Wonderful find last minute
This restaurant is a diamond in the ruff. We were stuck waiting for a table at a nearby trendy yet delicious restaurant and we went to open table to see what nearby restaurants could accommodate us and we decided to give this one a try. My husband is from the area and we had eaten at Rise across the street but had never been here. We ended up with the patio to ourselves. The wine was incredible but the food was just unreal. I highly highly recommend this place for a couple!

The owner is both a great chef and a savvy businessman. The retooled menu offers small plate and full plates of each entree.
Prices are well below market given the strength of the kitchen and the wait staff.
This is a special occasion place priced so that it can also be a "nice night out place" too!!
Don't miss this if for no other reason than the strength of the kitchen. A true foodies experience.

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. One of my pet peeves (and no one else seems to care about this) is that I make a reservation for a set number of people and when we are seated at the table, it is set for more people and they whisk away the extra place setting(s). I do not understand why this happens! Our service was very good and we enjoyed almost everything we ordered. I liked the menu variety...we started off with foie gras that was delicious, and also had the pea agnolotti, which as very good. Then we had mussels, duck schnitzel and some sort of fish (i can't remember what type). All enjoyable but the fish could have used some salt.
I definitely will return.

Great for date night! The
Great for date night! The atmosphere was quite and romantic and we ended up staying for almost 4 hours enjoying the food and conversation. We did not feel rushed and the food was great. It seemed a little overpriced, but the atmosphere made up for it. Would definitely go again!

Both the food and service were outstanding. My date would loves French cooking she how much she enjoyed the food.

Back to Europe
Bijoux was amongst a long list of choices I had for our Friday Date night.
I picked Bijoux because it sounded romantic and cosy. we're ecstatic to have found this gem, both my husband and I are food and vine lovers, the menu is outstanding and the vine list is full of great choices. The Chef came by twice to check on us, our waiter was very professional and knowledgeable. I picked a Cauliflower soup and if i could have, I would have licked the bowl clean! I also had The Muscles - amazing! My husband had the Duck Schnitzel, within 5 minutes his plate was cleaned, and he was a very happy man. The portions are European size - beautiful and just enough. We left satisfied, happy and excited to have found our new favorite restaurant.

Recently took friends to Bijoux for a birthday dinner (party of 4). We all tried different salads that were wonderful. We ordered the pappardelle with boar ragu to split for an appetizer, it was delicious. I could not decide between the sole and salmon. The waiter suggested I order both. They have small plates on the menu so I ordered two small plates, a great way to sample more than one thing. Someone else ordered the chicken, that was great as well. The chocolate soufflé for dessert was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the evening very much. We will most definitely return.

Amazing Fine Dining!
I don't even know where to begin - our experience was positively wonderful from the moment we walked in the door, and long after we got back home we were still gushing about the food. The atmosphere was very romantic, and my wife and I had an unforgettable anniversary dinner. I simply can't recommend Bijoux enough. It is an absolute must!

Perfect Dining Experience
So many times I've been disappointed by "fine dining" that was really just pretentious, but this as a great dinning experience. Every course was delicious including the dessert, which is often a letdown after a good meal. We had the corn soup and prawn for appetizers with duck and Kobe beef as our main courses. All were delicious. I ordered a bottle of Caymus Cabernet. Since they were out, they offered me a bottle of Far Niente at the same price - a nice treat. We will plan on eating here on every trip to Dallas.

My First Time at Bijoux
A great combination of food and wine in a quiet and comfortable setting. A restaurant I look forward to returning to on a regular basis.
7/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
I thought the "new" Bijoux would have very good food, and not incredible food like the "old" Bijoux. I was wrong. The new concept is incredible, with the same high quality, fantastic food in a less formal setting. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience, and the service was top notch.
7/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food, nice ambiance and not overly pretensious. There is always a concern when going a French restaurant of some style over substance. Bijoux delivers fine French dining with a local nod. Our starters of the Rabbit Terrine and Fois Grais where well presented and tasted delicious with appropriate portion sizes. For the main it was the Duck and the Salmon, also well presented and well prepared. We had a California Meritage to accompany the food and it did pair well. On my next visit we shall try one of the Bordeauxs.

Every bite was outstanding!
We went to bijoux for the first time & had an awesome experience! Even the bread was fabulous! We didn't get anything that was mediocre, will definitely go back! If you are looking for quality food, this is your place! Everything we ordered we loved! We had heirloom tomato salad, corn soup, pork belly, Kobe beef brisket, duck schnitzel, and chocolate soufflé. All of the flavors were outstanding and the pairings with each dish were spot on. Do yourself a favor & try it!

