Our server, Brenda, was top notch...charming and very accommodating. The on-line reservation system was easy to use. I communicated two special requests via the on-line system which were more than accommodated by the Inn, including preparing a special dark chocolate cake for my husband's birthday, complete with candles; it was delicious.

Each season Mary's introduces
Each season Mary's introduces their new menu with special dinners that include an appetizer and an entree for an extremely reasonable price. We make it a priority to attend these special nights as the food is always excellent and it is such a great deal for a terrific meal. I would highly recommend them. When we visited on March 13, 2013 they were introducing their new spring menu. They had special entrees that included not one, but two of their entrees. It was really great. The food was excellent and there were many options to choose frome. And there was a beautiful roaring fire in the fireplace. We had a lovely evening and will definitely keep attending these great dinner specials.

My wife and I went to the
My wife and I went to the Inn for dinner, overnight and full Vermont country breakfast. The menu was the preview of their spring menu. We both got cream of garlic soup - a perennial favorite. My wife enjoyed her entree - a classy pulled pork sandwich. My entree was the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which was to die for, made with three different cheeses. The cheese was very subtle and did not overwhelm the lobster. We were the only guests in the dining room for breakfast. There was fresh snow on the ground outside the inn, which is in a beautiful location. Chef/Owner Doug Mack prepared and served the breakfast for us, which included freshly baked biscuits, fruit and a selection of entrees. My omelet was perfect, made with locally-sourced sausage.

This was our first time at Mary's and we were very pleased. The food exceeded our expectations and the price was very reasonable for a four course meal.
We will certainly be returning.

One of my favorite restaurants in Vermont. Been going to Mary's since the early '80s. If I lived closer, I's go more often. This is a truly exceptional restaurant if you like food. And the service is top notch.

Lovely country setting with
Lovely country setting with several rooms for seating. For Easter dinner the fixed menu was a little pricey however the food was delicious at each of the 5 courses! The wait staff was knowledgable and delightful. It was a wonderful dinner for a special occasion while visiting Vermont on the holiday weekend.

Great dining experience
We are regular patrons of Mary's Restaurant. Linda and Doug are fixtures in the Vermont localvore/restaurant scene. We congratulate them on their 30 year anniversary of fine food and hospitality! We've greatly enjoyed getting to know Linda and Doug; they are wonderfully warm and engaging. We aspire to join them on one of their culinary tours of Tuscany.

A great meal in a beautiful setting
This was a recommendation of an innkeeper in the area for our anniversay dinner, and t did nto dissapoint. Location was lovely, and were it not for the rainy weather that night, I would have loved to sit outside and enjoy the gardens. Food was terrific and the service was spot on.

Fresh & Flavorful!
Love fresh, local food prepared with creativity and fantastic flavor combinations! Even the "spirited" drinks were amazing! Definitely will return and introduce to visiting family and friends.

We always enjoy our visit here, even though it is a half hour drive. Lovely rural location in an old farmhouse setting. Large dining room with plenty of space and excellent friendly service. Variable menu of starters and entrees often accompanied with lots of wonderful fresh vegetables. Moderately priced wine and menu selections.

Went to Mary's with our "New York" friends they loved it as much as we do. Everyone thought their meals were terrific and they insist next time they come up for a visit we need to go again. Everything was perfect from the food to the service to the ambiance.

Vermonts Go To
Marys restaurant checks all the boxes for quality dining in Vermont. Call ahead to make reservations but get there a little early to have one of their signature locally inspired cocktails while enjoying their gardens or relaxing on the front porch that overlooks the creek. Inside you'll find an intimate dining room that comfortably seats large parties to a party of two sharing a romantic evening together. The menu is seasonal and satisfies all palettes from light vegetarian fare to rich indulgence . Anything you order will be a success and well worth the money but if I may make a suggestion...end your night with their homemade lulu ice cream it's deliciously sinful .

slow food deliciousness
I had a wonderful dinner at Mary's. The restaurant serves some of the best food in the area in my personal opinion and without an air of pretentiousness that many newer and less talented restaurants have.
Every dish was delicious, there was nothing mediocre on the menu. The menu was inventive and fun, great list of cocktails that were creative. Furthermore, the restaurants veggies and menu are all seasonal so there wasn't anything on our plate that hadn't been sourced within 20 miles.
The night we were there we were lucky to meet the duck farmer that had raised the duck I was eating, you can't get more local or Slow Foodie than that. I can't wait to go again and to also taking a cooking class which sounds amazing!

Spectacular Anniversary Dinner
Every detail, from the food to the service, was excellent. My husband and I plan to return for another special meal. We'll have wonderful memories of our anniversary for a lifetime. Don't forget to walk the grounds!!

