Unexpected Gem in South Beach
Wonderful service that was in stark contrast to the trendier restaurants that we dined at in South Beach. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were well looked after. The food was lovely as was their comprehensive wine list. Make your reservation. You are in for a treat.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Sometimes you read reviews on Open Table or Trip Advisor and you find yourself wondering if they are really true. The reviews for this restaurant are spot on.
Food is impeccably prepared with fresh ingredients often obtained on a seasonal basis only (eg wild mushrooms from Oregon only available for a couple of months per year).
Service is so personal it feels like you are eating at a friend's home rather than at a restaurant. Diners are usually repeat customers since no advertising is done by the restaurant.
The restaurant is not inexpensive but "you get what you pay for" certainly applies here. Make a night of it and you will have no regrets!
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Small, personal restaurant
Small, personal restaurant with impeccable service and food. Don't miss this place. It is easy to miss unless you know it is inside the Cadet Hotel.
10/31/2013 5:00:00 PM
11/1/2013 5:00:00 PM
A lovely little jewel box of a restaurant; like stepping into a piece of Paris.
The lighting while lovely, was too bright for such an intimate room and though the service was quite good, the food enjoyable and well-presented, it was hard not to feel somewhat robbed at $40 ish an entree after $30 to valet park. Dinner for 2 with a drink, moderately priced wine and no desert was near $250, which seems very pre-2005 to many of us not arriving in a Bentley.
11/13/2013 4:00:00 PM
great food and excellent wine
the restaurant offers very tasty food and wine lovers will find excelent wine for a reasonable price. The service was outstanding.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
The best of Miami!
Quality of food is exquisite, service impeccable, fabulous wine list and a unique ambiance... What else do you need?
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
One of the best meals ever
From the bread and French butter to the Foie Gras Bonbons (with a bit of delicious salad) to the Duck breast/confit with wild mushrooms and the Sea Bass...lick the plate clean-worthy. So very French and all of the flavors were well-designed.
We were too full for dessert but there were complimentary sweets we were unable to resist.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
Excellent as always
Pied a Terre is without a doubt one of the best kept restaurant secrets in Miami. Excellent in all respects on this visit and previous visits. Wonderful, innovative French food served by an attentive staff in a stylish, intimate setting.
11/26/2013 4:00:00 PM
Exceptional in all ways
This restaurant is comparable to the exceptional restaurants we recently visited in New York, London, Rome and San Francisco. The highly refined French food is inventive and flawlessly prepared. We wee amazed to find food this good in Miami!
11/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
A mixed bag
There's a lot to like and a little to be disappointed in regarding this restaurant.
Charming boutique hotel with great story and history. The restaurant itself is a romantic , quaint place where you feel more like you were invited by a friend than a customer. Service is old school, professional and sincere (a rarity in SoBe). The food itself is where the restaurant disappoints a bit. The descriptions of the dishes and the pricing lead you to anticipate a truly special experience. Instead, the food doesn't deliver on its promise and is just "good", "decent".
12/3/2013 4:00:00 PM
A Gastronomic trip to France
This restaurant is as fine as the top restaurants in France. The food was superb including the "amuse bouche". A rare fine for Southbeach.
12/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
Outstanding food and service
The attention to detail from the start was special.
Soon after we were seated our friendly waiter, Didier brought a treat from the chef, a single bite-sized hors d'oeuvre of avocado flavored somehow with lemon and basil. Every bite thereafter was delicious.
Try the vegetable tart, I can't describe how delicious it is!
12/5/2013 4:00:00 PM
experience in Pied a Terre
Probably the best restaurant in Miami. It's different and really everything's is a delight.
If you want to be seen, don't go there.
If you really like nice food, That's the place to go at Miami