I guess we didn't realize
I guess we didn't realize how small the portions were here. It is a nice thought that you can split entrees and try two different things, but the portion size is really, really small. The food was good although the salmon needed more flavor. I liked the wait staff especially as we never felt rushed and they were very good about interrupting us for plate removal , etc. They were very professional. My problem was even though we ordered a chocolate souffle, we left hungry. The waiter did tell us the fish was 3.5 ounces, so be warned. It will not be enough even for a woman. You definitely will want to order two entrees or double what you want.

The visit to Bijoux was exactly as described by the Dallas Morning News. The ambiance of the room was very welcoming and pleasant. The service was top quality from the greeting received at the door to throughout the meal. The table service was excellent, proficient, and unobtrusive. The food was delightful in the creativity and execution of the menu selections. Each dish was wonderful in taste and appearance.

a lovely evening
We chose Bijoux for restaurant week, having never dined there before. The staff was inobtrusive but attentive. All of the courses were tasty -- not especially inspired but no missteps. All in all, a very nice experience.
8/13/2013 5:00:00 PM
The food was wonderful! Good wine, great atmosphere.
8/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
Excellent service, creative menu choices. If you wish to get a HUGE portion of "non-creative" food this is not the place for you. Portions are moderate in size, appropriate for a hungry person....but not overwhelming for those who may be starved and are seeking a "Bubba Sized" meal.

One of our favorites if not
One of our favorites if not our very favorite. Scott and Gina are a great team! From the front door to the kitchen they never cease to offer the best in town!

This was our first time at Bijoux. The service was good and friendly. We were disappointed in the appetizer. There was no dressing on my wife's salad and we ordered our steaks medium rare and they came rare. Other then these mistakes, the food was good and the dessert, the chocolate soufflé, was terrific.
8/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had been trying for two or three years to get into Bijuox and finally this was our year. We were not disappointed. Even with the limited menu, there were great choices. We had a truly memorable night thanks in no small part to the attentive and knowledgeable staff, the spot on wine pairings and the beautifully prepared meal. We won't wait for restaurant week to go back.
8/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
One of he best meals I've had in a long time! Excellent taste and just the right portion size!

Visited for restaurant week
Visited for restaurant week and was very impressed. This is what fine dining in Dallas is all about.
8/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
This was our second visit to Bijoux, so yummy! All items listed on the menu were appealing, made it hard to decide! Added bonus-finding Schramsberg's Mirabelle Champagne on the wine list, nice surprise and treat.
Looking forward to our next meal.

Fabulous Dining Experience
We had a wonderful dining experience in this beautiful and comfortable restaurant. The service was friendly and well-timed. The food was well-prepared and delicious and the wine pairings were perfect. The Chocolate Souffle with Grand Marnier sauce was heavenly.

Superb dining experience
Bijoux cannot be compared to any other restaurant, because it is in a class by itself--far superior to any others. The presentations are exceptionally beautiful; sauces delicious; items out of the ordinary and wonderful.
Thank you for such a splendid experience.

Good food and wine
We went for DFW restaurant week. I was pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of the waitstaff on such a busy night. The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the cheesecake for dessert! The wine pairings for each course was spot on. The sommelier really knows her stuff!
8/31/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great Foie Gras!
The food was pretty good, although portions predictably tiny. The mussels were just OK to us, but we are from the coast. The real gem was the foie gras, the real thing and not a paté. Tender and flavorful, lightly seasoned. My hubby got the veal and me the steak. The veal was unique and fall-off-the-bone tender. The wine was also very nice. The restaurant had been slammed and obviously they were accidentally understaffed, but our service was stellar; we had several staff members making sure we were happy. A lovely evening, i would come again with a group. Lots of big tables with animated conversation.

Anniversary dinner special
Awesome food - fresh ingredients and perfectly prepared.
Great service. Knowledgeable waiter in both food and wine!

Elegant and cozy
I LOVE French restaurants. Not the stuffy kind, but ones that feel welcoming, then blow you away with their food. The chef was creative with his recipes, and came out to the dining space to make sure each guest was satisfied. This meal was truly a festival for my tongue!
My only constructive criticism I can conjure up is this... don't allow every employee serve a table. It was strange to have 5 different employees pouring water, serving dishes and answering menu questions. We weren't too sure who our waiter was.
We will return! How could we not, with such great atmosphere and surprising menu choices!
9/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
We celebrated our 21st anniversary at Bijoux. Everything was perfect, but we especially loved the food! There is certainly a very creative chef behind the delicious food we enjoyed. Can't wait to return!

