Good but Pricey
The food was very good, but the service was a little slow. There weren't many people in the restaurant at the time we were, but it took a long time to get our food which was only toasted ravioli and a pizza. By the way, the lobster claw-BLT pizza is outstanding as is the complimentary focaccia bread. Menu items are a little pricey, but it's still a restaurant to go to.

The small plates and signature
The small plates and signature bread were the highlight. Reasonably priced for the value. There were six of us and we had appetizers a couple of cocktails per person and entres and the bill was just under $50 per person. Great service, very attentive owner, and manager. Cool atmosphere we hung out comfortably for a couple of hours. Great find.

nice dinner in Clayton
The food was excellent - my wife's pizza was just delightful, as was my lobster pasta. WE also enjoyed the wine. It was nice to see owner serving food.

This was my second time at Bocci and I felt like a regular. Staff is well trained and exude genuine warmth and hospitality. Wine selection is good and well priced. Each of the dishes arrived timely and were well prepared. Menu needs a bit of rounding out and balancing. I think it needs a little more depth, especially on dishes with red wine affinity. Overall, a great place and I will be a regular.

Excellent meat at Bocci!
We really enjoyed our meal at Bocci this past Saturday. The hummus and pizza pita was a fabulous way to start, the pizza pita texture made it special. We then proceeded to have the Bocci salad which was refreshing. I loved the avacado slices and the grilled lemon was an elegant touch. For my entree I had the seared scallops which were amazing and huge. I was not a fan of the pea risotto but that's probably because I don't care much for rice. I would have rather had vegetables. My bf had the arctic char and was very pleased. It's a light dish with a nice size filet of fish (similar to trout) and plenty of veggies. To end the night we split the tiramisu which was also very good, standard but good just the same.

Dinner with friends
Bocci is a great restaurant! Great food, always adding creative dishes and consistent from one time to the next. A place you can o and talk to those at your table....and hear them. Service from the time you are great until presented the check is very professional and attentive.

my new favorite spot in clayton
Had early dinner with wife. Both have one of the two specials. the strip steak cooked perfect, wife had halibut one of the boxes dishes I have ever seen. The server was great, and the wine list had great value. At the end of the meal the manager came over and talked with us for a few minutes. if you haven't tried this place yet I recommend you do.

I don't understand why this
I don't understand why this place wasn't busier on a Satuday night.

We have visited Bocci about 6 times now and the food, service and ambience has been excellent every time.

Delicious Food, but change music
We like dining at Bocci and especially enjoy the home-made pastas. The service is attentive, but the music is LOUD '80's and really doesn't match the dining. We definitely will return, but will try to get away from the noise, out by the sidewalk.

Perfect location in Clayton
Food was good - not amazing but solidly good. Drinks are generous and service was very attentive. We sat outside and were able to enjoy a mid summer breeze.

Our first time eating at Bocci.
Our first time eating at Bocci. Although we live out West, this would be a restaurant we would make the trip "east" for. We asked to sit in the back part of the restaurant because we wanted to talk with our guests and have the noise level low. It was perfect. The front part and outside dining looks really nice. Food was great and innovative, and service very good!

Bocci Bar is Great
We went here on a beautiful Friday night in July with a party of 4. Our food was delicious, from crostini to fresh fish and delicious ribeye entrees. Our server was patient and attentive. We shall return.

early dinner with wife & son
I thought it was going to be 8 pm but it turned out to be an early dinner instead. Seated in the patio considering it was sunny & warm but not unbearable. My son had a slightly modified kid pizza which they accommodated. MY wife & I had the caprese salad, really excellent. My wife also had the tuna risotto special that the server (Carmello I think its the name) recommended, that was very good too, tuna perfectly seared to a rare & the risotto not too creamy. We were not drinking, slightly picky eaters & it was hot, but the service was prompt & on point throughout. We will most definitely go back!

Great food; great staff
Went here on a Friday night. Food was awesome and staff friendly and attentive. Only negative was where we were seated. Restaurant was not too crowded and most diners were outdoors or in bar area; both of which are located in front of restaurant. We were seated in dining room which is at the back. While the view of the open kitchen was entertaining, we felt like we were dining alone. One couple that came in after us was directed back near us but server told the to sit wherever they liked. The did a one-eighty and elected to eat upfront by other diners. My suggestion to waitstaff would be not to give diners the open option if you want to get tables in back filled. We should have asked for a different table too.

Every item of food was so
Every item of food was so amazingly flavorful. The bread, the appetizer, and the main course had the detail of quality and expertise of seasoning that makes your taste buds come alive. I just wish I had known about this little gem sooner. It is unfortunately tucked in between busier restaurants so could easily be missed.

Nice italian restaurant
Enjoyable experience. We had a large party (9 people). They reserved a small back room for us, which made it very quaint as we were the only people in the room. Overall, unless you can get this room, I wouldn't recommend for large parties. It's mostly set up for couples, or small groups. I have no negative comments, everything was as I hoped. The manager and proprietor were very courteous and visited our table several times. The manager, himself, even took the time to give detailed explanations of every menu item. Definitely recommend.

Pleasant evening overall
My husband and I went to Bocci to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time having dinner at the restaurant, although we had been there for drinks and dessert before. We had mussels for an appetizer and pasta for dinner (I had butternut squash ravioli, my husband had some pasta dish with braised meat), and drinks. The pasta is made fresh at the restaurant and was quite good. When the waitress found out we were there for our anniversary, she brought us a complimentary bread pudding for dessert. Who can turn down a free dessert? It was a nice gesture and we ate every bite, but I admit I was a little disappointed because I had planned or ordering the tiramisu . . . and I certainly didn't need two desserts!

This restaurant is easy to miss unless you are looking for it. We were able to get reservations at the last minute which was great. The Northern Italian food was a change of pace from the cream laden dishes most Italian restaurants have in the Saint Louis area. My halibut was wonderful along with the fresh roast vegetables and homemade pasta. (small amount which is great) The tomato caprese salad was out of this world. It was prepared a little differently than most restaurants which made it special. They also serve Serendipity ice cream which is a nice way to end a meal. We will be back.