Wonderful, charming, special
My wife and I finally ventured west over the mountains from the Mad River Valley, don't know what took us so long! Wonderful, imaginative, artfully prepared dishes. We were there on a Thursday evening, very quiet, friendly and comfortable. We'll be back!

The Inn at Baldwin Creek is
The Inn at Baldwin Creek is a country inn nestled on the west side of the Green Mountains outside Bristol, Vt. Mary's Restaurant caters to both lodgers and visitors. The atmosphere is rustic and comfortable; the waitstaff is enthusiastic and pleasant; the food is excellent; farm to table, using local producers, especially recommend the cream of garlic soup and the lamb. The entire evening was a pleasure.

Great Food, Great People, Great Fun
Linda and Doug have never disappointed. Mary's Restaurant at the Inn at Baldwin Creek offers seasonal menus using local ingredients as much as possible and a lot of creativity. Portions are satisfying and don't usually leave room for dessert. Although it's hard to pass them up. The bar is fully stocked, the wine list compete and the mixologist has a penchant for coming up with new, unusual and delicious concoctions. From the garlic soup (a menu staple), the warm bread with herbed butter to Linda' Crepe, Mary's is a treat for visitors and the place for locals to meet.

Fall dining at Baldwin Creek
We enjoyed everything about our visit to Mary's at Baldwin Creek. The greeting was prompt and gracious. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The menu was full and varied with excellent entrees and farm to table food freshness. The wine was perfectly fitted to our meal choice. The food preparation was just as ordered and timely. It would be difficult to find a better spot in Vermont or New England and our dining group has tried many places. A big thank you to the entire team at Mary and Doug's for providing us a great evening.

Always Mary's at Baldwin Creek
Any time we want to go out for dinner we choose Mary's at Baldwin Creek. The food is excellent. They make dietary accommodations when possible. My husband can always find a gluten free item on the menu and I have no problem finding a vegetarian dish. I highly recommend the garlic soup and house salad (the dressing is very good). The fresh bread they bring to your table is delicious but be careful, you may find you don't have room for dinner after eating it! The service is also excellent. One of the owners (the wife of the chef) is always in the restaurant and is very friendly without being intrusive.

Quaint and lovely
Our dinner at Mary's at the Inn at Baldwin Creek was delicious! We were seated immediately, the service was very good and we were not rushed even though the place was busy. We went there to celebrate a special anniversary and the only aspect that was a bit disappointing was that the atmosphere was much less romantic than we were expecting. Conversation in the full dining room was fairly loud; it was perhaps too well lit (though it's hard to please everyone), and - not at all the restaurant's fault, but - there was a family with an extremely energetic 4-year-old, with them very close by during our entire meal. All of that combined kind of wrecked any chance at a 'romantic' anniversary dinner though, overall it was a pleasant experience.

Mary's / The Inn at Baldwin
A wonderful dining experience. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the ambiance quinticential Vermont.
The best thing about our dining experience was the service. The food was very good, highly recommend the butternut squash soup as a starter. Our main courses were all well prepared nicely presented. Save room for dessert, each had its own unique twist to a traditional dessert and enjoyed by all.

Fabulous Menu, Service and Ambiance
I love taking guests who visit from out of state to Mary's. It's a perfect Vermont restaurant in a beautiful inn located in a scenic area. The food is excellent, always a different menu depending on the season, and always excellent service. The only thing that took away from the experience was the noise level. The acoustics of the main dining room was noisy and made it difficult for my friends and I to talk. Other than that, it was perfect and we had a wonderful meal!

Excellent Food - Cozy Hidden Gem
We have been to this restaurant a number of times and it has never disappointed. Located in a cozy Vermont Inn, you might not even know it's there, but is absolutely worth a visit. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent cocktails! Seasonal menu highlights the best Vermont has to offer. There is a garlic soup that has been on the menu since the restaurant opened - you must try! Romantic, comfortable, a true Vermont foodie experience.

Husband and I always feel welcome at Mary's. We start at the bar, and Chef Doug comes from the kitchen to say hello and talk about hockey (with my husband) and photography (with me) and a bit about food, of course. It feels as if we're friends rather than patrons. The food is invariably delicious. Husband had the hamburger and beer special. He enjoys a fine burger, and Mary's doesn't disappoint. I started with kale salad sprinkled with candied walnuts and shaved gouda and then had the gnocchi, a generous appetizer. With homemade bread fresh from the oven, I was delightfully satisfied. But there's always room for a scoop of Lulu's ice cream, and you can't do better than salted caramel. Every visit to Mary's feels like a special occasion.