Best French Cuisine in DFW
I made reservations for our 11th anniversary dinner here. The Belgian hostess greeted us and escorted to the quaint little bar for fine spirits before being seated. The French GM greeted us and took over our experience with the hospitality and skill of a top 5 star restauranteur. We felt like pampered royalty the rest of the evening. As a little challenge I asked the GM to order our appetizers, dinner, desert, and wine pairings. His choices, the Chef's execution, and the staff's attention to detail were nothing short of flawless. This occasion was very special for us. I have been to most of the best restaurants in the DFW area and this one now is at the top of that list. Bijoux has the best cuisine and service by far.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Bijoux has a select menu. i.e. limited selection. It's a great French restaurant with a twist. The chef likes to combine really interesting flavors without overwhelming or drowning his entrees in heavy sauces or spices and I think the menu changes seasonally. Service was great, waiters were very knowledgeable, and I love the interior design - very elegant yet intimate. Most entrees offer a choice of size (and therefore price). I would go back again.

Unusual and Delightful Menu
Our Friday night dining experience at Bijoux was quite lovely. In this small and intimate dining room, some of the most delightful and unusual Starters, Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts are offered for your dining pleasure. Presentation of foods is colorful and inviting. Flavors are fresh, new and exciting. Portions are perfect! This is a lovely Neighborhood Gem, quiet and romantic ambiance. The Waiters are attentive and friendly and allow you to enjoy your food and company, without interference.

French with a twist
Unusual items on menu like "Cheek". Food presentation was fantastic. Flavors were beautifully combines. Room was too cold and took 3 requests to have the temperature raised.
Service was ok. Waiter was not familiar with food ingredients and we had to call the waiter over to pour more wine.
11/1/2013 5:00:00 PM
This restaurant is definitely a choice for a special occasion or to impress someone with your own good taste. The staff was extremely helpful and professional and the food was not your ordinary run of the mill Dallas eateries. We would definitely go back.
11/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
We met friends for dinner on Friday evening. It was our first time at Bijoux and we couldn't have been more pleased! Each of us ordered something different for a starter and main course and not one person was disappointed. Really a fantastic experience - we will be back!

Rare and unexpected find
I have lived in Dallas for 10+ years and while I have heard the food at Bijoux was good, it exceeded all expectations. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best French I have had anywhere. On top of everything, the prices were quite reasonable (although still not cheap) considering the quality of the ingredients, flavors and presentation. Highly recommended.
11/9/2013 4:00:00 PM
My wife and I were treated like royalty and the food was great!!
11/11/2013 4:00:00 PM
The menu is small, but exciting. Some hits and near misses. Pork entree was terrific. Monkfish entree was fine, but would not recommend. 1st course shrimp was fantastic as was the pork belly. Duck pasta was pretty good as was the foie gras, but not as worthy as the others. Beef cheeks were Devine, but odd combo with shrimp. Our waiter was above average as was the water and bread service. Easy to listen in on neighboring conversations which was good entertainment for us.
11/17/2013 4:00:00 PM
My selections for dinner were wonderful. The waygu beef cheeks were fab and same for the pork belly. Perfectly prepared. Pork tenderloin was very dry and hard to cut. Staff was excellent. Our waiter was so helpful and patient. Overall, a very nice evening. I would come back for special occasion.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
More pork belly please
It's a really fun menu. Enjoyable atmosphere. Don't miss the pork belly.

Searched for a Romantic dining experience while visiting Dallas and was not disappointed! A beautiful gem that provided an elegant setting, but not stuffy; most delightful staff from the greeting at the door to the visit by the Chef. Every minute was special and made our Anniversary memorable. Thank you for a special evening! Wish Bijoux was closer to San Antonio!!!!
P.S. -- don't miss the Profiteroles for a perfect ending to a perfect meal!!!

A gem in Dallas and the U.S.
This was our first visit to Bijoux and will not be our last. The experience we had celebrating our anniversary could not be surpassed. Some other reviews mentioned ‘small portions’ and ‘unless you were a regular, staff ignored you’; we found none of this true. The food portions were perfect, we enjoyed four courses and left sated. The staff was attentive and unobtrusive, always around when we wanted them, but never hovering. Chef Scott has created one of the most creative and delicious menus we have ever enjoyed. As foodies we always look for special experiences and Bijoux is now at the top of our list. FIVE STARS!!!

What a woderful surprise!
My husband and I eat at "fancy" places when we go to Las Vegas... and this restaurant could totally hold it's own in any upscale casino/resort. For about half the price.
1. Order several of the smaller plates.... you get enough to share and sample without feeling overly full or still hungry at the end of the night.
2. Try the duck schnitzel if it's on the menu. You will not be disappointed. My husband doesn't even like duck and he was about to wrestle me for the last bite.
3. Order the chocolate souffle when you order dinner. It takes a bit to cook and it's well worth it. (It's so good I wanted to sneak into a corner and finish eating it by myself.)

I went there to celebrate
I went there to celebrate the aniversity with my wife, who is from France. According to her, the food reminds her of genuine French cruisine... The service is first-class, and we even had a server from France

a evening to remember
The food was excellent with complex flavors brought together in perfect proportions. Chef Scott was very personable and warm.
The services was outstanding. Cocktails and wine were up to standards.
