Our experience was excellent.
Our experience was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent. I had the special branzino. with lobster risotto and red pepper sauce. Fabulous and perfect portion size. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was excellent and everyone was so friendly. Very typical of our experience in aspen with one glaring exception which unfortunately was with their sister restaurant 316. They didn't have our reservation in their computer which I made over a month ago even though they did have my information in their system from my visit to aspen 5 yrs ago. Mistakes happen but the maitre de or manager was totally rude loud and unbelievably uncooperative. She definitely needs a course in customer service.

Our only negative: went at
Our only negative: went at 6:15. Was not busy. There were 2 of us & they stuck us in a tiny table by a door. Would not stay next time in such a cramped table when they were not at all full at that hour.
Food was delicious & the manager steered us to a good bottle of wine that was not expensive.

The only issue with this wonderful
The only issue with this wonderful restaurant - with a really great chef - is the lighting. It is TOO DARK! And, it becomes progressively darker as the everning goes along. I am sure it is intentional. We had to use the "light" on our iphone to read the menu. The couple behind us noticed and did the same thing. That could easily be corrected. It's also nice to SEE your food. Otherwise, a pleasure to be there. And, it SO MUCH better than its sibling Brexi.

Excellent food. We had the
Excellent food. We had the tagliatelle, the risotto, lamb shank and the whole fish. Started with the big charcuterie board. All of the food was very well prepared and presented. My one issue is that, for a resort location, this was not particularly kid friendly. Not only were there no kid options on the menu but the atmosphere/attitude seemed to be one of just tolerating rather than welcome children. This is unusual for the Aspen/Snowmass area, which sees a lot of families on vacation.

Great food, good value for Aspen
Went with my wife and 12 year old twins. We were the first group in the restaurant but it quickly filled up. The food was excellent and the service attentive but not over the top. We had a very nice meal and we thought that it was good value for Aspen

The Wild Fig is a local a favorite. Understated and simple. The Sevice is always good and the value is fair.

A personal favorite
We live in town and love this place.
Great fish in a bag and risotto specials.
We have lunch here frequently after the Saturday morning Masters Opera Class at the Wheeler Opera House which is located directly across the street from the Wild Fig.

Too dark so we could see menu. They brought one flashlight for 2 of us. Weird. Fig salad was boring. Fisherman s stew tasted like frozen seafood in a delicious broth. Pretty place-- Great staff. Not worth your time or money when there are other outstanding places to eat.

Fine food, great service
We have eaten there twice. First time in low season and we were only diners. Very romantic. This time with friends and Restaurant packed. The food and wine were wonderful and the service was very attentive and yet not intrusive. Highly recommended.

We went earlier in the evening
We went earlier in the evening to make sure we got a table. Ribeye was amazing! Great wine list and courteous service. I will be back.

Every Thing Just Comes Together
While attending the Aspen Ideas Festival, a group of three of us had a spectacular late night dining experience at The Wild Fig. We look forward to visiting the restaurant each time we are in Aspen and it never disappoints. We arrived at 9 for a 9:30 reservation. It was packed, but we were shown to three seats at the bar where beverages and our starters were enjoyed. We were pleasantly given a choice of an inside or outside table. We waited for an outside table (but, there are no bad tables) and enjoyed the evening and the meal tremendously. We will always place The Wild Fig on our must dine list during any visit to Aspen.

The Wild Fig matches the food
The Wild Fig matches the food quality of other high end restaurants in Aspen, but the setting is more comfortable and friendly than most. After four visits, we haven't found a dish that doesn't make the grade. The whole fish (although farm raised) was spectacular.

One of the best Aspen restaurants!
Unlike some Aspen restaurants, The Wild Fig is no hype and all delivery. The food was truly delicious, and the wait staff polished and professional. Our party of four had salads and various fish dishes, and all were very well prepared. Only complaint was the music, which was a tad loud given the size of the restaurant. I definitely would return.

Love Wild Fig! Best whole
Love Wild Fig! Best whole fish! Our Irish server was friendly and knowledgable and selected a great bottle of wine for us.

Loved the food but seating
Loved the food but seating is cramped. Parties of two were sat at four round tables pushed together to form a clover. This made it difficult to get in and out and resulted in inevitable eavesdropping on conversations. We were so close, you felt like you should be sharing food with your neighbors to the right and left . It is a small room so perhaps this situation is unavoidale but it detracted from our experience.

Our first night in Aspen, great food, service, and ambiance. Will definitely go back.

We eat here whenever we are in Aspen. The whole fish is delicious and great to split between two people.

great food COLD restaurant
The food was amazing and the service was fine. The problem was the atmosphere; it was 52 degrees outside and there wasn't any warm, indoor seating. They keep all the front doors open at night so ladies or anyone who tends to be cold, bring a wrap, close toe shoes and be prepared to stay covered. The place is very small so the cold air does travel. They really should post this on their website as who would ever think the only seating available is basically outdoors.

Wonderful dining experience. The fig salad was unique and delicious.

First night in Aspen
After riding and watching the pro cycle race we were ready for a nice dinner and found it at the Wild Fig. We loved everything about!

Great find in Aspen
This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner. Fantastic wine list, and great food you can't go wrong with this place.

A lovely small restaurant
A lovely small restaurant with consistently good food and service. I always bring out of town guests here. Convenient downtown location.

Charming Aspen dining
The pasta was like Silk.....yummy. Friend said the pork chop was one of the best ever. I'm from Kansas City, so the filet was fine, but really not steak country quality. Tried (3) of the mixed drinks - all were good.

We were three college friends
We were three college friends on vacation having a pre-Ballet
dinner; one of us has a place in Snowmass. It was an
out of towner that read about it in Fodor's that made the
reservation. The service was very attentive and efficient.
The food was imaginative and delicious. We enjoyed our
outdoor table; but, not all of them are covered in case of rain.
We switched from an indoor table when we got there.
It was perfect for us as a pre-performance option; we made a
5:30 reservation. Two of us enjoy cooking and, we all loved
the menu and our choices. The fish in a bag was a delicate but
flavorful lighter meal. The veal was very generous and tasty.

delicious dinner in aspen
Great meal, great service. Cozy restaurant, so make a reservation if possible. We had excellent cocktails, the salad and starter options were fabulous. Wild Fig fries were delicious. My only request would be to provide more veggies with the entree rather than having to order side dishes like at a steak house. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Aspen.

Great once you get in
Place was jammed at 9pm on an October Saturday night. Waited over a half hour for a place to eat but it was worth it. Food as good as always, the lamb shank and tiramisu were to die for. Broken expresso machine major disappointment of the evening.
