Cesarios is a wonderful place
Cesarios is a wonderful place to eat if you are downtown near Union Square and want a quiet place to eat and talk. It fit the bill. The main courses were very good, but the salads left something to be desired. The lettuce was very wilted.

There's nothing that note
There's nothing that note worthy to write about Cesario's. It's mostly a place filled with tourists who don't know, or at least seem to have no where better to go. There were no issues, and the food is typical Americanized Italian, with not much in the way of creativity. While not bad and still enjoyable to eat, there isn't anything memorable about the food for the price paid. It tastes good, and as you'd expect it to be. You'll be able to have a decent time here. While it's a bit overpriced, consider the area it's in rather than the food you'll be getting. Service is fine, don't go thinking you're in for a gastronomic experience or anything like what you'll find in North Beach.

We chose to eat at Cesario's
We chose to eat at Cesario's because it was close to the Curran theater. It was great. I had the chicken parmesan which was a large portion and very very good. The restaurant is nice looking and the staff helpful and pleasant. This will be my place to go before shows from now on.

One of the good things about
One of the good things about Cesario's is the location. If you don't want to treck to North Beach for some good Italian food, Cesario's is a good option.
It is a small restaurant, so either go early or get a reservation.

We were a group of 8 and we
We were a group of 8 and we were accommodated easily, service and food were both good. I was surprised at how delicious the food actually was--this is a gem of a place that I'll be returning to, with friends, over and over. My caesar salad and eggplant penne were excellent. Portions were right sized. Bread excellent. No complaints and glad to find a new go-to place!

Nice moderately priced wine
Nice moderately priced wine list and excellent entrees. A repeat.

We went to Cesario's before
We went to Cesario's before going to the theater, and were there early, 5:30. By the time we left, 6:45, most tables were full. Very good food, service was very good--we were pleased with the experience. I had veal marsala--delicious--my husband had a prawns/linguine dish, which he also liked quite a bit.

Flavours were wonderful.
Flavours were wonderful. Pork loin a bit over done for my taste but wonderful seasoning.
Friend's salmon was yummy; other friend's pasta was also yummy. We had an hour to have dinner as we were on our way to Marines Memorial Theatre. When we informed the waitress of this, there was no delay in taking our orders and our receiving our meals.
I suggest reservations (which we had) as the place is small - well worth a visit.

We chose Cesario's because it was within walking distance of the hotel. We had a very enjoyable meal and found the service to be pleasant. Enjoyed the bruchetta (sp??) appetizer a lot. My chicken parmisian (can't spell my Italian recipes tonight) was good. My husbands lasagna was OK. He has very particular ideas of what he wants in this dish and it wasn't to his taste. Our other diner enjoyed his lasagna and his wife like her ravioli. I would eat there again if I was in the neighborhood.

Great Italian food and ambiance
Cesario's came well recommended and lived up to expectations. I dined while traveling for business and wanted fine Italian within walking distance of the JW Marriott at Union Square. The quiet atmosphere was set off perfectly by the music (playing an assortment of the Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, and classical varieties). I recommend the Calamari fritti, Linguine Al Pancetta, and steamed mussels. Overall a great dining experience.

We ate there twice in three days!
My husband and I were in San Francisco for a conference and we ate there because it was close to our hotel and had good ratings. We were pleased to discover that we really enjoyed their food and went back again and had another enjoyable meal with friends. We started with bruschetta each night, accompanied by a nice glass of wine; they have a good and reasonably priced wine list. We enjoyed the capellini pomodora both nights, mussels and clams and the butterflied prawns. All the dishes were prepared well, and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Both nights I splurged and had their creme brûlée, while my husband had the chocolate mousse cake. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to locals and travelers alike!

Wish I lived in the neighborhood
Would love to be able to drop in anytime. The food was elegant and the staff was attentive.

Good Italian food option in this pa
I've had dinner at Cesario's several times. If you're in this part of San Francisco, it's a good option. Many restaurants in this neighborhood cater to tourists (i.e., people who won't be back) and the food reflects that. Ceasario's seems to serve more SF residents than most places in the neighborhood. I can't rave about the food, but everyone has liked what they ordered every time. Service is good. I'll return.

Great little spot
We went here later in the evening and closed the restaurant. Even so, the service and food were very good. We felt no rush and we had a very nice wine. Cesario's is not a big place. So, if you planning an intimate meal with 10 or so friends, there may be some difficulty getting the group seated.

Cesario's is quite handy to
Cesario's is quite handy to the downtown theater district. Its all-day breakfast-lunch-dinner hours as the house restaurant for the Marines Memorial Club make it eminently available to early and late diners with curtain times on their minds.

Good Lunch at downtown restaurant
This was my first time at Cesario's and invited a friend for lunch there before a Sunday matinee show at the new Society Cabaret in the Rex Hotel. It turned out to be a very good choice, only 1/2 block from the cabaret and the lunch food was excellent. My friend had a steak sandwich that she said was perfectly prepared, and very tender. I ordered the squash ravioli special of the day with vegetables and thought the sauce very tasty and ravioli cooked just right. It was not too expensive either so I would definitely go back if I am downtown, especially going to the theaters in the area.

We try to visit Cesario's
We try to visit Cesario's on each trip we take to San Francisco. The food has always been excellent; prepared just right and very tasty. That was still true when we made this visit. However, for the first tine we found ourselves somewhat disappointed by the service. As we had made reservations we expected to be seated in a reasonably comfortable table. However, we found ourselves crowded into a table in a corner with little room to place our legs comfortably under the table. More disappointing however was the time it took to serve us. We were seated, given a bread basket, and pretty much ignored for almost 15 minutes. Once we actually received service, it continued at the level to which we had become accustomed on our previous visits.

Great meal, special spot
My friend and I ate here during a weekend trip to SF. We enjoyed a great meal. The service was friendly and prompt. It is not the fanciest or most gourmet Italian restaurant in SF, but just perfect to relax and refresh at the end our day.
