Great find, passed by one
Great find, passed by one evening and made a mental note to return. Made the happy hour and was glad we did. Great $5 margeritas, white fish ceviche and mini sopas. Tortilla soup was very filling but a tad salty. Great service in the bar.
We are going to return!

Capital Hill hot spot with lovely decor and attentive service. The Tequila and Cocktail list is quite impressive (we enjoyed specialty margaritas). The best queso fundido any of us had have ever eaten--ours had asparagus and crimini mushrooms with a wonderful flavor profile. Our Chicken Mole enchiladas were really quite memorable and our Lamb Colorado was good but by that time we had literally pigged out on several delicious house made salsas with chips and a guacamole. Could not stop eating those salsas! Three diners and we all agreed we will be back and bring new recruits to try this truly satisfying experience with a most reasonable price tag. So many intriguing menu items yet to be sampled.

Service was phenomenal
We went to Poquitos and sat outside in their back deck area. We had Dan as our server and he was amazing. He was attentive without hovering and we appreciated his recommending us to try things like the seasonal strawberry guac - which we never would have but were so glad we did. With service and food quality at a stellar level- I highly recommend!!!

Great guac. They have a daily
Great guac. They have a daily special guac too. We've had the pistachio/apricot, sounds odd, but was amazing! Fantastic fish tacos. Huge qasadillas (spelling, sorry) with steak or chicken added, they make a great meal too. The mole was spicy and delicious!!

Great Food and Ambience
Our group of four, a twenty something, thirty something, and two sixty somethings loved the experience. Very good food was matched by the terrific service we received. It was noisy, but in a good sort of way.

A little spice
The menu notes food which is spicy, vegan, gluten free with little symbols. Very helpful - but important to know that even food without a spicy symbol might be a little hotter than you expect. Overall the food is very good though.

Mexican food ... good find
The food was very good. Service was a little slow and lots of servers standing with backs to tables waiting for orders at the stand up server bar.
You have to ask for chips/salsa since it does not come free like most Mexican restaurants. It is on the menu though and not to expensive.
Drinks were superb!

Great food...great atmosphere
Loved that there was both traditional mexican fare and some unusual, authentic fare. The goat is awesome. Triple tacos outstanding.
Pork carnitas amazing. The decor is stunning. Great great experience!

We were glad to see everythimh on the menu from traditional Mexican to some exotic. We tried the fried grasshoppers and the wonderful octopus appy. Homemade salsas and guac were also great, although the chips seemed a little stale.
Great pure margaritas as well.

Reasonably priced tasty bites/bevs
We were seated very quickly because I had made a reservation. Although this was a weekday, the restaurant was vibrating with people chatting, eating and drinking. The food was great (some of the best tacos I've had in Cap Hill compared to other similarly priced places - Barrio) and came out quickly but the service was a bit lagging. I would definitely go back though!

Good, quality food, well prepared
This was a bit of a surprise. I've found to scene for Mexican food in Seattle rather dismal having moved from California recently. Poquitos was a great find. Not only was the food very flavorful but the provenance of the ingredients were impeccable. Nearly everything was organic and the meats were sourced from local farms that I know to be high quality and sustainable.
A note on the flavorings: I like spicy food. Many Mexican restaurants can only manage to make food hot. Poquitos understands the difference between spicy and hot. I ordered their Chipotle Prawns dish and the flavor was out of this world good; very spicy and flavorful.

Poquitos' patio dining!
We really enjoyed Poquitos. The serving sizes were reasonable and the food did not consist of huge volumes of greasy, heavy entrees that you typically see at Mexican dining establishments. I had the 3 taco platter (chicken, beef and pork) and it was light and there wasn't too much food. Also, the enclosed patio is lovely. I highly recommend this place for a nice Sunday brunch. It's family-friendly, too.
