Great location, great experience...
but very expensive for what you get. I enjoy afternoon tea and having British roots I am a big tea drinker, but other than the view of the strip this tea (et al... tea, sandwiches, pastries and scones) was nothing extra special and the service was mediocre.

Nice experience, lovely view-
Nice experience, lovely view- service could be more helpful/informative.

It is in the hotel lobby so
It is in the hotel lobby so everyone is checking in. That takes away from the experience. Tea and food was ok.

The desserts were fantastic--even
The desserts were fantastic--even better than other afternoon teas that I've been to. The scones were mediocre but overall, this deserves a second visit.

Worth a Visit
This was my second visit. Really enjoyed the time I spent there.
4/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
This was our second time at the Mandarin Oriental for afternoon tea - this time to celebrate my wife's sixtieth birthday. It was even better than the last time. We had the Champagne Afternoon Tea and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything. We told her that it was my wife's birthday and towards the end of tea they presented her with a beautifully decorated cup cake. It made a perfect afternoon even better.

It was better the second time
It was better the second time around! We enjoy afternoon teas, and try to experience them whenever we travel. The MO-LV is one of the nicer places that provide afternoon teas. The scones were the perfect size, not overly large nor too small. Bite sandwiches were quite tasty, we ordered more. Everything was nicely done.
4/25/2013 4:00:00 PM
Great spot ... the highlight is definitely the view. Drinks are great too. Creative, and not overly sweet (some good options for non-sweet cocktails). Food is pretty good ... just tasty bar nibbles. Nice, juicy sliders. The fries with bolognese are a bit weird (as well as under seasoned) ... the again, if you order something like fries bolognese, I guess all bets are off and you get what you get. :) Now, as for service ... let's just say that they leave you plenty of time to enjoy the view. I wouldn't mind waiting for food if at least the initial drink order and water hadn't taken 20 minutes to arrive on a medium-traffic early evening. But the servers were at least friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Hidden secret gem
In the heart of all the hustle, bustle and partying on Las Vegas strip, there is a space for treasured tranquility in the Mandarin Oriental. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and the the High Tea is fabulous! What a lovely way to entertain guests with a great view. Highly reccommended!
5/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
It was an relax moment
The presentation was very nice and the place had a great view on the strip. The pastries were yummy.
5/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
I took my mother to the Tea Lounge at the MO in Las Vegas as a birthday treat, and it was one of the most successful things I've ever done! First, the views of the strip are absolutely amazing - we were there late enough in the afternoon for it to start to go dark and the lights become visible. If you can, ask the hostess for a window table. The tea itself was wonderful and dainty, small bite-size sandwiches, wonderful warm sweet scones with house-made jam and imported clotted cream were finished off with an amazing selection of sweets and cakes. Everything presented on a cake stand at the table by a polite, knowledgable waitress who explained everything she was serving. The menu of available teas goes on for pages!
5/17/2013 4:00:00 PM
This was our first time at the Mandarin in Las Vegas, so we were unaware that Check-in was on the same floor (23rd) as the Tea Lounge. When the elevator opened, I thought to myself "Why would they put check-in right beside the tea lounge?" But surprisingly enough once we were seated by the window (amongst an amazing view!) I completely forgot that people were right behind me checking in. We were overwhelmed by the tea selection and winded up getting the House Blend, which was amazing! The entire process was beautiful and we were lucky enough to witness what looked like a Bridal Shower right beside us and even they weren't very loud or disturbing. We are returning to Vegas in June and we will definitely be back for tea!!
5/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
a different experience for Vegas
sandwiches dainty and fresh; choices of tea; desserts outrageous and one cannot beat the jellies and clotted cream
5/20/2013 4:00:00 PM
Best view in Las Vegas
We love this place...if you like afternoon tea..this is the place
5/26/2013 4:00:00 PM
Beautifully presented afternoon
Beautifully presented afternoon tea, only disappointment we could not get a window seat as requested. Would certainly recommend and go again
5/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
Wonderful afternoon tea service. Quite accommodating to the vegetarian in our party, server was attentive, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with a nice view of the strip.
6/1/2013 4:00:00 PM
Best Customer Service
We were late from construction and an accident on the strip, and the staff was nice enough to hold our reservation and the kitchen open for us. Best customer service in town! They Rock.

Highlight of my trip
I booked a Tea time brunch at Mandarin Oriental as part of my friend's bachlorette party. From the moment we walked it it was total Zen. The tea room looked gorgeous! Our server was fantastic and noted the special dietary concern we isted on our online reservation. She was patient and very knowledgeable about the different types of teas. The bites which accompanies the tea were absolutely to die for! Everything was first class and exceeded my expectations. The price was excellent! Well done!!!

Gratuity forced on you
A restaurant should NEVER take a gratuity by themselves and put it in your bill. Shame!!
The food was good and the service was good....but I determine what the gratuity is..... not the restaurant.
They need to remove this fee before I return.

Nothing quite like it
You start with a 23rd floor view of the LV strip overlooking Crystals, Paris, Planet Hollywood, etc. Then you have one of the most relaxing hours of your trip to Vegas. Tea, sandwiches, scones to die for, and desserts. All in quite serenity of the Mandarin Oriental. Tea is served starting at 2:00- so my wife and I start an evening before one of the 7:00 shows here- then head to dinner afterwards.
For folks that love tea, decent tea is more rare than a royal flush in LV. Here is one place where you can have a formal tea and an incredible view.

Excellent Afternoon Tea in Vegas
A quiet, tasteful yet casual setting for afternoon tea high above the Las Vegas strip. Service includes choice of several types of teas brewed to order along with a set selection of finger sandwiches, scones and pastries. The quantity of food was moderate yet filling. The quality and taste of the food were superb. A very pleasant afternoon break from the frenetic energy of the strip.
7/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
If you want to do something different and quiet in a not so quiet town have afternoon tea here. Very pretty space, pretty food that tasted as good. A few additional tea selections would have been nice but overall a lovely way to spend an afternoon in Vegas.

A wonderful tea expeirence
Omg they have the best maccroons I have had in this town. My girlfrien and I both did the afternoon tea. It was advertised at 36 per person but came out to 102$ since gratuity was included and some macaroons were ordered. The portions are small of course but there is such a wonderful selection we actually got full. The servers were very polite and very attentive. I would definitely come here on a weekly basis. It's a wonderful experience.

Tea with the Girls
Afternoon tea was wonderful at the Mandarin. We had a great view the service and ambience made the afternoon very special. It was a wonderful oasis to talk and catch up with my friends. We will be coming as regulars I hope. The price was very reasonable at 36 a person.
7/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great Tea!! Had both fresh Asian teas and English versions. A fun twist on an old English favorite.
8/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
Service was excellent. Minus one star for broken credit card reader. Also beware that gratuity is already in the bill.
8/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Good but confusing.
While outstanding, I was a little disappointed in the confusion of ordering. We did explain this was our first time in a Tea Room and were unsure with the ordering. The server took her time to explain which was nice but we still ended up with way too much tea and food, even for a group of seven people. While we were okay with paying for the amount as we took some of the blame for not being more specific or asking clear questions, it could be a ruin a great experience for someone else who wanted to try this and not be truly prepared to pay for this.

Contemporary Modern Tea Time
The Mandarin Oriental is generally an oasis of calm and tranquility. The Tea Lounge however can get quite vibrant as it sits in the Skylobby of the hotels reception area. The tea service is Asian inspired British style high tea with great and some unusual (but fantastic) tea selections and decent selection of finger sandwiches, scones and desserts. Perhaps not as old school British as one would like, but certainly worth the experience and the scenic view of the strip. Exceptional service staff. Making this one of my regular hangouts.

An Oasis in Vegas
Stunning view, an opulent room, creative pastries and authentic Devon cream. The only sad part was the waitress didn't know much about tea. I had an iron goddess (semi-fermented oolong) that I sent back the first time as it was basically a pot of hot water. The second time it came with color but no flavour. I was disappointed because at $46 I hoped for a gorgeous cup of tea. Despite this substantial complaint I still have to recommend the Mandarin. Overall, it was a lovely experience. P.S. the scones were top shelf!

Great Couple Time
During the day in Las Vegas, it can be hard to find a quiet place for some couple time. This Tea Room fits the bill perfectly. Warm and hospitable with properly dressed servers, providing exceptional and appropriate Afternoon Tea munchies. Everything was great. The selection of Teas was outstanding. They really deliver an old world level of food and service in a very modern atmosphere. We will always return, when in Las vegas.

Tea after wedding
An excellent venue to celebrate with a small number of friends and family.

Had a wonderful afternoon
The tea and food were delicious, the view was spectacular, and the atmosphere and couches were wonderfully relaxing. Recommend it to all tea lovers!

A must do on the Strip
Great view of the Strip since you are on the 23rd floor. The scones are great and they have a good selection of teas. The Monkey Picked Oolong is definitely my favorite for the hot teas and the iced mango tea is very good as well.
9/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
I was looking forward to afternoon tea here and knew the price going in. What I didn't know was how small the sandwiches are - REALLY small. But the selection is nice. The scones were not real English scones - these were too thin. But in general the food was nice. We had the Mandarin Orange tea, which was nice, but two people equals two pots, which is too much tea.
I love the carpeting and decor, and the view is nice. For me the major downside is the location. The room is open to the lobby, so there's not really privacy or quiet. If the room was more enclosed as a separate space I think it would be better.
Would recommend as an experience, though it's $90 for 2 people including automatic 18% gratuity.
9/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
a touch of class
Stunning views of Vegas, the English afternoon tea was wonderful, from the blooming fragrant teas to the delicate little pastries, staff were lovely and attentive, highly recommend a visit to this beautiful tea room.

Sweet & beautiful
This was a perfect way to escape from the typically noisy vegas venue. The space isn't very big so it helps keep the noise down. They have a very open lounge/living room design for the space complete with comfy couches and a great view it's is great for reflecting and having a conversation over a great selection of teas. I also tried the scones which are made fresh and served hot with an assortment of jams & preserves. They are very knowledgeable about how the proper temperature and time to steep each type of tea and go over those specifications when your tea arrives; which I thought was very neat.
9/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
great QUIET afternoon tea
Had afternoon tea that was a little pricey but a great escape from the noise of vegas

Excellent tea room, small, cozy, incredible view. Service was exceptional

Afternoon tea with a view!
We had a table at the window with a great view of the strip. We ordered champagne afternoon tea and it was lovely. Everything was really elegant and well presented, with a great selection of little sandwiches, lovely freshly baked scones and beautiful cakes & pastries. They also offered a great selection of loose leaf tea. We had Golden Assam, which was the best cup of tea I've ever had! Our waitress was lovely and very attentive and even brought me a long stemmed red rose and a beautiful cupcake to celebrate our anniversary! I'd highly recommend the Tea Lounge, it's a great spot to spend a relaxing hour or two in the afternoon

Put this on your bucket list
This is an outstanding high tea. You have to do this once in your life.

The Place to Go for HIGH TEA
If you want the HIGH TEA Experience in Las Vegas, I HIGHLY recommend the TEA LOUNGE at the MANDARIN ORIENTAL. This was my 2nd visit to the Tea Lounge this year and needless to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. For an hour or so you can retreat from the hustle & bustle of Las Vegas and relax & enjoy DELIGHTFUL & FLAVORFUL Teas with scones & other treats. Besides the wonderful teas, let's not forget the INCREDIBLE view as you are looking out over Las Vegas Boulevard from the 23rd floor of the hotel. It should be noted that you need to put in your request for that front row view ASAP. There's no guarantee that you will get it but anywhere you sit in the Tea Lounge you'll still see that view. Next time in VEGAS put the Tea Lounge on your list.

Note Worthy Treasure
Mandarin Oriental has so many little hidden treasures inside such a Beautiful hotel. I would recommend the Tea Lounge to anyone visiting or to locals to meet up for a great experience in service and dining with a Phenomenal selection of loose leaf teas, which they educate you on if not ever had fresh brewed hot teas. The environment is very relaxed and Great View of Vegas.
This is a Perfect start to a Wonderful evening out or to unwind a week of stress. This is truly a Treasure that not many know about.
10/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was such a different but special place to have afternoon tea. The staff were so attentive and the food was gorgeous, never thought egg sandwiches could taste this good. Loads of tea on offer with the chance to try plenty of varieties.
A great idea for a special occasion - made us forget we were in Vegas.
10/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
I adore it here. I stop for tea whenever I go to the Spa in the hotel.
The food is good, though they don't have a great deal of choice for vegetarians.
It is Las Vegas, though, so they're doing better than most. :-)
I've been here three times, and I always end up sitting in the little table in the middle of the room.
Even when there are other spaces suitable for one person available.
I'll still be back, it's a very charming place.
10/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
So much fun!!
Great place to sit and relax! Great view! My friend and I went at 4 pm. Perfect because we saw the lights on the strip come on at night. Very small place, but really nice. They have other items than tea on the menu and high tea is only served at a certain time.
I gave it a 4 for food because I had tea at a place in Boulder City (closed now) that offered much better sandwiches (both hot and cold). I gave the service a 4 because we only had 1 pot of tea. Would have loved another but she was busy and we were on a time limit. Other than that, the service was great and so was the atmosphere!
Would definitely recommend and would go back!

Missing the tea experience
Don't book at 4:30!!!the tea experience is from 10:00 to 5:00 pm and earlier on slow days. Even though there is a nice place to have a drink with a great view included!
11/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
The Tea Lounge was a great afternoon break from the hectic Strip. It was very quiet, even though it's located in an open space right next to the hotel check-in desk. The staff was very friendly and poised. The food and tea were delicious! The scones were by far the best part - warm and buttery. We sat right next to the window, which on a clear day, offered a gorgeous view of the North Strip. Next to our table was a birthday party with three little girls. This place is definitely recommended for all ages!
11/23/2013 4:00:00 PM
Afternoon Tea at the Tea Lounge was amazing! The service was fantastic. We did the Nutcracker tea service and ordered the Daywalker cocktails. Everything was delicious.
The view is a great one looking towards Paris. While they were adjusting the blinds thre was a lot of glare from the glass building across. But it was still an excellent time having proper tea.
